Jordan stepped up to the door of Alex's house. He waited for a moment before he knocked. He never knocked; he was welcome just to come right in when ever he wanted. But, today seemed different to him. He felt like an outsider knocking the door of a stranger. Jordan ended up standing there for ten minutes before the door opened and there stood Alex.

"Scared?"

"Yeah, I am just a little scared."

"You and me both. I'm sorry I freaked out."

"No, I should be sorry for dropping that on you."

"Best friends again?"

"Yeah, friends to the end"

The two friends hugged each other tightly. "Just don't get any ideas."

"Deal, but try not to out me to our classmates until I'm ready to deal with it."

"You mean there are people who don't know? I'm kidding, I didn't tell anyone."

"Thank you! By the way, what's for dinner?"

"Well how about I make lamb burgers," Amber asked.

"YES!" both boys agree at the same time.

"Good, they'll be ready in about 25 minutes. So go upstairs and talk."

"So what's it like?"

"It just seems like I'm more free. A part of me is able to breathe again."

"So, you feel better knowing that I know?"

"Yeah, I'm glad you know...but don't start trying to hook me up anymore then usual."

"Fine, but I guess we can double team people know. I get the girl and you get the buff stud."

"Yeah," Jordan started laughing. "I guess we can now. I'm still scared though; I mean there are a lot of people that are going to be less then tolerant of me and whomever I choose to have as a boyfriend. It's not going to be easy for me for a long time, and that hurts."

"Jordan, I support you. You are my best friend and I'm not going to let anything happen to you as long as I am around."

"people are going to ask if you're gay also."

"Yeah, but I will face that because I don't want to see my best friend hurt by anyone."

"Boys, dinner is ready!"

"We'll be right down!"

"Dinner was great Amber, may we be excused?"

"Not yet, I think I need to talk with you two first."

"I understand"

"Jordan, I think it is important you know that I support you one hundred percent in your given lifestyle. I understand how hard it can be sometimes. Alex and I will always be here as your second family."

"Thank you, but I have a question. Why did my mom say you told I was gay before long before I ever knew I was gay?"

"That is a fair question. I was able to tell your mother because I have the gift of spotting other gays and lesbians. All homosexuals and bisexuals usually have this gift. It's normally referred to as 'gay-dar'."

"Huh?"

"Jordan, Alex's father and I were both homosexuals that were very good friends and decided that we wanted to raise a child together. Elisabeth and Derrick were our lovers and helped us raise Alex before the World Trade Center attack."

"Oh...you're...a...les..."

"Yes, I am a lesbian. I was faithful to Liz then and I still am."

"Jordan, my mom helped me understand that there was nothing wrong with you loving me. I feel honored now, that you would want me over anyone else."

"This is just too much!"

"It gets easier, trust me!"

"Thanks again, I'm lucky to have you guys!"

"We'll always be here for you, Jordan. Call us anytime for any reason and we will be there for you."

"Thank you Amber, I hope I never need to call for those reasons. It's good to know I can though."

Jordan walked home thinking about the night's events. He wondered if he ever really would find his love out there. He just wanted to go home and have the love of his life be in his bed waiting.

"Alex, you should have told him the truth."

"I did tell him the truth."

"Fine, you should have told him the whole truth."

"I know, I wasn't ready...I'm still not. I don't want this life yet and I just want it to go away."

"I know you don't and I'm glad you're not denying the facts, just remember that you are not alone."

"I know, I have you and when I'm ready I'll have Jordan to help me too."

"One question though?"

"Yes, I do...I just didn't know it until now. I need to go to my room and think about all this."

"I left the tissue in there last night so don't flood the bed."

"Very funny, I won't flood the bed."

Alex sat in his room crying and thinking about the feelings he was having. In the past few days he had gone from curious to think he was in love with his best friend and he didn't know how to react. He wished he could just go to sleep and either have Jordan when he woke up or just be normal like the world thought he was.

"Thank you for calling Amber, it's hard on both of our boys not being able to just talk yet. They will come around soon."

"Jordan, are you up yet?"

"Yeah I'm up, I just don't really want to be."

"Today is a new day, get dressed and I'll take you down to the mall with me."

"The mall with my mother...I'll pass thank you."

"Okay, just no wild sex while I'm gone."

"Don't worry, I won't have any wild sex." Jordan's mother leaves for the mall to shop the sales.

The phone rings. "Hello?"

"Jordan, can we talk?"

"what about?"

"I just need to talk to you. It's important."

"I'm here for you, what do you need?"

"Can I come over?"

"Yeah, my mom's out shopping."

"Okay, I'll be there in like 10 minutes. I expect you'll be dressed by then."

"Maybe I will be by then."

"See you soon."

"You're ready to do this?"

"Yeah, I'm ready...I hope."

"Alex, you can do this. I'm behind you 100% in whatever you decide to do."

"Okay, I'm going then. Thanks again!"

Alex raced out of the house towards Jordan's house. He totally let his mind go as he ran to see his best friend. Behind him was all the fear he had before, but now he was ready. He was ready to take the friendship to new heights and hopefully make it stronger.

**This is the end of part two, I welcome any and all comments or ideas at the email address listed in the preface. Well this is still just the beginning. If the reaction is good, I might continue the story. Thanks for reading!**
