No, it couldn't be he thought, maybe there was another person somewhere else named Keith Mitchell, it probably wasnt' that uncommon of a name. The only thing that had grabbed his attention was the fact he had met a new boy, so maybe it was coincidence that he had just met a new boy, who had recently moved to a new town. HEY BRO ARE YOU STILL THERE...came across his computer screen, when he hadn't answered for awhile. YEAH, BRO...WHERE DID YOU MOVE TO SOME TOWN CALLED BELWAY TEXAS. Belway Texas, it was him, and the only person he could think of it being was Todd, but how could Todd be gay, nobody who knew all the right things to say to chicks, or conducted themselves in the fashion that Todd did could or would ever be gay. Has he thought this another thought came into his head, he was discribing himself to a tee. DAMN...he typed...IT'S SURE A SMALL WORLD, I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU THAT'S GONNA BLOW YOUR MIND...I'M PROBABLY LESS THEN FOUR MILES AWAY FROM YOU RIGHT NOW, SINCE I ALSO LIVE IN BELWAY. AND YOUR RIGHT THAT KEITH MITCHELL IS ONE HOT DUDE. TO BAD HE'S STRAIGHT AND DATING CARIE TERK, WHO COULD TURN MOST GAY GUYS STRAIGHT. THIS IS TOO COOL...came on his screen...MAYBE WE CAN MEET SINCE WE LIVE IN THE SAME TOWN AND EVERYTHING...I HEAR THERE'S A PARTY AT SOME DUDE'S NAMED SINCLAIR, ARE YOU GOING... Keith typed...I WAS PLANNING ON IT. On his computer screen...WHAT ARE YOU GONNA WEAR, SO I'LL KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Keith typed...I THINK I'LL WEAR MY BLUE PULLOVER, ANYWAY BRO I GOT TO GO, MOM'S CALLING ME FOR SUPPER. SEE YA DUDE... Keith logged off and stood for a few minutes starring at the computer screen. It was all so damn unbelievable. He had read stories on the Nifty Archives about people meeting like this, but had always thought it was just make believe and that it couldn't ever happen in real life. His friends on the internet were the only ones who knew he was gay, and he had never even considered the odds of meeting one of them. And now it was on the verge of coming true. Things in his life were going great, first of all, he had a pretty girlfriend, even though it was only a ruse, a real great friend in Rob, and Todd was also turning into a good friend, and now he was finally gonna meet his best online gay friend. What could be better, he thought. * * * * * * * * The rest of the week went by without much incident, hanging with Keith and Rob had done wonders for Todd's first week. Guys were respecting him, something he had never experienced. At lunch on Wednesday, Keith and Rob's table was full, Carrie was sitting next to Keith and Wendy was next to Rob, since he had asked her out finally, they seemed to be more relaxed towards each other. Todd was gonna go and sit at another table, when some dude he didn't know stood up and offered him his seat. Todd politely declined but Keith motioned for him to sit down. Every guy Todd saw, he wondered if he was his online friend, he knew it had to be one of the guys in school, but which one. He checked his hair in the mirror, making sure it looked just the way he liked it. Ran his hands over his face, and could feel just the beginning of a stubble on his checks, and decided it looked good, not scraggly, but just enough to make him look rough around the edges. He slipped on the new pair of black jeans he had bought that afternoon just for the occasion, and his favorite shirt, a black and white T. He looked himself over one more time, and couldn't believe how damn good he looked, not that he was concieded or anything. He walked into the livingroom and announced to both his parents, who were watching TV that he was going to the party and would be back home at around twelve. He kissed his mom on the cheek, grabbed his keys and walked out of the house. He followed the directions that Keith had given him, driving his Cherry Red, Chevy Silverado, blasting the latest hit song out of the speakers. Sinclair's house wasn't hard to find, judging by the line of cars in front of the house, around the corner, and on the otherside of the street, the onlything he would have to do know is determine which house it actually was. "Todd," he heard a voice calling him, and running to catch up to him, was the kid who had given him his seat at lunch that day. It isn't him, Todd thought, he's not wearing a blue pullover. "Good to see you made it," he said, "Shit, bro, anybody who's anybody is at this fucking party, well not everybody is here yet, Keith and Rob haven't shown up, but when your as awesome as they are, it's only right that they make a fashionable entrance." "Let's go in and grab a cold one," Todd said, "there is alcohol here right?" "What would a party at Sinclairs be with somebody getting all tarantau, and Rob having to manhandle Timmy because he has too much to drink and thinks his superman. Man it's gonna be a wild night, and there is some hot looking chicks here, maybe I can get one of them to suck my dick." "Bro," Todd said, putting his arm across the shoulder of, hell he hadn't even bothered to find out the dudes name...oh, he would find it out as soon as Keith and Rob got there, and pretend like he knew it all along, "Let's go and show this town how to do it upright." * * * * * * * * "See, Bro," Keith said, to Rob, "When you really wanna pick up her up at nine, then you tell her to be ready by eight-thirty, and maybe she will be ready by nine." The were parked outside in front of Carrie's house in Keith's 2001 Chevy Malibu, a birthday present from his parents, listening to the latest Cd from Vertical Horizon, which was fast becoming Robs favorite new band, he would always perfer AC/DC and Metallica over anything anyday. They had arrived at her house at a quarter 'till nine and here it was almost twenty after and neither girl had made an appearance as of yet. Keith seemed in a hurry to get to the party, and Rob just figured he was ready to start having a good time, little did he know of the ulterior motive behind Keith's wanting to get to the party. Keith had washed and Ironed his blue pullover, even though it was clean sitting in his closet, went to the salon and got his hair styled, Keith had an obsession with his hair and only person was allowed to come near his hair. Tina had been cutting his hair since he was eight, and in all this time no other person came near or touched his head. Rob wasn't really one to look at guys, but he couldn't help but notice how good Keith was looking that night. Damn, he thought, he must be planning on getting some tonight. "Look, there they are," Rob said, "Damn, isn't she beautiful." "Yeah, "Keith said, "I'm sure a lucky guy to be dating her." It wasn't all a lie, he thought, she is beautiful. "I wasn't talking about Carrie," Rob said, "she is pretty, but not as pretty as Wendy." Keith laughed and punched Rob on the shoulder. "Boy you've got it bad." Rob got out and opened the door, letting Carrie sit in the front seat next to Keith, well him and Wendy slide into the backseat. The ride to Sinclair's was filled with them talking and laughing about everything they could think of, singing along to the songs on the radio, since the girls insisted they listen to the radio instead of a cd. "Damn," Rob said, when they turned the corner to the block in front of Sinclair's house and he saw the line of cars, "You think you can find a place to park in this mess?" "I'll let you all out in front of the house and then I'll cruise around a try to find someplace not to far away," Rob and the two girls walked into the party, loud dance music was blarring from the stereo sytem, a few couples were grinding on the floor, there were groups of people all around carrying on their own private conversations. He scanned the room and noticed Todd standing by himself near the kitchen. "Babe," he said, to Wendy, "I'm gonna run over and say hi to Todd, be back in a sec." "Todd, " he said, "What the hell is going on." "Where the hell have you guys been?" Todd asked, "Me and...oh fuck, I don't even know the little dudes name..." "Rob laughed, "Dale, dude. His name is Dale, and if anybody fucks with him, then I will just have to kick their ass." Todd laughed. Rob was at least five inches taller then Dale's five foot five inches, and he himself stood at least three inches taller then rob. There was no doubt in Todd's mind that Rob could do exactly as he said. They were chatting away, when Rob looked up and saw Timmy Rodriquez standing next to the beer keg. He excuse himself and walked over towards the beer keg. "Hey, Timmy," he said, "are you having a good time?" Timmy nodded his head, "One hell of a party ain't it?" Rob poured himself a beer, drank it down in one gulp and then turned back towards Timmy, "Your sticking to the beer tonight, right?" he asked. "Yeah," Timmy said, he didn't want a confortation with Rob, at least not well he could remember it. "Okay, just checking, but if I see you take even one shot, I will kick your ass and the ass of the person who gave you the shot. Are we at an understanding?" Then to address his point, he walked over to the stereo system turned down the volume and announced that nobody was to give shots to Timmy or they would answer to him. The door opened and Rob saw Keith walking in, he hollered "Keith over here," Todd turned towards the door and dropped the beer he was holding in his hand, it all seemed like slow motion, because walking towards them was a blue pullover.
