Believe me, I definitely tried to write but I felt the biggest block ever. But now I'm back to finish the LAST chapter. I'm so glad you guys have sent your word of encouragement. I really enjoyed writing this! Lastly, I want to give out a special shout out to Roger. Your email months ago touched me, and it's the reason I've decided to finish this instead of abandoning it. I hope the best for you, and for your Beau's sweet soul. _____________________________ We sat there, Sam and I, legs crossed and knees touching. On her bed, flipping through our yearbooks from times past. Just that morning had been graduation. We were no longer high school seniors, but on our way to become adults in the "real world". Her and I have been through a lot, even being enemies at one point. But true friendship lasts till the end. Downstairs, the doorbell rung. "Are we expecting anyone?" I asked, looking up. Sam tilted her head, "Not that I can think of." It rang again. We were both off our feet and down the stairs and at the door. She took a look through the peep hole, her face showing surprise. She opened the door and smiled. "Hey Beau! Long time no see." There stood Beau, a man I once loved. I remembered that day in an instant, when I thought he was dead. He may as well been. His father had made up with his ex wife and decided to move back to Louisiana, taking Beau along with him, right after he came out of the hospital. Amazingly, he came out with nothing but a broken arm. I was not so lucky. I was stuck in the hospital while he moved away. We had written, texted, called, and skyped. But at a point, we both just moved on. Believe me, it was hard for me to accept. But I did it. I haven't talked to him since the summer before last. Beau smiled at me and I smiled back. He moved towards me with open arms and we hugged. Sam went back upstairs after he asked for some privacy. Beau and I walked down the deserted street, looking up to the night sky at the few stars that shone. "Do you still remember that night?" He asked in a whisper. I knew what he was talking about. I nodded. "I still have nightmares," I whispered back. He turned to be suddenly and held me tightly. "Beau, what's wrong?" I asked. He pulled back some, but still kept an arm around my waist. He ran his thumb over my lips. "After all this time, Aiden, I can't stop loving you." I looked at him, into his eyes and knew he was telling me the truth. The time we spent together came rushing back. I remember the first time we met, outside at the fence separating our properties. Our first kiss, our first date, our first time... even the stuff that I didn't like. The drama too came up. But despite even that, the good memories won. I leaned up to Beau and his lips met mine. He held me firm against him, and I swore to myself to never let go.
