Anyway, here goes: --- I Think I've Flipped. Chapter 14. (Will's POV) It's been a long time since I've been this happy with a guy. No, that came out wrong... What I meant to say is that I don't think I've ever felt this way about a guy before. I'm not exaggerating. Tyler has managed to keep me feeling good and in high spirits. He's charming, protective and surprisingly sweet. It still amazes me how much he's changed over the last couple of years. Did I mention anything about our first date? It was a remarkable experience. No one has managed to sweep me off my feet like he has done. I mean...come on... Lying down on a field while watching the stars in the sky... what could be more romantic and perfect than that? This was truly the best thing I could have ever asked for. While thinking about my date with Tyler, I was busy tying the laces of my sneakers on my bed. My phone suddenly began to ring behind me. The song playing in he background was One Direction's 'One Thing'. Okay ...okay... I know I said that I'm more into the indie scene, but One Direction is just too good to not listen their music. It also doesn't hurt that they are fine as hell. I've even managed to get Tyler to listen to them on the way home from our date. Although I think I'm regretting doing this, because now we're fighting who gets Niall. I'll be damned if I'm going to let Tyler have Nialler all to himself. Once I finished tying my shoes, I laid back, grabbed my phone and checked the screen to see who was calling. "Well speak of the devil," I replied as I pressed the answer button, "Good morning Sterling... How are you?... Oh I'm doing fine... Listen...Did you get my message from last night? ... You did? Okay...I'll see you in school then...All right... talk to you later... Bye!" I hung up my phone and let out a sigh. Everything is going great between Tyler and me... The only problem is Sterling. The poor guy seems to be developing deep feelings for me and that's a major problem. My conscious is eating me up alive about this. I can't continue seeing him knowing fully well that I have stronger feelings for someone else. This isn't my styl. So...I decided to break it off with him today. However, there is just one tiny problem... how do I let him off gently? I mean...what in the hell am I supposed to say to him? I can't tell him I'm interested in someone else. Dammit...I should've thought this through more before making my mind up to break it off with him. I let out a small sigh from annoyance as I got up from bed to go to school. I placed my phone in my jean pockets, grabbed my backpack from my desk and headed out my bedroom door. Even though I can smell bacon and eggs coming from downstairs, I'm not in the mood to eat anything. I am afraid it would come back up after my talk with Sterling later. Ugh... Monday Mornings... How I hate you. "Will! You're just in time for some breakfast!" I hear my mom scream from the kitchen. "Sorry mom! I'm in a hurry this morning" I said as I bolted down the stairs. "What? Why?" I hear my mom shout as she peeked out from the kitchen. "What's the rush?" she asked me. A second later, I can see my dad and brothers' heads peek out from behind mom. My family is really nosey. "I've got to attend to something at school. It's... uh... very important," I said to no one in particular. No sooner had the words left my lips; I could see the twins as they narrowed their eyes in response. "Well...Look at you...Focusing on school...Never been more proud of you son," my dad hollered as he saluted me. Sure, it's a little corny, but that's just the way my dad says goodbye to me... and I wouldn't have it any other way. "I'll see you guys later," I laughed as I walked out the front door I walked down the street trying to decide how to break the news to Sterling. In case you haven't noticed, I don't really have a lot of experience in this department. I was walking past the Hirsche's house when my phone began to ring. I fished it out of my pocket as my face lit up when I read the caller's name. I quickly answered it. "Hi Tyler...What's up?" I asked. "Nothing much... Just called to check up on my favorite boy. I saw you heading out this morning pretty early. Do you have something to do before school?" he asked with a hint of concern in his voice. "Oh...well I'm actually going to school right now...I've got to talk to Sterling first before classes start." As soon as I mentioned Sterling's name, I swear I heard a sharp intake of breath coming from the other line. "Why... Would you need to talk to Sterling?" he asked. I can sense the aggravation in his tone, but he was really trying to remain calm. The word to remember here is trying. "I'm telling him that I can't see him anymore," I answered plainly. "What... Why?" Tyler asked as I could sense once again he was angry. "What do you mean why?" I asked right back. I stopped and looked around me for a moment. Once I saw that the coast was clear, I briskly crossed the street and continued my conversation. "I mean...why are you going to do that?" he asked over the phone. I stopped momentarily to entirely process Tyler's question. "What do you mean why? I'm seeing you aren't I? It wouldn't be right to keep seeing him," I explained. I was still confused over why Tyler was acting this way. There was a moment of silence on the other end. No doubt Tyler was digesting the information. "Don't," he finally said. "What?" I asked. "I said don't do it," Tyler barked. "Tyler," I began, "What the hell is wrong with you?" Okay...this is getting really weird. A few days ago, Tyler was extremely jealous when Sterling kissed me, and he just told me not to call it off with the Brit. I don't get it. I feel like I am starring in an episode of The Twilight Zone. "Don't call it off please," Tyler begged. "If you break it off with him, then your friends will start to ask questions. I... I can't risk that Will." "Tyler...You know as well as I do...this is isn't right," I explained, "I can't lead him on knowing I have feelings for someone else. I... I can't do this to him, to you or me." "Will... please... I'm begging you. I can't risk this." I had to stop walking to think about what he just told me. Going into this relationship, I knew fully well that I would have to deal with keeping this a secret from everyone. I was fine with meeting Tyler secretly away from school, but I never thought that I would have to have a pretend relationship with someone else. "Will... Are you there?" I shook my head from my daze and focused back on the conversation I was having. "Yeah, I'm here..." I replied. "Please Will... If you love me, you would do this for me," he said. Oh great... He played out the 'love' card. Now it just got way more serious. I let out a huge sigh before answering, "Fine... I... won't break it off with Sterling just yet." "Oh my god. Thank you Will!" I heard Tyler sigh in relief from the other end. "Alright! I'll talk to you soon babe...alright?" He replied as he hung up. As soon as the call ended, I placed it back inside my pocket as I shook my head. I know what I'm doing is wrong, but I hope it pays off. I looked up at the sky and said a small prayer for this all to work out. (Tyler's POV) Everything seems to be going well between Will and me. After that short argument over whether or not he should break it off with Sterling, everything else has been smooth sailing since then. That had been a month ago and like I said, everything is fine. Will agreed to continue seeing Sterling on the pretense of a budding relationship. In this way, his friends wouldn't be suspicious over Will's love life. I admit it wasn't the noblest thing to do... Okay, it probably was one of the dirtiest things I've ever had to do in my life. I just didn't know how to handle it. I'm not really in any position to publicly announce to the world that Tyler Beaumont, football captain and king of Ridgemont High, is dating a dude. I can imagine my position in school take a nose dive down into a negative value the minute it is known... No, I'm not ready...not right now. It works out well for everyone involved. Will sees Sterling every now and then. I get his full-undivided attention during the weekends. However, it's not like I'm allowing Will to do whatever with the Brit. I mean there are some ground rules. For instance, he can't have sex with him. I know your probably wondering what I mean about sex. This simply means anything involving the removal of clothing. I was happy when Will agreed to this demand. "Hey Tyler, you okay?" "What?" I asked as I snapped out of my dazing. I looked at my left and saw Will frowning at me. "I asked you if you wanted to leave already. The credits are already done," Will said as he pointed at the movie screen up front. I looked at where he was pointing and sure enough it was blank. The lights were turned on and the audience was slowly exiting the theater. "Oh... I'm sorry," I said as I ruffled my hair in embarrassment. I wasn't paying attention to Will at all which couldn't be good. "Don't worry about it," Will said with a smile before bursting into a chuckle, "You looked really cute when you have your daydream face on." "I don't have a daydream face!" I replied instantly. "Yes...you do," Will said, "It looked a lot like this." I watched Will stare off into the distance like a dumbass. I would have laughed at the sheer look of stupidity on his face... except that he was pretending to me. I growled and gave him a small punch on the shoulder causing him to laugh a little harder. "Awe... Come on don't get angry... I did say you looked cute." Will said with a smile. "Yeah...Yeah whatever," I replied as I looked away from Will. I crossed my arms in annoyance. From the corner of my eye, I could see Will smiling before he grabbed my hand and squeezed it. His action startled me a bit. "Sorry?" he replied as he gave me his irresistible puppy dog eyes. I looked at him as I leaned closer towards him. I stared at him before finally giving him a quick peck on the lips. "Apology accepted," I said as I gave him a smile. "Uhm...can we go now?" I looked behind Will and found Chris pouting at us. Oh, I forgot to tell you that we invited little boy Chris with us when we saw him in the mall today. Will laughed at the little guy before replying, "Yeah... We can go." We all stood up from our seats with Chris scurrying past us. He seemed pretty eager to get out of the theater. He probably had enough kissing for one day. Once we stepped out of the theater, we started talking about the movie. "So Chris...did you like the movie?" I asked him. "Yeah... Especially when they did all those special magic things! I mean...how cool is it that he managed to push all those police cars away!" Chris answered excitedly. He started bouncing up and down as he tried to mimic the powers from the movie. "Yeah, I want to know how in the hell they managed to create all those special effects. They were amazing. It seemed so real," Will announced, as he seemed to be still wondering about it. I draped my arm over Will's shoulder and gave him a kiss on the cheeks. Will snapped out of thinking and looked at me surprised. "What was that for?" he asked me. "Oh nothing... I just like how you look when you have your day dream face on," I answered with a sly smile. Will blinked at me before bursting into a fit of laughter. He playfully shoved me away and said, "You prick... That is my line!" "Uhh... Will and Tye?" Will and I stopped laughing and looked at Chris who was blushing at us. "What is it Chris?" Will asked him. "I...uhh... want to say thanks for letting me watch the movie with you guys... And that you paid for it," Chris said before blushing a deeper shade of red. He looked down on the floor to hide his embarrassment. I smiled as I knelt down so I was almost at his eye level. "Hey don't worry about it, okay? Don't be embarrassed! Think of it as big bros treating their younger brother out to a movie okay?" I told him as I grabbed his shoulder forcing him to look at me. "I... I've never had a big brother before," Chris said as he looked up at both Will and me. "Well... You've got two now," Will said as he leaned down. "One incredibly smart and good looking fellow. The other one...A bumbling... hulking golden gorilla," he said before ruffling my head. "Hey... what do you mean gorilla?" I asked Will in annoyance causing both Will and Chris to laugh out loud. When Will feigned some gorilla moves, I found myself laughing along as well. God...I love this boy! Once the laughter died down I asked the two if they were hungry. Of course, the immediate response I got was from Chris. "Yes... I want to go to McDonalds again and get a Happy Meal! I'm missing that last part of the Ben 10 toy set!" Chris said as he jumped up and down in excitement... Where does this kid get all his energy? "Okay... why don't you go to the food court? Tyler and I will be there soon," Will replied. "Okay!!" Chris beamed before darting off towards McDonalds. Will laughed as we watched Chris run off. When he turned to face me, I looked at him with a sly smile. "What?" he asked me. "A golden gorilla? Really?" I asked him as I shook my head. "Why not?" Will laughed. "Of all the things to compare me too, it had to be that?" I asked him as I gave him the most incredulous look. "Why not? You're strong like a gorilla and you have blonde hair... I thought it fit you well," Will said with a laugh. "Oh I'll show you just how strong I am!" I said with a laugh before dipping Will down and giving him another kiss on the lips. As soon as I brought Will back up, I asked him, "Strong enough for you?" "Oh very much!" Will answered with a chuckle. I shook my head in amusement before replying, "And there's plenty more where that-" Holy shit...Fuck... Fuck... Will must have noticed my change of expression because he asked, "Tyler, what's wrong?" I pushed Will a few feet away from me and shouted, "What are you doing here?" Will who seemed to be confused and baffled, quickly turned around and found out why I was freaking out. Logan was standing a few feet away from us holding an ice cream cone. The expression on his face was that of pure shock... Shit... This can't be happening. Logan, my friend AND fellow teammate was standing in front of me. Did he just see me and Will kiss? What the fuck is going-- "Will?" a voice behind us called out. Will and I turned around and saw a familiar girl in front us. "Taylor?" Will trailed off. It was no mistake...that pixie-cut hair and tattoo on her arm... It was definitely his friend from his lunch table. "Tyler...What the hell is going on?" asked the voice behind us. Will and I turned around and noticed Logan looking more and more confused with each passing second. "Will... Why are you with him?" Taylor asked from behind us. Shit... Will and I were caught in between two people we know... fuck... fuck... fuck. My nightmares are coming true...Oh my fucking god. *** Note: Well, here it is finally. Took me awhile to get this done. No excuses will be made, only apologies for making you all wait this long. Anyways, I welcome your feedback on this chapter. Not really a lot happened as this chapter served as more of a filler in getting the story along. Now that people know about Will and Tye, what do you think will happen?
