Heads up: This story is about a kid living a normal life at a high school. He has a crush on one of his good friends but doesn't know what to do about it. During the story relationships will progress and there will be much drama with in it. Please enjoy! Chapter 1: School is Boring The school season had already started. It was beginning to get cold outside. It's what happens when you live in Michigan, November hits and its' already starting to snow. Every ones summer tans have faded, and everyone is starting to put the shorts away and wear the heavy clothes. "Hoodies" or sweatshirts are the most common worn around the school. Long pants such as sweats (usually worn on days you don't really care what you look like), jeans, and khakis are being worn already. It sad to see that summer has ended and that there wasn't much of a fall. It was a typical day at Sleeping Bear Dunes High school. There were mass number of people crowding the halls, there were the sounds of lockers shutting constantly throughout, people getting into yelling arguments over pointless stuff, typical drama found in every high school. "Hey David!" someone shouted to me as I was getting my French books out of the bottom of my friends locker. We were all assigned lockers at the beginning of the year but mine was so ridiculously inconvenient I shared a locker with my best friend Eric. I turned around to see who it is, although I was pretty sure I knew who it was by the voice I wanted to greet them anyways. "Hey Molly how's it going?" I replied to her as she gave me a nice friendly hug. Molly was always like that, a very physical person. She always touched the person she was talking to, it made you realize how she was such a direct person. We were talking to one another as we were walking to band hall where we usually go in the morning. It was a boring conversation; she was talking about the latest gossip about some people I didn't even know. I was one of few people in the school that didn't care what happened to other people, who certain people were, and also I didn't care what anyone thought of me; which in my opinion takes much talent. Molly and I had parted from one another as she saw some other people she wanted to talk to and I saw a group of friends I normally talk to. I walked up behind my friend Chris and put my arm around him, sort of like a backwards hug to greet him. Everyone else had already seen me coming and so they weren't surprised as he was. Chris was a senior, although he was a senior he looked like he was to be a sophomore. I mean I looked more of a senior then he did. He was pretty short compared to me, he was about 5'8 and I was almost 6'5. It was ok though because I would love to be shorter then I am. People think it would be great being tall and what not, I strongly disagree. "How's it going guys?" I said as I entered the circle in which they were standing in. Everyone looked pretty tired. Jessica greeted me with a hug as Molly did, but Jessica was a lot taller then molly and was an easier task to accomplish. Jessica also had long brown hair as opposed to Molly who had fluffy blonde hair. There was definitely a difference. "You want to go to Spanish for me and I can go to French?" Chris said jokingly. It sucked having a language first hour. My French teacher wasn't the most exciting teacher ever and from the way Chris talked about his Spanish teacher, he wasn't any better. "How `bout we just don't go to first hour?" I said smiling. "Sounds like a plan." He replied back. We did this like every morning. We never wanted to go to first hour. After some conversation and catching up on one another's lives, the first bell rang. The most dreadful bell of the day; it signified that we still have 5 more hours to go through after the end of class. The Spanish and French classes were right by each other. There was a language area of the school. All the classes that had to deal with any sort of language were there. That included French, Speech, English, and Spanish. It was right above the lobby of the school on the second floor. The math and science department was right above that on the third floor. And on the other side of the school the gym, library, and history classes were held. Our school was relatively small, but I have to say it was a nice looking school. Chris and I walked to our first hour along with my friend Eric. We had met him as we were passing through the lobby. Eric and Chris didn't know each other, I mean they knew each others names but that was about it. Eric had to stop at the locker so Chris and I continued to our class. "You want to do something after school? After all it is Friday and I don't have anything planned." Chris asked me as we were nearing the end of the hallway where the classrooms would stop us. "Yeah, we can go see a movie or something. Who knows we can think about something we can do while were in class." "Alright sounds like a plan, do you have an extra hoodie? This class is freezing at the beginning of the day." "Just take mine, it may be a little big on you but whatever it will keep ya warm." "Thanks" he replied and with that we went into our classrooms. I never minded to help Chris. The thing was I really liked Chris. My first hour was also freezing but id rather keep him warm although I wasn't the one actually doing it. All I did all first hour was think about what we could do, but while doing so I drifted off into a daze of how he looked. Some may argue that he wasn't the hottest kid ever or whatever but I wasn't a shallow person. When I like someone its because of how they are, not what they look like, but to me he was a very good looking person. He may be short, but it was a cute kind of short. He ran cross country this year, it was his first time doing so and the season had just ended leaving more time for us to hang out. Although I still had practice for Crew, Friday was our day off. While the teacher at the front of the room was lecturing us about the French verb "faire" which all I caught out of the entire thing was it meant "to do"; I sat there staring off into space and before I realized it the bell to leave had rang.
