It really hurts   Chapter 2


Jerry woke up the following morning and he was feeling better than he had
in a long time. His best friend Mike was sound asleep next to him,
and for the first time in a long time Jerry's feeling came to the
surface. He was feeling the love that he had for Mike and that he had
known was there for a long time. Jerry was not in love with Mike but he
loved him like a brother, after learning about Mike's cancer fight last
night, he was
not going to let him face this battle alone.

Mike woke up several minutes later and had a genuine feeling of peace and
security, he then realized that it was due to being held in the arms of
his best friend. He looked up at Jerry, said thanks for staying here last
night, you have no idea what it meant to me. I thought that after
I talked to you that I would never see you again.

Jerry, looked and smiled at Mike and said, I am not a sunshine friend, I
am not here when everything in fine and gone when it gets tough, I am
a true friend, the one that is here no matter what, if you need me you
just call, I will be here before you know it. Jerry then smiled and said
I think that you should do something about the tree in your shorts, it is
starting to move me to the side of the bed, then he laughed, he leaned
over and said, Mike I love you and I will always be here for you, then he
kissed him on the forehead, I think we should get up and clean up before
we go to the doctor.

Mike looked at Jerry and smiled and said, you really meant it when you
aid you were going with me.

Jerry said, you are my best friend and I would not lie to you.

The boys got out of bed and they went into the bathroom to get cleaned
up, they showered, dried off and they got dressed, the cleaned up Mike's
room, then headed for the kitchen for breakfast. They sat down and Jerry
had a stack of 5 pancakes and some sausage. Mike had two pancakes and two
sausages, while Jerry was just finishing, Mike got up and hurried to the
bathroom, Jerry heard mike and it it sounded like he was throwing up, He
looked at Mrs. O'Leary and asked is he ok?

Mrs. O'Leary said this usually happens when he eats before he goes to the
doctor, or when his cancer is acting up, it could be either of them,
we won't know till we get to the doctors.

Should I go check on him? Jerry asked.

Mrs. O'Leary said I think he would like that!

Jerry got up and went to the bathroom door and knocked.

Mike said, come in.

Jerry opened the door and asked if he was ok, or did he need any thing.

MIke said, I guess I am ok, he stood up wipe his mouth and turned away
from Jerry, he started to cry.

Jerry said, Mike why are you crying?

Mike said I was hoping that you would never have to see me like a little
baby puking and crying.

Jerry took hold of Mike turned him around and said, you are my little
baby and I don't care what you do as long as when you need me you ask for
my help, deal My friend

Mike smiled and said, deal

Jerry said I am here for you, you need to talk I am here for you, if you
need a hug, I am here for you, if you need anything, I am here for you,
Mike don't ever be afraid to ask me for anything.

Mrs. O'Leary came and knocked on the door and said it is time to leave.

The boys came out and she hugged them both, then they went out got in the
van and headed of to the doctor's office.

Mike was sitting in the back by Jerry.

Jerry noticed him shaking, he asked if he was cold?

Mike shook his head no and said today I am really scared, I have a bad
feeling about this.

Jerry leaned over to Mike and said, nothing bad can happen when I am with
you.

When they got to the doctor's office, they had to wait about 1 1/2 hours,
it was really taking a toll on Mike, jerry looked over at his and saw the
same look that he saw this morning, He knew that Mike was going to get
sick again, to avoid any questions Jerry stood and said, hey mike let's
go for a walk, they stood and walk away from his mom and around the
corner, then Mike quickly ran to the bathroom, Jerry went in with him,
Jerry locked the door and when Mike got sick, Jerry help clean up.

Jerry was now the one that was scared, he looked into the toilet and saw
that there was blood as well.

Mike was just sitting on the floor.

Jerry sat down beside him, I am sorry that I cam not do more for you. I
am beginning to understand why you were always running to the bathroom,
OH GOD MIKE, WHY DID YOU NOT TELL ME BEFORE.

Mike said I was afraid that you would not want to hand around with a kid
that was dying.

Jerry grabbed Mike and said, don't say that, don't you ever say that
again, I don't know what I would do with out you, I really never realized
how important and how much you mean to me until now. Please don't leave
me.

Mike rested his head on Jerry shoulder and said, I will try, but it is
not up to me.

Jerry stood up reached for Mike and said, let's go see what the doctor
has to say, he helped Mike up and wrapped him in a hug that told Mike
that he would always be there.

Mike realized that he now had a place to go that he cold be as healthy,
as everyone else and have a friend that really loved him, and that
spot was in Jerry's arms.

They went back into the waiting room and sat down, A few minutes later
the nurse came out and took Mike into the back, Jerry lost it.

Mrs. O'Leay moved over to him and hugged him and said, I am glad that you
are Mike's friend, he thinks the world of you, He was told me many times
before that if anything happened to him to make sure that I took care of
you. Jerry, I don't know if you know but Michael really loves you and is
so scared of loosing you, he is more determined to try and hang around so
you will always have someone that cares about you as much as he does.

Jerry, with his head on her shoulder, was crying and through his tear he
said, Mike has no idea how much he means to me. I love him so
much, I can't lose him, it would be like losing a part of me.

The nurse came out and said that, Mike was in the back and was asking for
Jerry.

Jerry walked to the back room with the nurse, Mike was laying in a bed
and looked to be half asleep, as Jerry walked up to the bed, Mike
opened his eyes and smiled at him.

Mike said, I guess you have bitten of more than you can chew, You did not
know that you were getting yourself into a situation where
you had to deal with a sick wimp.

Jerry looked down at Mike and said, I have two things to say to you,
first don't let me ever hear you say that again, secondly hang in there
we will beat this thing together, you can not get rid of me that easily,
I am here for the duration.

Mike looked him in the eyes and when he did Jerry saw something
there that scared him.

Jerry asked, did you get some bad news?

With tears starting to roll down his cheeks, he looked at Jerry and all
he could say was yes.

Jerry pulled up a chair and sat down, he looked at Mike and said, you
need to get some rest, you sleep now, I will be right here when you wake
up.

Mike half smiled with his still facing Jerry, he closed his eyes and
nodded off to sleep.

Jerry took Mike's hand in his bowed his head and he started to pray, he
asked God to make his friend better, he asked him to help him through
whatever lies ahead, and he prayed for the strength that he would need to
help Mike get through the ordeals that were to come.

Several hours passed, Mike started to stir and he opened his eyes and saw
that Jerry was still holding his hand and was sitting there and was
waiting for his friend to wake up,

The nurse came in and asked Mike how he felt and Mike replied that he
felt better but was still a little weak. the nurse said, that he could go
when ever he felt strong enough.

Mike said, I think I can go now, Jerry will help me if I need help. He
looked at Jerry and he smiled and said, you got it bro. Mike got up and
almost lost his balance and Jerry caught him.

Jerry said why don't you sit down on the bed, I will help you get
dressed, Jerry grabbed MIke's pants and started to put them on him, as
he was pulling that up Jerry noticed that Mike was semi hard, he looked
up and said, well that still works, then he finished getting his dressed.
they started to walk out of the room when Mike started to falter, Jerry
said here let me help, he picked Mike up and carried out to the waiting
room. he said, Mrs. O'Leary I think we can leave now.

Mrs. O'Leary looked ay Jerry and with Mike's head resting on his
shoulder, she mouthed to Jerry, thank you.
 Jerry smiled and just winked at her.

Mike was carried out to the car and Jerry put him in the back of the van,
Mike laid down and Jerry got in and closed the door, he lifted Mike up
just enough to where he Could put his head in Jerry's lap, jerry lightly
rubbed his back and before they could even get out of the parking lot,
Mike was sleeping again.

Jerry whispered to Mrs.O' Leary is he like this all the time when he goes
to the doctor?

Mrs. O'Leary said  only when he has to have a treatment, it just wears
him out for a couple days.

Jerry said well I will stay with his for a while but then I need to go
home, I have chores I need to do and I have to go to school and pick up
whatever work I missed.

Mrs. O'Leary, said, Jerry you have been a God send, Mike although he is
worn out looks to be pretty happy, that is usually not the case, he is
usually down and has a look of defeat in his eyes, That is not there
today, thanks to you.

They arrived home and when Mrs O'Leary parked the van, Jerry gently woke
Mike and said hey bud it is time to go in the house, can you walk.

Mike said, I will give it a try, I do not want to embarrass you.

Jerry said, Mike you could never embarrass me, That can only happen when
tou don't care for someone, when you love someone you are
willing to do things to help and that is what I plan to do.

Mike said, It looks like you have enough strength  for both of us, how
about I walk with maybe a little help from my best friend.

Jerry helped Mike in to the house and asked where he wanted to go.

Mike said I think I want to go lay down for a while, how about my room.

 Jerry said, no problem, he picked him up and said, this time you get the
royal treatment, He carried Mike into his room and put him down on his
bed, He said, I will help you get undressed, Can I take off your pants
for you?

Mike sailed and said, I have waited almost 7 yeasr to hear you ask to
take my pants off.

Jerry smiled and said, you know what I mean.

Mike smiled and said, well I can dream can'tI?

Jerry helped Mike get undressed and Jerry noticed that Mike was again
semi hard, this time he was staring and finally shook his head and said,
I think I better go. I have a bunch of stuff to do.

Mike said, ok and asked him to lean down and when he did Mike kissed him
on the cheek, then looked him in the eyes, and said thanks you
have made this day a lot easier to take because you were there for me.

Jerry smiled and said, my pleasure, but I have to go now, I will see you
later ok?

Mike said you are welcome here anytime, you know that.

Jerry said bye and walked out of the bedroom, he walked into the kitchen
and said  bye to Mrs. O'Leary.

Mrs. O'Leary turned and asked if he would like to come back for dinner.

Jerry smiled and said, I will asked my folks and see, then let you know
he turned and headed for the door. He went out and got in his car,
 and started it up and sat there and after several minutes, he just broke
down and started to cry, he knew that maybe not right away
but he knew that he was going to lose his best friend and he was not
prepared for something like that. He always thought that they would
always be together, this was something that has caused him a great deal
of pain, it was taring him up inside, but he also knew that he
needed to be strong and not show any weakness in front of MIke. He put
the car in reverse and backed out of the driveway, and headed for school.

Mrs. O'Leary went into Mike's room and he was laying there and looked
deep in thought. she asked what's up?

Mike smiled and said, you know Jerry really loves me, but I think he is
beginning to ware down, I think that this is getting to him, do you
think I should say something to him about it.

Mrs. O'Leary said, Michael you do whatever your heart tells you.

Mike smiled and said thanks mom your the greatest.

Jerry arrived at school and went in to pick up his assignments, as he was
walking down the hall, some kid came up to him and said are you
the boyfriend of that faggot Mike O'Leary, Jerry felt his blood start to
boil and without any warning he punched this kid right in the face and
knocked him down. Then he sat on his chest and said, my friend Mike has
cancer, and he is more of a total human being than you will ever be, if
you ever say anything about him again you will really be sorry. Jerry was
starting to stand when he felt a punch to his left eye area. It took
him by surprise and he flew up against the lockers, he looked up and saw
someone that he had never seen before, he was told that the next time he
touched his brother, it would be the last time.

Jerry was still sitting on the floor up against the lockers when three of
his friend showed up and grabbed this person. Jerry stood, and said,
I will not do or say anything to you about what just happened, I will
tell you this, my friend has cancer and if you brother or you ever say
anything about him again, we will play this out to the end. The kid
looked at his brother and said wait till we get home, then he turned and
apologized to Jerry, he said, this will not happen again, I am sorry
about your friend. He thanked his friends and said that he needed to go,
they all said good-bye and Jerry was off to pick up his homework.

Mike was laying in his bed and was suddenly awakened by a pain in his
left eye, he did not know what was going on so he called his mom.

She came in and he asked if there was anything about his left eye that
looked odd, she said no.

The door bell rang and Mrs. O'Leary went to answer it, there stood Jerry
and she looked and noticed a dark reddening of his left eye, she said
come and and then asked what happened.

Jerry told her what had happened, that it was ok for him to eat here if
it was still ok with her.

She said, Jerry you are welcome to eat here and come by anytime you
want,consider this your second home.

Jerry hugged her and said, thanks. He said that he had to go and talk to
Mike and explain before dinner what happened, he headed for mike's room
and went in and started to tell him what happened, and not to worry about
it.

Mike sid this is all my fault.

Jerry said let's forget it happened it is all taked care of already,
let's go out and eat that wonderful dinner your mom has spent most of the
day working on.

They all sat down and ate, when they were finished, Jerry offered to help
clean up, but Mrs. O'Leary said you two go and have fun I will clean up.

Jerry said, if you don't mind I would like to stay here again tonight, if
you don't mind sharing your bed with me.

Mike said I would love to have you stay again, and you can stay anytime
at all.

They sat in Mike's room and Jerry did his home work and Mike watched TV.

Jerry finished his homework about 9:00 and when he looked over at Mike he
saw that he was sleeping, Jerry just stood there looking at Mike and the
thought of how cute he looked while sleeping crossed his mind, then he
shook his head, he was thinking about why he would be thinking that, he
just shrugged it off and got undress and got in bed.

Jerry woke up about 3:00 in the morning and he had such a nice feeling
about himself, as he woke up a litle more, he noticed that Mike had his
head on his chest and that his hand was laying in his crotch, his dick
was hard as it had ever been, he just laid there and savored the feeling
of Mike's hand on his hard cock, he never had felt anything like it
before. He closed his eyes and he drifted off to sleep again.
