Date: Sun, 28 Oct 2001 22:05:29 EST From: Blake169@aol.com Subject: Johnny Boy: The Waiter and Clerk chapter 6 LOL, First I want to clear something up. Johnny did not give Blake a hackle at the end of the last chapter. My compy corrected the word hickie into it. See what happens when I let Krystan spend time with her boy-friend? I just wanted to get that cleared up first. Now for the regular blah blah blah. If you are under the age of 18, (21 in some places.) then get the hell of this site before your mama busts you or sumthin! If you are in search of some hardcore straight stuff, oh boy have you come to the wrong place. If you are a very up tight old prude, then you should get up and walk away now, go starch a skirt or something, this stuff is so gay honey. If you are a Rabi, a Priest, or a Minister, your wanted at the bar down the street, something about a boat? Whatever. Just to state the obscenely obvious now, and redundant, if you should not be here, go away. I do not take responsibility if you read on and take offense, or violate your local laws. It's all your fault. Now, you guy's totally dissed me on my input. I got used to the tidal waves from when the story almost ended. I miss it. Send more. I liked the ideas, and the plain old showing that you read. Please, write me to let me know what you think. The story may start taking longer in between installments. I've had a lot happening in my life of late, and have been taking time to take care of that. It's not you, it's me, so please stand by me. Now for those words you've been waiting for, On with the story. Chapter 6: My Love: In your eye's, the angels sleep. In your arms, I am at peace. In your heart, the Gods strength is kept. In your smile, my resolve does melt. In your soul, the world is good. In your warmth, nothing exists but you. I looked over what I had written with a smile, I couldn't wait to give Johnny the note I had written him. I had called my parents and told them I was staying over at a friends dorm for the night, and would leave for school from there. I looked over at him asleep in peacefully in the bed. I took the note, folded it, and slipped it into an envelope. I climbed back into bed and slipped my arm around him and stared at his face. I had managed to get him to shave off the goatee the night before, and got to look at his purely youthful face. He always had a smile on his face, even when he slept. I looked at his slim jaw line, his long neck, his jet black hair, and his eye's. they were closed, but they hid the most beautiful deep brown color. I leaned in and inhaled his scent. He still had the remnants of his Stetson, but also that distinct smell of him. I laid there a moment more before he began to stir. He opened his eye's, and I knew I had a goofy grin on my face. I leaned in and kissed him deep and full. Our tongues danced about, then I leaned out to his dismay. "You know I was having fun there." "I know you were," I motioned to his... lower parts. "it's how much fun that's the problem." "You weren't complaining last night." He smiled. "Yeah, but I was sort of in the throws of passion too. Oh, then we heard you coming, and me and Tommy had to get dressed real fast." Of course that earned me a pillow to the face, but hey, wadda you do when presented with a silver platter? "Shut up you, or your not allowed to stay over anymore." "Stop, or you don't get this." I waved the envelope in front of his eye's. He made a motion to get it, and I hopped out of bed. He got up on his hands and knee in a pouncing position, I just eyed him ready for any movement. "Give me the letter." He had a huge grin plastered on his face. It probably reflected mine very well. He then made his move. He was off the bed and had his arms around my waist before I could register his movement. I started to move away, but that just caused me to fall with him hooked onto me. We laid there wrestling for a minute, me holding the note just out of his reach. Of course that's the moment that Thomas would walk in. He took one look at us and started laughing. "You two still aren't done?" "Very funny wise guy, just grab the note." I looked at Johnny, then at Tommy. "You wouldn't." It was more a statement than a question. "Bet me? I love secrets." Johnny held me in place as Tommy reached down and grabbed the note from my clenched fingers. He sat on the bed, leaving me to blush greatly and squirm in Johnny's arms. He wouldn't open the not, would he? "Rip!" that ended the debate in my head. I looked on in horror as he read the poem I wrote for Johnny. He smiled then looked at Johnny. "You've got yourself a good one dude." He let me go, then stood and read the poem. He smiled and started to cry. He then came over and kissed me on the floor. I really don't know how far we would have gotten if Tommy hadn't cleared his throat to get our attention. We all chatted for a few minutes, then I borrowed some of Johnny's clothes, we were almost the exact same size, and left for school soon after that. School was major subdued that day. On the way I swung into the Walgreen's a few blocks from there, and lucked my way into some red, white and blue ribbon, as well as the last box of safety pins. I fashioned a quick memorial ribbon, and headed for campus. I went straight in to the attendance office to get my pass for the day before, then went to Ms. Tyler's room. She was gone, but that teacher from the room next door was there with another man. I went in and waited quietly for them to finish their conversation, then asked him where Ms. Tyler was. "Uh, her brother worked in the one of the towers. Her family hasn't been able to get a hold of him, or his wife. She's taking some time off, and heading to New York as soon as she can." I was shocked. I never realized her brother worked there. But after taking a moment, I remember her telling me that once. "Uh... thanks." I left in a light daze. I walked to my first period class, A.P. English and grabbed some paper from the back of the room, and took out my pen and started writing. I wanted to get an Editorial done for the school paper. Class started, but the teacher decided to let us have the day off work. I sat there writing the whole period. At second period, the Principal came on the speakers and led us through the Pledge Of Allegiance, something I hadn't had to do since the 7'th grade. The day just stretched into a blur, every teacher starting class with a conversation about what happened, but I just kept writing and rewriting. When it was time for Journalism, I was done. I handed it to the teacher, and waited. After a minute, he stood up and asked the Class's attention. "Class, can I have your attention?" after a few moments, the conversation and sound of typing in the room silenced, and everyone was paying attention to the teacher. "Blake has written a Editorial that I think we should slide into the paper before it goes to the printing office tomorrow. But you have the final say since it's your paper. Blake, would you mind if I read it to them?" "Go ahead." I sat down and just tried not to be too embarrassed. "Teachers, fellow student, and fellow Americans. On September the Eleventh, we as a nation were maliciously attacked in quite possibly the worst attack ever suffered in the history of this great nation. I will always remember that day. I was awaken fro my sleep by a loved ones call, and told to turn on the T.V. The first image I saw was the second plane flying into the Twin Towers of what once was the World Trade Center. As I watched the recorded images, all I could feel was a sense of detachment. The pure enormity of the event did not register in my mind. Within moments they showed the towers collapse. I knew there were people trapped inside, but still could not register what was happening. I watched the news reports, opting to stay home from school, and was soon called by a friend asking if I wanted to go donate blood with him and some others, I agreed. I felt bad that it would take such a huge disaster to make me want to go donate blood, and silently promised myself that I would go every few months from now on. On the way to the way to the Red Cross, we drove by the airport. I looked out of the passenger side window and started crying. I looked at my friends, who were wondering why I was crying, and I just said "They knew. The people on the planes knew they were going to die. The people in the buildings knew they were going to die. They knew." I then looked back out at the airport, I had never seen so many planes. Thirty minutes later we were at the Red Cross, but turned away because of a flood of donors. We each made appointments to donate, and headed home. My experiences that day may be nothing like yours, or very similar. But I think I can safely say that we all felt the loss, and hurt, and amazement. I want to take this opportunity to ask everyone to do what they can to ensure the continuation of the American Spirit through this time of tragedy. Stop hating if you do. Stop discriminating if you do. Stop making judgments if you do. We as a nation must strive to ensure that the values that were set forth in the past Two Hundred and Fifty years are kept intact through these trying times. Hate was the catalyst in this disaster, strive to remove it from any future equations." There was a silence in the room for about a minute. I couldn't help but think, hey, I'm not that bad. "Chelsea, the Vending Machine story on the front is getting bumped to next issue, Sarah, get that on your page." Laura, the Editor, grabbed the paper and put it in front of me. "Get that thing typed and saved. Let's move, I don't want to be here all day." School finally ended and I went straight to the Hospital. Tom was scheduled to leave that day, a messed up shoulder gained, and I wanted to help him settle into home. I walked into his room and found him trying to grab his second bag and sling it onto his good shoulder. I leaned up against the doorway and let an evil grin spread across my face. After his third failed attempt, he finally looked over at me. "Are you gonna help me, or just stand there?" he set the bag down and tried to look at me in the whole parental, boss, grown up way. There being only a 5 year difference between us, he was failing miserably. "Well, I was waiting for the strap to get caught around your neck and do the whole world a favor." He motioned to come at me, but that's when the nurse came in with the final forms for him to fill out. After a few minutes, dirty looks, and a laugh, he and I carried all the bags out to his waiting car. He took out his keys, which I promptly took from him while motioning for him to go sit in the passenger side. The ride was silent for the first few miles, then he finally opened up a discussion. "Have you two fucked yet?" I actually swerved the car, eliciting a few honks and profane words from the other motorists. I pulled to the side of the road and stopped the car. I looked forward at the road, just stunned. *Did he actually ask me that?* was all that I could think. "Well?" He egged on. "Not that it's any of your bee's wax, but yes. And for two people that have never done it before, I think we are doing it just fine." I put on a smug face before I realized just how dumb that sounded. "Yes, I'm sure. You are using condoms though, right?" he sat there, I know he was fighting back the laugh's, but he looked genuinely concerned. "Yes mother, and I'm on the pill. Can we please change the subject? How about this, wanna go see a movie?" I started the car moving, while Tom's gears started working on weather or not to say yes to the movie, or pursue his line of questioning. He made his choice. "Musketeer?" he leaned forward, and reached for his sun glasses with his right arm, careful not to move his left. I so wanted to swerve the car to get back at him for his not-so-subtle way to bring up my sex life, but decided not to. "Yeah, maybe I'll actually watch it this time." I realized what I'd said as soon as I'd said it. And to stop him from asking questions again, I pulled the neck of my shirt down an inch or so, and showed him the mark Johnny left on me. This caused him to start laughing and a hooting, which caused me to flick his ear. I had so much fun that day. I got to see The Musketeer, which was totally cheesy. I got to spend time with the person I now consider my best friend. And after I dropped him off, I went to surprise Johnny with Dinner, borrowing Tom's car. That's when things went way, way, way wrong. I'd decided to get a gift for Johnny. I wanted to get something that would explain a lot. Something with a broader meaning then I was thinking of you. I had spotted a small crystal figurine in a shop at the mall, a phoenix, and thought it would be perfect. I went there and got it, and a small piece of parchment that the also had in stock. You've gotta love shops that carry weird old world stuff. I went to the food court, grabbed a shake and pretzel, and started drafting a poem on the parchment. I headed straight to his Dorm, wanting to surprise him. I walked up those steps, grinning goofily. I headed to his room. I opened the door, I didn't knock. And there he was. In bed. A girl on top of him kissing him. Rubbing his chest. I dropped the statue, which broke in half. I looked down at it, one wing and it's neck lying by my foot, the rest next to the door frame. I looked back at them. She just looked up at me. "Could you shut the door?" I turned and ran. I managed to get inside the car before I saw Johnny running out of the dorm, three or four dozen yards from me. I started the car, and quickly headed for the street. I never saw the truck. I just felt the way the car was going straight, then it was going sideways. I felt the seatbelt grab onto me as the car started to roll. Then I felt something hit my head. When the car stopped I looked around the car, and saw Johnny on the ground looking at me. "How... she... why did you... Johnny." I started to cry as everything around me darkened. The last thing I remember is Johnny screaming my name as I blacked out. It was a welcoming darkness. When I woke up, I was greeted by someplace I'd never seen before. I started to panic before I saw Tom sitting by the bed. Something was different. His sling was gone. And his hair was long. This confused me, and made the ache in my head worse. "Dom..." My mouth was dry, and my throat hurt a lot. "Blake? Blake! Nurse! Nurse! He's awake!" he seemed very enthused by my being awake. "Johnny! He's awake!" Johnny? The truck. I remembered everything now. He was with the woman. Then he was at the doorway, smiling like nothing happened. "Get... the... fuck... away from me!" I was yelling, but my lungs and voice hurt. His face immediately fell. He started to cry. "Blake, please..." "NO!!!" That was loud and clear. "Get away from me!" I tried to sit up, but I felt very weak. The nurse showed back up, then Johnny walked backwards until he hit the wall, then ran out of the room crying. More then anything I wanted to go after him, then I remembered what he had done and wanted him to hurt. "Blake... why did you do that? He's been by your side everyday for almost a month." Tom was holding my hand, trying to get me to calm down. The room was beginning to spin. "What are you talking about, we only dated for a couple weeks." I looked back at Tom and was about to ask about the sling, but he interrupted me. "Blake, you've been in a coma for a month. It's October the 23'rd." That was unexpected. I hope you all like it, I'm seriously turning this into a soap opera, aren't I? Well, I got very little e-mails about the last chapter, I hope you all write me. I still want to hear, even if it's just you saying I like it. TT4N!
