September 3rd thru 10th is National Suicide Prevention Week. As a person who thought that ending my life was the only way to end the torture of it, I am here to let you know: It Gets Better! If you are here reading this message, life is already that much better for you. You know there is a world much larger than the one you live in, a world that accepts you for who you are. You are beautiful, you are talented, and you deserve to live just as much as the bully on your school bus, on the playground, in the gym, or even in your own home does. If you are one of the lucky LGBTQ kids who have a support group, reach out to another who does not.
Email me at JohnMichael.Nifty@gmail.com if times are tough, or if you simply need a friend with which to talk.
If you or someone you know is asking, "Why do I feel different," or "Who really understands what I'm going through," or "Where can I go to talk to someone about my feelings," or if YOU OR THAT PERSON IS COMTEMPLATING SUICIDE, you or not alone! For answers to these questions and suicide prevention, go to http://www.thetrevorproject.org/ or call toll-free 1-866-4-U-Trevor. The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, and questioning youth.
Remember, you have to live to realize It Gets Better!
Thank you for your loyalty,
