Subject: "Learning About Another - Ch. 10"

Ok, where are all the e-mails?  I usually got at least one e-mail a day
about my writing.  So are you guys mad at me or something?  Well, because I
don't know if people are still reading this, I am going to keep this
chapter short.  Sorry that it has taken me so long to get this in, I have
been very busy and I just haven't been inspired to write.

Chapter 10

	"I just got here and I just found out, so here is what I was told,"
Ash says sighing.  "He is in a coma.  Doctors don't know how long he will
be in it, but they are hoping for the best.  There are no guarantees
because anything could happen.  They stopped the internal bleeding and he
has a few broken bones.  Doctors say he was lucky and that it could have
been a whole hell of a lot worse."
	I just stand there, shocked at what I am hearing.  I almost begin
to cry, but I hold back because I need to be strong for Ash.  I can see
that Scott has been moved and that he is feeling the same way I am.  "Whoa,
that really sucks," I say.
	"Yeah, it does, I hope that he will be ok," Scott puts in.
	"Me too," mutters Ash.
	A week passes and there is no improvement in Chase.  It has been a
hard week for all of us, especially for Ash.  The doctors are losing hope,
and Chase's parents are preparing for the worst.  The only one who really
still has hope is Ash.
	That same day, exactly a week after the accident, Ash steps into
Chase's room.  His parents and Chase's parents are there.  "Could you guys
leave us alone, I want to give Chase a pep talk?" Ash asks.  They all nod
their heads, leave the room, and Ash shuts the door behind them.  "Chase, I
know that you can hear me.  You can't give up, you are needed here," he
says as he starts to cry.  "There are many people here that care about you,
and others at school.  You would be missed, and I ....I would miss you
greatly.  This whole incident has shown me that I do love you, and I don't
know what I would do if you were not here.  Please don't die.  I love you
too much and I couldn't bear for you to go out like this.  I want you to
live a long and prosperous life.  Just come back to us please."  He barely
gets out his last sentence before the tears overtake him and he can't say
any more.
	The next night, Ash gets a phone call and then rushes over to the
hospital.  He is overjoyed to see Chase awake.  He begins to cry tears of
joy, along with everyone else that is there.  Chase smiles a weak smile at
Ash and he smiles back.  Chase tells them that he wants to get out of there
as soon as possible for it is going to drive him nuts being confined to a
bed.  They all laugh at this and the process of healing begins.

be.  If you want me to keep writing, I will try to get them in sooner so
that you don't have to wait so long.  Hope that you liked it.  Also, please
