We'll take them." Jordon and Geoff yelled at the same time with Damien just a few seconds behind them. After further conversation on the phone the detective informed them that the boys would be here within the hour. With all their statements taken and everything completed the two detectives with their prisoner in tow departed leaving Damien, Jordon and Geoff along with the two new boys sitting staring at each until Damien spoke, "Were the fuck are we going put them?" Everyone was silent not having an immediate answer to this question but deep down all of them knew they wouldn't turn them away either. Jordon's mom Jennifer spoke up looking a little bit nervous regarding what she was about to say, "I know what I'm about to say will upset you boys but as a woman I do have needs just as you guys do. I'm still fairly young and don't want to finish up an old maid. As you are all aware Clive the head of our security and myself have been seeing a lot of each other recently and he has asked me to move into a relationship with him and live with him. We both have strong feelings for each other and would like to give our relationship a try. I know that I don't need to ask my son's permission to do this but I would like his and Geoff's blessing before I take this step." Without saying a word Jordon went over to give his mom a hug and a kiss which more than answered her question. Smiling she continued, "This means that my room here in the farmhouse will be available for the younger guys coming in to sleep. After all I believe there are two six year olds who need to be in the house not out in the barn." After those words Damien also hugged Jennifer and saying, "I hope you and Clive hit it off together and you are both happy." Smiling more than she has done for a long time Jennifer remarked that she was sure they would be very happy. Jordon spoke up for the first time, "Mom it will take me a while to get used to you being with another man but Clive appears to be great guy and if it makes you happy, it makes me happy." This conversation was interrupted by the arrival of the other six poor little boys from the home and as they were brought into the room one could see how traumatized they all were. They did look a little happier when they saw the other two boys who arrived earlier having been brought into the room by Bentley along with trays loaded with milk and cookies. Jordon and Geoff handed out the drinks and food to each of them assuring them all that they were safe now and nothing nasty would happen to them ever again. While this helped to ease their fears they still were none too sure about what was happening. Jennifer left to begin preparing her bedroom for the boys after telling Clive the good news. Jordon, Geoff and Damien began explaining to the boys what this place was like and how they were safe and nothing bad would happen while they were under their roof. There were two six year old boys who looked thin and pale and definitely undernourished along with a nine, ten, two eleven year olds and two sixteen year old teenagers. Damien explained that they were right now a little bit short on space but not to worry they all would have a comfortable bed and plenty to eat, but they may have to double up until all the accommodations could be sorted out. The younger two began to cry and before long the others joined in. All three of them, Jordon, Geoff and Damien tried to pacify them but it took a long time for them to settle back down again. Jordon asked why the tears and one of the guys said, "We have never ever been treated so nice in our lives before. First we were all abused by our parents and then at that other place." He stopped talking because tears were forming once more as he recalled the place that they were rescued from. "That's all in the past now. This is a happy place which is now your home. So no more tears." Jordon told them. One of the older boys whose name was Jacob asked to speak to Jordon in private. They walked outside with Geoff following as well, "The two younger boys Charles and Frank should really see a doctor because for the past two days they have been bleeding from the back passage." Jordon looking very distressed said, "Don't tell me they were abused as well?" Rather than answer and begin to cry Jacob just nodded. Jordon just about exploded with rage, "How dare those fucking perverts abuse two innocent six year olds, they need to be strung up by their balls until their eyeballs drop out." He was angry finding it hard to speak. Damien came outside to find out what all the noise was about and when Jordon managed to calm down enough to tell him he too flew into a rage. He called Jennifer telling her what was going on and asked if she and Clive would like to take the boys to the hospital for a check-up and make sure photos were taken of every little injury so as he put it, "We can nail the fucking perverted bastards." Jennifer agreed and Jordon went back inside to explain to the two young guys what was going to happen and not to worry, the important thing was to make sure they were ok. In a frail weak voice Charles said, "Does that mean we will be taken away from here?" "No, you will go to the hospital with my mom and the doctors there are great believe me. After they have checked you out they may decide to keep you on hospital for a couple of days but if they do one of us will come and visit all the time. Does that sound ok to you two?" Both boys nodded just as Jennifer came in to take them for their check-up. Damien had called his detective friend to tell him the latest and both of them agreed that it was going to take a lot of self-control not go into the cells and administer their own justice, "How could anyone abuse a poor defenceless child like that." Damien said with his police friend agreeing. Jennifer called about an hour later to say that both boys would be going into the operating room later tonight to have some torn tissue in their anal cavity repaired, "The police already have pictures of the damage and are filing additional charges against those responsible." Damien told her that Jordon and Geoff would be there in the morning when the two little guys woke up, "They must be very frightened right now and will be in pain tomorrow so it's best if the boys are there to calm them down and assure them they are going to be all right from now on." Gradually sleeping arrangements were made for the rest of the boys, while Bentley drew up a roster so that meals could be eaten in two sittings. What with the imminent arrival of the bakery equipment and having so many mouths to feed he was rushed off his feet and two of the newer older boys were asked if they would like to work in the kitchen and not the farm for the time being. They agreed and were soon busy helping Bentley and Martha prepare supper. A new roster was also devised for washing up duties which had to be carried out straight after the first meal sitting because until more could be purchased they were also running short on cutlery and crockery. All the staff agreed that an emergency meeting needed to be held the following morning so that some order could be got out of the chaos that existed today. George was asked if he could take a group of guys to pull some more potatoes, carrots and any other vegetables which were ready and also bring in a load of apples and any other fruit he could. The twins Jimmy and Timmy were also asked to bring to the kitchen tomorrow morning six dozen eggs. They were also asked if any of the hens being grown for meat were ready because they could do with at least ten chickens for cooking. They headed of proudly to their laptop to see if this was possible. The eggs were no problem, it just meant they would not have quite as many to send into the supermarket in town who now only stocked their eggs. The responsibility they had been given had made them into one of the top egg and poultry producers in the region. Now that the bakery had been paid for they were awaiting delivery of a brand new incubator which alongside their three second hand ones it would mean they could incubate over a thousand fertile eggs at any time. They had extra boys coming in everyday to help them and enjoyed telling the older boys what to do. The thing was the other guys took orders from them without any worries. George would keep an eye on them but he had to admit that this was modern farming at its best and what the twins were doing was sometimes way out of his scope. The highlight came few months later when a top Canadian farming magazine did a feature article on the twins and the methods they were using in conjunction with computer technology which Nathan had developed for them. The only problem was that the magazine wasn't allowed to take any pictures of the boys themselves so that they could not be recognized. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Meanwhile in Texas Miles was having a big success with the school football team from never winning a game to having a winning streak of six games in a row. Jeremy was very proud of his dad and so was partner Keith. The kids had taken to Miles like ducks to water and they didn't care if he was gay, plus the kids were able to convince their parents as well. Miles too was loving the job and the interaction with the kids. Mind you to play it safe he never went into the shower room when any of the boys were in there just in case accusations were made by the bigots in the school, of which there were still a few. Jeremy was proving to be an outstanding student and was the captain of the school debating team which once again was on a winning streak and looked like emerging as the top team this year. Keith had some vacation time due to him and planned to take it during the school holidays and while they hadn't told Jeremy yet they planned to take a trip to Canada to visit Jordon and Geoff. Jeremy spent almost as much time on Skype chatting with Jordon and Geoff as Keith and Miles did and strong bond of friendship was developing. Martha too also took part in a lot of these conversations which helped her recover from her loneliness. She was missing her Fred terribly and although she visited him every time she was allowed she did miss him, especially at night when she was alone in her bed. Martha told the Miles and Keith that she missed Fred holding her in his arms and how he pampered her and looked after her. In return they kept assuring Martha that he would be home before she knew it but for Martha time was dragging. They tried to talk him into making the trip to Canada with them but he said, "No it would only confuse the boys there to see a tired old queen like me dressed in women's clothing. Those poor kids have been through so much and they might have trouble dealing with this old tart." While they didn't say so openly both Keith and Miles agreed in theory with Martha. While talking to Jordon and Geoff it was suggested by Miles with Keith agreeing with him that it would be nice if the boys could take a vacation in Texas as well as them travelling to Canada. Jordon explained, "While that would be great and don't get me wrong we would love to visit you but we have so much work to do here. With all these boys wanting to join us and our policy to not to turn anyone away it is utilizing all our resources right now. So sorry but we can't right now." Both of the Texans marvelled at their dedication remarking on how much Jordon had changed. He has come from being the frightened little schoolboy who ran away from home and even tried to commit suicide to a strong willed young man who is dedicating his life to saving others who are in similar positions to what he was. Not sure if he should broach the subject or not but Miles asked Jordon, "Any regrets on killing your father or that terrible night?" Jordon paused for some time not answering him right away and Miles thought he might have overstepped the mark but eventually Jordon said, "Yes and No. Yes because I took someone else's life and No because if I hadn't he would have taken mine. I still dream about that night sometimes but the dreams or should I say nightmares are getting further and further apart and I always avoid walking over the spot where my father laid when I shot him." He paused reliving the moment and Miles felt sorry for asking and stirring up old memories until Jordon continued, "But that is all behind me now and with Geoff here to look after me and help through my nightmares I'm ok now and as I said it's all behind me." Just then Jeremy came into the room so the conversation was changed quickly and not long after they all said their goodbyes and signed off. Jeremy said, "You were talking about Jordon killing his father weren't you?" Astonished Keith said, "How did you know about that?" "Jordon told me one day when we were chatting. It was just the three of us, Jordon, Geoff and I and while it shocked me at first I soon realized why he had to do it. They are two great guys and friends and I wish we could go visit them some time." Both of his dad's looked at each other knowingly but still decided to keep the planned vacation a surprise. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The next morning all the executives including George, Martha, Bentley and young Chris and Ben from Bennett's farm gathered in the front office along with Jennifer's new partner Clive who was head of security. Damien chaired the meeting with Nathan the computer expert taking notes, "We are currently forging ahead with so many different projects and not turning anyone away that we need to sort a few things out and make sure we're doing all the right things." He said by way of an opening speech. Continuing he asked, "Firstly Chris and Ben, how are things going at Bennett's farm?" "Great we have settled in well with Ben and I in one room and the other two guys in the other and security takes the third bedroom. We do have another room which in the past was used as a storeroom, this could be cleared out and used as another bedroom but it's only big enough for one person. The other point I would like to mention is that we waste a lot of time coming down to the home farm for meals. I suggest that we have some supplies placed in our kitchen, especially so we can have breakfast there and if we're working at our farm we don't have to travel down for lunch. We can still have supper here." All agreed that was a great idea and Bentley was asked to organise the supplies needed, "While we're talking about Bentley what's happening with the Bakery?" Damien asked. "It is now fully operational, we did have a few disasters at first but I think we have everything right now. The other good news is that the local supermarket is stocking our products and they are selling out as soon as they hit the shelves. So we are already starting to show a profit and according to Nathan if that trend continues we will have the equipment paid off in half the time." He paused as everyone congratulated him for his efforts and those of the team he had working for him, "Thanks for that, the other problem we have is cooking for such a large number these days. The kitchen is proving to be too small for the task and we are struggling to say the least. Plus it isn't really working having two meal sittings because this means we are working late into the evening and by the time we've finished all the kitchen staff are exhausted. We are open to any suggestions?" Everyone was quiet for several moments until Geoff spoke up, "How much would it cost to buy an all-weather permanent tenting canopy and set it up directly in front of the kitchen door. We would need trestle type tables and chairs and of course have to put lighting inside, plus of we could afford it wooden flooring or better still put down a concrete floor." "That idea does have some merit just as long as we don't get a storm like we did earlier this year but the chances of one as severe as that are pretty rare. Would that solve your problem Bentley?" "It certainly would Damien and if we can find the funding it would be ideal. "Was the reply. "If we decide to go ahead the concrete could be poured as early as next week because the builders are coming in to lay down the foundations for the new accommodation block and they could do that at the same time." Damien told them, "Plus we do have a sponsor who deals in tenting equipment so maybe we can get one at the right price. The next thing we need are tables and chairs any ideas?" It was Jennifer's turn to put her idea forward, "When we had the thank you gathering recently the tables and chairs came from the local church who never use them, in fact they take up valuable space in the church hall so why don't we ask if we can have them on permanent loan?" Everyone agreed it wouldn't hurt to ask and because it was her suggestion Jennifer was asked to approach the church council, "The next thing we urgently need is more crockery, cutlery and glassware." Bentley told them with Jordon adding, "Plus more bedding, and clothing for those who join us without any, plus things like toothpaste and soap." Nathan then piped up, "And don't forget condoms and lube." This really cracked up the meeting with everyone bursting out laughing. Finally when everyone had quietened down George told everyone, "The wheat this year looks like its going to be a bumper crop. While we lost a harvest due to the storm the much needed moisture in the soil produced a great crop and the yield per acre will be exceptional. Additionally the world wheat prices are very good right now and it looks like they will remain good so our profit margin should be very good. I would like to suggest that some of that profit be put aside and if more land becomes available locally that we try and buy it. As we expand boy wise we will need extra land to keep them occupied in work." The next subject was a touchy one, what to do about the anti-gay school teacher. Jennifer reported that while she had tried to have him transferred so far she had not been successful. A long silence followed and in the end Ben looked at Chris who nodded his head slightly indicating that whatever they discussed Ben should talk about it now, "If the rest of you would care to leave this guy up to Chris and I and not question what might happen we will try and endeavour to rid you of this terrible man," Everyone looked at everyone else not sure what Ben meant by that, "I hope nothing violent is going to happen to him?" Jordon said. "No nothing like that, we just intend to play him at his own game and at the same time maybe introduce a little blackmail. It might be best if you guys knew as little as possible of what is going on." While no one really liked the sound of this plan no one said don't do it but then again no one gave it the green light. George had already mentioned to Damien the final item on the agenda and he explained to the others, "One of the local farmers is getting out of dairy farming concentrating on crops more and has offered us his herd of twenty cows at a very reasonable price. He thinks that by selling to us it will be easier than auction and he wouldn't have to worry about auctioneers commission and advertising and so on." "Is anything stopping us buying this stock?" Jordon asked. "If we do we will need more grazing land sooner than later, which brings me back to the subject of buying or leasing more land." It was agreed that the cattle be bought and George to look out for more land as well. Damien asked if anyone had anything else they would care to raise and Jordon with a cheeky grin on his face said yes, "We need to do something about sexing." Everyone looked at him wondering what the hell he was talking about as he and Geoff continued to smile. "All right it's not what you lot are thinking. Right now when the chickens are hatched the twins have no idea how to tell the sex of day old chicks. At the present time because we sometimes have from two to three thousand chicks at a time which need checking. A professional chicken sexer is brought in and he costs a fortune because it is a specialist trade. I propose that we pay for the twins to be trained in sexing the chickens this in the long run will result in saving us money." "Why do they have to be sexed at day old?" asked Clive Jennifer's boyfriend. "The sooner the sex of the chicks is determined the sooner they can be put on the right feed for either laying or for meat and be placed in separate barns." No one had any objections to this so that was another matter decided on. By now it was lunchtime so they decided to go and eat. Over lunch Jordon asked Chris and Ben how they were getting on with their new relationship and also running Bennett's farm, "Our love life is great." Chris said, "Deep down while Ben appears to be a rough mean type he's really a sweet gentle man and I think we are both falling in love." "That's great news, we hope it works out good for you guys, especially now that we hope to have you both permanently on staff here in the future." Jordon told them. "There is one thing which we didn't want to raise during the meeting because we know money is tight, but is there any chance of Ben and I getting a bit of spending money?" "Sure, I'll talk to Damien and we'll work something out to give you guys something." Jordon said. While the turnover of security staff was fairly low from time to time for a variety of reasons someone left and had to be replaced. Clive always vetted them carefully to make sure they wouldn't cause any problems but on this one occasion this one guy slipped through the net. Domingo Gonzalez was his name and he was new to the district. The checks carried out showed he had no criminal history or anything untoward about him so Clive had no qualms about hiring him. Being the new guy he of course started the job on the night time graveyard shift which none of the guys liked. Two guys were always on duty. They took turns where one remained at the gate while the other walked around the property checking on the buildings and the sleeping quarters of the young guys. All went well for the first few nights and it appeared that the new guy would fit in quite well. That was until one evening when the night air was broken by a blood curdling scream coming from one of the rooms in the barn which was occupied by one of the new sixteen year old guys called Trent. He was a quiet young man who kept himself to himself and had obviously been traumatized by the abuse he received before being rescued. The scream brought Jordon, Geoff and Damien along with several others running out into the cold night air wondering where the cries were coming from. At first they weren't sure and a search with torches began. A bed check showed that Trent was missing and Jordon then heard sobbing coming from behind the cowshed. He yelled to the other and they rushed to find young Trent lying on the ground naked with his ripped briefs nearby. Jordon took him in his arms holding him and assuring him all the time that everything was now ok. Once he had calmed down Jordon asked him who was responsible for this and between sobs he could just about make out the word security. Geoff and Damien also heard this and straight away headed for the gate to find just one guy on duty, one who had been with them right from the start and was very reliable. When asked about his shift partner he told them he was supposed to be on his rounds. As the dawn approached the search was widened with the older boys arming themselves with baseball bats and other handy weapons. The police had set up road blocks and not long after a call was received from Chris to say he had been found at Bennett's farm. The police and Clive headed out to the farm to find Domingo lying in the yard among the mud and muck unconscious. His head was covered in blood and when Chris and Ben were questioned they said that he must have fallen and hurt his head on a rock or something. Of course no one believed the story but because of what this creature had done no one questioned the two boys either. An ambulance was called and he was taken under police escort to the hospital where he was found to have a fractured skull. The doctor remarked that he must have fallen very hard on a rock to suffer that kind of injury but no one took too much notice of what he said. Jordon, Geoff and Damien headed for Bennett's farm to question the boys and they both admitted that a couple of baseball bats did the damage, "We couldn't let the bastard off that lightly for what he was doing to that poor kid." Chris told them. On inspection both bats had blood on them so Damien suggested that they be disposed of in case the police investigate further. When they got back to the home farm they found Trent sound asleep in Jordon and Geoff's bed. He was given a sleeping pill by Jennifer so they decided to leave him there until woke up and they could find out exactly what had happened. The two boys remained in the house checking on Trent every fifteen minutes or so. Meanwhile in hospital Domingo came to and was very vocal in demanding that the two who attacked him be charged for assault but his cries fell on deaf ears and later that day the doctor discharged him into the hands of the police. He was initially charged with assault until the police could obtain a statement from Trent on what occurred. It was almost lunchtime before Trent began to stir. Jordon and Geoff were sitting in the bedroom watching over him when he opened his eyes looking around wondering where he was, "Don't worry Trent, your safe now and nothing like that will ever happen to you again." He held him in his arms but Trent pushed him away saying, "You promised me that when I first came here and look what happened, it was just like being back in that horrible place." He began to sob and shake with Jordon hanging onto him assuring him over and over again how sorry he was and it should never have happened. Finally he calmed down and Jordon asked if he felt up to it would he like to tell them what happened. He nodded saying, "I was asleep when suddenly a hand was put over my mouth and this guy dragged me out of my bed taking me outside behind a building. He told me if I make a sound he would kill me. He then ripped off my briefs turning me over and I knew then and there he was going to rape me because I could hear him removing his pants while pressing me into the ground. I moved my head to one side out of the dirt and then started screaming as loud as I could. He started hitting me telling me to be quiet but I yelled even louder and I think he panicked because the next thing I knew he was gone." Jordon then asked him, "Did you know who your attacker was?" "Yes I saw his face and recognised him as one of the security guards the big Mexican looking guy. He was going to rape me." Trent almost yelled that last bit as he once again began to tremble and shake. Jordon held him tightly kissing his forehead and soothing him with gentle quiet words. "I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am that this happened in what should be a safe place for you. We try so hard to keep you all safe after what you have suffered and I promise nothing like that will ever happen again to you. For now we will find a bed for you in the house so that you are more protected. We want you to feel safe and secure and believe me we will endeavour to make sure no one like that is ever employed here again." Geoff went down stairs explaining to Damien what was going on and got a tray of food so that all three of them could have lunch in their bedroom. Damien called the police and they said they had enough on Domingo for now to hold him and they would leave Trent until tomorrow before getting his statement. They did ask Damien if he would like to take some pictures of where Trent was pressed into the ground because there was an impression in the soft ground where he was forced to lie down. The only other worry was the media got hold of the story and where asking questions on just how safe the boys were under their care. Damien issued a statement assuring the public that while the perpetrator had slipped through their strict security net they were looking at even more stringent measures to make sure it didn't happen again. Poor Clive was suffering the most blaming himself for employing the guy in the first place. Jennifer took him into her arms assuring him that he did everything possible to ensure he was all right to be employed and he couldn't do anything different. While it calmed Clive down a little bit he still knew that he would have that poor boys attack on his mind for the rest of his life. It was only Jennifer's kisses and soothing words that eventually calmed him down. For the rest of the day everyone was subdued going about their work or schooling but always with what happened to Trent in the back of their minds. Meanwhile back in Texas, Miles, Keith and Jeremy were busy packing getting ready for their two week vacation to Canada with Jordon, Geoff and the rest of the gang. Jeremy was very excited at the prospect of meeting in person a couple of guys he had become great friends with via the internet. His two fathers didn't tell him the trouble they had getting a passport for him because of the confusion caused due to him having two fathers and no mother. Eventually it was all sorted out as it was only caused by a clerk who hadn't come across this before due to lack of training and he didn't know how to handle it. Jordon and Geoff too were also looking forward to the visit except because of the accommodation shortage they would have to stay with George and Martha on their farm. Still they would travel in every day for breakfast. True to form the concrete for the new building and the dining room had been laid, plus the permanent canopy that was going to be covering the dining room was also in place so that everyone could sit down at the same time to eat. All the extra supplies ordered had also arrived and the first day in the new dining room would coincide with their guests from Texas arrival. To be continued. Writer's corner: Hi folks welcome to another chapter of Living in a lie. It looks like to overcrowding problem is slowly sorting itself out and with a bumper wheat crop and good prices the whole project looks like showing a profit and who would have thought that two eight year old twins should be market leaders in egg production with the help of an eleven year old geek. Chris and Ben appear to be proving to be reliable and responsible young men and an asset to the project. They also helped sort out a predator as well. Poor Trent just when he thought he had got away from all that drama and abuse. Hopefully it will never happen again. With the bakery up and running and a dining room as well, but how will they fare in the winter eating in a tent with snow on the ground? Maybe they will have a more permanent building by then. The only problem they didn't solve during the big meeting was the homophobic school teacher who nobody wants, but who knows what Chris and Ben are up to. It will be good for Miles, Keith and Jeremy to visit. Let's just hope that Jordon doesn't get sexy feelings towards Miles again. Don't forget to let me know what you think of this chapter and indeed all my stories. Hugs Trevor Supertev699@hotmail.com Editor's corner: Another great chapter Trevor. I was glad the boys beat the crap out of the security guard and no one is paying him any attention. Rapists are an evil bunch. Hope he gets a bubba to room with in prison. hehe.. The farm seems to be rolling along really well with the boys really pitching in to make it work. Between great benefactors who are willing to help with cash to all the hard work the boys are putting in this place is turning into a safe haven for all these poor boys. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what Chris and Ben have up their sleeve for the bigoted teacher. I have some ideas but they are just my thoughts and I will let Trevor let us know when he is ready. But I bet it is going to be fun, at least for the boys... Well I want to wish you all a great day. Do not forget to let Trevor know how you like this story. Your Editor Richie
