LIVING IN A LIE

Once the trial and all the razzamatazz that went with it died down, the
community settled into what they hoped would be a more quite life. Except
the Redneck Hockey guys when they went before the judge got a slap on the
wrists for being naughty boys, with the judge explaining that jail time or
a criminal record would ruin their chances of going to college.

That upset a lot of people and because they thought they had got away with
it they began their bullying and threatening tactics again.  One dark
evening in fact it was raining and Geoff was standing outside the school
waiting for Jordon to come out and for his mom to pick them up.

Winter was closing in fast and it was getting dark early.  Later Geoff said
he never heard a thing as he was hit from behind resulting in his falling
to the ground unconscious.  No one else was around so no one knew who was
responsible. When Jordon came out looking for his boyfriend he found him
lying on the ground in a pool of blood.

Racing back into the school Jordon alerted one of the staff who called for
an ambulance and Jordon rushed back outside just as Geoff's mother
arrived. He was rushed to the emergency department with severe head wounds
a concussion plus someone had broken a couple of ribs while he was lying on
the ground.

Jordon began to cry while hanging on to his lover's hand telling him not to
die because they have a life together.  When he was taken into surgery
Jordon wasn't allowed to go with him much to his disgust and he had to
spend several hours in the waiting room with his mom and Geoff's folks.

His mother had been allowed home just a few days earlier, while his sister
and her boyfriend Eddie had also gone back to Port hope near Toronto.
Damien and Bentley had also gone back to Toronto for a while so only the
boy's parents were left.

It was almost five hours later when a doctor came out to tell them that
Geoff had suffered a mighty blow to the head from something like a baseball
bat or similar and had several fractures to his skull, "He will recover but
it will be a long process with a lot of help from you folk."

"Can we see him?" Jordon asked, "Yes, but he is still in a coma and will
likely be for a while, maybe until tomorrow."  They all walked slowly down
the corridor to the intensive care unit where Jordon lay with his head
covered in bandages.  He looked very pale, frail and he appeared so tiny.
Jordon though that even though he was five foot ten and growing.

He burst into tears as he moved to the side of the bed taking hold of
Geoff's hand while kissing him lightly on the lips.  His mom and Jordon's
mom were also crying while his dad was trying hard to hold back the tears.
He stayed by his boyfriends bedside for what seemed hours until a nurse
came in suggesting it was best if he went home to get some rest.

Jordon looked at her with hatred in his eyes saying, "I'm not leaving his
side until he is ready to leave this hospital understood."  The tone in his
voice surprised even his mother who took the nurse to one side suggesting
that he be allowed to stay considering the circumstances.  Finally the
nurse relented but under duress and stormed off muttering under her breath.

All three parents said their goodbyes kissing Geoff and Jordon before
taking their leave promising to be back first thing in the morning. Jordon
laid as close as he could to his lover talking to him all the time telling
him how much he loved him.  He talked and talked to his mate until finally
sleep overtook him and he slept with his head on Geoff's pillow.

It was becoming daylight when he heard a voice very faint calling him,

The doctor came in and explained to them what he had already told Jordon
and explained that Geoff would be moved out of ICU later today and possibly

about the stock and the farm?" he asked.

Geoff's father replied, "Don't worry the neighbours are all pitching in and
helping.  The police have a patrol car out there all day and night while
their investigations continue.  Son you can expect a visit from them later
today if the doctor agrees to see if you can identify who did this."

"Sorry dad but they came up behind me and took me by surprise.  I have no
idea who hit me or how many of them."

His father told him not to worry about it just to concentrate on getting
better.  Then came the big argument about Jordon going to school and he

hugging his mom they took their leave.  His mother to go home and rest
because she was getting over her accident while Geoff's parents headed back

Later that day two detectives arrived to interview Geoff but sadly he
wasn't much help to them. The rest of the day the boys had to

mother's car so they could go the hospital and pick him up. He was dressed,
sitting on the edge of the bed, eagerly awaiting to leave, although he
still had a bandage on his head and his ribs were tightly bandaged as well.
When no nurses were looking they kissed before going out to the car and
home.

All the way home Jordon told his boyfriend about his mother's welcome back
but admitted nothing like that was waiting for him at the farm. Geoff's

them. Plus Damien and Bentley were arriving tomorrow for a short visit with

an early flight and once again renting a car.  They had asked Jennifer and
Geoff's parents as well to come round for lunch because they had a major

at the farm.

about Geoff's bashing it was lunch and then down to business. "Your father
Jordon has launched a high court appeal against the setting up of the
refuge and we need to discuss how we are going to handle this."

Instead of looking sad and upset Jennifer began laughing and they all
looked at her in amazement. No need to worry my dear, my ex-husband has
forgotten one important thing.  First when Veronica was born we added her
name to the board of directors of the company giving her equal shares. Then
when Jordon came along we did the same for him.  So in actual fact he only
owns one quarter of the farm and will be outvoted.  So he hasn't got a leg
to stand on. Although I do suggest that we try and raise funds to buy his
share out eventually."

Looking relieved Damien said, "That shouldn't be a problem because several
major companies have indicated that they would like to be involved and are
interested in giving us some funding by way of sponsorship."

That made every one very happy, then Jennifer piped up again, "I have some
other news as well, mainly for the boys this time. Miles and Keith have
been trying to reach you on the internet and were very concerned when they
phoned me last night and heard about poor Geoff.  Anyway the good news is
they are coming on a short holiday in about three day's time and offered to
do whatever work was needed to be done."

Jordon was very happy that he was finally going to meet his first love
Miles face to face but Geoff was worried that this might rekindle old
thoughts. Once the meeting was over everyone headed out to do some jobs,
while Geoff's folks headed home to do the same.  Jennifer stayed intending
to spend the night.

It was quite dark when they finally came in from the fields to note that
the police patrol was no longer there.  In fact that was something Jennifer
forgot to mention at the meeting.  The local office in charge was worried
that because of the boys and the family problems his budget had gone right
through the roof and he was concerned that when the refuge finally opened
they would have further problems which would stretch his resources.

Damien remarked that it was something they would have to include in their
own budget and perhaps hire their own security guards. Bentley as usual had
cooked a wonderful meal and while everyone was tired they went to bed happy
and contented.

Lying in bed next to his lover Jordon could sense something was wrong and
he knew what it was. Turning to his boyfriend he said, "I know you're
worried about Miles and me when he comes to visit.  It will be strange
meeting him face to face but you have nothing to worry about lover boy, you
are mine and mine alone and no one will ever come between us."

the fields was a bit sore and tired. And they were happy cuddled in each
other's arms that they drifted off to sleep.

Next morning being a Saturday they had an extra thirty minutes in bed
before getting up and out into the farm yard to collect eggs, feed
livestock and generally clean up the place.  Damien and Bentley appeared
about thirty minutes later, looking very tired.  Meanwhile Jordon's mother
who also stayed overnight didn't rise until breakfast was called.  She was
still feeling tired and not fully recovered from the accident.

When he found out only the cleaning of the stables was left, Bentley went
back inside quickly to prepare breakfast. In the shed next to the chicken
pen Jordon counted and found they had more than two hundred eggs. "Those
hens are laying really well." He remarked. Maybe I should call the local
store or café and see if they are interested in buying them.

After a hearty breakfast Geoff called his parents about the glut of eggs
and his father told him to call the local store and café because they
also had over a hundred eggs to sell as well.  Both places said they would
take the eggs and the price was right as well so everyone piled into
Damien's car and headed over to Geoff's place, picked up the extra eggs and
headed for town.

After they had got rid of the eggs they dropped Jennifer off at her home
before heading back to the farm.  The jobs left to do were all hard dirty
ones. The main job being to clear out the second barn so that in a couple
of weeks' time the builders could come in and start constructing
accommodations for the young guests. "Do we need all this old farm
equipment?" Damien asked.  Geoff suggested they check with his father and
if not maybe they could sell it.

In fact Geoff was feeling much better today.  Apart from a slight headache
and a bit of pain in the ribs he was feeling hot and horny, ready for a
session to remember with Jordon later on. "Just you wait till I get you in
bed tonight Jordon, you'll have trouble sitting down tomorrow."

Jordon just smiled mouthing the words, "I can hardly wait, in fact if we

Damien overheard everything and said, "I think we should all either go take
a cold shower or go for an afternoon siesta or whatever else anyone has in
mind because I feel the same way."

Laughing they downed their tools and headed for the farmhouse.  Jordon and
Geoff headed first for the shower, a hot one of course, with Damien and
Bentley following.  In their bedroom both boys lay naked on the bed and

Jordon also introduced them to Damien and Bentley as well.

They were busy discussing all the things that had happened and also the big
plans for the future when Fred came on line all excited with his story to
tell. "Well guys it looks like I'm one of you, not sure how it happened but
I fell down off the fence onto your side."  This brought a lot of laughter
from the other guys as Fred went on to explain that a couple of nights ago
they went all the way and how he is falling for Martha big time.  A few
ribald comments came from Miles and Keith but all of them agreed that they
were very happy for Fred and hoped it would turn into a lasting
relationship.

Fred went very quiet for a while and the others thought they might have
offended him but then he dropped the bombshell, "I'm seriously thinking of
asking Martha to marry me, what do you guys think."

That stunned them all at first and both Jordon and Geoff admitted to each
other that they were out of their league with this one.  It was Miles who
after all had been friends with Fred the longest who finally spoke
up. "Fred my dear friend if you really think this is the one for you go for
it, but just remember it's only been a couple of weeks so make absolutely

All the others online agreed, while at the same time offering
congratulations before they all said goodnight and Miles and Keith reminded
them they would be there in a couple of days from now.

After having hot chocolate and discussing Fred's story they went outside to

Being a Sunday didn't mean they could lie in bed. No, work had to be done

Thanking and apologizing at the same time as Betsy and her parents left
Jennifer, Jordon's mom arrived closely followed by Geoff's folks. Naturally
everyone was upset as they trooped inside to check out the website
listed. It was then that they got their biggest shock.  Not only were their
still pictures but a video of the whole lovemaking scene which ran for over
fifteen minutes. Damien immediately got on the phone colleague in Toronto
who was a computer expert who told him he would check it out and call him
back.  About twenty minutes later he got back to Damien explaining that

about twenty miles from them.

"It took a while because who ever did all this knew what he was doing and I
had to go through four different servers before I got to the original one."

Thanking him for his prompt actions Damien then called the police giving
them all the details and they promised to check it out and
investigate. Meanwhile his Toronto friend managed to get the site shut
down.

The poor boys didn't know where to look and what to do after seeing their

any idea how difficult it is going to be at school tomorrow not just for

School next day was as predicted a nightmare with everyone staring pointing

snide remarks from other teachers and difficulty in controlling her
classes.  The media also staked out the school and while Damien issued a
statement condemning this despicable act it didn't stop the questions being
thrown over the school fence whenever the boys appeared.  Finally Damien
took it upon himself to call the police have them removed.

The redneck hockey team had a field day handing out new posters with
different pictures every time one of the other posters were confiscated,
proving that they had something to do with it.  Later in the day the police
announced that a man had been placed under arrest on invasion of privacy
charges and other charges would follow, plus it was no surprise that it was
a parent of one of the rednecks.

Still it was the worst day in their lives as far as the boys were
concerned, and Jennifer Foster as well.  In fact Jennifer's news got worse
because that evening she got a phone call from her daughter Veronica with
even worse news.

"Oh mom, we saw the doctor today about my miscarriage and he told me that I
cannot have children.  We so dearly wanted at least two, so Eddie and I are
devastated right now."  Both mother and daughter were crying on the phone
as Veronica continued, "We checked on the internet about adoption and
Ontario only allows five a year and there's a long waiting list.  To go
through a private agency costs about twenty to thirty thousand dollars.
Some of the other states including yours are a bit more relaxed so we might
have to move closer to home, but then what kind of work is there for Eddie
and me for that matter."

"Don't give up just like that, check out all your options.  I have a little
bit of money set aside which your father didn't know about and you can have
that if need be, so don't panic or give up hope just yet." Jennifer paused
before continuing, "There is one other thing and that is you will have to
get married."

"We already thought of that mom and Eddie proposed to me just before I
called you and that's our other bit of news, we'll tell you more about our
wedding plans when we have some." She said with a laugh. They rang off
saying that they would keep in touch and up to date about everything.

Kids soon find other things' to amuse them and the next day while some
remarks were made about the posters most kids found other
distractions. Jordon and Geoff still felt very self-conscious and when
walking together they made sure there was plenty of space between
them. Both of their parents had given them the day off tomorrow because
Miles and Keith were arriving.  However, Jennifer was beginning to worry
about the time lost by not being at school by both boys and mentioned this
to Geoff's mother who said, "I don't think it will matter with those two,
they have set their minds on helping young people with problems like they
had and still have and I think they will learn more on the job with Damien
and Bentley than at school.

Thinking about what she had just heard, Jennifer thought what wise thinking
that was and began to wonder if she might be better employed home schooling
the boys and then continuing on after that with the boys coming into the
farm and she decided to talk to Damien about it.

The boys and especially Jordon were very excited the next day because they
were finally going to meet face to face with Miles and Keith.  They were
meeting them at Jordon's mom's place so they could then direct them to the
farm.  Jennifer decided that she would go to school as normal and let the
boys meet their friends from Texas without any interference from her and
likewise Damien and Bentley had agreed they would stay at the farm and
organise lunch.

The boys were getting anxious as the morning went on but finally at about
eleven a car pulled up outside and the two boys rushed out to meet their
Texas heroes. After talking outside, Jordon stopped saying, "let's go
inside and greet each other properly." Puzzled the two guys agreed and went
inside were Jordon kissed Miles on the lips and then Keith and not to be
outdone Geoff did the same.  Miles asked about coming indoors for that and
Jordon explained all about the posters and how their every move is watched.

Both agreed that was terrible and disgraceful as they made their way out to
the car for the short trip out to the farm.  First because they were
passing by they called in to say hello to Geoff's parents before heading
onto Jordon's farm as it was now being referred to and Damien and Bentley.
Both guys were impressed with the farm and the set up as they drove in.

Damien was the first out to greet them in and in gay tradition gave them
both a kiss and hug. He explained Bentley was busy cooking and lunch was at
a critical stage so he couldn't leave the kitchen.  Before going in they
had a quick tour of the yard before Bentley called out that lunch was
ready. After greeting and being introduced to Bentley they all sat down to
a meal which even by Bentley's standard was par excellence. They had big

homemade cheesecake made it to the table they were all well and truly fed.

All through the meal the boys talked non-stop about their plans and Geoff
couldn't help notice with a twinge of jealousy the admiring looks his
boyfriend kept throwing Miles way. The tall Texan had noticed this too and
it worried him a little but not enough to not enjoy the great meal and
wonderful company.  Both him and Keith took to Damien right away but
thought Bentley a lovable guy but just a bit too much of a queen for them.

After they had all eaten Damien produced the plans for the barn
accommodation and both guys marvelled at the hard work which had already
been done.  They went out to the barn and continued removing some of the
rubbish that farms appear to accumulate over the years.

After school was over Jennifer arrived followed by Geoff's parents,
complete with a pot roast and all the trimmings for supper much to
Bentley's disgust who had an attack of the sulks because he wasn't cooking.
Damien took him to one side and told him not to be a stupid drama queen and
that did the trick.

At one point during the afternoon Damien went away to take a phone call
leaving the other four in the barn. Working close together Jordon suddenly
grabbed Miles around the neck and began kissing him on the lips catching
him by surprise.  Geoff spotted this and immediately made a bee line for
Keith also kissing him and at the same time forcing his tongue between the
guy's lips.

Pushing Jordon away Miles called, "Time out guys, let's get something
straight right here right now.  Jordon your man is now Geoff and mine is
Keith.  I don't know about you two but we intend to be together as partners
and lovers for life and if we could we would marry right away.  I suspect
that you and Geoff have also made similar commitments to each other am I
right?"

With his head hanging down Jordon nodded as Miles continued, "Now if our
ages were perhaps a bit closer a foursome might just might have been on the
cards although I doubt if that would have happened either.  We are all gay
here with our own partners and that's the way it's going to be. Jordon if
you expected something different and a rekindling of what was said when we
were all those miles apart think again. I love you, you're a great young
guy and I hope we will remain friends for ever but that is as far as it
will go understood?"

Again Jordon nodded trying to hide the tears which were rolling down his
cheeks.  Keith whispered something to Geoff who nodded before going over to
Jordon and taking him in his arms, kissing him gently on the cheek.

Nothing more was said and they got back to work and soon everyone was
laughing and joking. They worked hard until Jennifer called them in to wash
up for supper and it was during that wonderful meal that she told them the
good and bad news about Veronica, Jordon's sister.

The bad news being that her and Eddie couldn't have children and the good
news that they were going to get married and try to adopt a child.

That cheered everyone up and then Jennifer made Jordon's day, "They want
you to give the bride away in place of your father, and Geoff, Eddie said
he would be honoured to have you as his best man."

That cheered both boys up especially Jordon who loved his sister dearly and
as he told his mom he would be honoured to walk his sister down the aisle.

So it was on a much happier note that everyone pitched in to do the washing
up and then get ready for bed.  With such a full house Geoff's parents
suggested that either Miles and Keith or Damien and Bentley spend the night
at their place but it was decided that Miles and his lover would sleep in
the lounge room which had a sofa that folded down into a double bed.

In their own bed lying side by side Geoff was silent waiting for Jordon to
make the first move following the incident in the barn with Miles, "Sorry
Geoff I don't know what came over me I just felt compelled to do it and I
promise you it will never happen again."  With that he turned and kissed
his lover.

"If that ever happens again Jordon even though I love you so much I think
our relationship would be on shaky ground.  Man how do you think I felt
when you did that right in front of me?  How could you do that without
knowing that you would be hurting me so much?"  Tears began to flow down
his cheeks as he turned away putting his face into the pillow.

Not quite knowing what to do Jordon reached over to comfort his lover and
finally he got him to turn and face him, "I'm sorry Geoff and I promise
never again to hurt you like I did today. I love you so much and that was
so stupid of me please forgive me, kiss me and make love to me."

Geoff felt he couldn't resist the longing look on his boyfriends face and
gave in making slow gentle love which went on for hours and hours until
they were both exhausted and fell asleep with only about two hours left
before the alarm clock would go.  Today they had to go to school despite
the protests they raised about wanting to stay with their guests.

It was two very tired young boys who said goodbye to Miles and Keith as
they dropped them off at school.  As they walked in to school the rednecks
taunted them with remarks about two new fuck buddies but they ignored them
as Betsy and the rest of the school bodyguard gathered around them.

Both boys knew it only a matter of time before something else would happen
to them but what would it be?

Writers Corner.

Well it was poor Geoff who finished up in hospital this time with some
dangerous life threatening injuries. When will all this violence end? I
think there is going to be a lot more before it's all over.

As I expected Jordon is still not fully over Miles and seeing him face to
face he had to go make a fool of himself.  It's good to know that Geoff is
so forgiving but everyone has the point when enough is enough.  Will Jordon
finish up pushing him to his limit?  I certainly hope not.

I feel for Veronica and Eddie who found out they couldn't have any
children. What a blow that must have been. Thanks to one of my readers I
found the right research material regarding adoption in Canada and was
surprised that each territory had its own regulations.  I thought it would
be a Federal thing.

Anyway they have a long road ahead before the adoption happens of that I'm
sure but the good news is the wedding.  Which brings me to the possibility
of another wedding looming with Fred seriously thinking about proposing to
Martha?

Editors corner.  Well its been another exciting chapter.  First Trevor
takes us through the agony of another hate crime.  I am thankful that Geoff
does not appear to hurt too bad.  I was surprised though that he was back
working on the farm as quickly as he did.  I cannot wait to see what the
cops and school are going to do to catch these bastards.  I know they got
the parent of one of the hockey guys.  I think they need to make an offer
to him that he will either go to jail for a long long time or he can name
names of those who were also involved.  As it is now I am scared for the
boys.  The Hockey team seems to think they are the rulers of the school and
that the school can't do anything to them.  They seem to have at least one
judge in their back pocket.

I am happy for Fred and Martha and hope they are able to get married.
Remember, Martha is a guy so it will be a same sex wedding.  I know Canada
allows same sex marriage today but it was just a few short years ago they
did not.  So it depends on the timeline of this story as to whether or not
they can tie the knot legally.  Hope they can get married though. (Richie
forgot that Fred & Martha are living in the USA not Canada)

I think Jordon is so stupid to go and kiss Miles.  If he told Geoff and
Miles ahead of time and they approved it would be OK.  What he did was NOT
OK.  He promised Geoff that he was the only one for him, yet at the drop of
a hat he is kissing Miles.  Not good.  Think this can cause a total break
up with Geoff and hopefully Jordon will be able to patch things up if this
happens.

Again, great story, love it and hope your readers love it like I do.
