From the response I got, you guys really enjoyed reading it. I don't know if you can appreciate what I'm about to say, but truly it is positive emails from my readers that pull me through the difficult writing times. One reader told me that he had never enjoyed reading, but over two days' time, he finished the 24 chapters of Mr. Hottie and couldn't wait for more. Talk about something building up my ego ... wow! Anyway, I had been in the doldrums over chapter 27, but your emails got me moving on that chapter and I was able to finish it. :) A huge thanks to all of you! And now on to the important stuff ... chapter 25! *** Chapter 25 Liam was the luckiest FUCK alive, anyway, Zach agreed. After the short hug from Liam ended, Zach curled his arm companionably around Jeremy's shoulder. "I'm really happy for you, Mr. C!" "Why, thanks, Zach!" Jeremy wondered if maybe he HAD been wrong about Zach's intentions, all along. In genuine gratitude, he wrapped his arms around the sexy teen. Liam watched the two, as Zach tightly hugged Jeremy back. And he couldn't help but notice the bone that was forming down the left leg of Zach's jeans. Liam smiled to himself. Yep ... Jem had been right; he was going to have his hands full with Zach! The hug ended, and while Zach talked with Jeremy and Liam, Shaun popped into the bathroom. He pulled his semi-erect penis through his open fly, let go a powerful stream, and called out, "Hey, Dad ... I'm starving! What's for breakfast, anyway?" Jeremy chuckled. "Have you taken a look at the clock? I'd say it's more like lunchtime." "Yeah, I have looked at it," Shaun replied, "and that's why I'm so hungry!" Jeremy turned to Liam and Zach, but spoke loud enough that Shaun could hear. "I think a celebration meal is in order; don't you guys? How about we go out and get something to eat ... maybe Le Peep? That way we could have either breakfast or lunch." "That sounds awesome to me!" Shaun shook off the last few drops, eased his dick back into his jeans, and zipped up. "Are we gonna go right away?" "Just as soon as everybody looks decent," Jeremy replied, as Shaun began to wash his hands. Actually, he thought all four of them looked great with bare torsos, but he knew most restaurants frowned on that kind of thing. Because the teens had used Zach's shirt as a cum-rag, the night before, Shaun said, "You can wear one of my shirts, Zach. Just get one out of the second drawer, or a button one from the closet, if my T-shirts are too small for you." "Thanks, Shaun." Zach stood and smiled at both men again, in his usual sexy way, before stepping into Shaun's room. He took the top shirt out of the drawer and smirked when he saw the bold letters `OMFG' emblazoned across the front of the burnt orange shirt. Raising his arms, he slipped it over his head. It was a bit on the small side, but Zach liked the way it hugged his body, and especially how it was just barely long enough to reach the top of his low-slung jeans. He made a point of stretching, when Shaun came back into the bedroom. "Fuck, Zach," Shaun exclaimed, barely louder than a hoarse whisper, "that shirt looks a lot hotter on you than it does on me!" Zach chuckled, while looking at his reflection in the mirror. "Yeah ... there's something about a tanned stomach, isn't there?" He rubbed the smooth skin below his belly button and where the top of his pubes would have been. "On you, anyway," Shaun agreed, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's neck and giving him a sweet kiss. "Not just on me." Lustfully, Zach rubbed his hand over Shaun's tummy, before adjusting his cock. "I guess we'd better not get too carried away right now, though," Shaun sighed. "Yeah, you're right, but it's hard when I'm around you," Zach glanced toward Shaun's crotch. "I can tell." Shaun hadn't meant it the way Zach took it, but when he looked down, the bone in his jeans was apparent. "Fuck, Zach, I'm turned on right now!" "Me, too ... but you'd better get dressed right now." Laughing, Zach pulled a second shirt from the drawer and handed it to Shaun. Jeremy gave Liam one of his shirts to wear, as well, and a few minutes later, the four were piling into Liam's nearly new, red, two-door Volvo coupe. The car had a short-throw, manual transmission, and Liam crisply whipped the car through the parking lot and onto the street. After turning onto the highway, he accelerated briskly to the speed limit of 60 mph, while drawing approving comments from both teens in the back seat. Shaun thought Liam drove the way a guy OUGHT to drive ... not poke around, getting up to highway speed, the way his dad usually did. Both boys were in awe of the sporty car, itself; it was nothing like the family station wagons they had known. "Hey, Liam..." Shaun wondered whether to say what he was thinking, or not ... but decided to go for it. "Now that you and my dad are getting together, do I get to learn how to drive in this car?" Liam laughed. "Leave it to a teenager to come right to the point!" Jeremy turned his head and looked at Shaun. This was the first time he had ever heard Shaun talk about driving. Of course, he'd known for a while that the topic would come up, sooner or later, since Shaun was eligible to apply for a Driver Education Permit when he turned 15, and his birthday was less than 5 months away. Talk about something that was hard to believe! "I think you'd better learn in OUR car, Shaun." Jeremy didn't mention that they wouldn't be out much, if Shaun had a fender-bender in the old Subaru. Zach was a bit put-off, since Shaun would be able to legally get behind the wheel of a car, over half a year before him. And he didn't have the same reservations as Jeremy. "Yeah ... I bet Liam would be pissed, BIG TIME, when you wrecked this sweet car!" Shaun feigned a punch at Zach, but had a big smile on his face. Good-naturedly, the boys raked each other over the coals, as Jeremy told Liam to turn south on Main Street. Following Jeremy's directions, Liam drove through old-town Longmont, and a few minutes later was parking beside the restaurant. Since none of the others had ever been to Le Peep before, and Jeremy had been there a few times for school related working breakfasts, the others took Jeremy's suggestion and ordered breakfast. No one was disappointed with the food. As they ate, they celebrated Jeremy and Liam getting together, and discussed what they ought to do with the rest of their weekend. Sex wasn't even mentioned, probably because it was a given. Of course, all four of them were looking down the road a bit, too. Would Liam move in with Jeremy and Shaun, or would the Carters move downstairs with Liam? Would they move somewhere else, entirely? If they moved, Zach sure hoped it wasn't far, and he freely shared that opinion with the others. Whatever the others decided, Zach was already making plans to be a big part of it ... and not just because of Shaun. As the long breakfast was winding down, it was decided by consensus that Liam would move his clothes upstairs. But they still hadn't decided what to do with the rest of their afternoon, when Zach suggested they go kayaking on McIntosh Lake. None of the guys had ever done that before, but they were all up for trying it. Of course, nobody owned a kayak, but all the guys had seen a boat rental company trailer parked beside the lake a few times. When they got back to the Carter apartment, all four climbed the stairs to the loft, and Jeremy did a quick Google search. Moments later, he dialed the number of the fledgling company. He spoke to the woman who answered the phone, and was told all the kayaks were rented for both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. They did have a couple of canoes available ... they were being returned as they spoke ... and she asked if Jeremy wanted to reserve them. Jeremy took the phone away from his mouth and turned to the other guys. "Hey ... how would you guys like to go out in canoes instead? All the kayaks are rented, but they have a couple of canoes." "That sounds like a lot of fun to me," Shaun declared, remembering a canoe trip he had taken with his mom and dad, in better times. He looked to Zach for his approval. Both Zach and Liam agreed, though neither of them had ever been canoeing before, and Jeremy reserved the canoes for a couple of hours. Liam left to change clothes, downstairs, and while Jeremy slipped into swimming trunks, a T-shirt, and a windbreaker, Shaun lent Zach a few things that he could fit into. Minutes later, the four drove to the far side of the lake and parked near the Jeep and canoe rental trailer. The guys got out of the car and walked toward the lake. A couple, around Jeremy's age, were sitting in lawn chairs, next to the put-in ramp. "Excuse me ... are you the folks with the canoe rentals." As Jeremy spoke, both the man and woman stood. "Yes," the woman answered, "but I just rented the last two. Maybe try back in a couple of hours?" Jeremy chuckled. "I'm Jeremy Carter, the man you rented the canoes to over the phone." "Oh ... hello, Mr. Carter!" The woman extended her hand. "We've got them all ready for you." She pointed to a couple of dark green canoes, which had been pulled onshore near where she and her husband had been seated. " I just need for you to fill out some paperwork." With Jeremy in tow, she walked to the Jeep and removed a clipboard from the front passenger seat, while the man smiled and began to talk to Liam and the boys. After Jeremy had given his life history ... or so it seemed ... filling out the papers, and signed his life away three times, she swiped his credit card with her iPhone, and the guys were almost ready to shove off. "Do you guys know how to put on the life vests?" the man asked, handing them out to the men and boys. "It looks pretty straightforward," Liam replied, putting his arms through the webbing. The man laughed. "Yeah, I know ... but I have to ask. You don't actually have to wear it on the water, but we have to ensure that each of you has one, and knows how to use it." "Is the water deep?" Liam asked, buckling the front of the vest. He unbuckled it immediately, and slipped it off. "Not really," the man replied, "except for near the dam. But, you know how government regulations are" Liam agreed, wholeheartedly. Though the temperature was barely into the seventies, the sun was shining brightly. Both Zach and Shaun took off their T's ... and Zach pulled Shaun's newest pair of board shorts further down on his hips ... before donning the bright yellow vests. "Can we leave these here?" Zach asked, taking Shaun's shirt from him, and holding them both out to the boat rental people. "Sure, we can hang onto those for you." Smiling, the man took the shirts from Zach. Soon Jeremy and the teens had adjusted the straps on their vests. They were taking them off, as Liam asked, "Okay ... now who's going to ride with who?" Zach was the first to speak up. "I'll paddle with Mr. C ... if you don't mind, Liam." "Sure, Zach ... that's fine with me." A knowing look passed between the two men. Jeremy chuckled and shook his head. "Since we've got the canoes for a couple of hours, why don't we trade off, after a while? That way everybody will get a chance to ride with everybody else." Liam especially liked that idea, since he wanted to get to know both Shaun and Zach better. "Come on, Shaun ... let's get this boat in the water." In their flip-flops, the two waded into the chilly water of McIntosh Lake, manhandling the canoe alongside them. Holding the boat steady, Liam let Shaun get in first. Shaun took the bow position, and Liam climbed onboard moments later, taking the rear seat. Each guy picked up an oar and slowly began to paddle the canoe away from the shore. "I guess it's you and me, then," Jeremy smiled at Zach. "Let's get this canoe on the water." Bidding farewell to the canoe rental proprietors, Jeremy and Zach pushed the last boat into the shallow waters of McIntosh Lake. Right away, Zach realized that he wasn't going to be able to act sexy ... at least, not with his frontside ... since both men had to face forward, to paddle the canoe. But, even so, he enjoyed the closeness with his teacher, as the two joked around with each other. While they rowed, an idea crossed Zach's mind ... and wouldn't leave. The more he thought about it, the more he believed it might work. Of course, it would require Liam's help ... and probably Shaun's, as well ... to pull off. Liam and Shaun both enjoyed the time together, too ... as they slowly made a circuit of the good-sized lake ... and got better acquainted. After a few minutes of heart-to-heart conversation, Shaun felt he could be completely honest with Liam, and told him how he felt about having a second dad. Throwing back his head, Liam chuckled. "Hey, Shaun ... I'm too young to be a dad, anyway! What do you say we just be friends?" "Man, that's just what I was hoping you'd say!" Shaun lay down his oar and turned to hug Liam, because he was so happy. As he began to stand, the canoe started wobbling, and Liam didn't seem to be trying to help steady it, as he swayed from side to side. Shaun lost his balance, while stepping over the center yoke. Immediately, he ducked down, grabbing hold of the port gunwale, but it was too little, too late. "What the ..." Shaun went over the side and into the water, almost taking Liam with him. "Are you okay, Shaun?" Liam stifled his laughter for as long as he could. However, as an obviously embarrassed, but otherwise okay, dripping wet Shaun stood up in the waist-deep water, Liam burst out laughing. The embarrassment left Shaun in a flash, and, with an evil grin on his face, he took hold of the side of the canoe, rocking it violently. Before Liam knew what was happening, he was in the water, too. The hug Shaun had been planning still happened, but in the water, rather than in the boat. And it was Liam, not Shaun, who initiated it, before they awkwardly climbed back into the canoe. Anyway, Shaun was even happier for his dad ... and himself, really ... by the time they were ready for him and Zach to exchange places. The guys beached their canoes, not far from the inlet of the stream that flowed through the Andersen farm, and the four talked for a few moments, before the teens changed places. As they relaunched, Jeremy smiled. "Shaun, how'd everything go between you and Liam?" "Couldn't have been better, Dad. I think it's gonna be really cool, living with him, don't you?" "Yes, I do, Shaun. And I'm really happy to hear you say you're going to like living with him, because I love the man more than I can tell you." "Hey ... I know how that is." Jeremy thought of his son with Zach, as they paddled away from the others and into open water. "I bet you do, Shaun. Zach's a good kid." Shaun nodded thoughtfully, and shook his head. "Yeah ... I don't know how I was ever so lucky, Dad." Jeremy smiled; Shaun was like him in so many ways. "Shaun, stop selling yourself short, because I don't think luck had anything to do with it. Hey, you're a super kid, too ... and if anyone is lucky, I think it's Zach!" Shaun smiled. "Thanks, Dad." He'd go along with his father, but in his heart, he knew that he was the one who'd gotten the better part of the deal between him and Zach. Liam and Zach slowly paddled across the lake, and away from the others. For some reason, that Liam couldn't quite put his finger on, he had taken to Zach right away. Almost from the start, he had sensed that he could talk to Zach as a true friend and equal. They were quiet for a while, before Liam spoke. "You know something, Zach? You are one lucky son of a bitch!" Zach laughed; Liam had a way with words, no doubt about it! "I'm not kidding," Liam continued. "Fuck, when I was your age, I sure wish I had a boyfriend, the way you do. I mean, from the beginning, I was pretty sure I was into guys, but it was hard finding somebody else who felt the same as me ... or would admit they felt that way, anyway. Not that there weren't guys out there, I suppose; but I guess I was scared shitless to bring up the subject." "Yeah, I know what you mean," Zach agreed. He thought back to the early awkwardness between himself and Shaun. "When did you have your first boyfriend, anyways?" Liam chuckled. "Well, I coaxed a good friend to jackoff with me ... in seventh or eighth grade, I guess it must have been. But he was always afraid somebody would find out, and he'd be bullied and called gay, when he really wasn't. At least, that's what he said." Though Zach couldn't see him, Liam shook his head. "I still wonder about him, though. But, to answer your question, I had my first boyfriend when I was a freshman in college." "Cool ... was he, um, good in bed?" "He was my first, so I didn't have anyone else to compare him to, but I thought so ... yeah." Liam smiled, remembering. "But like you already know, there's more to loving someone, than just how good they are in the sack." "I'm beginning to learn that," Zach replied. Though he wouldn't admit it ... and probably didn't even know ... a 14 year old still had a LOT to learn. "How come you guys aren't still together?" "Well, he was three years older than me. And when he graduated from college, he moved on." Liam thought for a moment ... should he tell Zach, or not? In the end, he decided to. "When I was in college, I had a pretty wild time, I guess. I slept with a lot of guys; most of them just wanted to try out sex with another man, and all of them were as shallow as hell. Jem's not like that, though." Zach agreed. "Liam, have you ever ... um ... like had a crush on some guy ... and were afraid to tell him how you felt about him?" "Lots of times, Zach." Zach lifted his oar out of the water and rested it on the bow for a moment. He twisted his body, so he could look at Liam. "I don't mean like guys in the movies, or a rock band, or that kind of stuff. But somebody you know?" Liam didn't have to think for long; two guys came to mind right away. Zach chuckled. "I mean, I've been crushing on Mr. C ... um, Mr. Hottie, I call him sometimes ... since the first day of school, almost." He paused for a moment. "I know the two of you are together now, and all. Maybe I shouldn't, but I still feel the same way about him." "Hey ... why should you try to change how you feel about Jem, just because he's with me now?" "`Cause I like you, too, Liam, and I don't wanna cause you guys lots of problems. But, fuck, I can't change how I feel ... can I?" "Well, it wouldn't be easy, anyway." A moment later, Liam asked, "Does Shaun know about all of this?" "Yeah," Zach laughed. "He thinks I'm crazy!" Liam laughed along with Zach. "You know ... I had a crush on one of my teachers when I was a sophomore in high school." Fondly, Liam looked back on those days. "He taught English. It was his first year as a teacher; he was athletic, fresh out college ... only three or four months before our school year began ... and single. Fuck, he was such a hot man!" "So, he wasn't all that much older than you, then," Zach answered. They had floated into the middle of the lake, and he carefully lifted a leg over the seat, and turned around until he faced Liam. "Not really ... only five or six years, I guess," Liam said. "But shit, in some ways he made it seem like a lot more." "Yeah, well ... I don't look at Mr. Hottie as being all that much older than me." Zach watched Liam intently, judging his reaction. When he didn't see anything negative, he went on, "So, did you guys ever get it on?" "Oh, believe me, I wanted it to happen SO bad..." "Like me, I guess." "Yeah, Zach, I suppose so. Anyway, I did my damnedest to get the man to notice me." "Did any of it work?" This was good stuff that Liam was sharing, and Zach hoped he would tell all. Liam shook his head. "Not at first ... and maybe NEVER quite the way I hoped ... but I didn't give up trying. I kept thinking, if only I could make myself appear sexier to the man, he would pay more attention to me." Zach shook his head in agreement. "I told a few of my good friends about my crush ... and kept bringing it up, again and again ... until finally one of them told me I ought to either do something about it, or shut the fuck up." "So did you ... do something, I mean?" Zach asked, all ears. "Oh, yeah..." Smiling, Liam glanced at the other canoe, several hundred feet away. "But if you EVER tell Jem that I told you any of this, Zach ..." Zach shook his head that he'd never say a word to Mr. C, and listened, openmouthed, as Liam began to tell all. *** This is a great place to end chapter 25. I hope all of you enjoyed reading it. I don't know if you can tell or not, but I love writing dialog ... a lot more than expository writing. It hasn't always been that way for me, but anymore, when I get writer's block, if I can get a good conversation going, things seem to get back on track. (lol) Anyway, if you enjoyed this chapter, I hope you will email me (fotogme11@yahoo.com). Have a great week, everybody!
