Angel We Have Heard On High 1x05

10 days 'til fall semester

"Hi," a girl's voice called out and Julia spun around.
She was greeted by four girls all dressed in the same thing, blouses and skirts. Only they were color coded. The tallest of the girls had blonde hair that was slightly curled at the ends and green eyes. She was wearing a light green blouse and a dark green skirt. The next tallest girl had deep red hair that was cropped to shoulderlength and piercing red eyes. She was wearing a light red blouse and a deep red skirt. The next shortest girl had light brown hair that reached beyond her shoulders and was curly all around and deep brown eyes. A fringe of her hair ran in front of her eyes. She was wearing a light brown blouse and a deep brown skirt. The shortest girl had light brown hair with blonde streaks in it. It was tied by a hairpin in the back of her head and some streaks of it fell in front of her ears. She was wearing a light blue blouse and a deep blue skirt.
"Er... hi," Julia said. "You are talking to me, right?"
"Yes," the girl wearing blue said. "We're exchange students from Greece and need someone to point out to us where our dorm rooms are. We're in rooms 326 and 327."
"Oh, I know where that is," Julia said and smiled. "Come with me. I'll show you."
"Thank you very much," the girl wearing brown thanked Julia. "My name is Terra."
"I'm Aqua." the one wearing blue introduced herself. "And the one wearing red is Ignis. The one wearing green is Aero."
"I'm Julia," Julia introduced herself. "So, how do you guys know each other?"
"We grew up in the same neighbourhood," Ignis chuckled. "It's almost as if we're sisters."
      "That's nice." Julia chuckled.

(Opening Theme plays)

Madonna - Like A Prayer

"Life is a mystery, everyone must stand alone,
I hear you call my name and it feels like home,"

"When you call my name, it's like a little prayer,
I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there,
In the midnight hour, I can feel your power,
Just like a prayer, you know I'll take you there,"

"I hear your voice, it's like an Angel sighing,
I have no choice, I hear your voice,"
Chorus: "Feels like flying,"
"I close my eyes, oh God, I think I'm falling,
Out of the sky, I close my eyes,"
Chorus: "Heaven help me,"

"When you call my name, it's like a little prayer,
I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there,
In the midnight hour, I can feel your power,
Just like a prayer, you know I'll take you there,"

9 days 'til fall semester

"Aqua, Ignis, Aero and Terra?" Philip asked. "Do you know what that means?"
"That their parents are really cruel?" Angel chuckled.
He, Philip and Julia were all walking down campus carrying bags of groceries.
"No, you schmageggie," Philip groaned. "Their names. They mean Water, Fire, Wind and Earth. The four elements."
      "Cool names, then." Angel chuckled.
"Well, they invited me shopping tomorrow," Julia said. "So I won't be able to make it to our baseball game with Robin and the others."
"Dumped for a bunch of girls?!" Philip exclaimed. "So this is what it feels like. Ricki Lake, where are you?"
      "Dofus!" Julia groaned.
      "Bimbo!" Philip retorted.
      "Moron!" Julia yelled back.
      "Brunette!" Philip retorted.
"Oh, that does it!" Julia exclaimed and struck Philip over the head with a bag of chips.

8 days 'til fall semester

"My God!" Robin groaned. "They're kicking our asses!"
"And pinching them, too," Angel chuckled and received another pinch on the ass by hilip. "Hey! Stop that or I just might change my opinion on homosexuality!"
"Oh, take it like a man," Philip chuckled. "The getting ass-kicked and getting ass-pinched."
"You've got such a way with words." Daniel chuckled sarcastically.
"So, you're okay with this, right?" Philip asked Daniel. "I mean, I might sneak peaks at you when you dry up after taking a shower."
"Feeling I've been lost for years,"
"As long as you don't pinch my ass." Daniel chuckled.
"I can't make any promises." Philip said mischeviously.
      "Good enough." Daniel chuckled.

7 days 'til fall semester

"Marion!!!" Angel exclaimed and rushed over the girl that had just walked in through his dorm room door.
She had straight blonde hair that ran down to her shoulders. Her eyes were piercing green and she was wearing a black shirt and a pair of blue jeans.
"You could never understand me unless you've seen those tears,"
"David!" Marion exclaimed and the two hugged.
"What are you doing here?" Angel wondered.
"We're moving back!" Marion declared. "I enrolled and got in. We're even in the same homeroom."
"But you never get to sleep when I'm away,"
"Oh my God!" Angel exclaimed. "I can't believe it! By why did you move back? Didn't you like Chicago?"
                  "I don't mind,"
"My father got a better job here." Marion chuckled.
                  "The deeper that you lay,"
"Oh, this is going to be the best year ever!" Angel mused.

6 days 'til fall semester

"Hi, could you help me with something?" a girl asked Marion as she was walking down school campus.
The girl had curly blonde hair that ran past her shoulders and down her back. Her eyes were light blue and she was wearing a white tanktop and a pair of jeans.
      "Sure," Marion replied. "Whaddya need?"
                  "Out of town,"
"I need helping finding room number 273," the girl said. "Do you know where it is?"
                  "Pain/I can't sleep,"
"Of course I do," Marion chuckled. "That's my room."
"Oh, then you must be my new roommate," the girl chuckled and offered Marion her hand. "I'm Julie."
"Marion." Marion introduced herself and shook Julie's hand.
                  "Pain/I can't sleep,"

6 days 'til fall semester

      "Hey, Richard?" Angel yelled out.
The person he yelled out to had pale blonde hair that was slightly spiky and green eyes. He was a bit shorter than Angel, but very muscular, obviously a jock. He was wearing a green jersey and a pair of white shorts.
"Hey," he responded. "Please call me Neo."
                  "Running, running from those days,"
"Oh, right," Angel chuckled. "I forgot. That's the nickname that your teammates gave you."
Then came a long awkward silence.
"So, why have you been avoiding me lately?" Angel wondered.
"You're friends with Wester, right?" Neo wondered.
      "Yeah." Angel said.
                  "There's another one inside me,"
"Well, as long as you're friends with that fag, we can't hang out." Neo said coldly and then walked away.
Angel was frozen at the spot. He could not speak, nor could he move. He had just lost one of his best friends since childhood to ignorance.

5 days 'til fall semester

"I feel so bad about this whole thing." Philip sighed.
                  "Just I've gone insane,"
"Don't do that," Angel said and patted Philip's shoulder. "I mean, it's not your fault that he's homophobic."
"No, but its my fault that we became friends." Philip said quietly.
                  "But you always run away,"
"I don't know if I even can stay friends with someone who is homophobic." Angel sighed.
"Thanks for chosing me." Philip chuckled.
                  "I don't mind,"
"I didn't chose you." Angel chuckled.
      "Oh." Philip said.
"A day, I'll track you down,"
"Kidding." Angel chuckled and was pinched in the butt by Philip. "Ow!"

4 days 'til fall semester

"Are you sure of that we don't have anything to do today?" Philip asked Julia.
                  "Run you down,"
The two were lying down on Philips's bed and staring at the ceiling.
                  "Pain/I can't sleep,"
"Nope," Julia sighed. "Not a single thing."

3 days 'til fall semester

"Hey, Wester!" a voice called out.
Philip was walking through the forest situated right next to Hereditary High in search for blueberries.
                  "Pain/I can't sleep,"
"Yeah, what?" he asked and spun around.
The first thing that he saw was a fist approaching him. It hit him square in the nose, causing him to lose balance and fall to the ground.
"Don't stop, don't talk, do not fuck with me,"
      "Yeah, this!" the voice said.
Then Philip felt someone kick him in the stomach. He curled up in pain and his eyes shot around. The only thing that he had time to see before getting punched in the face so hard that he passed out was the face of a blonde boy that he had seen talking to Angel, a boy he knew as Neo.
"Don't stop, don't talk, do not fuck with me,"

"He's waking up." a voice said.
Philip opened one eye, but all he could see was a blur. He felt something on his face. Someone sticky and slightly hard. He realized that it was his own coagulated blood. He looked around and saw tha the was in his own room, lying in his own bed. Robin, Julia and Angel were standing around him.
Philip looked down at himself and saw, through the blur and haze, that his shirt had been torn apart and that "Fag Boy" was written in red lipstick across his stomach.
"Loaded, I've loaded up this gun,"
"Here, let me get that for you." Julia said and went down on her knees.
She then started rubbing the lipstick off with the wet towelette that she was holding in her left hand.
      "What happend?" Angel asked.
"There's a killer in me hoping, hope that you are the one,"
      "Neo..." Philip said quietly.
The harsh truth came on Angel light a plane crash. Neo had done this, he realized that.
"I'm so sorry." he apologized to Philip.
"But you always run away when I come around,"
"Don't be," Philip said weakly and coughed a couple of times.
He then forced a smile onto his face. "It's not your fault, remember?"
"Oh my God!" Julia exclaimed and jumped to her feet, staring down at Philip's wound.
                  "I don't mind"
      "What?" Robin asked.
"A day, I'll track you down,"
"This is no lipstick." Julia said and everyone's eyes glued to Philip's stomach.
                  "Pain/I can't sleep,"
Suddenly, a trickle of blood shot out of it. That's when Philip realized that he had a wound on his stomach, right where the letter "G" was written.
                  "Pain/I can't sleep,"
      "It's blood." Julia said.
                  "Pain/I can't sleep,"

"How is he doing?" Robin asked William.
He, William, Julia and Angel were all gathered together in a waiting room at Hereditary General Hospital.
"Fine," William said and Angel sighed with relief. "He has a mild concussion and we found some internal bleedings, but he'll be able to fully recover before school starts."
      "Thank God." Julia said.
"Do you know who did this to him?" William wondered.
"He doesn't want to press charges," Robin said quietly. "He doesn't want the publicity."
      "Why?" William wondered.
      "Personal reasons." Angel said.
"Oh." William interjected. "Was this a gay bash?"
      "Yeah." Julia said sadly.
"Then I understand," William said. "You can go see him now."
"Thanks." Robin thanked William and he, Julia and Angel then trottled off towards Philip's hospital room.
"Lying in my bed/Hear the clock ticking/Think of you,"
As the three friends entered the room, Philip was waking up. He looked around and smiled when he caught sight of his friends.
      "Hi." he greeted them.
"Hi." he was greeted back by Robin.
"Caught up in circles/Confusion/There's nothing new,"
"How are you doing?" Julia asked Philip.
"Pretty well," Philip chuckled weakly. "Except for the excruciating pain."
                  "Flashback/One nights/Almost left behind,"
"Why don't you want to press charges?" Robin wondered. "I mean, I think that he and his buddies should pay."
                  "Suitcase of memories/Time after time,"
"My parents still don't know about me," Philip coughed. "They're homophobic. It's bound to end up in the papers if we go public."
"Sometimes you picture me/I'm walking too far ahead,"
"Yeah, but they're in Sweden." Angel protested.
"How in the world could they know?" Julia wondered.
"Should call in to me/I can't hear what you said,"
"There are ways," Philip coughed. "I can't risk them knowing. I'd lose everything."
"Then you said 'Go slow, I'm far behind'/The second hand unwinds,"
"So, where do we go from here?" Julia wondered.
"Well, I'm sure as Hell not gonna be Neo's friend anymore," Angel snorted. "Not that he wants to be my friend, anyway."
"If you're lost you look and you will find me/Time afte time,"
"He must be so lonely," Robin sighed. "To do something like this."
      "Don't defend him." Julia protested.
"If you fall I will catch you/I will be waiting/Time after time,"
"I'm not defending him." Robin said.
      "Oh." Julia said.
"If you're lost you look and you will find me/Time afte time,"
"He needs to rest now." William said from the door opening and smiled at Philip. "How are you doing, mate?"
      "Pretty well, thanks." Philip coughed.
"If you fall I will catch you/I will be waiting/Time after time,"
"See ya on the first day of school, I guess." Robin said.
      "I guess." Philip said.

Fall semester begins...

"How are you holding up?" Derek asked Philip.
"Would people please stop asking me that?" Philip groaned.
The two of them were walking down school campus carrying biology books.
"I just feel so guilty for being out of town when you needed me." Derek said.
"Oh, that's sweet." Philip said and gave Derek a peck on the cheek.
      "Not that guilty." Derek said.
      "Sorry." Philip said and grinned.
"You're not really sorry, are you?" Derek asked Philip suspiciously.
"Nope." Philip said wit ha devilish grin on his face.
Suddenly Philip spotted his termentor, Neo. He was coming towards them. Their eyes met and Philip feared that Neo would do something to him as he passed him, but nothing happened. They just passed each other.
"Be brave." Derek whispered to Philip.
"I'm trying," Philip said. "I'm trying so hard to be."

In the middle of fall semester...

"It's good that you finally bought yourself some glasses," Julia said and she and Philip walked down school halls. "Now you won't have to ask me what the teacher's writing on the black board all the time."
"What's for lunch?" Philip wondered as the two arrived at the school cafeteria.
"My friends are gonna call me 'Hey dreamer'/The stars are watching us so far,"
"Something ooey, gooey and ishy." Julia groaned.
"Didn't we have that yesterday?" Philip wondered.
"Tonight I know I will get her/By plane or by bus ride to my star,"
"Nah," Julia chuckled. "That was something ooey gooey and mushy."
      "Aaah." Philip said.
The two entered the cafeteria and each grabbed a plate and some food and sat down where they usually sat.
"Where are the others, anyway?" Philip wondered.
"But then there are things you just don't know/In spite someone's told you you're so cute,"
"They skipped lunch to go to some book sale somewhere." Julia told Philip.
"What?!" Philip exclaimed. "Why wasn't I told about this sale?"
"Oh, calm down," Julia groaned. "You're still young. There will be other sales."
"You have to ask and I will show/The snow in the summer on so so,"
      "Smartass." Philip grumbled.
"I live for the smartassing." Julia said and shrugged her shoulders with a grin on her face.
There was a long silence and Julia concentrated on eating her food for a while until she noticed that Philip was staring beyond her shoulder. She titled her head slightly to the side and saw the object, or the person, rather, that Philip was staring at. He was about their age and had dirty blonde hair cropped neatly and piercing blue eyes. He was talking to two other guys, whom Julia recognized as members of the football team.
"If my star would fall/Or disappear at all,"
"Hey." Julia called out to Philip, snapping him out of his trance.
      "Huh?" Philip wondered.
"It's a good thing it's dark in here." Julia said and grinned.
"I will follow my star 'til the end of my days/And my heart's gonna lead me through so many ways,"
      "Why?" Philip wondered.
"Because it is wasn't, your glasses would've burnt a hole in that cute guy's pants," Julia chuckled. "Or worse, his face."
"Oh, you are so crude, Julia," Philip groaned. "Now let me have my little crush in peace."
"If you're gonna join me, I'll be your guide/Baby, never say 'never'/Be my runaway bride,"
"Oh, so it's a crush now, is it?" Julia asked and faked a hurt look. "Why haven't you told me about this? I thought we were best friends."
"We are," Philip said. "It's just that. I don't know."
"My friends are gonna tell me 'Just calm down'/The walls you are walking are so high,"
"You never know anything." Julia sighed and was suddenly hit by a small potato in the face.
"This is my chance and I will voice/Of the dreamers and lovers that fly fly,"
      "Hey!" she exclaimed.
"Hey, what?" Philip asked with an innocent look on his face and fluttering puppy eyes.
"I'm back from the future, life goes on/Still, I remember my promise,"
"Oh, nothing." Julia muttered and Philip grinned.
Suddenly, Philip felt something. He suddenly felt a shiver run down his spine and something else in his heart. Suddenly, he could hear his own heart beating like drums in his ears. He looked up and saw the cute boy he had been staring at stare back of him, jus for one split second, before turning away.
"You have to ask and I will show/The snow in the summer on so so,"
"She's so hot." Philip could read off of the blonde's lips.
"Oh, well," he thought. "Just my luck."
                  "If my star would fall,"

Madonna - Like A Prayer

"When you call my name, it's like a little prayer,
I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there,
In the midnight hour, I can feel your power,
Just like a prayer, you know I'll take you there,"

"Like a child, you whisper softly to me,
You're in control, just like a child,"
Chorus:"Now I'm dancing,"
"It's like a dream, no end and no beginning,
You're here with me, it's like a dream,"
Chorus:"Let the choir sing,"

"When you call my name, it's like a little prayer,
I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there,
In the midnight hour, I can feel your power,
Just like a prayer, you know I'll take you there,"
