Date: Wed, 2 Dec 2015 14:36:47 +1000 From: Addisyn Draco Batchelor Subject: Ok.30. KD Yo, OK fans! Addisyn, the author of this story, has relinquished control of the 30th chapter of his story to me, Kody Drake. You might know me from previous chapters of OK, namely the last two. So, Addisyn decided that you've all heard enough from my Dads, and wanted me to put my point of view in to the pot. Kory wants his own chapter, but I can't exactly say what Addi will want, so I can't promise anything. The same old warnings and conditions apply, if you're too young don't read this because it might warp your vulnerable psyches, this entire story is copyright of Addisyn Draco, etc. Donate to nifty if you can, coz if they weren't around, you would have never have been able to hear inspired and brilliant voices like mine. Peace guys! A Different View Ok, I haven't really been human for long, but I've got to admit, you guys have a real hard time living. I mean, you only use 10% of your brains! Ever! That's gotta suck. I can feel myself losing brain cells as we speak. And you're so fragile! You have soft, vulnerable bellies, your heart is prone to stopping just coz it wants to, and if your brain stops there's nothing you can do about it. You're like glass! No offense. I mean, you're stuck on this planet for the forseeable future, only a few of you have experienced space travel and the planet you're stuck on is in it's final stages of being able to deal with you all. When it's done, so are you guys. But, anyways, you'll get there. You've got too much great television and too many awesome movies about the survival of the human race to die out in a massive extinction level extermination. Which is probably why my family have tried so hard to save it. Anyways, enough human bashing. So, after Daddy Tobe stopped hyper ventilating long enough to start letting things sink in, he started worrying about trying to explain two new kids that didn't come into the hotel doors, as we appparently try to get a car to the airport. At least that's what I got from the babbling. I didn't entirely understand why he wanted to use all this mortal transport. I guess I had to remind him. "Dad, why do we need to use human transport? It's so dangerous and inefficient! We're witches, aren't we?" Seriously, my Dad is a supremely powerful, transdimensional being, but sometimes he can be a bit dumb. Well, I guess he's got a lot to remember. "Oh, yeah. Forgot about that. But what about the hotel staff? We can't just disappear with them thinking we're still here!" It was Kory's turn to butt in. "You mean you've never made someone see something that isn't there?" Low blow. He knows for a fact that he has. Half a dozen times. He's definitely got Uncle Zayk's genes. "How do you know about that?" Dad Ax said. Even I could see this was an admission of guilt. And I just learned English. "We were watching you..." Kory said, in a spooky kind of voice. It was hilarious. "You mean... The whole time... You..." Typical Ax. Both my Daddy's minds live in the gutter. "Only when you used magic. And at crucial points in your life. It's kind of a rule. Don't remember which one of you thought of it, but all 4 of you agreed." Explained Kory. They all looked relieved. Which is good for now, because in time they'll remember everytime they used magic to remove eachother's clothes. Can't wait for that. It was then that I said, "OK, enough talk, we've got to get home. Dads, go downstairs and checkout of the hotel, pretend that you've ordered a limousine. Then go outside and we'll meet you. We'll teleport from there." "But what if people see us just, well, vanishing?" Uncle Dyl asked. He was kind of always quietly the smart one. Haha. "Regular humans don't tend to see magic, or register it. They tend to just look right past it and walk on by. Too hard for them to explain, so they don't try." Dad Ax replied. Scratch my previous comment, Ax has always been the smart one. Papa T then started to focus more closely on the task at hand, finally. Within 15 minutes they were out of the door, heading to the lobby. "Thank God that's over" muttered Kore. "Yeah, but it's only just started, really. I guess we can say thank God we got them to go to the house. They don't seem to understand how important it is to be there." I said. I suppose I should explain. Daddy T was "born" onto this planet before either of the other three. He became world famous and, in some ways, changed the world. All from his seat of power, his house. He always came back to it, brought my other Dad into it, fought my Uncle Zayk there, but has not brought Uncle Dyl there yet. Once they are all there, they will begin to remember. They have to, because unfortunately they are at the point in their journey together where it has all gone wrong before. It follows the same pattern. They are born into a world, mostly seperate, and follow seperate paths. Dad T is always born first, and usually goes into music. Dad Ax kinda just floats, being sweet and awesome. Uncle Zayk generally causes havoc. They are always the twins, but don't last long together after 'birth'. Most times Uncle Dyl dies when he world tries to end. Sometimes he is saved, sometimes not. They always become their respective version of a witch, or a werewolf like creature - depending on their planet and species. They then, somehow, manage to meet. Then the planet they are living on reacts to the concentration of power. That much power in one place is never really a good thing, and the effects of that causes, ummm, what's the word? Cataclysm. Disaster. Apocalyptic Annihilation. Something along those lines. That part has already happened, in Sweden, which is why we have to get to Dad's place as soon as we can. He doesn't know it, but the house is protected. We can't be found, and our power is contained within the gates.. Think of it like in Harry Potter. Hogwarts is "unplottable", so can't be found unless you are invited there. Same with Dad's house. The universe works mysteriously, and some things just happen without explanation. Don't ask me who's doing these things, nothing that's alive in this universe today can say for sure. It's what drives life. So, we both teleport downstairs to where our parents are, scaring the shit out of them, and within 15 seconds we were in Australia. Dad's House. I've never really been here before, in person, but it really is pretty impressive up close. And the gaping hole in the wall adds a sort of "back off, we've got firepower" charm to it. *a/n see ch 11 + 12* Uncle Dyl spotted it immediately, "Holy shit! What happened to the wall?" He yelled. Uncle Zayk had a grin on his face. He may have actually been blushing! "Unexpected guest." Daddy T said, a little sarcastically. This caused everyone but Dyl to burst out laughing on the front lawn. "What's so funny guy's? Come on, don't hold out on me!" He whined. "Babe, that's the scene of one of the most epic battles in the history of the universe. I mean, Toby and I were trying to kill eachother, and if we weren't all powerful the repair bill would be insane, but he conjured Poseidon's Trident for fuck's sake! Classic!" Zayk says, in what was probably the nicest thing he's said. Ever. He did have a kind of 'far away' look in his eyes. It was Daddy T's turn to blush. "Don't forget who's undefeated, demon boy. I think it's 3 - 0, right? I think I might have to give you another chance..." Daddy T shot back. I think there may be some kind of weird attraction there. Just saying. "Anytime, "Boys, boys, we can all stand out here flirting for days, or we can all go inside our new home!" Kory ungraciously proclaims. Gotta admit, it worked. We all went inside, and it was infinitely more impressive than it looks outside. I know all about this place and where everything is. I know about the smoking room, and the library, and even the recording studio my Dads made. I've watched it for many earth years. I know, I know, it doesn't seem like a long time when you're hundreds of thousands of years old, but seeing my Dads fall in love here makes it special. It's amazing to be a part of it. Sorry, getting all soppy. "Holy crap!" Uncle Dyl and Kory say at once. They're definitely related. Both my Dads start giggling, while Uncle Zayk is trying not to smile. Then Dad Ax remembered something. "Shit, babe, what about the dragons? How will they know where to find us?" He cried. "Poor Seto is just a baby!" Dad just looked at him in shock. I knew this would be good. He said in a dry, sarcastic tone, "Fuck. Whatever are we going to do. It's not like they live in the clouds or anything." Then he put his hand in the air and we heard what sounded like thunder in the distance. Three dragons formed in the sky and fly in through the hole in the wall. The green one, obviously Smerg and Seto, the blue and white one, came right up to me and started sniffing and sparking a little. I think that means they like me. The red one goes up to Kory and they start sniffing eachother. Kory starts to growl a little. He's Uncle Dyl's son, of course he's gonna have some wolf-like traits. They eventually start playing around on the floor. And he say's I'm the immature one. It was then that the 'adults' started getting curious. I mean, I told them all would be explained once we got home, but I was expecting them to all miraculously remember everything they'd forgotten once they saw the house. It's how the cycle usually goes. But, regardless, this is the only location in the entire universe where the details about our parents can be explained fully, because it is protected. It is, in essence, the only place in all of creation where the four boys that make up four seperate parts of the most intense concentration of power ever seen in existence can be together without causing the annihilation of everything else around them. Hence the near total destruction of Stockholm. So, hopefully the reason they had to be here, right no, is apparent to you. You're welcome. Sorry, moved a bit close to being an arrogant ass. I mean, I may be an 'extra-terrestrial', so far as your definition of a 'terrestrial' being goes, but I recognize when I'm being needlessly sarcastic and condescending. My apologies. So, we discussed these things at length, which was an experience, I must say. Neither of us are used to explained this to our Dads. Neither of them are used to having a twin set of hyper-intelligent 13 year olds, who proclaim to be their respective cosmic progeny, attempt to explain the vastness of what they thought was their mortal and human existence to them. If that doesn't make sense to you, you're on the right to track to being able to figure it out. I don't think it's meant to make sense, until you've lived through it and can speak from experience. At least, that's what Dad T said once. So, when we were done, the Dads decided they were hungry. And very thirsty. I don't know how you humans consume all that alcohol. Your studies show that Australians, alone, consume over 76 million litres a year! I mean, for the love of creation, when will you learn?* Anyways, my bad, you're still growing as a species. You've got so far to go, you just have to realize it and grab onto it. I shouldn't be too critical, you should see me when I'm not human. All I can do is sit and watch and wait. And I can't really do anything else. Or be anything else. Or be anything at all. Purgatory is a difficult place to be, you never really, actually exist. I mean, that's hard, but we've both got our Dads, and they keep us sane. Better than some. This is getting really complicated now, I should leave some things secret. So, all of the Dads sat down to eat magically conjured lobster and spaghetti bolognese, it seemed they had certain 'cravings'. They usually happen during birth, right? Not hundreds of thousands of years later. Meh, humans. You never cease to amaze. Anyways, Dad A realized that they hadn't completed their album yet, and Uncle Dyl started begging to be on it. So we had an ipromptu 'audition' for Uncle D. He was spectacular. He always was the 'power sponge'. It never really shows itself until he needs it, but if he survives the first apocalyptic incident he tends to exhibit a greater level of power than before, kind of becoming the balance between the other three. As I said, complicated. Anyways, his voice was sublime and he was one of the best drummers Dad T had ever seen. So, we all got to work writing a series of songs to include Unce D. When I say we, I mean my Dads and myself. Kory and Uncle Zayk aren't really the creative types. We ended up finishing a couple of new songs, and recorded the first taping of them, before everyone got hungry. We feasted on roast beef and baked vegetables, a welcome change from lobster and chocolate, apparently. I have no idea what a "lobster" is, let alone what it tasted like, but Uncle D and my Dads were all agreeing, so I went along with it. When in Rome, right? I'm glad we decided to eat, because it's gonna be a stressful day tomorrow. They'll all finally find out what happened to them in the past, and where it all went wrong. It's a bit risky to just tell them these things, what with it being a self-fulfilling prophecy kinda thing and all, but they've never been this close to succeeding with their missions. Every little bit will help. Trust me. We finished the day in the smoking room, all of us getting nice and toasted. The Dads were shocked to find out that we smoke dope. So were we, but it just kinda happened when we smelled the aroma. I mean, marijuana is a uniquely Earth plant, but there's usually something similar in most intergalactic cultures. It is kind of a way to connect to the divine force that keeps the universe flowing. Or something. Once we were done there, Kory and I decided to watch 'TV', the human communications and entertainment device. Kory sort of got hooked instantly. It probably wasn't a good idea to subject non-humans to such a human way of passing the time, it could mess with their psyches a bit. Or maybe that's just Kory. The Dads said they were going to bed, and I felt like I could sleep too, so Daddy T showed me to Kory and my room. I had to giggle a bit, because it had seperate beds. I guess we could always use a spare. I don't know how long it took for me to go to sleep, I'm not used to switching me brain to stand-by mode. My last thoughts before sleep took me were "I hope I can explain to the Dads before it's too late. They might then be able to handle it" It's gonna be a big day for all of us. --- *Ok, Kody has some strong views about alcohol. He does not represent me in any way. He is the other part of me that wants to get his words into my story. He is probably the angel to my devil. Or vice versa. No one can ever really tell. Anyways, I'll have a talk to him. =P But, seriously, I didn't really write this chapter. I typed it, and thought of the words to go into it, but the character I created, Kody, really wrote this. I kinda feel like J.K. Rowling. I'm incredibly proud of this story, and this chapter in particular. I feel as if I've created something that can be enjoyed and shared and loved. Yet, I must say, that it will end in 3 chapters. Chapter 33 will be the last, and I promise that it will be absolutely fucking epic. This chapter can be perceived in one of three ways. It is either the pinnacle before my eventual decline into madness, the evidence of said decline into madness, or proof that I may actually be a genius, and have overcome and embraced my own madness. I prefer the latter, but it is really your choice. Tack för läser Addisyn.
