Mason and Isabella broke up, Megan and Jordan broke up, Jessie and Lizzie broke up, Emma and Lizzie are somewhat dating but not, Daniel has been talking to the guy he met at the party, my love life hasn't changed though. "Hey you." Emma said as she came up to me at the library. "Hey." "You alright?" "Yeah. Just thinking about stuff." "Are you mad at me?" I turned and looked at her, confused. "Why would I be mad at you?" "Well...Jessie doesn't hang around us anymore so I was wondering if you all would hate me for `replacing' her." "It is your fault Jessie is upset with all of us, but it's her fault for leaving. It's like you're forcing her to stay away from us." Emma let out a sigh of relief. "I think Macy is kinda upset with me. I could tell she and Jessie were pretty close." "They were, but Macy will get over it. I think she's mostly upset that Jessie is ignoring her too." "What's even worse than me feeling like you all hate me is that I'm not even sure that I want to be with Lizzie. We've been like, hanging out and stuff, but I can tell she really isn't my type though." "I don't think Lizzie will care that much. You saw how easily she got over Jessie." "So...what are you doing?" She finally sat down. "I'm doing a little more research for my project." "Aren't you doing that with Mason?" "Yeah, he-" "Hi Emma." Mason said coming back with more books. "Hi Mason." "How are you." "I'm good. I was just about to leave though." Emma got up. "That's a bummer. Well, I guess I'll see you around then." Emma then left me and Mason alone. "Is she okay?" "She's just freaking out about everything with Lizzie." "That's understandable." We each went back to looking through the books. Mason and I had most of it done, but we found some holes in our essay that we were wanting to fill in with some other things. Mason looked back up at me. "You never told me how things are going with Daniel." "We're just friends. He actually has a boyfriend now." "I'm sorry. I could tell you really liked him." I could've made a move on him right then and just said "Really? Well I could tell that you really like me." But no. I said, "It's okay. He's happy and that's all I want for him. She's better than Hannah anyways." "You've talked to him?!" Mason sounded shocked. "A little. He really hasn't hung out with us. I don't think he likes me." "I don't see how. Everyone should love you." Yet again I could have made a move. But I didn't. "I know. Maybe there's like a force field keeping him away." Mason laughed. "Before we end up running all over the library like we've done many times before, we need to finish this research." "I never thought I'd see the day when a jock wants to do research." "Well I'm one of a kind." "You sure are." I said sarcastically. Mason was about to say something, but he changed his mind and went back to reading. We were actually able to find the information we were looking for. All we had to do now was finish typing the essay and have Mason's uncle print it off for us. We would have probably finished early, but today Mason was glued to his phone. He sent and received at least ten texts a minute; it was crazy. We left the library and headed out towards Mason's car. Mason nearly missed his car though, mainly because of his obsessive texting. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ -Mason's perspective- Today is the day. Tyler and I have been talking about what happened at the party and neither of us is sure what we want to do. He told me that he was just horny and that's the only reason he tried something, but he also said that after he thought about it he would like to see if we could have a relationship. I told him I was interested in another person, no name though, but I should move on and try a relationship with a guy. We also decided that we would wait exactly one week before we decided if we should date or not and what exactly we would do. Taking Spencer home, I was quiet most of the time. I had texted Tyler right before I started to drive and told him that I wanted to be with him. I felt my phone vibrate not even a second after I started to drive; he had texted me back. Being the safe driver I am though, I'd have to wait 'til I stopped for good; stoplights are too short to text. I was sitting there the whole time thinking about what Tyler said in return and whether I would like the answer or not, so I basically ignored Spencer, which I regret. "Thanks for the ride." Spencer said as he got out of my car. "You're welcome. I'll be by on Wednesday so we can go to my uncle's. I know you probably don't want to go but he thinks I'm an idiotic, bullying jock and if he sees your smart butt with me he'll know that I didn't steal it." Spencer pouted a little. "Fine. But if I have to play football or something else with any relative while you and your uncle are working on the paper and printing it out, I WILL be upset." He is so cute when he gets an attitude. I couldn't help but laugh. "I'll tell them you sprained your wrist last week while playing with me so you can't play with them." He then smiled. "Thanks. See ya Wednesday!" He then ran inside. I waited a little while;, lately Ms. McAlister will come out and talk to me for a bit. She keeps bringing up the McAlister-Glover Dinner, which happened to be this weekend. I tell her that I'm excited and I can't wait. She again asks me if I want to come in and instead of saying yes this time, I graciously say that I have plans and it's impossible for me to stay as long as I want to. She smiles, thanks me for being Spencer's friend, and heads back inside. I checked my phone real quick to see if I actually do have plans; I had to tell Ms. McAlister I had plans because if Tyler said yes, I actually would, and if Tyler said no, she'd know I was sad about something and Spencer would end up finding out. I'm going to tell him soon, when I finally have the guts to come out to him. It's just that I want to see where things will go without anyone else putting their two cents in; absolutely no one knows about me and Tyler. Now back to what I was talking about. Tyler had texted me and told me that he would like to be boyfriend/boyfriend and that he wanted our first date to be tonight. He texted me his address and told me exactly when to pick him up. He kinda reminded me of Izzy in that way, but Tyler is a little OCD about things while Izzy is just a bitch and wants everything to go her way. I quickly texted him back and then pulled out of Spencer's driveway. I didn't have long 'til it was time for my first actual date. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ -Emma's perspective- After leaving the library, feeling like a complete fool for...well...everything, I tried calling Macy to see if she was doing anything. Like always, she didn't answer. I then called Daniel. "Hello?" He said. "Hey. It's Emma." "Oh! Hey Emma-Bear! Watcha doin?" "Nothing. I'm just...stressed." "Aww, what's wrong?" Daniel and I had recently become closer friends. Don't get me wrong, I love Macy, Lizzie, Kurt, and Spencer, But Daniel and I have a more special friendship. "I don't really want to talk about it over the phone. Is there any way I could talk to you in person?" I heard a voice in the background. "Yeah. I'm with Kasey though. I hope you don't mind that." Kasey is Daniel's new boy-toy. He and I were acquaintances before I became close friends with my new friends. "Sure. Where are you guys at?" "We're at his house right now but we were legit about to leave for the mall." I heard Kasey say "We were?" in the background. Normally I would have declined, but I really needed someone to talk to immediately. "Ok. I'll meet you guys there. Thanks Daniel." "Anytime Ems." ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ "So, what's up?" Daniel said as I approached him and Kasey sitting at a table in the food court. I take back what I said about him at the party, Kasey is fucking gorgeous. He has dirty blond hair, gray eyes, and a nice body. He used to be a gymnast and is now a cheerleader and a dancer. I know he sounds like he'd be a flamer, but if he didn't tell you he was gay, you'd swear up and down he was straight. "It's Lizzie. I basically fucked up her relationship with Jessie and now I don't think I want to be with her." "Ouch. Maybe you should have not kissed her and just talked." "She was so drunk and high that there was no way I could've talked to her. She forgot everything about that night except for the kiss she gave me and the slap Jessie gave her." I was also slapped but I left that out the next day when Lizzie and I were explaining what happened the day after. "Anyways she went in for the kiss, I didn't want it. It was just, so hard to not kiss her at that very moment." "Why don't you want to be with her?" Kasey asked. I really didn't want him to join in on my therapy session, but I guess I have no choice. "She's no different around me. When she was dating Jessie, she was so sweet to her and so loving. This past week when we've been alone, she doesn't cuddle up to me; she acts as though we're still friends." "Maybe you should tell her that you want what she had with Jessie." Kasey said. "I was thinking about that. But then I thought `What if the only reason Lizzie was like that was because Jessie made her act that way.' Lizzie did say that Jessie was controlling." "I can see what you're talking about. But if you want to have a relationship, you need to both sit down and say what you want." Daniel said. "It's better to know what you're getting into than figuring out later on down the road." "That's what Daniel and I did. And look, so far we're doing great." Kasey said. They both smiled at each other. "Thanks. I actually feel a little better. I can't confront her right now 'cause I'm still...messed up I guess." "That's cool. You can hang with us." Kasey said. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ -Spencer's perspective- When I walked in my house, I was shocked to see Macy sitting in the living room with my mom. Mom, with her basset hound hearing and cheetah speed, excused herself and headed out the door to talk to Mason. "So...why are you here?" I asked as I sat down next to Macy. "Fight with my parents." "About?" "It's embarrassing, but I guess I can tell you." "What is it?" "Max found out about what I did at the party and he flipped. My dad and mom heard him yelling at me about having sex with three other people and they came in and started yelling at me as well. I couldn't take it so I started yelling back. My dad said that since I'm such a big girl now, why don't I move out. I know he wasn't serious, but I told him that I would do that then, so I left. I've been here for about an hour and your mom has been helping me deal with it." "Have your parents even tried calling you?" "Oh yeah. But my phone is on silent so your mom doesn't know. She'd be all `Answer it! Answer it!'" I couldn't help but laugh because Macy's impression of my mom was dead on. My mom finally came back in. "I love that boy so much. Spencer, why don't you go out with him? He would make a great son-in-law." "He's straight, Mom." I knew he wasn't, but I didn't want to out him before he was ready for it. "That's a shame. Maybe you can end up with a guy somewhat like him. How old is his little brother again?" Macy started laughing so much she began to cry. "Mom! I'm not dating a ten year old!" That reminded me of joining karate. I had yet to do that and I've been out of the hospital for like...ever now. "Well when you're thirty, he'll be twenty-five. It won't be that awkward then." "But I want to date someone now, Mom. Someone who is not prepubescent." "You kids these days...so picky." The conversation over me and my dating life ended shortly after that, my mom and Macy went back to discussing about what to do about Macy's problem. I got up and left them to discuss it because I felt a little awkward sitting there and listening to my mom and Macy talk about sex; they're both chicks and one of them is family so that makes it even worse. I went up to my room and got on my laptop. Like always, I had no new emails, nothing new was on facebook, and no new updates to anything else I check on my laptop. Right before I logged off Facebook, I saw a picture of Kasey with some other cheerleaders, and this other cute guy, at the Cheer Nationals last year in Kasey's profile picture, he was on my suggested friends list. I knew that Kasey and Daniel were somewhat dating, Kurt told me the other day when I was with him and Macy at the mall, Macy was wanting some new clothes so she needed her boyfriend and her one-hundred percent gay friend, so I decided to check him out a bit, I didn't really know who he was, I just knew he is a cheerleader and his name is Kasey. I clicked on his profile and looked through his pics. May I say, Kasey is gorgeous. He puts me to s hame and makes me wonder what the hell he saw in me when he could get someone as hot as Kasey. I then looked through some of his posts, only to see what he was like, and he seemed well-rounded, smart, funny, adorable...everything someone like Daniel deserves. I logged off Facebook and face planted on my bed. "You spyin' on some dude?" Megan asked as she stood in my doorway. "Why do you always do that?" I yelled into my pillow, which sounded like talking to everyone besides me. "Do what?" She sat down on my bed. "Appear at my door at weird times." "Because I'm your sister and it's my job to come by in times to ruin your life." "Ha, ha. Fuck off." Megan leaned down and hugged me. "So, tell me about that cute guy you were stalking." "His name is Kasey and he and Daniel are dating." "I thought you and Daniel were a thing." "I thought we were almost a thing too. I guess I was wrong." "You're always wrong, little dude. Get used to it." "Fuck off." Megan laughed at me. "I love you." She then got off my bed and left. It was good to have Megan there for me like she has been. I know I usually end up getting pissed at her, but she does help me in some strange way. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The next day, I walked into the cafeteria and saw only Macy, Lizzie, and Kurt at the breakfast table. Daniel and Emma were sitting at a table with Kasey and some of Emma's popular friends. Jessie was...well...Jessie hates all of us and I really haven't seen her except for in class. "What's happening to us?" I asked. "The party." Macy said. "I don't know why y'all are so messed up. I'm perfectly fine." Lizzie said. "Same here." Kurt said. "My parents hate me, Emma is confused as fuck, Daniel is in puppy love, Jessie hates all of us for something only you and Emma did, both Megan and Mason were cheated on, and Spencer lost the guy he loves." Macy said. "How the fuck could we be happy about the party?" Macy ended up going home last night. She texted me and was crying, her parents, especially her dad, are making her life a living hell now. "Damn, you on your period or somethin'?" Lizzie asked. Kurt had to keep himself from laughing at Lizzie. "Are you ever serious or is your whole life a fucking joke?" Macy asked. "What the fuck?" "I just wish that you'd actually be a real person and have emotions instead of sitting there and acting like shit doesn't matter to you. Maybe you should lay off all the drugs and shit you do." Macy got up and left. Kurt got up to follow her, Lizzie motioned for him to sit down. Lizzie sighed. "I'll talk to her. It's my fault she's pissed." She got up and went after Macy. "Dude, remind me to never go to another party." "Trust me, I will." We both laughed. It then became silent. Kurt and I haven't been alone together in a very long time. Ever since the beginning of the year, it's always been a huge group of us or two, who are very close, hanging out together. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ -Mason's perspective- I was standing outside the school, waiting for Tyler so we could head toward the football field. Last night was probably one of my favorite nights. Tyler and I went to this sit-down restaurant two towns away where no one there knew us. We were able to goof around and flirt without apprehensions. There were a few people there who didn't like the "loud faggots over there," but Tyler and I ignored them and went on with our date. After dinner, we went back to his place, he lives with his oldest sister who is in college, and watched a movie together, his sister wasn't there. I did go home after that so there was no funny business. He wanted me to stay but I didn't think it was a good idea this soon in the relationship. "Hey!" Tyler said. He had his football bag slung over his shoulder. "Hey." Tyler looked around to make sure no one was there, and then leaned in and kissed me on the cheek. "I wish you would've stayed the night. I just wanted to lie with you, no sex whatsoever." "I'm sorry. Maybe next time?" "So you want to go out again?" Tyler asked smiling, we began to head toward the field. "Well obviously. I had a lot of fun last night." "Me too." We arrived to the field; no one was out so we headed into the locker room to get ready. Jordan and a few others were in there. Tyler and I ignored him and those who were with him. We headed out to the field this time to find coach and Canyon standing close toward midfield. We jogged over to them to see what we'd be doing that day. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ After practice, Tyler and I showered, changed, and went to go find Lily and Megan, who were staying after to study for a test they have the next day. Normally we would go our separate ways and I would go home, but today I was taking Megan home because she needed a ride and I was going to take Spencer over to my Uncle's. "So, watcha doin' with Megan?" Tyler asked. "I'm taking her home and then going to finish my essay project with Spencer." "Will you be free later on?" Tyler asked. "I might. I may just spend the day with Spencer. It's been a while since I've hung out with him." "Oh. Well, don't cheat on me." I was hoping he could lean in for a kiss, but Lily and Megan stepped out of the school as soon as Tyler finished saying that. "I won't, even though you're technically already doing it." "Doing what?" Lily asked as Tyler wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in for a kiss. "We were just talking about practice." Tyler said. "We learned a new play today and he's accusing me of trying it without warning him." "You need to communicate, babe." Lily said. She then turned towards me. "He's like that with me too." "Well, I really need to get going. I'm sure Spencer is waiting for me to pick him up. I'll see you guys later?" "Definitely. When are you all free?" Lily asked. "Umm...I'll have to get back to you on that. Friday my family is going over to Megan's for dinner because her mom has been insisting on it forever now." Megan laughed. "It's all she talks about. She wants me and Spencer to find guys like you, she asked Spencer why you two weren't dating one day. He had to explain that you were straight. So if she apologizes to you when we get to my place, you'll know why." Both Lily and Megan couldn't help but laugh. I, on the other hand, was nervous as fuck because there was now a little pressure and Tyler couldn't laugh because what Megan had said was reregistering in his brain. "See ya." Lily said as she dragged Tyler off towards her car. "Sorry if I embarrassed you a little." Megan said as we walked towards my car. "I just had to say that." "It's cool. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be with Spencer." "You're gay?" Megan asked. "If you are you have to let me tell Isabitchzilla that she turned you gay. That reminds me, I need to beat the shit out of her." This time I laughed. "No, I'm not gay. But I do give you permission to beat the shit out of her. Make sure I'm there to watch. I'm sure Lizzie will be there cheering you on since she gave Izzy a shiner that one time." "I can take her on my own. She's a weak bitch." We got into my car once we reached it and I took her home. Just like Megan said, Ms. McAlister came out and apologized, she wouldn't tell me for what though. Spencer soon came out and got in my car. He looked around suspiciously. "What's wrong?" I asked him. "Well, last time I saw you, you were glued to your phone and today you aren't. I'm just making sure your mystery texter isn't like in the back seat or something." He then smiled. "He's not. And I'm sorry about that. It was about the party and shit." "Oh. Ok. That's excusable." He said. "Remember, I'm not playing football or any sport while I'm at your Uncle's." "Fine. But I don't think you'll have anything to worry about." "Why's that?" "You'll see." The ride over there was full of conversation about the upcoming dinner. Spencer seemed as happy about it as him mom was, which made me smile. He also updated me about Kasey, Daniel's boyfriend. I know Kasey personally, he's pretty cool. Spencer was calling him, and I quote, a "boyfriend stealing whore" when I'm sure Kasey had no idea about Spencer and Daniel. I tried explaining that it was Daniel who was doing wrong, Spencer acknowledged that Daniel was to blame, but he also said that Kasey was a part of it to. I gave up after a while and he switched topics. My uncle lives about 30 minutes from town, but for some reason, both my cousins go to my school even though there is a school much closer in the opposite direction. My uncle also lives in the country somewhat: the houses are pretty far apart but they're not like miles apart, he also has a huge-ass yard. "We're here." I said as I pulled up the driveway. "Wow. I like your uncle's house. It's huge." I mumbled under my breath. "That's not the only thing that's huge." "What?" "Nothing. I said nothing." He smiled and rolled his eyes. "Whatever you say." We got out of my car and went up to the door. Sparky, their golden retriever, was napping on the swing. "Sam! Me and Spencer are here!" I said as I opened the door. My uncle Sam came walking in from the back door. "Well it's nice to meet you Spencer, I'm Mason's uncle Sam." He stuck his hand out and shook my uncle's hand. "Brennan is out back shootin' some hoops, you should go back there while Mase and I work on printin' this here essay off." "I don't play sports." Spencer said. Sam laughed. "Neither does Brennan. Just go back there and you'll see what I mean." Spencer gave me this pissed off look and headed out back. "He's pretty cute. You and him datin'?" First off, my uncle isn't gay. He knows that I'm bi and he's very accepting, mainly because Brennan happens to be gay. "No. He's just a friend." "You can keep foolin' yourself, bud, but I know you want him. Now come on, let's get to work. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ -Spencer's perspective- I was pissed at Mason for letting his uncle force me to play some sport I had no clue was—what kind of clue is "shooting hoops" anyway...it better not be something with a gun. I walked out and saw this kid around my age throwing a basketball towards the net and missing horribly, maybe that's shooting hoops. "Oh, hey." He said. "You're Spencer right?" He walked over to me and put his hand out for me to shake it. I know this kid! It's the kid from the cheer pic Kasey is in! Mason's cousin is a cheerleader! "Yeah. And you're Brennan?" He laughed. "I'm shocked you know who I am." "Same here." I sat down in a lawn chair near the back door. "Well, you're only the talk of the cheer team now. I mean, you were basically dating Daniel and Kasey swooped in and took him from you. Most of the girls and I are upset with him for doing that." "Thanks I guess." Normally I was far from being liked, mainly because before high school, no one knew who I was. Now that everyone knows I'm gay and I dated Trey, it's like I'm the king of gays at our school. "The only good thing about it is that you're single now." He said nonchalantly. "You really have no boundaries do you?" "I normally do, but...it's just...I think you're really cute." "You're cute too." I couldn't help but blush. "I know this is going to sound strange, but do you think we could like fake-date for a bit and see what happens? Kasey and I have been on and off and I know you and Daniel have basically been the same way, and I really want to show him that I've moved on and that he isn't in control of my life but I can't wait like however long it would take for us to actually develop feelings for each other." "Wow...umm...I guess we could fake-date." "You'd have to be okay with kissing in public. Is that okay?" "Yeah. I guess." "I think we should practice a little now." "Umm. Okay?" I was honestly shocked. Brennan was cute, not Kasey cute or Mason sexy, but he could get any guy in my opinion. He has medium-length brown hair with dirty blond highlights and he has hazel eyes. Right now he's wearing a white wife beater and basketball shorts, and it makes him even more attractive. Brennan leaned in and placed his lips on mine; I kissed back. His lips were warm and nice. At first I thought it was going to be a quick kiss; I think he thought the same thing, but we became so enticed in each other's lips that it soon became a nice, long make-out session. Brennan sat down in my lap, facing me obviously, and kept kissing me. My hands went to his sides and held him in place; my thumbs rubbed the outsides of his abs, which I loved. Brennan's hands went to my chest and he rubbed my nipples through my shirt. The hottest action though was out our mouths where we were now French kissing. What shocked me was that despite the heavy kissing, that's as far as Brennan was taking it. Most would think that would lead towards touching or something, but with us, it was just kissing and both of us were okay with that. Brennan's head quickly jerked up and my hands away from Brennan's waist when we heard someone clear his throat. Standing there was Brennan's dad. "I was just checkin' on y'all and wanted to see if you wanted anything to drink. It looks like you really need 'em considerin' y'all are havin' to suck each other's spit." Brennan's dad smiled and went back in. "Your dad is okay with his son making out with some stranger in this backyard?" "Well, you're the only guy I've kissed at my house. Kasey didn't like coming out here so we always went to his house. Oh! I wanted to tell you that I'm a virgin still and I'm not some kind of whore. It's just, you're lips are very intoxicating." "Same goes for you. I think we should get up and go get our drinks before your mom or sibling catches us next." Brennan got up and he put his hand out to help me up. "I think they'd do what Dad did. But come on, I think we should get to know each other a little better over a cup of lemonade and a cookie or two." I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. I expected him to let go, but he didn't. "Sounds like a date." Brennan smiled and the two of us went inside. This was definitely the last thing I expected to happen coming over to Mason's country uncle's house. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Every time I read a story of Nifty, I never read the top part, so just in case you are like me and only read the bottom portion if you liked the story, here is my email again: wah.stories@yahoo.com.
