I do not know who this Jones guy thinks he is but he is seriously making me upset and I hate the control he is having over me, "Fuck, I need to get ready for work" I spoke as I tossed off my boxers and shirt and went inside the bathroom. I turned on the shower and slipped in. Normally in the shower I would pleasure myself, but today I didn't have the time, another thing I blamed on Jones. After taking the quickest shower I ever had, I was in a mad rush to get my clothes on and get ready for work, when my phone rang. "Hello" I said out of breath as I feel on my bed with a thud trying to put my pants on. "What's up sugar lips?" Said the sweet voice on the other line "Nothing much Ashlann just getting ready for work, what's up chick?" I said as I buttoned up my shirt. "Oh nothing, just seeing how your Friday night went." She asked as I recalled all the moments of last night. "It was boring as usual, you know stayed around the house and did some stuff" was the awful excuse I gave. I knew she never bought my excuses, she has been my best friend since sixth grade, so I'm sure she could see right through me. "Well when you get off of work home slice I have someone I want you to meet." She said while beaming on the other end of the phone. My best friend Ashlann always takes it upon herself to set me up with guys, no matter how much I protest and whine, she says that I need to quit being so asexual and get over myself. I stopped arguing with her a long time ago and just gave in to her request, because sometimes it was easier and more entertaining to go on these dates than the hassle of saying no to her and dealing with a hurricane worse than Katrina. "Whatever Ashlann" I said while grabbing my keys "I got to go, I'm on my way off to work" "Okay babe, well call me when you get off work, I set up your date for 7:30 tonight!" She said with a happy squeal. "Whatever" I said, flipping my phone closed and slipping it in my pocket. I work at a bar, well technically in Kansas City you cannot operate a bar without having half the menu being food so I'm a waiter as well, I work at this rich, sports bar where I don't have to do much except for bate my eyes at the women who's lives are going no where stuck at home with their husbands limp dicks, and I can pay my rent. My boss Mr. Gash is the only reason I believe I have stayed as long as I have, let's just say that he is my gay "sensei" and gives me a lot of insight and help. "How are things going?" Mr. Gash said to me while pouring himself a stiff vodka tonic. He is usually drunk by the time I get into work, which warrants me pretty much access to do whatever I want. "Things are going okay" I replied "How are things are your end?" I asked as he took a good healthy gulp. "Things are grand, I am going away for the weekend to the islands" He said while adding a cherry to his drink. "Oh yeah? Looking for pool boy number two?" I asked him with a smirk. He replied with a toast of his cup and a wink, and walked back into the office. The afternoon shift was whining down and I knew that at any moment I would be cut, I would just have to wait for a couple of more tables to leave and my replacement to come in, so I leaned against the bar thinking about everything that had happened the night before. Sometimes I really wish I could escape my thoughts, I find myself thinking way too much, and I have also come to the realization that thinking can sometimes lead to more trouble than just forgetting about things. "Hello?" I spoke into the receiver of my phone. "Hey babe, so here is the deal, the date that I was setting up for you tonight is not going to work." Ashlann spoke. "Oh darn" I replied with a sigh "Turn that frown upside down little one, it's not going to work tonight because he has to do something... so I pushed it up to 4:30" She said "Well that is going to pose an issue because it's 4:15 now and I'm not off work" I said as I watched my last table get up and leave. "Yeah well good thing I am your friend, I set up the date at your restaurant!" she said with a squeal. "You did what?" I asked "yeah well you know I figured that you would be getting off work soon, and why not just make it easier by just having him show up?" she questioned. "I don't even have time to shower and change, why would I want to go on a date like this?" I said as I gathered the tip from my last table. "Stop thinking so much about everything and just go with the flow." She said as if she was reading my mind. "You know what, honestly I don't even understand why you have to-"I spoke as I heard the tiny bell above the door sound. Looking at the door in walked in the most beautiful boy I had ever seen in my life. I don't know if it was the bright day or what, but I swear there was a light shinning around him. "Hello?" I heard from my phone "Uh...yeah?" I said in a mumble "speechless?....you don't have to think me" Ashlann said with a snicker. "um..." was all I could muster "his name is Addison..." that's all I heard as I closed my phone and walked over to the door. "hi, how are you doing today?" I asked him "Good, very good..." He said back in a deep, but also airy voice. I had no complaints thus far. "Yes, well can I get you a table maybe?" I asked gathering a menu. I would guess that he looked at my name tag, because when I looked up from getting a menu he had a smile plastered across his face. "So I guess I am here to meet you?" He said while extended a hand. "Hi I'm Addison" "uh...Greyson" I spoke as I made contact with his supple, smooth creamy hand. I might have lingered a little too long, because it wasn't long before he laughed and pulled his hand back. "I'm sorry about that..." I am not very good at this. "Well from what Ashlann says I believe I should be the nervous one." He said with a grin. Check and check...this one could work out. "Shall we sit?" I asked him... Three baskets of French fries, and four beers later I was hooked on Addison like he was a new drug. We had hit it off and talked about mindless subjects. The greatest thing about him already is his sense of humor, I appreciate a guy who can make me smile and laugh. It was so good that we had even set a date for the upcoming weekend. I walked Addison to his car where he thanked me for a wonderful date and I also thanked him as well. "I would rather not make this awkward" He said to me as he leaned in and kissed me. "Well shucks...you really know how to make a gal feel special." I said with a slight giggle. Addison just laughed as he got into his car. After watching him back away and out the parking lot, I turned around and reached into my pocket for a cigarette and my phone. "Hey" I said "Hey! How did the date go?" Ashlann asked "It was really good, he is a really cool guy, he made me laugh and is very smart and sweet, and I would have to admit better than any of the other boys you have set me up with" I said "well...is there going to be a second date?" She asked with a hint of anticipation. "yeah he asked me to go out with him this weekend, I'm actually excited to go, and not think about..." I started "think about what?" Ashlann spoke Jones... I closed my cell phone and hung up on Ashlann for the second time today. I have gotten a lot of responses to the first chapter and I'm sorry if I have yet to get back to you, I have been really sick lately, but I will be getting back to anyone.
