Release me from the Past Ch2 By Idav09 Chapter 2 Jesse was awake early the next day. It was Friday and he had to go to his first day at his new school. He looked at the clock and saw that it was only 5:45am. His parents were still asleep. He had no idea when they'd gotten home the night before. He went into his bathroom, took a piss and a shower and brushed his teeth. Then he got dressed, took his backpack, iPod, cell phone and went downstairs to the kitchen grabbed an apple for breakfast and his keys. It was just 6:10am. He left the house and walked the long path to the gates and then started for school, looking around as he went to acquaint himself with this new place. Jesse got to school and it was crowded with loud kids talking, laughing and just being themselves. Jesse felt his heart accelerate and his body shaking with fear. He was very bad at relating to people and it just felt like they all were looking at him in a hostile way. Jesse got to the entry way and tried to be as invisible as he could be. He was there a good twenty minutes before the school day officially began, as he set off in search of the School office. He went up to the secretary's desk. She was a woman in her 40's, with wavy short grey hair. "Hello honey, what can I do for you?" Said the woman. "Good morning ma'am, my name is Jesse Miller; I'm starting school here today." Jesse said. "Oh ok, let me find your class schedule. You've already missed four days, young man." She said. "Yes, we are from Washington DC but my parents couldn't be here before because their company business" Jesse said. "Oh the Miller's company? Everyone has heard about them. So you are their son?" She asked cheerfully. Jesse blushed instantaneously at the mention of his parent's company. He replied almost in a whisper "Yes ma'am." "Well good luck at Harris High School honey. Here is your schedule. Just wait a sec while I get someone to help you find your first class." The woman said. A few minutes later, a boy came in to the office that took Jesse's breath away. He was around 6'2" tall with black hair and green eyes. Jesse almost screamed when he saw him. "Hello Mrs. Freedman, do you know if my new schedule is ready with the class changes?" The boy asked the secretary. "Oh good morning Andrew, yes here it is". Mrs. Freedman gave the boy a piece of paper. "Oh Andrew, could you do me a favor and take Jesse here to his class? This is his first day. I could call someone else but since you are here..." Andrew turned around in direction that the secretary had gestured. The boy was gorgeous, so little and cute. He had the loveliest icy blue eyes and he was blonde as a bonus. Jesse stared at the floor, and said to himself "Oh God he is looking at me, please Jesse control yourself, don't shake, please don't let him notice how freaked out you are." "Of course Mrs. Freedman" Andrew said smiling. He walked over to the boy and said "Hi, I'm Andrew Wilson nice to meet you." Jesse raised his eyes a little bit, but still didn't look the other boy in the eye. "Hi..." He stammered "Jesse Miller, nice to meet you too." "Let me see your schedule" Andrew said holding out his hand. Jesse's hand was shaking as he handed Andrew the slip of paper. "Oh, you're a sophomore. Let me see...you have Math with Mr. Owen on the second floor. Come on, I'll take you there" Andrew said. "'Bye Mrs. Freedman. Thanks for fixing my schedule." Andrew waved to her as he left the office with Jesse following close behind him. "You're welcome Andrew, bye Jesse" Mrs. Freedman replied. Jesse walked behind Andrew with his head down, hugging his backpack to his chest. Andrew was happily talking about how it was a really big school and how Jesse needed to pay attention so he wouldn't get lost. Hearing no response from Jesse, he glanced over and saw that he wasn't there. He stopped walking and looked around to see that Jesse was behind him. "Hey... what's the matter Jess?" Jesse stopped and look up the boy. No one ever called him "Jess" before. His heart started to beat madly. "Oh... come on, don't be afraid. I know the school is big and it's hard to start in a new place, but you'll make friends very soon." Andrew's smiling face made the corner of Jesse's mouth curl up in what could almost be described as a smile. "Come on, the bell's going to ring any minute." Andrew put his arm around Jesse's shoulders and they bolted up the stairs to the second floor. As they neared the classroom door, Andrew looked over Jesse's schedule, and told him how to get to all of his classes. Wanting to spend more time with Jesse but knowing it was almost time for the bell to ring for the first class, Andrew said "Well, Mr. Owen is a good teacher; I had him last year. Oh... by the way I'm a junior but I'm sure I'll see you around." "Mmm... sure, thank you for your help" Jesse said, looking down and playing with a zipper on his backpack. "Ok, bye." Andrew said waving this hand as he turned to go. Jesse stood frozen by the door. He couldn't believe it. A totally hot boy had talked to him and he was really nice too. Now he was really glad he'd insisted on going to public school. The bell ringing snapped Jesse out of this trance. He sighed as he went into the classroom and found a seat all the way in the back corner. Andrew was just getting to his History class when the bell rang. His two best friends waved him over to where they'd saved him a seat. "Where the hell were you? You said you were just going to pick up your schedule. We ended up bringing your backpack here when you didn't come back" Mike, his long life friend asked in an angry tone. Michael Edwards was a 6'0" tall with brown hair and grey eyes. He was also 16. He was slim but with some muscles in the right places. "You have no idea what a cute boy I just met" Andrew told him with a dreamy look in his eyes. "So you were cheating on us, bitch?" Shawn, the third in the trio of friends said with mock outrage. Shawn Weir also had a nice build to his 16 year old body. He stood 6'1" tall and had blonde hair and brown eyes. Andrew laughed, "Hey, you two are the couple. I'm just the third wheel. Besides, I was just helping him find his class. He's new here." Andrew whispered as the teacher started the class. "Yeah, Drew, we may be the couple but that didn't stop you from messing around with us every time we invited you to get your rocks off" Mike replied with a big smile. "On come on Mike, that was just friends fooling around. I want a real partner too, like you guys" Andrew said in all seriousness. "Guys I think this is not the time and place to talk about it" Shawn said as Mike and Drew turned their heads to see a very mad Mrs. Gibson, their History's teacher. "Well, it seems Mr. Weir, Mr. Edwards and Mr. Wilson have just noticed they are in class. Have you finished your talk or do you want to continue it in detention after school?" Mrs. Gibson said to the boys with her hands on her waist. "Sorry Mrs. Gibson" All the three boys replied as Mrs. Gibson returned her attention to the board. The school day was normal for Jesse. He had been successful at being invisible in every class, and everything had gone pretty well. It wasn't until the bell rang for lunch that everything started to turn ugly for Jesse. The halls were swarming with other kids and Jesse lost track of where he was going. He was walking slowly, clutching his backpack to his chest and trying to make out the signs that were mounted up near the ceiling, when something like a rock hit him from behind making him fall down hard against the pack. He yelped from the impact and his body tensed up and went into the fetal position, automatically bracing for the worst. "What the hell are you doing worm? You're blocking traffic. Awww, is the widdle boy scared? Do you want your mommy and your teddy bear?" Jesse peered out over his arms and saw a big guy with brown hair and blue eyes dressed in a football jersey. He felt a fresh jolt of pain as the jock's foot connected with his stomach. The big guy attacking Jesse was with a group of other football jocks and cheerleaders. They all just laughed out loud at Jesse's misery and continued on their way. Jesse was crying and shaking uncontrollably. He pulled himself tighter into a ball on the floor and wished he could just disappear. No one stopped to help him as they went on their way. He slowly managed to get to his feet and made it to the nearest boy's room. Luckily, it was empty. He looked at himself in the mirror. He looked terrible. His face was all stained by his tears. There was a dull ache in his stomach. He lifted his t-shit and there was a big bruise starting to show up on his skin where the guy had kicked him and he had a cut on his left arm. He must have cut himself on the sharp edges of the backpack when he fell, he thought. Just then his gut wrenched in a way he knew all too well. He ran to the last stall, closed the door and emptied his stomach of all that was left of his morning apple. Tears were falling freely from his eyes as he slumped on the cold tile floor. A lot of things were going through his head. It was the same... just the same as it was at his old school. His mind was a blur. Maybe it would be better if he didn't even exist. He was so tired of his life, having to be the perfect son, the perfect student. He was sick of never having anything good happen. What were there to you to live for? Why he was born? He never asked to live. He didn't want to be alive. He just wanted to disappear. He just wanted the pain to stop. Maybe then he could be free. Why he had to be like that? There was no other way; he had to finish it all. He was shaking badly and his body was wracked with sobs. "Jess? Is that you?" Jesse cried out in surprise when he looked up and saw Andrew looking at him over the dividing partition. Jesse had been so lost in his misery that he didn't even notice anyone entering the boy's room. He realized that now Andrew knew just how pathetic he was. "What is the matter Jesse? Please open the door." A very panicked Andrew said as he went to the door of Jesse's stall. "Drew, you know this guy?" Mike asked as he and Shawn saw the concern on their friend's face. "Yes, its' the boy I took to his class this morning" Andrew said in a hurry. "What's the matter with him?" Shawn wanted to know what the problem was. "I don't know, he seems to be in pain for some reason." Andrew tried to open the door but it was obvious it was locked. "Jesse please open the door, if someone else comes in they might call a teacher." Andrew practically begged him. A minute later, they heard the click of the lock. Andrew went in and kneeled down next to Jesse and took the smaller boy in his strong arms. Jesse was surprised by Andrew's behavior but it felt so good to be in his arms that without thinking, he burrowed into Andrew's chest. "Hey Drew, lunch period is almost over. What should we do?" Mike asked concerned. "You guys go to class, I'm going to stay with Jesse." Andrew replied hugging the sobbing boy tightly. "You sure you'll be okay? Do you want us to stay too? Maybe we should call somebody." Shawn ventured. "Thanks, guys but no, I'll be fine" Andrew told his friends. Mike and Shawn got their things and left them in the bathroom. A couple of minutes later, the bell rang to announce the beginning of the next period. Andrew continued to hug Jesse until he started to calm down. "Jess, tell me what happened" Andrew said in a quiet voice. A minute later the younger boy sighed and said to him " I... I got lost and was looking up at the signs and there were so many people... when... when I noticed I was falling and those football jocks were making fun of me and this guy kicked me... I... I didn't know what to do... I just made it in here." The words seemed to tumble out of him between sobs. "Those fuckers always think they can push everyone else around." Andrew said through clenched teeth. "Just because they think they are hot shit. Hey... your arm...it's bleeding!" Andrew saw the cut on Jesse's left arm. "Oh, that's nothing. I got a lot worse than that at my old school." Jesse replied. "Come on... let's get out of here" Andrew said getting up from the floor and lifting Jesse with him. The younger boy grimaced and bent over a little with his good arm against his stomach. "Let me see" Andrew said as he lifted Jesse's t-shirt and saw the big purple spot on his belly. "Oh God, it looks bad" Andrew told Jesse looking directly in to his icy blue eyes, which were all red from crying. Jesse blushed and hurried to get his t-shit down saying "I'm... I'm fine". "Come on" Andrew held the boy's hand and got both backpacks and headed out to the parking lot. Jesse didn't know where they were going, and he was a little bewildered by how Andrew was acting.
