 Trent wrapped his around my shoulders from behind as we looked around to
see what else we could do here.

Apparently there was an annual carnival held in the outskirts of town &
Trent had invited me along with his other friends, who I could now safely
say, were my friends too. Brian & Ally had started going out, so Trent & I
were no longer the only people in our group who were in a relationship. It
wasn't a huge carnival; it didn't have a ferris wheel or big roller
coasters. But it did have smaller roller coasters, games, arcades, other
rides & a fun house. Brian, Ally, Rafik, Jason, Julie & Zack were with us.

"What do you wanna do?" he asked as he kissed me on the back of my neck.

"Wanna get wet?" I asked, eying a nearby water ride.

"Not with water," he laughed. I smiled & lightly slapped his arm.

"We could go to the fun house. It's full of mirrors & we can not only kiss
& make out, we could scare other people," I suggested.

"Haha. Well, I'm up for the kissing, but not so much the scaring," Trent
said.

"Ok. We'll see you guys later."

I took Trent's hand in mine & we went looking for the fun house. It wasn't
too hard to find, there was a big fucking sign that said FUN HOUSE right
above it not too far from where we were standing. We walked to it, went
inside & enjoyed the fast blinking lights, the patterns on the walls, floor
& ceiling made to make you dizzy & the hundreds of mirrors. Once I reached
to grab Trent so I could kiss him, but it was just a reflection.

We finally got a hold of each other. He wrapped his arms around my waist
while my arms snaked around his neck. I leaned forward & kissed him.

"So why'd you invite me again? I smiled at him.

"'Cause you're my boyfriend," he kissed me back.

"Yeah? And why am I your boyfriend?"

"You're strong, independent, you don't take shit from anybody & you're not
a fag. You're just a regular guy. Plus, you're like the hottest guy I've
ever met. And that certainly helps," he laughed.

"You're not so bad yourself," I chuckled.

Trent pulled me closer to him by the waist until we were up against each
other. He tilted his head slightly & pressed his soft warm lips to mine. I
returned the kiss as I felt his tongue tickle at my lips. I welcomed his
tongue into my mouth. I lowered my hands & then stuck them back up his
shirt around his back. I could feel his worked, chiseled muscles underneath
his skin, which was hot. I gripped his back & pulled him right into
me. Trent dropped his hands to the top of my ass, where he slid them just
down the waistband of my jeans, grabbing a butt cheek in each hand. He gave
a squeeze, making me shudder.

Suddenly, we heard laughter coming towards us. The only thing we changed
was Trent got his hands out of my pants & I removed my arms from around his
back. We continued to kiss though, not caring who saw us.

>From the reflections in the mirrors, it appeared that a family of four, a
son of about 11 & a daughter of maybe 8, had stumbled across this part of
the fun house. When they saw two teenage boys making out right in front of
them, the mother scoffed & the two parents led their kids back from where
they came. Trent & I snickered as our lips stayed locked.

"That was fucking AWESOME!" I yelled as Trent, Ally, Rafik & I exited the
water ride. It was just one of those
sit-in-the-seat-while-the-whole-car-slides-down-into-water rides, but it
was still awesome. The four of us were soaked in our clothes.

"Yeah. Listen, I'm going to the bathroom. I'll be back in a minute," Trent
said.

"We're going too," said Julie as she & Ally went to find the girls' room.

"I'm going again, you comin'?" Rafik asked me.

"Naw, I'm good. I already went three times," I laughed. He ran off to enter
the ride again. Zack & Brian were nearby trying to knock bottles down with
a ball. I was left standing by the exit, catching my breath.

"Rory!"

I turned around to see who was calling my name.

"Rory!"

I saw Caleb running up to me.

"Caleb, what are you doing here?"

"What are you talking about? Everybody comes to the annual carnival."

"Who are you here with?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well like, you must have come with friends, or maybe family right?"

"No, I'm by myself."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. Doesn't really matter though. I mean sometimes other people slow you
down, right? This way, I can what I want when I want."

"So you're all alone, at a carnival, with no one to hang with?" I asked,
still not believing this. Who goes to something like this alone?

"Yeah."

I let the wheels turn a bit in my head. I glanced over where Brian & Zack
were & then looked towards the bathrooms.

"I don't...I don't think it'd be such a big deal if I let you hang with
us. I'm here with Trent, Ally, Julie, Brian, Zack & Rafik."

"Are you sure? I don't wanna get in the way."

"Don't worry about it."

"Ok. Why are you all wet?" he asked.

"Water ride."

"Ohhh."

Just then, Trent came back.

"Hi Trent," Caleb said cheerfully.

"Hey," Trent replied flatly.

"So what's up?"

"What are you doing here?" Trent said, sounding irritated.

"You know everyone comes to the annual carnival, duh. I mean-"

"I meant HERE, with us."

"Oh. Well, Rory said I could join you guys since I don't have anyone to
chill with."

Trent flashed me an angry look.

"Why?"

I shrugged. "I thought he could use some company."

The others were walking back towards us now.

"Guys, you don't care if Caleb walks around with us for a bit, do you?" I
asked.

They all kind of glanced at each other.

"Well, see the thing we already kind of had a plan to do certain rides &
games & if you wanted to do something else, there's a chance it could mess
up our schedule," Rafik said to Caleb.

"Yeah, & plus, there's a new ride they have on the other side of the
park... & it only seats 7 people at a time. And we planned on going on it,
which means there'd be one left over," said Julie. There was no new ride.

Everybody looked at Caleb.

"Oh," he said after a second. "I see..."

"Sorry man," said Brian, putting his arm around Ally.

"Look, Caleb-" I started.

He held up his hand to stop me.

"It's ok, really. I came here alone & now I'm free to do what I want
again. Nothing's changed."

Trent put his arm around me.

"See ya Caleb," he said nicely.

Caleb looked at him for a second & then smiled at me.

"Bye Rory. See ya guys," he gave us a friendly farewell & walked away. I
watched as he put his hands into his pockets & melted into the bustling
crowd.

"Ugh," I heard Ally say.

"Finally," Julie said. She & Ally shared a laugh.

"You lied to him," I said to her.

She stopped laughing & gave me a funny look.

"What?"

"You lied to Caleb."

"Well yeah, we don't want him hanging around with us."

"Why not?"

"Because the kid's a loser," said Brian.

"Ok, but-"

"Rory, how many times have you told me you've blown him off?" Trent
said. "This is nothing different."

"Uh, yeah it IS different. This was a GROUP of people not 'blowing him
off', but completely lying & rejecting him. He was all alone tonight here,
where everybody comes apparently. I thought maybe he'd like to join us."

"Rory," Trent said, "what you need to understand is that Caleb is basically
a nobody. I mean the small number of friends he has I don't think even go
to our school & besides, once you get too friendly with him, he'll never
leave you the fuck alone. He follows people EVERYWHERE. Trust me, I know. I
was friends with him in elementary school & he was always RIGHT THERE. And
the same is with every other friends he's ever had. And then when that
friend decides he's had enough & chooses not to be friends with him
anymore, Caleb becomes a whiny baby looking for someone who actually
cares. I'm telling you Rory, if you get friendly with him, he'll never give
you any space."

"You won't have a good rep if you hang out with him," said Julie.

"Right, because I'm REALLY trying to keep up the great image I have
already," I said to her.

I saw Caleb far far away through the crowd of walking people. He was on a
cell phone.

"God, it's like you practically have a crush on the kid," Rafik blurted
out.

Trent gave me a NOW-I-get-it look.

"You LIKE him?" he said angrily.

"What?! I didn't say that at all!"

"Well it kinda explains why you're not understanding what we're trying to
warn you of, plus why you hang out with him so much," he with an accusatory
tone.

That surprised me.

"First of all, I don't 'hang out with him so much.' It's every now &
then. And how do you even know about us hanging out?"

"I don't like you being around him Rory," Trent said.

"Why not?"

"Because I'M your boyfriend & I don't need him getting attached to you with
the way he is."

"The 'way he is' is annoying as hell, but he's not a bad guy & of COURSE I
know I'm your boyfriend. Trent, I wouldn't wanna BE with anyone else but
you.

"Then prove it. Stop hanging out with Caleb."

I took Trent by the shoulders & pressed my lips to his. I gave him a very
long, very obvious, very passionate kiss. I ran my lips over his, slight
slapping noises as our lips moved.

"That's my proof. But I'm not gonna stop chilling with Caleb. He's...he's
my friend ok? If that upsets you, I'm sorry."

Trent shook his head like a parent shakes their head when the kid just
disappointed them. I knew that shake quite well.

"Look, let's just try to have fun for the rest of the night, ok?" I said,
not wanting to stay on this.

"I agree. Let's go to the fun house," Zack said.

I gave Trent a funny smile, knowing what could happen there. He cracked a
smile.

"Well, if you insist..."

I sighed to myself as I finished cumming.

I was laying in my bed with an XY magazine. I put the magazine away &
undressed for bed. I couldn't sleep on stress.

But stress-free didn't mean I forgot what happened. Why was Trent so
jealous of Caleb. I mean, yeah sure Caleb & I hung out, but that was it. I
didn't like him any more than a friend & as far as I knew, he felt the same
way. After all, he was an annoying little fucker.

I was meeting up with Trent tomorrow, so I had to make sure I didn't bring
up tonight. The best thing for now was to move on. For now, I just wanted
to focus on the present & not have any worries about anything. I wanted to
enjoy where & when I was.
