From: Gay Teen Stories Subject: Scott and Jeff Ch 6 (coming of age, teen) Date: Wed, 06 Jan 1999 06:21:59 GMT The Adventures of Scott and Jeff Chapter 6 When I woke, it definitely felt like a Monday. My dad had left out the fliers with a Post-It thanking me for putting them up. I hadn't told Scott about what happened after I'd paired off with Dave - I probably should've called him last night. So, when he came to pick me up he was slightly solemn, keeping conversation to a minimum. I'm not good in situations like that. I know I should say something but everything I think to say sounds fake and forced so I'd generally just shut up. He wasn't interested in distributing any fliers after school. I doubt he'd be in the mood to hear about my man-troubles. So our ride it to school was completely silent. His decision to leave the radio off seemed to be a method of enhancing the silence. When we arrived at school we parted without words. I nervously walked toward Ben and a group of his friends on the way to my locker. To my surprise, he nodded and smiled, I nodded back feeling quite uncomfortable. As I walked further down the hall I heard them laughing and talking and then Ben said, "No man, he's cool." Even though I claim that popularity is bullshit, I couldn't help but smile at Ben's approval of me to his buddies. My smile grew bigger and bigger and I just grinned uncontrollably as I stuffed my books in my locker. I sensed someone approaching. I turned and was shocked to find James standing there, staring right at me. "Hey, Jeff... You look happy for a Monday. Good weekend?" "It was alright, but the week just keeps getting better." He coughed and looked away sheepishly. "Hey, I was wondering if you understood the math lecture yesterday." "You have Yeager?" I must've sounded more than a little shocked. "Yeah, the class right before yours... I see you sometimes as I'm leaving." "Oh, of course." I had no recollection of this. "Yeah, I think I understand it pretty well." "Would you mind explaining it during home room?" "Wasn't it on integration?" "Uh, no... It was about factoring polynomial equations. Oh, that's right... you're smart, you're in advanced math... never mind." "Well, I can still probably help you." "You were probably doing this stuff freshman year... Can you still remember it?" Actually, it may have been in eighth grade. "Yeah, I can probably help. " "Shit, you are smart. I usually forget how to do it on the day after the test. Hell, I usually can't do it the day of the test." We both laughed, but I knew he wasn't kidding. "So, you're friends with Ben?" "W-What? W-Why-Why... uh, why do you say that?" "Didn't he say 'hi' to you back there?" "Oh... yes, he did. I did a story on him for the paper... That's all." "You work on the school newspaper? That must be a lot of work... It looks so professional. Is that a club? Or is it a class with a grade and everything?" I paused, wondering if he was just trying to make conversation or if he was actually that clueless. "No, no... It's a real class, with a grade... and everything. Well, we should probably get to home room and get started on those polynomials." His eyes twinkled and he grinned as he held the door for me. We sat on our stools at the table. His body was facing me, his legs spread open and his jeans fit his form nicely. He held his book in his hands just perfectly so that I could look just above the book's edge and get a clear view of his crotch. I actually think he looked his cutest with his confused expression. As far as intelligence, let's just say he was looking pretty damn cute the whole tutoring session. Before we realized it, home room was over and he still didn't understand what I was teaching him. Granted, my mind wasn't fully concentrating on the same subject. I started packing my bag and asked, "Did that help at all?" "A little, I think. You go even faster then the teacher does - but I understand you more." "Well, I know you can learn it. Everyone can learn everything." We moved out of the door. "What? You don't really believe that, do you?" "Yeah, totally! I think our minds are capable of so much more than we realize. Many times it's just the thought that you can't learn something that actually contributes to your inability to learn it. And that's why low self-esteem is so damaging and self-perpetuating." He stopped and stared at me, laughing to himself. "Dude, I didn't understand any of that. You went way over my head, I don't even know what self-perpetuating means." "Let me put it this way, YOU are the only thing that holds you back. They did this study where they brought in three teachers from a school and told them they were the best teachers in the district. Then they told them that they were given that the best students in the district. They told the teachers that they expected these children to perform much better than the other students. At the end of the year, they were right. The students had performed 30% better than any other classes in the district. Then the truth came out, there was nothing special about the students. They asked the teachers to explain the outstanding performance. The teachers said, 'It must be because we're such good teachers.' The administrators dropped the next bomb, the teachers had been randomly selected, they were no more qualified." "So, what was it then?" "The teachers had faith in the students, in psychology this is called of The Law of Expectations. Basically, if you believe something is true, your belief and your actions because of your belief may actually be the cause of it becoming true." "I still don't know if I follow." "For years, everyone always thought that girls were naturally bad at math. But, it's been proven that when given a fair chance, girls are not born any less qualified. It was just that the teachers didn't expect the girls to perform, and so they did not devote as much time as they did to the boys. The expectation of poorer performance was actually the cause of the poorer performance. That's why it is so important to surround yourself with people that expect a lot out of you and also why it's important to expect a lot out of yourself." We had reached the main staircase and my mouth just kept going. "When I was younger, I was always a part of the gifted programs. The kids who were in the program with me are now all in the top twenty of the class. I used to think 'Wow, those teachers sure knew how to pick the right kids!' But now I've started realizing that they didn't FIND the gifted students, they MADE the students gifted by treating them as being smarter and expecting more out of them." "But, I remember that some of those kids were smarter." "Most of the time, those kids came from homes where the parents expected a lot from them. So those kids had a head start believing they had the ability." "But my parents expected a lot for me, how come I'm not smart?" Uh oh, must approach with caution. "The teacher may have just passed you over -- they're only human, your parents may have expected a lot but not given you the right tools by teaching you the right study habits or giving you the right attitude towards failure... But, it all comes down to believing in yourself. And I know, that has to be one of the most overused cliches around, but few really understand the truth and depth to that statement." We came to the point where our paths split. "So, all I have to do is believe I'm going to get an A+ on a test and I will?" He smiled. "It doesn't work quite like that. If you believe that you can understand something, then you'll take the time you need to actually understand it. And once you get more used to not fighting your natural ability to understand, you have no limits! It's like with sports..." "Oh, good I'll understand this part!" he chuckled. "You aren't instantly good at sports. It takes time to learn all the things, but a good coach knows all the little things to teach that will end up making the most difference. The only way you can achieve the goals is if you actually believe they are attainable." "How do you know all this stuff?" "I've spent a lot of time examining my thoughts. Figuring out why I think what I do and the affect my thoughts have on who I am." "Wow... this is really pretty amazing stuff... why don't they ever teach stuff like this in school?" I laughed, "Good question!" "I've never met anyone who thinks as much as you do... you are really smart!" "No... that's actually a bad thing to say. You've just made my level of understanding unattainable to yourself by saying that. It's really not nearly as complex thinking as you seem to think it is. By thinking that it's some complex idea and you can never be as 'smart' as me, then every time a simple thought comes along that'll lead you in the right direction, you'll pass over it, waiting for 'the big revelation' that never comes. You walk a mile with short, single steps. Don't doubt yourself in ANYTHING. Doubt is the greatest enemy you'll ever face." "Wow, I guess I understand." James shook his head. "Dude, you're in highschool, you aren't supposed to be thinking about stuff like this yet! You're only supposed to be thinking of girls and sex and homework..." "Yeah... well, hey I've gotta go, I'm gonna be late for class." "Do you think I could get some more help from you sometime?" "Sure, absolutely!" Oops, did I sound too eager? "I can't today, but how about tomorrow after school?" That worked for him and we ran our separate ways. It wasn't till I sat down that I had time to laugh at myself. I just shared some of my philosophy of life with someone I really don't know very well, and yet he was such a captive audience. It kinda took my by surprise. The rest of my morning was good, I met up with Scott for lunch. He looked at me funny, "You're in a good mood, what's up?" "Oh, not a whole lot... I had an interesting chat with James." "James is interesting?" I chuckled, "Actually no, he's as dumb as a post." "I guess I don't get it then..." "That's ok, neither do I." Scott seemed a little put off that I was trying to avoid the topic. The chair next to me suddenly pulled out and I turned to see Lauri, a girl a barely know, sit down next to me. "So, I hear you and Ben are good friends." Once again, I tried to play down the relationship so I didn't look like a popularity leech. "I guess we're friends, I did that story on him for the paper." Scott and I exchanged our what-the-hell-is-going-on glances. "Well, anyway, I was wondering if he told you who he likes." Lauri rattled on at a hundred miles an hour. "No, sorry. It never came up." "Oh, well, can you ask him? But don't tell him I want to know or anything... because I'm just asking for my friend because she wants to know. But don't tell him that. But if he asks if I like him tell him yes... no, tell him that you don't know because it never came up... that's what you said about him liking me right? Was it that my name never came up or whether he liked me never came up? Cuz even if he just mentioned my name and made a comment, you'd tell me that wouldn't you? Cuz I want to know if my name came up not just if he likes me." "Your name never came up." "Are you sure? Is it possible that you just forgot?" I was getting a little agitated, "I'm very sure that I haven't forgotten anything he's said and I'm very sure that your name never came up." "You don't have to be so rude about it! Sheesh!" She stood to leave, "But you'll still ask him for me, won't you?" "No promises." Lauri huffed and walked away. Scott started laughing, "What the hell was that about? Since when has it been public knowledge that you and Ben are such great buds? Won't he be pissed that you're telling everyone that you two are friends?" "I didn't tell anyone. All he did was nod his head at me this morning and all of a sudden..." "All he did was nod his head??" "And he told his friends that I was cool." Scott sighed in disbelief, "Amazing the amount of power he has, isn't it? Where he can nod to someone and it significantly boosts their standing." "I don't know if you should say 'significantly'..." Scott looked back, in obvious disagreement. "This is just the start, someday you'll be the one nodding to me to boost my popularity." "Oh shut up, I would never do that!" "What? You wouldn't help me out?" "I meant, I wouldn't have left you behind in the first place." "Wait..." He paused and looked as though he were listening intently for something. "What is it?" "No no, quiet. Shh... I think I can actually hear your head expanding!" "Oh fuck you." "Well, you don't have too much farther to go before you get the act down." He held his index finger out and pressed it against his thumb. "Just this much more till you are an official asshole." "You're a dick, you know that?" "Ah! You've done it!" He made sounds of a roaring crowd. "It's official! You're an asshole! Congratulations!" He laughed to himself as I finished my food. Though he laughed, his pain was apparent. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * After school, I was at my locker getting the books I needed when Ben came over and rested his shoulder on the locker next to mine. I smiled and shook my head. "When did you decide to start talking to me in school?" "I heard the echos of my own shallow words that I said to you the other day and I felt like a cocksucker." He smiled and whispered, "No offense." "So you just couldn't stand the hypocrisy any longer and it forced you to nod to me?" "Actually, to be completely honest, when I nodded to you it was out of instinct. You're a friend, and I have a quirky habit of saying 'hi' to my friends. I didn't even think that anyone would notice." "Oh, they noticed! That Lauri bitch was hounding me at lunch today to find out who you like." "Oh brother." He rolled his eyes. I gasped and stared at his beautiful sarcastic face. My expression scrunched under the pain of love for someone you can never have. Where every minute you spend only causes more heartache. His eyes looked deep into mine and he whispered, "Jeff, stop it." I snapped out of my gaze and went back to my books. "Sorry." He grinned devilishly, "You wanna come over to my house?" "I have to put up some fliers at the university..." "After that?" "I'm free after that." "I can help you with the fliers, if that's ok." A little stunned, I replied, "Uh, sure. If you want." "I have to go to my locker, but I'll meet you by the front doors, k?" Ben walked away and nodded to Scott who was pushing his way over to me. "Hey, Jeff. Ready to go?" "Actually," how to put this gently, "I'm going over to Ben's after he helps me put up the fliers." Hmm, there were probably more tactful ways to do it! "Oh... Okay... I guess I'll see you -- whenever." He turned and walked away. I finished and went to meet up with Ben. On the way to the university I explained the fliers, although I didn't get into the money laundering part of the reason. Ben said he thought it would be cool to have a total stranger living with us. That maybe it'd be some hot girl that would set me straight. We went from building to building pinning the fliers to the bulletin boards. Mmm, college men are so much tastier than highschool boys! Ben seemed to know quite a few people around campus, I'm not sure how. After posting the final flier we got into his car and I asked the question I'd been thinking the whole time. "So, what did you want to do at your house?" He started driving. "I dunno, N64... or we could go swimming, we have a pool." "That sounds good, you wanna swing by my house for my swim trunks?" "You can borrow one of mine, but hell, it's fenced in and my parents have some big dinner thing they flew out of town for." My heart started to beat a little faster, "So, you're saying we go naked?" "Sure, why not? Haven't you ever been skinny dipping?" "No, I haven't." "Well then you have to! It's amazing how much better it feels without a suit." "It does sound fun." All I could think about was being able to see him naked, without worrying about getting caught looking... well, at least not really worried. "Great! Most of my friends are probably too prude to do it. They worry too much about what people might think if anyone knew there weren't any girls." "Really? It seems like they'd be more open-minded than that." I stated sarcastically. "But I figured you'd be okay with it." He smiled and winked as he pulled onto a long, single lane paved road that led us through a mini forest before we came upon a mammoth house at the end. We pulled into the fourth garage and he turned off the car. I didn't realize how rich this boy was! We stepped out onto an indoor/outdoor carpeting. "And it doesn't bother you to swim naked with a fag?" "What... you think I'm worried you're gonna butt-rape me?" He laughed, "Jeff, I'm bigger than you. Probably in more ways than just build." "I'll save you the suspense... you are bigger." "Oh, that's right, you've already seen me in the buff. But, you'll be naked soon enough. Heehee, I made a rhyme." As he walked up the stairs, he dropped the back of his pants to expose his perfectly formed ass just slightly below eye level. He turned and laughed at my stunned expression, "Besides, do you have any idea how much fun I'll have teasing you?" Oh God, is this heaven? He opened the door and we walked into a huge all-white kitchen with light hardwood floors. Skylights mounted on the large vaulted ceiling poured light into the kitchen and the adjoining room which was full of beautiful furniture and a baby grand sitting in a bay window. The back of the room was all glass which allowed a perfect view of the maticulously kept gardens, the shimmering blue pool and the deck with built-in hot tub. "Ben, your house is incredible!" "Have you ever heard of Microsoft's EasyLiving research project?" "No, why?" "Watch this. Computer, close the shades." After a quick, quiet chirp the blinds descended and covered the back wall of windows. "Computer, play some of my music." Another chirp and some Rusted Root seemed to come out of nowhere. "How does it know who you are to play your music?" "Voice recognition and image processing from the cameras there, there and there." He pointed to small round plastic shells with lenses in various parts of the room. "It'll track us throughout the house. Come here." He led me into the front sitting room and the music followed us to our new location. "Pretty cool, huh?" "I didn't know they made stuff like this!" We walked back. "There's been Smart Houses for a while, but none are as advanced as this. My dad's electronics company has been working with Microsoft to make the hardware for their project. As a part of the deal, we help beta test it. In the final version, the computer will actually be able to respond with a voice and it won't just beep at you. It can automatically prepare your shower to the temperature you like, at night it turns on lights for you as you walk through the house, you can do voice or video intercom to anywhere in the house, and it'll answer incoming calls and direct them to the phone nearest to the person being called." "You're kidding! Holy shit! I feel like I just stepped into the future. But I don't know... all those cameras would freak me out a little." "It never records, it just processes. And if I sound rehearsed, it's because I've heard my dad give so many demonstrations to potential business partners and stuff." "But still, it watches you. Even though it's just a computer... it's watching everything you do... it's kinda creepy. "Yeah, maybe a little. You get used to it though. Oh, watch this! Computer, enable hand commands." He held up his hand with a flat palm and then pointed at the window and made an upward motion. The computer beeped and the blinds pulled back up. "So, enough of that. Let's get swimming!" Ben pulled off his shirt and tossed it on the couch. I sighed in pain to see so much untouchable beauty standing right in front of me. "See, now it's ok to look at me like you did at school." He slowly pulled his belt out of the loops. My eyes traced the contours of his body. "Did you want to undo my pants?" He pulled his shoes off. "No, that's ok." "I'm not being condescending, I'm serious." He walked over to me, took my hand and placed it on his chest, letting it slide down to his wonderfully cut abs. "That's what you've been thinking about doing, isn't it?" I squeezed out, "Uh-huh." "Loosen up, there's no reason to be afraid of me." He left my hand on his stomach and unbuttoned my shirt and pulled it off. As soon as my arm was free again I put it right back on his stomach. "Go ahead, unbutton me." I looked into his eyes. "Jeff, this isn't a trick." He wore loose fitting jeans that hung low around his waist, his plaid boxers clearly visible along the top. My hand slid across his rippled six pack as I reached for his button, my other hand slipped under the waist band and steadied as I pulled the top of his pants open. I gulped. I took hold of the zipper head and positioned my hand so that it brushed his mound as I pulled it all the way down. His pants dropped to the floor and he stepped out and kicked them away. I put my hands on his hips and grabbed hold of the fabric and gently tugged down on his boxers. Once the waist band passed his cock, it bounced out from under the restraint and flopped around. I paused, just watching his flaccid penis. "Jeff, I didn't mean for you to take all day... I really only asked you if you wanted to unbutton me." "Sorry." He reached down and quickly pulled his boxers off and threw them on top of his pants. He pulled his socks off and said, "I guess I've always wondered what it'd be like to be touched be another guy... now I know." I smiled and said, "Well, not really. I never even touched it." He looked at me funny, "Jeff, I think there's been some miscommunication. I'm not planning on doing anything with you. You weren't thinking..." I lied, "No! No, not at all." "'Cuz you're dating my brother... and I'm straight." "No, of course." I paused, "So, how was it?" "How was what?" "Being touched by another guy." "I dunno, just like being touched by anyone I suppose. You know what I mean." He swayed slightly, letting his cock swing back and forth freely. I had a hard time keeping my eyes off of him, and he didn't seem to care at all, in fact it looked like he enjoyed the attention. Each time I made eye contact with him he just smiled at me, almost in an amazed curiousity over my infatuation with his body. I'm sure it probably didn't hurt his ego at all either. "You really want to touch it, don't you." "Oh God, yes." He laughed. My penis was almost fully erect by now, pressing uncomfortably into my jeans. I decided not to adjust it so I wouldn't draw attention to the fact that it was hard. I don't think he fully understood just what a gift he was giving me, to be only a little more than a foot away from someone with a body like his... it'd be like a straight man standing across from a nude Cindy Crawford. He patted my chest. "Well, are you going to finish undressing so we can get in the pool?" "Uh... yeah, hold on a second." "Jeff, I know you have a woody. You don't have to be embarrassed about it. Hurry up." I bent over and pulled off my shoes, undid my pants and pulled them off. While bent over, my eyes focused on his limp cock and followed his 'treasure trail' of hair back up to his magnificent abs. He sighed heavily, "Alright! Go ahead and touch it!" I looked up to check if he was serious, he showed no signs that he wasn't. "But just for a second... Just so you don't have to think about it anymore." I had on only my tented Calvin's and I reached over and paused right before I touched him. "Shit, Jeff... would you just touch it already!" I let my fingers slip down from the base to the tip, feeling the smoothness of his warm, tender skin. When I reached the head, I twirled my thumb in circles, enjoying the silkiness. "Alright," Ben pulled away, "your time's up. Now let's go swim." I pulled off my underwear and stood up. He made no efforts to conceal his interest in my erection. "You're really excited aren't you?" I think he meant his question rhetorically, but I answered anyway, "Oh yes. You have an incredible body." He walked over and opened the door to the patio, I followed. I felt strange about being naked outside, but Ben seemed as though this were an everyday occurance and judging from the lack of a tanline, it probably was. I sat at the edge of the pool, with my legs in the water. He disapproved, "No, you just have to go for it. Don't sit and try to get used to it!" He dove into the water and surfaced, shaking the water out of his hair. "It's perfect! Get it." I hopped into the water and he was right, it was perfect. As I moved, the sensation of the water was incredible as it circled around my hard cock. "Wow! This is great! I never realized how much a suit actually muffles sensation..." I didn't want to stop moving! The currents of water around my dick and in my ass crack were unbelievably intense. "I told you it's great." He disappeared under the water and I saw his refracted image swimming right towards me. He was floating along the bottom of the pool and he reached out and pulled my legs apart and swam through them. He surfaced not far behind me, blowing out water and pulling his hair back. The water line didn't allow me to see below his pecs with any clarity. "You know, you don't do a very good job of masking your thoughts. I know what you're thinking 90% of the time, just by your face." "Okay, what am I thinking now?" He laughed, "This..." He walked over and pulled my hands up onto his chest and he put his hands on the sides of my stomach. He cocked his head, as if trying to read some more of what I was thinking, "With a little of this..." he reached down and gripped my waning erection and pulled out on it. He let go and pushed himself away. "Is that about right?" I closed my eyes at his absence. "Just about perfect." "Oh, what'd I miss?" "This..." I moved toward him and clutched my hands around his torso and pulled his body next to mine. I ground my hips into him, my erection pressing into his abdomen. I leaned forward and touched my cheek to his. He pulled away, "Actually, I knew that part too, but that just ain't my bag. Besides, don't you feel the least bit guilty about any of this?" "A little, I guess." "'Cuz, if you were my boyfriend and I found out that you were messing around with my straight brother... I'd flip." "Oh, we weren't 'messing around' though, neither of us came. And, from what you said, you were interested in experimenting anyway. It's not a big deal." "I don't know. I'm just starting to feel a little weird about the whole thing, it's probably a good idea we don't mention this to Dave." "Of course not, Dave doesn't even know that you know he's gay..." He paused, then conceded, "Right, right. But you may not even want to mention that you were over here." "That may be a little extreme, he wouldn't to assume anything happened because I was over here..." "But still, I just think it's best if he didn't know anything." "Okay, you're the boss." He smiled as he splashed me. "That's what I like to hear." -- http://gts.netwhizz.nu/
