If it is illegal to read stories about homosexual relations between High School students in your town, county, state, country please leave. Thanks.

When Alex appeared in the courtroom, he knew he lost the battle from the start. Looking over his shoulder at the guard that escorted him and saw his serious look on his face. Alex looked around and saw no one here to help or support him, not that he was expecting it. I'm a runaway after all. I crossed 5 states to get here, so I'm sure that no one is gonna come looking for me. Alex's parents both died in a car accident and shortly after he became a ward of the state in Montana, he left to come here to San Francisco.

I have no family to look after me and I'm not going to another foster family that only wants me so they can get some money from the government. Alex thought to himself as he took a seat. After the judge came into the room, Alex looked at him and the judge looked back at him.

"Is there anything you would like to say young man?" The judge asked him.

"Only one thing sir, I am not going back to a foster home. No matter what you may do, I will run away again. You might as well put me in juvie cus I'm gonna keep escaping." Alex said as calmly and cold as he could.

"Well, at least your honest, but I'm not putting you in another foster home. Instead, I'm going to release you to the custody of you uncle." The judge said coolly.

"Wha- Who?" Alex asked confused?

That's when the prosecutor look to the man sitting next to him. The man stood up, "I gladly accept the custody of Alex. I also request that I am allowed to bring him beyond the state line to my house in Stars Hollow, Wyoming." The man asked.

"Of course, and Alex, if you give your uncle any trouble, I will put into your record that you are to be sent back to Montana where I am sure that they will take good care of you." The judge told Alex. "Now, I grant that you have nothing besides the clothes on your back and the money you made off of your prostitution."

"Yes sir." Alex answered

"I am also going to put in my brief that if you do remain a good kid like I know that you are, I will make sure that the prostitution charges against you are stricken from the record."

"Thank you sir." Alex said a little ashamed. Jeez, that's a relief. That is something I don't want following me around for the rest of my life. He thought to himself.

"The court releases Alex Tiner to the custody of James Tiner and grants Mr. Tiner full guardianship of Alex also." Siad the judge followed him pounding the gavel on his bench. "Court dismissed."

When the court was dismissed, Alex's uncle walked over to Alex and stuck out his hand. "Hi Alex, I'm your uncle."

Alex looked at him for a minute and shook his hand. "Hi... and thank you for taking me in."

"No problem. But lets get out of here, it's a bit stuffy in here."

"I know what you mean." Alex said with a laugh and the both of them left.

Once they got outside, Alex looked at his uncle and saw him put a cowboy hat on. They continued walking over to his uncle's car where his uncle stopped for a minute. "Here, I got you something, and I hope you like it." Alex's uncle opened the door to the car, leaned in and brought out a hat just like his.

"Wow, that's really cool!" Alex said as he put it on.

"Well, you're gonna need it where you'll be living."

"Where am I going to live?"

"On my ranch."

"Really?" Alex thought for a minute "What type of ranch?"

"The only type there is, one with sheep, horses, and such."

"Oh." Alex said, "I mean, well... I've always been around a city I don't think that I-"

"Trust me, you'll love it out here. It's really nice and we're close to Casper too."

"Ok, but are we gonna drive out there?" Alex asked a little apprehensively.

"Heck no! I may be from the country, but I do know what airplanes are." His uncle said with a laugh.

"Oh, ok." Alex said with a little relief.

Once they got in the car they continued to talk about Wyoming. Once they got to the airport however, his uncle looked at Alex. "Alex, I'm gonna ask you to follow one rule ok? Always tell me the truth and follow the laws."

"That's two." Alex said with a smile

"OK smart ass, lets get out of the car and get onto our flight."

"Ok." Alex said

The plane ride was a short one, but Alex slept the entire time. Meanwhile, his uncle was thinking about Alex and what he would do with him. He's got a good build so I think he can manage some heavy labor, damn he's a spitting image of his dad.

Standing at 5'11, and weighing 140lbs, he had the prime wrestlers build. He had coal black hair and had, like all Tiner males, piercing hazel eyes. He kept his hair a little shaggy, but nothing a comb wouldn't fix. He kept himself clean-shaven and looked like he was about 18, even though he was only 16.

The plane landed at the regional airport and Alex's uncle nudged him awake. "We're here."

"Oh, ok." Alex said a little sleeply.

The two got off the plane and were greeted immediately.

"Hey James, who do you got here? A new ranch hand?" The woman said laughing.

"No, this here is my nephew Alex. Alex, this here is my fiance Gina."

"Hi." Alex said as she came in for a hug.

"Let's get out of here and stop in town to get you some new clothes." Alex's uncle said.

"Um, you don't really..."

"Of course I do, `cides if I don't what are you gonna do? Wear those clothes all the time?"

"I guess that would be a bit dumb."

"Well, I guess it would." His uncle said with a chuckle. "Don't worry, I know a good place that sells sturdy clothes, and don't worry, I'll let you pick them out."

They walked out of the airport and walked through the parking lot to where his uncle's fiance parked. "You don't mind ridding in the back do you?"

"Well, only if you don't get into trouble, or for that matter, if I don't." Alex said

"Nah, kids do it out here all the time. Just as long as you don't do anything stupid, it'll all be good."

"Ok. If you say so." Alex said as he climbed into the truck bed.

Once they got into traveling, Alex just looked around and was amazed by the open scene. This is amazing. It's better then anything I could've though of. I wonder what made my uncle come and get me. I mean, I never thought I had an uncle let alone any family besides my parents. Then again, they never talked about much. Helena Montana was all they talked about. Ugh, this is confusing.

They arrived at the clothes store that his uncle was talking about. They went inside and picked out some work clothes that he would need along with clothes for school. They also let Alex pick out some stuff for his room. Once they were done, they left and headed for Stars Hollow.

Once they got to the ranch, it took another 10 minutes to get to the house. All Alex could see was land, sheep, horses, and wide open sky. It's breathtaking! He thought to himself. Once they puled up to the house, they all grabbed the bags containing Alex's new clothes and stuff. When they got inside Gina left for the kitchen and Alex's uncle showed him where his room was. When they got to Alex's room, his uncle sat dwon in the chair and Alex took a seat on the bed,

"Alex, do you mind me askin' you some questions?" His uncle asked

"Sure."

"If you don't feel comftorable asking, just tell me."

"Ok, what do you want to know?"

"Why did you leave your foster home and had to California?"

Alex thought for a minute, "Well, when my parents died, they didn't leave me with anything so the state sent me to a home where the people didn't care about me, so I ran away to San Francisco."

"OK, and what else?"

"Well, the thing is, um..."

"It's ok, you don't have to talk about it anymore."

"No, it's just that the night my parents died, I told them my secret. I told them that I was gay, and well, they died that night in an accident." As he was saying that, he started to break into uncontroable sobs,

"Alex," His uncle got up and sat next to him and gave him a hug. "It's ok, it's not your fault that they died.,."

"Yes it is. They were shocked and they said that they had to leave. They said that they had to go to town and..."

"Alex, did anyone tell you why they left?"

"No, but I think it was to get away from me."

"No no no... they left because it was a big shock. Anyway they got into an accident on the way back. In the accident report, your mom kept saying that she loved you no matter what."

With that, Alex broke down into even more sobs.

"I'm sorry," Alex said in between sobs "It's that, I'm sorry that I told them. If it wasn't for..."

"Now hush your mouth. It isn't your fault. They loved you just like I love you. I don't care if your gay or not, just like they didn't. They went to town because they sent me a package and a letter. In the letter they said that they suspected that you were. Besides, the reason why they sent me the letter was because, well... not because of that but because that they wanted to make amends with the rest of the family. You aren't origionally from Montana but from Wyoming."

"Really?"

"Yea. This here land belonged to our family for generations. Anywho, I know what happened in California, but you don't need to talk about it. I know that you sold your body for money, but that's in the past. Here you get a do over. A fresh start. Cides. Not many people here care if your gay or if your straight. The high school you'll be going o in a few weeks is cool when it comes to it. Yea, you might get a few hicks, but when it comes down to it, I'm pretty sure that you can take care of yourself."

They talked a little bit more and when it was dinner time, they all went down to dinner. Alex, still realing from what they were talking about, didn't eat much, but to the insistance of Gina, he ate. Once they were done with dinner, they all went up to the rooms and went to bed.

To be continued...

Authors note:

Ok, I know that this is a little choppy, but this is mainly an intro. Trust me when I say that it'll get better and in future chapters, there should be some more clarity. I also need your help too. I would like some input into my story. I love feedback, whether good or bad.
