Chase McPhee % "You're not Deg?" Alex Nouguet inquired, eyeing Jake up and down. Standing there in the portal of Diego's house, Jake had the same reaction, studying the dark, tossed hair atop Alex's head and for the sake of the sunglasses, "Who might I say is calling?" Removing the shades, Alex almost replies, Desi showing up at Jake's side, "Oh hi, Alex! Where's Justin?" Even though the Nouguet kid was about half Desi's age, he missed seeing him. "Back at the house," Alex's mind still lingered over Jake. It was on the tip of his tongue, asking Desi before he ran next door, "When did your dad decide to hire a butler?" Too, Alex knew Diego wasn't in the tax bracket prescribed for domestic help! Jake allowed this to play out, Desi responding, "Butler? Jake isn't a butler. He's my dad's new boyfriend," and because Desi had heard this someplace before, perhaps his father at one time admiring some hottie, "isn't he cute?" Thinking it `cute', Desi's sentence regarding his looks, coming from an 11 year old, Jake laughs it off, though he knew, if Diego wasn't in the shower and downstairs at this very moment, he would have treated this incident as Desi throwing a `curse'. However, with Desi sweeping past Alex, it left Jake to be interrogated, not by more firing of questions, but rather silence, "Yes, we have just become boyfriends." At least this is how Jake was perceiving it, especially with Desi backing him up. "It doesn't pay to leave town for an extended leave!" Alex returns. Even though Alex Nouguet's world revolved around the buff and taut bods of guys who exhibited his undergear and loungewear, his taste in men was not solely limited to the gym-groomed crowd! It was his house, though Diego did show some respect, at least showing up at the door in boardshorts, "Alex! You're back!" Almost jealous, was Jake's reaction to Diego swiping past him, throwing himself at Alex, taking the luscious, tanned specimen of a hot man into his arms. "Hey, have you met Jake?" Diego asks Alex, unfolding their hug like an open book. Facing Jake, his boyfriend says, "We have met." He figures it will only be a matter of time and he will have his `own' hug! "C'mon in, Alex. Have you had your cup of java yet?" Ready to say he hadn't and anxious to get back to his own home front, Alex really didn't have a choice, Diego escorting him through the door. "I've been putting some finishing touches on the ad campaign..." Already set in his mind, not only the friendship observed between this `Alex' and his boyfriend, Jake confirms the beauty of the fashion designer, not only taking in the front view, but rear, meaning `rear', compact butt and cleavage of how it moved with the rhythm of each step. Of course, part of the conversation sway between Diego's design, meeting Jake and of course, Alex having to mention, "And where did the dog come from? You `know' Justin will now want one of his own?" Alex laughs. For a second there, Jake shriveled his nose up, turning it into a private, the `nerve' of Alex comparing `human' to `canine', though there was one consolation, him and Kriton both being `cute' in their own special way! % Being tardy in answering his text messages, for even turning on his cell, when Erik accompanied Caleb, driving him to Rockbottom, the somber feeling began to affect both, before even entering the parking lot. Sean Gallows, front gate security guard informs, leaning in the window of Erik's car, "Oh yeah. You didn't hear? Early this morning it happened," the 37 year old dramatically explains, "As I hear it, Doc Tetreau left Conrad's with his friends. DUI. I got a buddy on the force. He says their alcohol levels were off the scale. Shame. Real shame. We got the flags flying at half mast," Sean sums it up. They both peer through the windshield, sure enough seeing not only the American flag, but those signifying this as a marina, and the other, portraying this as an ecological facility, all shimmied halfway down the poles. "I see," Caleb says, stunned to say the least, regarding the grim news. But also on his mind was, "They figure out who's taking Tetreau's place?" He only slept with Caleb last night. Erik should not have had the feelings he was having, only knowing Caleb for roughly six hours. He wasn't thinking it, only responding to the human nature in himself, coupled with some warm feelings. Possibly this had extended from their coupling up in the waterbed. Innocently, nothing had gone beyond feeling Caleb's naked bod nuzzled up against his back... and ass. He had to admit it felt more than nice, Caleb's cock fitting in the crevice, like a hot dog in a bun. Yet, feeling inclination to do so, Erik didn't press his luck, refraining from reaching a hand behind his back and guiding the 20 year old's to a destination which would provide pure ecstasy. He liked Caleb, but in a different way in which he cared for other guys. Not wanting to chase Caleb off, he figured, if he could make some kind of go at developing something, taking sensitivity into consideration, it was better to allow things to proceed, instead of `pushing' himself into it. It was more a natural response, brushing his hand along Caleb's lightly peppered forearm of hair, in consolation. Sean says, "David has been appointed, for now." "Oh, nice," Caleb lightened up, "nice, for David." Erik follows the conversation, immediately having the feeling this `David' means something special to Caleb. "Yeah, too bad it's temporary, but then again it wouldn't suit David to be tied down, now would it?" Something passes between the two, of which Erik thought not the time or place for detective work. Driving into the parking lot, Erik sees the immediate transition, from gloomy to glad, "This David, you're um, kind of fond of, I take it?" On the side, Erik thought why a good reason to know Caleb, not that he couldn't afford it, being waived the $5 parking fee! Caleb sensed, not jealousy, but a feeling of rivalry, which in turn could have propelled this sensitive subject. Even though the two had just clicked, he knew Erik wasn't like this, telling him, "He's a great looking guy. Very, very smart and popular around Rockbottom, but... whereas a lot of guys might be looking to mate up with him," Caleb knew he was putting the screws to Erik, "I really don't feel we're a match." From this, Erik gathers David is `gay', also relating to what Sean has said, "I take it `David' doesn't like to be tied down?" There was a little story to him knowing David, but not sure on how Erik would take it, Caleb decides to let the bondage experience slide for now, "No. Whenever there is a breaking story in the marine biology field, David likes to be on the go and immerse himself in the middle of things." "Go where the action is?" Erik replies. "Yeah," Caleb replies, thinking Erik could mean it in a few ways. He sure did! Parking, getting out of Erik's Smart car, the two walked through the arc of flags, as they saw from a distance, height cut in half by the solemn occasion. Meeting two staff members at the door, Seth Sepraddi, ticket agent at the entrance to Rockbottom, is the first to utter, "Did you hear, Caleb?" Snackbar manager, Tom Witherspoon, consoles in a dramatic sigh of exclamation, "We're all like, stricken!" It was obvious to Erik, Caleb being `stricken', walking along inside the corridor, zombie-like mood to his appearance. "Are you okay?" Erik asks, a gentle touch of his hand to the top of Caleb's shoulder. "I'm okay," Caleb replies, even though stunned. When Caleb emerged out of the midwest, onto the eastern surfboard, among some of the kind people he met, was Dr. Tetreau. With influence, through colleagues, it was Matthieu who pulled the strings, which made some of the red tape come `unstuck', like letters of recommendations from Caleb's hometown, people he grew up with, showing character reference and abilities to excel. For sure, Caleb wasn't about to contact anyone in the state of Oklahoma, let alone the bigots of his place of origin. Though, he did think one closeted teacher, Mr. Cohen, but skipped the idea, thinking he didn't want to cause any waves for the social studies teacher. It was Mr. Cohen whom he dwell on the memory at this very moment. In Caleb's history, `Ari', had seen something `different' in the 16 year old and even though Mr. Cohen had cited him for some classroom offense, only the two realized what after school detention entailed. Nothing physical went on between the two, from the tail end of Caleb's tenth grade year, through graduation, but it was Ari's expertise which helped counsel Caleb through those last years of high school. Upon discovery, Caleb had admitted, on his cell phone, it was his own slip up and out of compassion and thanks for those years, thought it best he and Ari didn't meet for `detention' anymore. Drawing off those times, when Mr. Cohen had some of the answers for him, regarding all the things which made up this `gay lexicon' and the memories of how Ari helped him through those last crucial years of high school, Caleb, spots Phil Dumont, the eighteen year old sulking, as he sits on the wall of the turtle pond, "Hey, how's it going Phil?" Sitting there, his arms on his thighs, Phil was twirling around his keys, attached to a souvenir Rockbottom lanyard. Without breaking the chain of rhythm, Phil looks up into the 20 year old's face, saying, "Oh hi, Caleb." Eyes returning to the mundane detail of pulling the lanyard loop up to the keys, then dropping them like a parachute, Phil stops both, the dropping of keys and eyes, looks up, but instead of focusing on Caleb, rather pays attention to Erik, "Who's this?" While Phil straightens up his backbone, Caleb replies, "My friend, Erik Domersant." "Domersant, eh?" Phil replies, head tilted, eyes squinting like he's looking directly into the sun. Trying to recall, Caleb interrogates Phil, "Have you two met?" "No," Phil replies, "but the name... do you happen to have a brother?" By now, Caleb kind of understood, Kyven `getting around', informing Phil, "Yeah, Erik's got a brother." Rather than allow the two play a cat and mouse game, Erik asks, "You know Ky?" Direct answer, "Kyven? Yeah, I know him." This is one subject Caleb didn't need Erik to fill him in on. He already had an idea of how Kyven could be, by the treatment he got earlier, brought to the house and the obvious notion, Kyven not liking him, getting dumped on his brother. In this case though, so fair as he could see into his future, he was not minding `getting` dumped. Of the subject at hand, he was surprised by Phil being involved with such a character, always the shy guy, "You hang out with Kyven, Phil?" "Sometimes," Phil replies. Erik stood there, taking it all in. Even though he didn't know Phil, he figured him just the type of person Kyven likened to prey on. Being shy was part of the equation, but also looks, which perhaps should be the initial focus. As he noticed about Caleb, Kyven went for a `blond'. It didn't matter if Caleb fit in the category of `dirty blond', slightly less than the full sheen of `sun', but nonetheless, the initial trait. Second, in his brother's eyes, a guy had to be cute. Making the comparison, both Caleb and Phil fit the part, of which he thought, and this could be biased opinion, Caleb being far more good looking. Third statute, Ky was crazy about at least a little blond fuzz covering his man's pecs. Partially, Erik could make out more than peach fuzz around the frame of Phil's tank top. So yeah, as far as the criteria, it was all there, except one last detail, which with boardshorts on, Erik could make an estimate of how much Kyven liked Phil! Skipping over the mutual relations between Erik and Kyven, Caleb asks, "I know you were close with Doc Tetreau, Phil?" he recalled his attention. Looking up, Phil cracked a small smile, saying, "No more than you?" Erik knew there was something in deep meaning passed there between the two, but rationalized this not the time for discussion, so left it up to the two. "Yeah, well I think you knew Doc Tetreau better than I did." Sure there was something, like a code going on between the two. As Matthieu had done for Caleb when he arrived on his turf, he did the same for Phil. Only, for Phil, being 18 and Caleb 20, the relationship shared by the former director and Phil was new and hadn't run it's course, whereby Dr. Teatreau would exercise an unwritten agreement, doing small `favors` in return for bigger handouts. Though, for some who fell into this web, Caleb bailed out quicker than others. He didn't mind at all, Matthieu giving him a blowjob, but one thing which did not set well with Caleb, he wasn't into fucking `any` guy, rather waiting for the right one to come along. At any rate, some other runaway caught Matthieu's eye, which let him off the hook. As for Phil, something he and Caleb shared, he says of Tetreau's passing, "I guess I'm off the hook now?" A joke, or a dig, however Phil perceived it, Caleb simply says, "Oh really?" In question here, after being pals with Phil since he happened onto Rockbottom turf, when they were alone, all he's heard from Phil, regarding their director, were overwhelming accolades over how tight Doc Tetreau's ass is... was! Noting the time, Caleb says, "Well, I've got to get going. The fish need food. If you want to talk, let me know?" "Nice to meet you," Erik sincerely says his farewell. "You too," Phil replies. Walking away, Erik makes mention, in a joking manner, "Phil must have a `big one'!" Very well catching the meaning, Caleb says of it, "He does." He stopped while Caleb kept walking. Realizing Erik wasn't behind him, Caleb turns and doubles back. They were behind the scenes at Rockbottom, caught in a corridor between a building and tank, Caleb saying, "I know, not from doing anything with Phil, but it so happens I caught Tetreau on his knees in the men's lounge, sucking Phil off. Now, you want to stand here and work your cock up on a fantasy revolving around this or help feed fish?" Hands on hips, shaking his head back and forth, Erik says, "For your information `that` kind of a fantasy doesn't get me hard!" "Oh really?" Caleb swats the back of his hand up against Erik's zipper area, then smiles. "Now, waking up to a hot guy's cock about to go up my ass... that would make me hard!" Thinking about it, Caleb could have very easily used his own spit to create the slippery sensation this morning, but hung back, for the simple fact he wasn't into lusty sex, rather waiting for the right time. Not putting a time limit on it, he did hint, "You could get lucky tonight?!" "Really?" Erik's whole face lit up. Then, reaching in the middle of Erik's polo shirt, balling it up, using it for a leash to pull him along, Caleb replies, "C'mon sexy-man!" % "I wonder how our Dr. Bill is taking all this?" Jake says, as an observation. "Dr. Bill?" Diego replies. He hadn't much history on Rockbottom's staff scientist, other than knowing him and Matthieu had an ongoing `mens lounge' relationship. "I should give him a call." Before doing so, Jake thinks he owes an explanation, "Even though they were not working on a deep love," Jake's terms of the doorstep towards `matrimony', "he and Dr. Tetreau had solid relationship at work." He knew he didn't explain himself well, but Diego already had a picture of how `mutual' the two worked at bonding, "I think I already have gathered a picture, Jake." He waited for Jake to absorb that tidbit of information, then says, "Make your call." Making the call, Diego heard him vocally call into his cell, "Call me when you get this, Bill." Exiting his cell, Jake turns, says, "No answer. I left a message." They stood there for a bit and finally hearing the coffee machine `dripless', Diego realizes, "I left Alex alone with my drawings..." With a comic face, Jake suggests, "You think they may have made him hard and he is playing with himself?" Giving Jake a pathetic face, Diego replies, "No." Then with more anxious attitude, grabbing up three mugs in one hand, "I wonder if he likes them?" Taking over, Jake commandeers the handle of the coffee pot, pushes the mugs to the counter, which makes Diego release them to the marble top, says, "Go!" Like a little kid, Diego takes off, yelling, "I owe ya one!" Taking the I.O.U. literally, Jake was wondering about it. It had become a toss up for him, whether he would surrender to the forever position of becoming a cocksucker, or would there be an opportunity to swing around the other side of the gate? Regardless, he gave up thinking about it, only knowing time would tell. For right now he seemed to have a good thing going. Who would have thought he would be not only getting a boyfriend, but a cute kid thrown in on `the deal'? Filling three mugs, a dab of milk in each, he suddenly backed off on the third mug, wondering if Alex took milk. He chanced it! Taking two in one hand, the third in the other, he carried them along to Diego's `studio', the dining room when it was not in use for the purpose designated. "What is this?" He found the reason Alex was taking his time looking at Diego's drawings, on the floor, playing `doggie fetch' with Desi and Kriton! Off to the side was Diego, `protecting' his drawings, even though Kriton could not reach the table top if he wanted to. Suddenly, Alex's head pops up from under the table, asking like a dog begging, "Do I smell coffee?" Wanting to respond in a different way, Jake behaved himself, "I hope you like it taken with milk?" Getting up, Alex wiped his hands, saying, "A little is okay. A lot is not!" Desi and Kriton, tuckered out, lay on the floor, Desi's shirt riding up his bod, Kriton laying on his belly. Desi asks, "What are we doing today?" It was the first time Jake ever met a fashion designer. He never thought about it, but thinking about it now, blew all his thoughts about how a fashion designer dressed, Alex in his loosely buttoned, baggy shirt and jeans. During their horsing around a few more buttons came undone, the shirt completely pulled out of Alex's jeans. He loved the sight of all that dark brown hair scathing Alex's chest and the stripe down to where he couldn't see it anymore. "Do I get one of those mugs?" Diego intentionally interrupts Jake's train of thought. "Oh sure," like he didn't want it to seem obvious he was checking out Alex, "before it gets cold!" he trades off one of the mugs. Alex more addresses Desi, "We were thinking of hanging on the beach today. Coincidentally we met a gay couple in Australia, who are from near here and they will be bringing their son with them and join us. You're welcome to do the same?" Desi jumps to his feet, "Is their son my age?" "`Fraid not," Alex replies, "he's 1 year older than Justin. Sorry." "Justin!" Desi finally discovers he's missed his friend. "Is he up?" "Oh sure," Alex replies, "he's busy getting ready for his friend Adam. You know he has to have his toys in good working order!" Even though Justin was 6, Desi enjoyed being with him, portraying the `father' image. One reason is, Justin looked up to him like he was a father, always asking questions. In fact, it's Kyle, Alex's partner, who said, probably working at Rockbottom, Justin would have a million surefire questions. Desi better learn all he could while he was there! Taking off, Kriton followed Desi like a bat out of hell, flying out the door with him, his father yelling, "Don't forget to leash him!" Desi did grab the leash off the kitchen cabinet, but when he went out the front door, he picked Kriton up. He was a small enough dog not to be cumbersome. Then, heading for the small opening in the iron fence between properties, Desi knew just where the path began. Hidden access, Desi thought it kind of cool only the two families had any idea of the passageway. For Desi, it was like any other next door property. To an adult, it would be like walking onto a movie star's beach property estate. Before Diego moved in he was in the early stages of working for Alex, but the two clicked, especially since they each had children, a son each. Diego lived in a nice ranch-styled beach home, which didn't compare to the price tag of Alex's $7.8million dollar luxury beach home, but he was fortunate to have it, a result of Alex graciously co-signing on the mortgage. Also a factor, Alex liked Diego's work, therefore knew, in order to keep him out of foreclosure, he would have to keep Diego employed! Another thing, Diego's `gripe' was Alex hiring a man, himself, who lived not in a 7-digit home, but a converted gardener's cottage, made into a home which sold for just under a hundred-thou... Lucky enough to have a boss and neighbor who was down-to-earth, Alex once said about putting on airs, he would leave that to the Braddock's and Karlyle's of the world! Returning home, Diego was thrilled Alex liked his preliminary sketches, but warned his designing crew would have to go over the final designs, then submit it to marketing. What Alex didn't let on, they were all under his jurisdiction when it came time dealing out the paychecks! This didn't really fool Diego, as he told Jake, "Still, if my drawings aren't good enough, the product isn't going to sell?" standing there in the dining room looking at the skimpy briefs, the cockpocket looking like the biggest part. "I think your drawings, they are perfect, especially here!" Jake's middle finger, isolated from the other digits of his hand, land right on the cock pocket! Pulling the drawing out from under Jake's fuck-finger, Diego puts it away into an oversized artists' case. Zipping it closed he says, "Enough with business and on with the day!" "Is there something we need to take to the picnic?" Jake asks. Nonchalantly, Diego says, "Kyle says to bring Desi and ourselves!" "All ready!" Desi bursts in, all decked out in his swimsuit, a towel over a shoulder, beach pail and the makings for a sandcastle in a bag full of holes. "The beach party doesn't start for another 3 hours," Diego replies. Then something happened which made Jake start giggling, Diego soon enough catching on, the two of them, laughing their asses off, watching Kriton walk in, a pair of boardshorts, a pair Desi wore when he was younger, and sunglasses over his eyes. Straight-faced, Desi asks, "Do you think Kriton needs sunglasses?" Sure it was funny, Diego convincing Desi Kriton should stay at home, but they should come check on him now and then. Too, as Diego had already figured, Jake opening his big, fat mouth, not for cock, but shocked Desi did not get an allowance, had provoked his son into asking, "Dad, when do I get an allowance? I'm going to be 12, you know?" It's not like Diego hadn't thought about it, but the chores Desi did right now, he did for nothing. Making it up as he went along, he came up with the idea, "Well, it doesn't look like we'll be seeing much of Caleb, between his work and," he looks at Jake, "boyfriends, so I think a dollar a week for Kriton's upkeep would be..." Desi, he would expect it, but a complaint from Jake, "A dollar? That is it?" Seeing his father standing there, not saying anything in rebuttal, Desi puts forth, "Yeah, is that it, dad?" "What do you two thing this is... the Price is Right?" Diego replies. Joking right back at Diego, Jake says, "No, MTV. I think $10 a week would be good." "Oh really?" Diego replies, confronting Jake like he was ready to kick the shit out of him, "And how much are you kicking in, Jake?" Desi offers food for thought, "Jake's your boyfriend dad. He doesn't live here!" For all of almost a half of a day he did, which Diego didn't make a squabble about. Sometimes when Michael was there, he had to think of reasons to kick him out, because Michael would go on and on, talking about an expedition which there weren't very many they hadn't heard about before. With Jake, other than saying some things pertaining to father and son... slowly, as he stood there looking at Jake, whatever occurred inside his head, Diego could not stay mad at him. If Jake could speak his mind, why couldn't he, "Well maybe Jake should start living here!" Little did Diego know, Jake was all for it hours ago, which left him saying, "You joke! Me give up my crappy apartment for all of this?" Diego was ready to laugh, when Desi asks, "When can you move in, Jake?" Jake turns to Desi, says, "This conspiracy?" Desi had no idea what Jake was saying, but did know something, "One more person to walk Kriton!" His dad was cool, "What and share that $10 allowance?" "Oops!" Desi's plan failed. "No, that's okay. I'll take care of Kriton!" Curtailing of their conversation, the doorbell rings. "I'll get it!" Desi says, Kriton in his summer outfit running for the front door. Jake and Diego look at each other when they hear screamed out loud in a feminine vocal manner, "Oh my god! She looks so faboolous!" More than recognizing Adrian Tetreau's voice, Jake and Diego point out the reason for Adrian's vocal assault, "Kriton!" Closer to the foyer, they laugh, hearing Desi correct him, "Kriton's a boy. You can't see his little thingy because his shorts are hiding it!" % Copyright 2012 T.
