To my readers: I'm sorry it took me so long to write more, I've just been really busy with school letting out and work and everything. I do appreciate the e-mails though, it's good advice. If you ever have any comments at all, don't be afraid to email me. "The two embraced and shared a passionate kiss, much similar to the one that started the date. It would have lasted a lot longer if Jack's mom didn't open the door right then to see the two all over eachother. Jack turned at the sound of the door opening. "Oh, hi mom!" His face turning bright red. He turned back to Matt, "Goodnight." And walked into the house." "So honey, you like him, eh?" Jack and his mom were sitting at the teaque dining room table. "Yeah, I really do. A lot." Jack looked down at his shoes. "Just be careful honey. I don't want you to get hurt again. You're my baby boy and I don't like seeing you hurt that way." "I know mom, thanks." "You're welcome Jack. I just want you to know that I'm always here for you, no matter what." "And I can come to you with anything. I know mom, I appreciate your concern, but I really don't think Matt is going to hurt me. He's too much of a sweetheart." "Just be careful. Don't fall too hard, or too fast." "I know. I'm pretty guarded because of last time." "Good boy." Jack smiles half-heartedly, knowing that he is already falling for Matt. "I'm exhausted ma, I'm gonna head up to bed." "Alright honey, goodnight. I love you." "Love you too, night." On his way upstairs Jack pulled out his cell phone. Seeing that he had a text message from Matt he typed in the password and pulled up the text application. It was just one word. `Hey :)' Sitting down on his bed he typed out a reply. `Hey cutie. :) Thank you so much for tonight. It means a lot, and it was great to get out of the house.' On the other side of town Matt was sitting on his own bed, phone in hand, waiting anxiously for his boy to text him back. My boy, can I even call him that yet? I just met him today, yet I feel like I've known him forever. I hope- His thoughts were cut off by the buzz of his phone. He opened it and smiled. `Hey cutie. :) Thank you so much for tonight. It means a lot, and it was great to get out of the house.' He called me cutie! He must like me. `You're welcome babe. I had a really good night. You're amazing.' The reply came almost immediately. `Me too. And thank you :) you are too. I feel like we've known eachother for a whole lot longer than just one day. And I really like that.' By the time he was through reading that text Matt was smiling like an idiot. `I know. It's amazing. I really like you. A lot.' `Yeah I like you a lot too Matt. I've never fallen this hard this fast before. I must admit, it's kinda scary.' `Don't worry babe. I'll catch you.' God that was so corny. I hope it doesn't scare him off... The phone buzzed again. `Good. I don't think I'd survive this fall without somebody to catch me.' `I've got you. But after such an amazing night I need to get some sleep. I'll see you in school tomorrow. Goodnight. :)' `Night :) <3' Matt plugged his phone in and went to brush his teeth. He laid down in bed and drifted off to sleep thinking about kissing, and more, Jack. How did I get so lucky? Back in his room Jack was still sitting in his bed, reading the same conversation over and over again. On about the 4th time through he noticed something that he didn't quite catch before. `You're welcome babe...' Babe he thought to himself. He called me babe! Jack fell asleep with a smile on his face for the first time in a long time. The next morning Jack woke up extra early. He wanted to look really cute for Matt. He ended up having to run to the bus because it took him nearly an hour to get his hair to do what he wanted it to and to find the perfect outfit. Once on the bus he faced a similar situation as the day before, a lack of seating. Finally he found an open sear, right behind Gretchen. Again. He looked to see if Matt was in the seat next to him again, but he wasn't. He didn't see him anywhere on the bus. So he tapped Gretchen on the shoulder. "Where's Matt? He said he usually takes the bus in the morning." "I dunno. Maybe he's sick." "Oh." I sure hope not. It was just as they were pulling into school that Jack realized he had his phone and could just text matt. He sent one saying `Where r u?' but didn't get an answer. Well I do have English first again. Hopefully I'll see him there. Jack walked to his locker and did the code, without realizing that it was already partially open. He pulled on the door and a single red rose fell onto the floor. He picked it up and saw that there was a small card tied onto it with a white ribbon, and that there was a note written on the card. `Thanks again for last night. I had an amazing time. ~ M.' Jack put the note in his pocket and put the rose back in his locker. He grabbed his book and headed to English class, hopeful to see Matt again. What he didn't see was all the darting looks and weird faces people were giving him as he walked through the hallways. Thanks a lot again you guys for reading. If you have any questions or comments, shoot me an email and I'll reply. I promise.
