It was pointless to keep thinking about how horny I was since I wasn't going to do anything about it. Thinking about it would just frustrate me. Besides, there was something more pressing ...I really had to use the bathroom. I had put it off since I woke up because I didn't want to use the bed urinal sitting on the table and I didn't think I should get out of bed by myself. I really hated using the bottle. Having it sit there kind of grosses me out plus I always worry someone would walk in at the time. Besides, with the state of my cock I doubt it would fit in the opening. I looked at the clock and saw it was only 7:30. On a normal Saturday I'd be getting ready to pick Danny up and go to karate. I wondered if anyone had called to let him know I wouldn't be there today. He'd be disappointed if I simply didn't show up. I liked him and didn't want that so I thought I should give him a call just in case. Fortunately Josh had found my phone and it still had a charge. I tried calling just to make sure he knew but he didn't answer. Hopefully someone had told him and he either slept in deciding not to go or found another ride. I did think it was strange he didn't answer. He always answered by the second ring even if he was asleep. I ended up leaving a voice mail and a text message letting him know I wouldn't be picking him up. I didn't give a reason. I really didn't want him to learn I got my ass kicked in a voice mail. I also texted Nick thinking he might be able to give him a ride. Danny is a cute kid and I know he has a crush on me. Well, actually I didn't know until Josh pointed it out one day we had all gone to the park to work on katas. He said it was obvious and thought it was hilarious I didn't notice. He really enjoyed giving me a hard time about it after we dropped Danny at home. Of course it was funny I had been oblivious to the whole thing. "He really likes you. You know that, right?" Josh said smirking as soon as we pulled out of Danny's driveway. I instinctively reached over and took his hand in mind when I saw him looking at his old house. His father, or Mr. Sullivan, still wasn't home and it looked deserted. He smiled when I squeezed his hand. "He's a good kid. I like him too." "No, idiot. He really likes you ...as in 'likes' you. "Josh!! He's thirteen." "So? What does that have to do with it? He looks up to you. Didn't you notice the bulge in his shorts when you were helping him? He might be a kid but he's a growing boy. That was obvious." "Come on Josh. We're just friends. He has a boyfriend. ...in addition to being too young." "He and Nicky may be boyfriends but that wouldn't matter. I bet if you wanted he'd do whatever you said. Didn't you feel him pushing back into you?" "We were just working on his position." "Haha, that's funny. ...Dan... For a smart guy you're kind of dense at times. Didn't you see that he was hard? It was pretty obvious." "That doesn't mean anything." "Okay, you can believe that if you want," said Josh shaking his head smiling. I laughed. "You're just jealous. You scared of a little competition?" "Of course not. Not of Danny at least. You think of him as a little brother. I just think it's funny how you don't see it. Of course I don't mind watching him when he's with you. He really is cute and it looks like he can make Nicky happy." "Josh, you shouldn't perve on thirteen year-olds," I said smiling. "I wasn't perving and maybe I am jealous," he laughed. "Look what Nicky gets and look at all I get," he laughed reaching for my crotch. "Fuck you," I laughed. "You can be replaced." Josh leaned across the console giving me kiss. "I'm not worried," he smiled. I finally decided I really couldn't wait any longer and decided trying to make it to the bathroom. At first I debated calling for help but decided against it. I'd be going home in two days and I had been walking around with the physical therapist so I figured I didn't need any help. The funny thing is that as soon as I sat up and put my legs over the side of the bed I heard the nurse ask what I thought I was doing. She startled me. I don't know how she did it but her timing was perfect. Maybe there are cameras in my room. "I need to use the bathroom." "That's what that bottle is for. You know you're not supposed to get out of bed alone." "I'm okay. I'll be careful." "I'm sure you will but you're the patient and I'm the nurse. While you're here you'll do what I say and your doctor doesn't want you up walking around by yourself so neither do I ...lay down." "I can make it." "Maybe but there would be hell to pay if you fell and hurt yourself. I'd have to write up some report why I hadn't been more attentive. Plus you'd probably be staying a few more days. I'm sure that wouldn't go over very well, especially with at least one person who seems particularly anxious for you to get out of here," she said with a smile. I laughed. It was obvious she was referring to Josh. It seemed all the nurses knew we were boyfriends. "Yeah, you're right there. Does everyone know about Josh and me?" "Pretty much," she laughed. "We all think it's cute. It's obvious he cares about you. ...Wait here. I'll send an orderly down to help. I can't really say I blame you for wanting to get out of bed." "Thanks," I said lying back down. Fortunately the sheet had been blocking her view from seeing too much. I'm sure she'd seen it before but I didn't like the idea of someone my mother's age seeing me hard. Not that the sheet really hid much. I was grateful I only had to wait a couple minutes before someone came to help. When I saw him I almost forgot I had to use the bathroom. I'm sure he knew I was checking him out but he was definitely hot. He was a few years older but was in good shape. He had dark hair that was closely cut along with eyes that seemed to sparkle. He was wearing hospital scrubs and I must say they looked really good on him. They also didn't hide much. I also don't think he was wearing any underwear since the outline of his cock was clearly visible. I ave hime an embarrassed smile when we made eye contact after he caught me looking. "The nurse said you need some help," he smiled. "Yeah, I have to use the bathroom and wanted to get out of bed." "I don't blame you," he said. "Let's help you to the bathroom. Are you going to be okay if I just help you to the door?" "Yeah," I said. "I can hold myself up with the rail using my good arm. I wasn't going to ask for help but the nurse caught me getting out of bed," I laughed. I was relieved he had said to the door. I really didn't want him to come in with me. "It's a good thing she did. You could have gotten hurt. ...Plus, it's my job to help the patients. You wouldn't want to put me out of a job would you?" he smiled. I laughed. "No, that wouldn't be good." "Let's get you up," he said. I laughed to myself thinking that wouldn't be a problem especially when he stood beside my bed with his crotch near my head. He leaned down and put his hands on my shoulders and helped me to sit up. He started by pulling down the blanket and helping me move my legs to the side of the bed. When I sat up his crotch was directly in my face and my cock popped straight out. "Not too fast," he said. "You don't want to get dizzy. ...By the way, I'm Justin." "As long as I get there. I really need to go. I waited too long before deciding what to do." "It happens all the time. Come on, let's get you up." I couldn't help it. I cracked up. Justin did too as soon as he realized what he had said. It was obvious I was already up. The bottom of my johnny was at my waist and he had a clear view. He stared right at it for a few seconds but this time he seemed embarrassed when we made eye contact. "Sorry," I said. "I woke up that way." "Don't worry about it. Most guys wake up hard," he said looking me in the eye and smirking a little. I smiled. "I guess you're right." "Take your time. I'll wait outside as long as you want ...unless you think you need help," he smiled. I wasn't sure how to take that but knew I didn't want any help like that. "It's okay. I really just want to take a piss although that's going to be difficult." "It must be the bed," he laughed. "The last patient who had that bed was a kid younger than you. He had the same problem. " I laughed. "That must have been Kyle. He's a friend of mine. I'll have to give him a hard time when I see him." "Please don't," he said. "I could get in trouble for talking about other patients." "No problem," I said. "You wouldn't though. Kyle's cool." "Yeah, he was a good kid. I was sorry when I heard how he got beat up. You know what happened, right? And why?" "Yeah, his step-brother did it. He's the same guy who did this to me." "Wow, you mean the guy who is on the second floor? I heard he did this to you but I didn't know he did it to Kyle too. Kyle told me why he did it. At least you got in some good punches too. He'll recover but he'll be sore." "Actually it wasn't me." "Who then? I'd like to congratulate him. I hate bullies. Good thing I'm not on his floor. I'd make him wait if he ever needed help to the bathroom. Let him piss himself." "Don't make me laugh." "At least it distracted you. You might be able to take a piss now." "Why didn't I think of that. Thinking of Phil Clayton will definitely get things to go down. I should have thought of that an hour and a half ago. It works better than thinking about getting caught by my parents." "I take it it's been awhile." "Only since Monday but it seems longer. I'd take care of it but I can't." "Oh? You have one good arm," he laughed. "It's not that. I promised someone." "Oh, I see. Let's get you to the bathroom." It felt good walking across the room. I actually walked by myself but Justin stayed beside me just in case. It felt good taking a piss like normal too. I realized that had been awhile too. "You don't have to stay," I said after he helped me back into bed. "Some friends will be here soon." "I don't mind. I'll stay unless you don't want me to. If I go back to the nurse's station they'll find something else for me to do. This way I can say you needed my help." "No, I appreciate the company. I just assumed you had other things to do." "I should apologize for staring at you earlier. I didn't mean to. It was just sort of there." "Don't worry about it. I would have looked too. In fact I did," I smiled. He laughed. "Really?? You said you were a friend of Kyle's. You're gay too? Are you and he..." I told you not to make me laugh. "You must be the only one on the floor who doesn't know. Yeah, I'm gay but Kyle and I are just friends. He's a little young for me. Besides, he's taken." "He said he had a boyfriend. I was just wondering if it was you and that's why his brother did what he did." "No, his step-brother and I just don't get along. Of course being friends with Kyle and him finding out Kyle is gay didn't help much. ...How about you? Do you have a boyfriend?" "No, actually I'm straight. Like I said, I really wasn't looking earlier. I mean, ...I was but... " I laughed. "Relax, it's cool. What gay guy doesn't like being checked out by a hot guy? I'm Dan." "Nice to meet you and I wasn't checking you out," he laughed. "Okay, call it what you want. Hope you don't mind that I checked you out. Just don't tell my boyfriend." I smiled. "So you do have a boyfriend." "Yeah, he's the one who did that to Phil. He kicked his ass, didn't he? I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. I mean he's not a wimp or anything. It's just that everyone is afraid of Phil. It was great though. The security cameras caught it all and I saw the video." "Cool, I'd like to meet him." "He should be here anytime. You can meet him." "That's good. You want me to guard the door when he comes?" he laughed. I laughed. "I'm game but he won't. He wants to wait until we get home. Besides, my friend from Chicago will be with him. He came as soon as he heard I was hurt." "That's cool." "Yeah, Jason is a good guy. I've missed him since we moved." "And he's cool you have a new boyfriend." I laughed. "Jason is straight. We're just friends. I love him though. I had kind of a rough year but he was always there for me. He's even dropped everything twice now to come out here because I needed him." "That's cool. It's nice to have friends like that." "Jason is one of a kind." "Can I ask you something?" "Sure, as long as I reserve the right not to answer." "It's nothing like that. I was just wondering. Do your parents know you're gay?" "Oh yeah, my mother found out when she walked in on me and my boyfriend when I was fifteen. That was when I lived in Chicago." "I assume that was a different boyfriend?" "You could say that. His name was Aaron. It's a long story." "Are your parents okay with it?" "Yeah, they're great. Mom is a psychiatrist here so she is pretty cool about it. My father had some trouble initially accepting it but he's come around. He never stopped loving me though." "That's good. I'm glad your parents are supportive. Too often that's not the case." "Yeah, I know. I'm lucky." "I wish it was always like that. I have a cousin who is gay. At least my Mom and I think he is. We don't really know for sure. It's a tough situation. His father is a homophobe ...amongst other things." "That sucks. Are you close?" "I don't see him much. I feel bad. I've always liked him but don't get to see him very often. His father tries to control his life." "Does he live around here?" "Yeah, but I shouldn't say too much. You might know him and that wouldn't be right. You probably go to the same school since he's your age. I'm not really sure he's gay anyway. It's just a feeling. I'm sure nobody knows if he is. It wouldn't be good if his father found out." "I know I'm lucky. My parents accept things. They're even letting my boyfriend stay with us because he has problems at home. You seem okay with your cousin possibly being gay. If you are then you should tell him. If he is gay then he could use your support." "Of course I'm okay with it. He's a good kid but I just haven't said anything in case I'm wrong. If I told him it's okay with me if he is and I'm wrong then he'd wonder why I think he is." "You don't have to be that blunt," I laughed. "Just let him know you're okay with gay people. Tell him about how you met someone who got beat up because he's gay and take it from there. Tell him how two guys had the same room who got beat up by the same person." "Maybe I will. I should support him more in general. Between school and work I don't have much time. I know that's not an excuse. Seeing what happened to you and that other kid has made me think about him more. I know his father would kill him if he found out he really is gay." "All the more reason for you to be there for him." "Thanks, you've given me something to think about. You should be a psychiatrist." "That's my mother's job." He laughed. "I should get back to work. They'll come looking for me pretty soon. Thanks for listening." "Thanks for your help. Stop back later. You can meet Josh. He should be here anytime." "Josh??" "Yeah, that's my boyfriend. He and Jason should be here anytime." No sooner than I said their names, they both walked through the door. "Did someone say my..." Josh started to say but stopped mid-sentence looking at Justin. "Justin?? What are you doing here?" "I work here on weekends. What are you doing here?" he asked looking at Josh and then at me. "Wait... you're this guy's boyfriend?" "Well, ...yeah... There's no point hiding it. Dan is my boyfriend. I'm gay Justin. Hopefully you're okay with that but honestly I'm well beyond family members knowing," said Josh a little defensively. "Josh... Justin is cool." "Wow!!! Dan said he had a boyfriend but I'd never imagine it was you. It really is a small world. I was just telling him about you. He was telling me about his boyfriend and I was telling him I have a cousin I thought might be gay." "You knew??" "Not for sure but I've suspected. Mom does too. We've wanted to tell you it's okay, that we love you, but didn't know how." "I talk to Aunt Vera all the time. She's never said anything." "Maybe you didn't hear. You must have known she wouldn't care." "Do you? Are you okay with it? I hope so but to be honest I don't really care. I am who I am. You've really talked to Aunt Vera about me?" "Not recently," he laughed. "She's still in Colorado with Grammy and of course I'm okay with it. Dan told me I should let you know that. Of course I didn't know you are his boyfriend. By the way, he could use your attention, he's horny as hell. He was boned up when I helped him to the bathroom." "That's nothing new. He's always boned up. Why were you looking anyway? You're not gay. If you are then you have some explaining to do to Jessica." I reached for Josh's hand. "Yeah Josh. I need some attention here. Justin said he'd guard the door. How about we send him and Jason into the hall and you can lay next to me." "Dan... we talked about this." I smiled. "At least give me a kiss." He smiled and kissed me but pulled back when I tried pulling him down. "Dan...," he smiled. "He really is horny," laughed Jason. "Wait a minute. I'm confused," said Justin. "You did that to the kid on the second floor. I never took you for much of a fighter. I guess you're tougher than you look. What did your father say?" "Don't call that asshole my father. He's not my father and he doesn't know." Josh said getting angry. "What are you talking about? How could he not know?" "Calm down Josh. Justin is on your side." "Sorry, after all that's happened..." "It's okay but I don't understand. What do you mean he's not your father? He may be an asshole but he's still your father." Josh laughed. "Actually, no, he isn't. He never was." "What are you talking about? Of course he is." "Nope, and pretty soon he's going to be out of my life forever." JI laughed at the confused look on Justin's face. Josh smiled. "I was adopted. I just found out. It was probably a fraudulent adoption at that. If I'm lucky he was involved and he'll rot in jail. He deserves it for how he's treated me the past eight years." "Adopted? You're sure?" "Yup. I met my real parents two days ago. They thought I was dead. My name isn't really Sullivan, it's Michaels... Christopher Michaels to be exact. I should have grown up happy in Chicago with a twin brother Aaron. Instead I've been living in hell for the last eight years." "Aaron?" asked Justin looking at me. "Not Aaron your old boyfriend? ...I remember names," he said when I gave him a surprised look. "Yup, one and the same," I smiled. "Let me get this straight. You use to live in Chicago and had a boyfriend named Aaron. Now you live here and Josh is your boyfriend? On top of that Josh and Aaron are really twin brothers and didn't even know it? Excuse me if I find that hard to believe. Josh do you really believe that? Something seems fishy." "DNA doesn't lie Justin. I've seen the test results. I've also seen pictures of Aaron. There's no mistake." "I still find it hard to believe. Things like this just don't happen." "Believe it Justin." "We're not really cousins then? What should I call you?" asked Justin after Josh told him the complete story. "Technically maybe we're not cousins but you know how I feel about Aunt Vera and you guys. Your Mom has always tried to help. As for what to call me, I'm not sure. Sometimes I like Josh and sometimes I like Chris. I haven't decided. When I think of Aunt Vera or Mom, my adoptive Mom that is, and my friends then I think of myself as Josh. When I'm with the Michaels and think of that life then I like Chris. I'll probably stick with Josh since changing it would be confusing." Justin walked over and gave Josh a hug. "Honestly Josh ...or Chris ...or whatever your name is, I'm happy for you. I never liked your... that man, even before your Mom died. Just don't forget I'm your cousin whether it's by blood or not." "I won't. It's not like you and Aunt Vera aren't part of my life. Stacy too. I need to call her." "She'll be happy for you too. ...You really did that to the kid downstairs? I'm sorry but I'm just amazed. The way things were, I didn't think you were the type." "Yup, he saved me," I smiled. "My hero. Now give me a kiss another kiss. I've been thinking about you." "I can vouch for that," laughed Justin. "Arrgh, I need to get home," said Jason causing me to laugh. "You'll have to excuse Jason," I said. "He hasn't seen his girlfriend since Tuesday. He's flying home tomorrow just so he can get laid." "Fuck you," laughed Jason. "Now I know you're going to be alright. You're definitely back to being an asshole." It took Justin a minute to realize he was joking. I explained we were always like that. "He's the best straight friend I have," I said. "From what I've seen I might be the only straight friend you have," laughed Jason. "Not true," I smiled. "There are a couple more token straight guys who I call friends." Justin had to leave when he got paged. We told him to stop back later when he was off duty. The three of us spent the rest of the morning talking or more specifically ganging up on Jason. I was surprised when he bent down and kissed my forehead. "I love you Dan. I'm going to miss you when I leave tomorrow." "Wow, you've never kissed me before. You trying to make Josh jealous?" "Be serious for once. You almost got killed." "I know Jason. I love you too." ---- Nicky Wade came to visit around 11:30 after karate lessons. It was good to see him but I was surprised he was alone. I'd expect either Danny or his father to be with him. "You don't look so good Dan." Josh laughed. "When did he ever look good?" "Hey Josh, you can be replaced. What do you say Nicky? You and me? How about when I get out of here I dump this guy and you and I go out?" I asked with a smile. Jason just shook his head. "Isn't he a little young for you Dan?" I laughed. "He's taken anyway. He already has a cute boyfriend. Where is he anyway Nick? Tell him I'm pissed he hasn't come to visit." "I don't know. I haven't seen him." "What's going on? You two fighting?" "I don't know," he shrugged looking at Jason. "I was hoping we could talk." "Sure, you know I'm here for you. What's up?" He just looked at Jason. "It's okay Nicky. Jason is my best friend from Chicago. His only fault is he's straight or so he says. He does seem to hang around gay guys a lot though." "Fuck you," laughed Jason. "Andrea knows I'm not gay. That's all that counts. You're just jealous she gets this and you don't," he said rubbing his crotch. "See what I have to put up with Nick? I wouldn't trade him for the world but he thinks the world revolves around his three inches. What do you want to talk about?" "I'll run downstairs and get something to drink ...asshole" said Jason. "I'll bring you back some crappy health food. I'll get a danish. You want to come Josh?" "I think I'll stay here. If that's okay," he said more as a question looking at Nicky. "Okay... You guys have your pow wow. I know when I'm not wanted," Jason smiled and walked out the door. "Okay Nicky, what's up?" I asked as soon as Jason left. "It's Danny," he said starting to cry. "What about him? Is he okay?" "I don't know. I think so but I don't know. I haven't seen him since Tuesday. I can't see him anymore. I don't know what to do." "What happened? Did you have a fight?" "No!! It's his parents. They found out. They found out about Danny and me. It was really bad. They said we couldn't see each other anymore. They called my father and said I was a pervert and their son wasn't going to be one of 'those people'. He hasn't been in school. He hasn't been online and he doesn't answer his phone. I think his parents are going to pull him out and put him in a private school." I reached out and took his hand. "Nicky, I'm sorry. Are you okay? Your parents? What happened?" "I'm okay but my parents know everything. My father won't talk about it. He has barely said two words to me all week other than call me an embarrassment. My mother is trying to understand. She's upset but at least she still treats me like her son. It's bad though. Whenever she says anything my father starts an argument. We've talked some when he isn't around but she doesn't know what to do. She just says she loves me and to give Dad time." "Nicky, I'm sorry. I always thought your father would understand. He seems like a good guy." "He is. He's just disappointed in me and I can't really blame him." "Hey!!! Get that thought out of your head. You're not a disappointment to anyone. You're a good kid. " "I want him to be proud of me. Now I don't think he even likes me. I've tried talking to him but he just says he doesn't want to talk about it and leaves the room." "Nick, I'm sorry," said Josh. "You should have called me. We could have talked or something." "Thanks Josh but I heard what happened to Dan and knew you were busy. It just sucks. Danny and I would always talk on the phone or IM at night. I miss him." "But your Mom is handling it okay?" "She's disappointed. I think it's more about not having grandchildren than me being gay. I'm an only child. She just asks if I'm sure. She said it's normal for boys to experiment and maybe I'm not gay. She said it could be because Danny and I are friends and we have feelings for each other. That we were just experimenting. Do you think that could be right? Do you think I'll like girls? Then my father would like me again." "Nicky, come here," I said reaching out to put my arm around him. "Your father loves you. He's surprised, that's all and your mother could be right. It might just be that you and Danny cared about each other. You might like girls. Only you can answer that and you don't have to do it today. You'll probably date girls in high school. Aaron and I did. I'll be honest ...I knew. Even before Aaron, whenever I jerked off it was the image of a hot guy that came to mind. I tried thinking about some girl in school but it just didn't work. It was like night and day." "That's what I'm afraid of. My friends talk about the girls in our class all the time, which ones they like, which ones they think will have sex first, which ones they think have already had sex. Danny and I play along but that's all it is. Neither of us care." "I know what you mean. Been there, done that." "I just want my father to love me again. He will if I get a girlfriend." "Nicky, he does love you but you can't live your life to please him or anyone else. It's your life and you need to be happy. If you want a girlfriend then fine, find a girlfriend but don't do it because it's what someone wants you to do. Your Mom said to give him time. I know that probably doesn't help much but things might not be so bad after he's had some time to think about things. Maybe my father can talk to him. He didn't want to believe I'm gay for a long time. He's really only accepted it since I met Josh." "He already has. When this happened and my father heard about what happened to you he called your father and told him to keep you away from me. My father wasn't very nice. He thinks you've given me all kinds of crazy ideas. I heard him tell your father that I wasn't that way until I met you." "He's just upset. He'll realize that's not true." "I told him it wasn't. I told him why those kids were bothering me and Danny that night in the mall and that if it wasn't for you who knows what would have happened." I smiled. That's probably why I liked Nicky. No matter what someone said he sticks up for his friends. "Thanks Nick." "He just grunted and walked away. It sucks he won't talk to me. I'd rather have him yell than not say anything. He didn't want me going to karate but my mother told me to go. I had to ride my bike. He wouldn't drive me. Besides, I wanted to see you and he never would have brought me. He'd really be pissed if he knew I was here. " "I'm glad you came. I wish there was something I could do. I'll talk to my Dad. Maybe he can talk to him again, after he's had some time." "I just feel so alone. I've lost Danny. My father won't talk to me. My mother says she still loves me but I know she's disappointed. I had to talk to someone." "Come here," I said reaching out with my good arm. "We're friends Nick. Friends stick together. You know Josh and I will do anything we can, right?" "Thanks Dan. I needed to hear someone still cares." "You came to the right place then," I said holding him tight and kissing the top of his head. It hurt knowing he was upset. That's me. I care about my friends. I didn't know what to do to make him feel better though. All I could do was to be his friend." "Thanks Dan," he said kissing me on the cheek. "I don't feel quite as worthless now." "Hey, you're not worthless so stop that." "I was probably just living in some fantasy world. I thought Danny and I would be together forever. I'll be okay. Who knows, maybe I'm really not gay. Maybe we are just kids playing around. Maybe my mother is right. At least my father will like me if I say I like girls," he said looking down. "Nicky..." "I know," he said. "It wouldn't work anyway. I know the truth. ...I don't want a girlfriend. I want Danny. I want to hold him and protect him. I'm worried what's going to happen to him. Those religious people put kids in camps to 'cure' them of things like this don't they?" "I don't know Nicky. I've read about that stuff but it's only been in online stories. I've never actually heard of any such places for real. Do you think Danny's parents sent him somewhere?" "I don't know. I'm just worried about him. He and I talked what it would be like if his parents found out. He shouldn't have lost his temper." "What happened?" "I was at his house Tuesday night when his father came home. He had heard what happened to you. I guess they know the guy who attacked you or at least his father. They asked Danny if you ever did anything to him, if you ever touched him. It was bad. They were shouting all kinds of religious stuff, saying how you're going to hell and all that. Danny told them you're his friend and that you wouldn't do anything like that." "How did that lead to them finding out about the two of you? All he had to do was say he didn't know I'm gay." "They wouldn't quit. You should have heard some of the stuff they were calling you. They told Danny he had to stay away from you and that he couldn't go to karate anymore. They were sure you molested him or something." "That's ridiculous. I wouldn't do that." "I know. Danny knows it too even though he would like it if you did," he said trying to laugh. "That's not funny Nicky," I said frowning at Josh when he snickered. "It was like he had enough when they said that about you. All the religious stuff he's heard for years. He just had enough. They kept saying stuff and the more they talked the angrier he got. I tried to get him to walk away and stop arguing but he wouldn't. It was like all the words they were saying about you were directed at him. All he had to do was shut up but he wouldn't. He finally told them that if they felt that way about you then they had to feel the same way about him because he's 'one of those perverted freaks' too." "Oh man, why did he do that? I can understand him being upset but he didn't have to do that. He had to have known how they'd react." I smiled though. Even though he shouldn't have said it part of me was proud of him. "He was mad and you're his friend. He looks up to you, we both do. You've helped us accept who we are. You didn't hear the way they were talking. They have more compassion for a wounded animal in the road." "People like that are ignorant. It doesn't matter what they say." "They were sure you turned him gay and molested him or something. They were going to call your parents, the police, anyone who would listen. He was mad and didn't think. It just came out." It hurt thinking that people actually still correlated being gay with being a pervert. "I'd never hurt Danny ...or you," I said. "I know. Danny knows that too. His parents are just weird. They kept after him. They kept trying to get him to admit you did something. They didn't believe him. They kept talking about you saying how you deserved what happened. Danny flipped when they said that. That's when he said what he did." I didn't know if Danny was courageous or stupid. Probably a little of both and he just let his emotions get the better of him. I definitely knew what that was like. "Still, coming out in the heat of an argument." "It was unreal. I'd never seen him like that. He just laughed and told them nobody turned him gay, least of all you. He said he knew he was gay long before he met you so if anyone turned him gay it was them because he was born that way. ...Them and their God." "Shit... he said that?" "His mother slapped him when he said that. She was sure you had turned him that way. She said he was a good boy before he met you." "Did they just assume you are gay too?" "No, they told me to leave. They said it was a family matter and they needed to talk to Danny as a family. I couldn't do that. I couldn't just leave him. I love him. He just looked at me wondering what I was going to do. I couldn't leave him. It would have been like turning my back on him so I stood beside him and when I did he grabbed my hand, smiled and kissed me on the cheek. It was probably a mistake but it made me feel good. I told them Danny is my friend. I didn't say we were boyfriends or anything but they figured it out. His father grabbed me by the arm and threw me out the door saying we weren't to see each other again. I cried all the way home." Josh and I just stared at each other. Neither of us knew what to say. No amount of "it's okay" and "things are going to get betters" would fix this. "My parents were waiting for me when I got home. Danny's father had already called. He told my father everything including some things that never happened. He made it clear he didn't want me near Danny again. He said something like "keep that perverted son of yours away from my son and if he is smart he'd keep me away from you too. " "Nicky?" asked Josh. "Your father didn't hit you did he?" "No, I almost wish he had. That would almost be better than ignoring me. I'm more worried about Danny. I haven't talked to him in four days. His parents probably took away his computer and his phone. Otherwise he would have emailed." "That explains why he didn't answer the phone when I called this morning. Maybe his parents just kept him out of school for now. Maybe they'll calm down and he'll be back in school after Thanksgiving." "Maybe but I doubt it." "Nicky... I know there isn't anything Josh or I can say to take the hurt away but we are here for you. You know if there is anything I can do..." "I know Dan," he said. "I knew you'd understand. My parents don't understand two guys loving each other. My mother said two thirteen year-olds can't really be in love. We are though. I love him and he loves me. Why can't they understand?" "I know you do" I said holding him tight. He smiled and wiped his eyes. "Thanks Dan. I just needed to talk with someone who would understand. I know there is nothing you can do. There isn't anything anyone can do. I just have to wait. ...Tell me, how are you? I couldn't believe it when I heard what happened." "I'll heal. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Josh. He risked his life to save me. I wanted him to run but he wouldn't. He kicked Phil's ass. "He loves you. I couldn't run when Danny needed me either." "I know. I love him too. I love you too. Don't forget it." He gave me a smile. "I love you too Dan." I smiled. "There are all types of love Nicky." "I know. I didn't at first. When I first met you I thought when I jerked off thinking about you I was just being a perve." "Whoa bud. That's definitely getting into the too much information area," I said smiling. "Sorry, at least Danny and I were together at the time. We were messing around talking about you. It was when we were wondering how big your cock is. It was kind of like having a threesome. Danny even moaned 'Oh Dan' when he was holding me. Are you mad?" I laughed but it hurt. "Don't make me laugh. It hurts. Of course I'm not mad. I would think you would be though. I'd be upset if Josh did that." "Nah, it was cool. We'd both just been talking about you. I won't tell you what we said." "I don't think I want to know. I hope you don't mind if I've never done the same. I love you as a friend but that's it. You know that right? Not only am I 100% committed to Josh, you're too young for me." "I know. It was fun fantasizing when I was with Danny. It made for some good sex. We both think you're hot. ...Ah, sorry Josh, we think you're hot too," he said sheepishly. Josh laughed. "It's okay Nick. Just keep your hands off." "Are you guys done with your threesome," asked Jason walking back in carrying a bag of danish. "Here's yours," he said handing me a yogurt. "They only had three danish," he smiled. 'You can have the healthy crap." "Yeah, we're done. Want us to tell you about it?" "No, I heard enough he said looking at Nick. He isn't that hot kid," he said shaking his head. Nicky stayed around until my parents along with Scott and the Michaels showed up. I'm not sure my father appreciated him being there but didn't say anything about what was going on. I think they were getting tired of spending time in a hospital room too. Nobody stayed that long. Josh asked if I wanted him to stay but I told him to spend time with his parents. "Thanks," he smiled. "I love you. Now get out of here because Nicky is coming back soon to give me what you won't," I smirked. "Yup, you're getting better. I'll be back later." "Not too early. Chris and Ryan are coming too." I smiled giving him a kiss good-bye. The rest of the weekend was uneventful. Josh and Jason stopped by on their way to the airport Sunday morning. "Next time you come to Chicago." "No problem. Thanks for coming." "Anytime, you know that." "Give Andrea a kiss for me." "You better stay in touch." "I will. I promise." "Take care of yourself Dan. I'll always be there for you but let's stop with the emergency trips." "I love you," I said giving him a hug. "Thank you." "Anytime shithead. ...Anytime." To Be Continued
