I moved back into college roughly two weeks ago, so I've been busy catching up with friends, joining clubs, etc. So welcome week was kinda booked. Then I had school starting last Thursday. Woo... so guess who had a ton of running to do... Who knew getting a music minor would be so hard at my school! Jeeze, so many proficiency tests and auditions... This better pay off, otherwise... let's not talk about that... In any case, I've managed to finish it; I like this chapter compared to the last one :D It's cute, and for the first time, we're seeing the story through our little hero's eyes. * * * NOTE- Today's chapter contains some riddles. If you want, try to figure them out along side with Chris. ^^ Who knows what the answers might entail? * * * Usual copyright stuff/legal stuff... Blah blah blah. And sorry for the grammatical mistakes! My mind's been jumlbed up lately from all the running around >.> |~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~| Chapter 18 "A New Perspective" Woo! Hi guys! After 17 chapters, it's finally my turn to tell the story! For those of you who haven't caught on yet, today's story will be told in my-Chris's-perspective. It's about time too! Dylan's been hogging all the spotlight. Hmm! So uh... how do I start this thing? Do I just talk about what's going on right now or do I talk about what happened? Wow... this is harder then I thought... Dylan! Help me! How the hell do you do this?! ...Speaking of Dylan... isn't he dreamy? He's so hot... I love every part of him: his smooth body... his golden hair... his beautiful eyes... Ah my god! I'd do almost anything for him; even though it's the other way around haha. So back off fools! He's mine bitches! So uh... where was I?... I guess I'll talk about what's been happening for the past few days. Let's see... Tuesday's voting was a huge success, like Dylan said before. Other than that, nothing much happened school wise. All we have to do is have a dress rehearsal for the homecoming halftime next Thursday. BUT... at home was a different story. You see... the proposition I made to Dylan on Friday? Yeah... that kept going. And every single time I challenge him to something, he always wins! I should be mad, but hey, I ain't complaining; he's been fucking me every time, and I love it! Dylan's fucked me so much that he's dubbed this entire week our "bunny week." You know... because we've been acting like bunnies when you put two on them alone in a room. By Thursday, he promised me that he'd fuck my ass until I was sore for the next month. So to show him up, I've been telling him that my butt isn't hurting at all. But, I've been lying to him. Shh, don't tell him! Secretly, I enjoy the pain between the spankings I've been getting from him and the intrusion in between my cheeks. Oh! And ever since I bought that yard long paddling stick, I've been begging Dylan to use it on me everyday. I don't know why, but I love it when he spanks me. It makes me feel... naughty, which leads to raging hormones I guess. Nonetheless, I love it when he spanks my bottom. What did Dylan call it again?... Oh yeah, he said it was my fetish. While it isn't anything bad, he claims it might eventually lead to weirder things I might find erotic. I wonder what he means by that... But what I really love though, is when he teases me about spanking. From Wednesday to now, every time I "ask" Dylan to punish me, he'd use that black stick. He'd gently graze the leathery square around my butt before whacking it down hard on the cheeks, making me jolt a little every time. I don't know why, but the anticipation of the next thrash causes my hormones to heighten even more. That moment when I hold my breath and tense up for that burning pain... it's simply erotic to me. To make things better, the one doing it to me is the guy who I love to death. Also, sometimes as he's spanking me, he'd slowly brush the tip up and down in between my cheeks, causing me to tense up and hold my breath. Other times, he surprises me by spontaneously slapping my bare cheek with his hands while the leather is still on my other cheek, causing extra surprisement for me. After my little punishments, Dylan will then spread my legs and fuck me long and hard. You name a place in the house, we've probably fucked there. Whether it be the bathroom, all the bedrooms, the living room couch, backyard, kitchen counter top, hell even the stairs, I'll never be able to see the house the same again. I mean, we've been naughty at times where we just leave the cum stains and walk away. Just don't even use the guest bedroom's pillow, you've been warned! Again, all this fucking has made my ass sore to the max. But you know what? I'm loving every minute of it. Although Dylan and I did agreed to slow down A LOT after this weekend. Not only because of our fast and furious pace, but also because he said that we should be spending more time cuddling and loving each other. I wouldn't mind having more of that... It'll give him a break from slapping my butt so much too. I know how much he hates seeing me hurt at times (but I can't help it). Well, I guess I should talk about what's happening now. You see, it's Friday morning and I just woke up about thirty minutes before the alarm goes off. Gotta love Fridays right? Last day of class, no worries until come Monday, all that good stuff. But I'm in a bit of a dilemma. For some odd reason, Dylan's body is all over me today. That's kinda what woke me up. Usually, he'd be hugging me on the side with my butt scoot as far in against him as possible. But this... this position with me laying on my stomach and having Dylan on top of me with his arms wrapped around my chest is too weird for me. I struggle for a bit, trying to get myself out, but to no avail. Dylan just hugged me tighter. To make things worse, I need to pee! Like really bad! I wriggle myself a bit more, hoping that it'll wake him up. Thank god it did as Dylan responds with a yawn. "What are you doing?" he groans. "Trying to free myself so I can go pee," I urgently reply. "Oh..." he yawns, "Why am I in this weird position?" "I don't know..." I said with a testy attitude, "But can you let me go? I really need to pee." "Ok..." He untangles his arms and rolls to face the other way. I hastily pull over the blanket and rush into the bathroom. As soon as I get in front of the toilet, I bend over and let out a miserable stream of golden fluids. "Ah..." I sigh in relief, "Ugh... Nmm..." "Stop jacking off Chris!" I hear Dylan groan back, "Or at least shut the door so I don't hear you!" "Fuck you!" I shout back before returning my concentration to my dick in fear of it spraying my waste all over the place. "Love you too!" he replies. Oh I bet he has that smirk on his face... I shake my dick vigorously, flush the toilet, briefly wet my hands and dry them, and crawl underneath the blankets. Once my head touches my pillow, I snuggle up against Dylan's back and hug him. "How do you do this Dylan?" I ask. He sighs, flips over and cradles me. "There? Better?" he mumbles. "Yeah..." I sigh. "Good, now let me sleep... it's too early for me to operate correctly," he mutters. "Ok... Love you," I whisper. No response, only rhythmic breathing. I sigh deeply and close my eyes for another half hour of sleep. And... the alarm rings off before I know it. Well, the one good thing about having Dylan with me, I don't have to reach over to shut it off. Dylan can do it for me while I stay all snuggly underneath the blanket. "Time to get up snuggle bug," Dylan whispers into my ear after kissing me on the cheek. "Who are you, and what have you done to my boyfriend?" I giggle at his sensitive lips while scooting closer into him. "What do you mean?" I roll over and smile at his god-like face. "I've never seen you this enthusiastic about waking up this early." "Oh... I don't know. I guess it's because I didn't completely fall back asleep when you woke me up earlier." "Oh..." "In any case..." he says while flipping the blanket off him. "I need the restroom." Before I can say anything, he scoots off the bed and walks out of the room. I sigh lay back down on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Why is he so peppy today? Usually, I'd be the one who's all happy... Hmm, I wonder why... "Penny for your thoughts?" I jump a little and scoot away at the sound of Dylan's voice. He snickers a little as I twist my face at him. "Jeeze! Don't scare me like that!... When did you get in here anyways?" "Oh, just a few seconds ago. Really Chris, I'm ashamed at you..." he wags his finger at me, "I'm pretty sure my ways of noticing things have rubbed off onto you. I guess I was wrong." "Whatever Dylan..." I scoot to my side of the bed. "So, what's wrong?" he asks me, sitting down next to me. "Oh nothing... just thinking is all," I slump my shoulders. Dylan scoots in closer and wraps his arm around me, pulling me for a side hug. "Well, whatever it is, you know that I'm always there for you." "Thanks Dylan... and I'll always be there for you, like today." "Oh... thanks for reminding me..." he groans. "What? I'm ready for it, and it'll be great getting to see Brandy get mocked by everyone." "I guess... we'll see ok? For now, let's worry about actually getting to school." "Fine..." I sigh and roll my eyes. We jump off the bed and hastily throw on boxers, shirts, jeans, and a jacket. Hey, it's finally starting to get cold now. While Dylan heads downstairs to prepare breakfast, I head into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I finish in about three minutes and head downstairs filled with a wonderful aroma surrounding the kitchen area. I sit down at the countertop and Dylan places a plate of toast with eggs on top. "Thanks Dylan... you're the best," I whisper. "You're welcome babe. Now eat up so we can go," he replies with a kiss on the cheek. I smile at him and gobble down the food. How the hell does he make everything taste so delicious? Even something as simple as eggs on bread. Oh yeah... he said something about "made with love..." Psh, yeah right. Dylan takes out two more toasts that just popped out of the toaster and spreads honey on it. "Why didn't you put eggs?" I ask after gulping down my last bite, followed by some juice. "Because that was the last of the eggs. And you know me." "Aww... that's sweet Dylan... but I would've settled with one egg... Oh shit!" I wince at my choice of words when I saw Dylan smirk at me. "I'll forgive you just this once," he snickers back. "But you walked right into that one." "Yeah, I realized it after you made that face..." We glance around the room awkwardly since there isn't much to say. Dylan finishes the last of his breakfast and looks at the microwave clock. "Well we better get going," he announces. "Yeah..." We grab our backpacks and head out the door. Dylan taps his front two pockets and his left cheek to make sure he had his stuff before sitting down in the car. He starts it up and away we go!...... Today's going to be a long day... As usual, we make it with five minutes to spare. In no time, we're within the gated area and a few steps from my locker. "Oh that's what I forgot..." Dylan says out of nowhere. "I've got to go do something Chris. I'll see you in class ok?" "Ok...?" I guess as he runs off somewhere. Shrugging my shoulders, I turn to open my locker. As soon as I do though, a letter falls to the ground. Curious, I pick it up and study it. It was a simple white envelop with my name written in cursive on the front. The other side was sealed shut with the sticky part with a sticker in a shape of a heart. Hmm, I wonder who gave it to me... I open it up and read the letter inside: To my beloved Chris, If you are reading this, it probably means that I've disappeared off to who knows where. You see, the thing I forgot to do was to defeat a menacing dragon otherwise known as Brandy. She's been planning on doing something, I just know it. And I intend on finding out just what it is. So in the meantime, I've decided to let you play a little trivia. Throughout the day, you will find eight riddles that you'll have to solve. All answers will only be one word, so that'll make things easier for you. Once you get all eight, it should form a sentence that'll blow your mind. Until then, you won't be able to see me, since I'll be busy doing surveillance throughout the whole day. Sorry, but spying is a lot of work ok? :o With oodles of love, Dylan. Wow!... he leaves me for that bitch?! Oh just wait until I get my hands on you Dylan Wolfe... I let loose a long and deep sigh. Guess I'll have to solve these so called riddles if I want to strangle him later. Jeeze, why do it today when we have a huge announcement to make to everyone at lunch?... This isn't like Dylan... pussying out on something as important as this... Of all days to do this!... I pull out the books I need and head off to Pre-Calc... alone... I enter the class room with a minute to spare. I set my backpack down next to me and notice another envelop of the same size on my desk. Guess that's the first riddle. I flip it over and see the same sticker on it, but this time, it contained the number one on top. I tear it open and read the content inside. It reads: "This word cannot be used currently. At the same time, this word can also be used to express ones power and courage to go on... just like what you've using to fight against Brandy for the past few weeks. P.S- since it's the first riddle, I'll give you an extra hint: _ _ _ _" Hmm... four letters... can't be used currently, as in not now? So later basically... unless it's the past. Wait... the second part also says that the word can be used to define power and courage. Resistance? No... that word can be used right now... Eh... I'll think about it later; Mrs. Powell's starting class. "Ok class, before I start class, I have an announcement to make... Settle down..." she groans. "Ok, I have some bad news... I have some urgent family business to attend to starting next week- I know... you guys are all so sad boohoo..." Jeeze woman! Just get to the point! "So, the bad news is that I'm canceling the test for chapter 3 next week," she announces. The entire class cheers and applauds. "However! That doesn't mean you get to slack off. Homework is still collected! And I do believe the next batch is due next Tuesday... So better get to it." "We will Ms. Powell," the class responds in unison. Suddenly, it hits me like a ten ton rock. "Oh!..." I breath out, somewhat loudly since some pairs of eyes wonder into my direction. "Sorry," I blush and shrink into my seat. Everyone returns they're gaze back onto the board as I silently giggle to myself. 'Will...' I think to myself. 'That's the word..." It can't be used now since it expresses the future, and it also means one's inner strength, just like how I'm putting up with Brandy's stupidity. Sneaky Dylan... very sneaky. I scribble down the word on the letter so that I don't forget it and stare at the board. Great... what was Mrs. Powell talking about again? Well, I've managed to understand what she was saying in the end. As the bell rings, I pack up my stuff and head to Chemistry. Woo... another math related class... Just as I'm about to enter the classroom, I hear someone shouting my name. "Chris! Wait up!" I look over my shoulder and see Matt rushing up to me. He steadies his breathing for a second and holds out another envelop. "Here... from Dylan." "Oh, thanks Matt..." I look at the letter. "By the way, do you know where Dylan is?" "No idea," he pants. "Anyways... woo!... I gotta get to class. See you at lunch." "Ok, see ya." I wonder into the room and sit down at my seat. I guess I'll have to wait until the end of class to read the letter; Mr. Salazar can be picky about stuff not relating to his class. Well, at least I lucked out again today. Salazar finishes his lesson with five minutes to spare, so he let us talk amongst ourselves. As soon as he turns his back around, I tear open the envelop Matt gave me and read the letter. "This word is really easy. If I am Lord Amazing over the lands of awesomeness and sexiness, then who is my little snuggle bug? P.S. (again). Think in my perspective." "You," I whisper as softly as I can so that no one will hear me. Well, at least Dylan's right about something; this riddle was easy. I wonder if the next one is just as easy as this one. The bell rings soon after and I head off to my next class: History... Why do I have to take this class?... I mean, we're talking about dead guys for Christ's stake! We don't need to know about that! Ah well... at least I'm getting an A in that class. I hope I pass the AP exam in May though... Just like Chemistry, another one of my friends interjects me at the front door and hands me a letter. This time, it was Joey. I thank him as he runs off to the distant lands. How the hell do they all run so fast? I tear open the letter and give it a read. "This one's easy too... Red means stop, green means..." "You've gotta be kidding me..." I mutter to myself as I cross the room and sit down in my seat. "Jeeze Dylan, at least make them slightly harder..." I quickly write down the answer (go) and stare outside the window as class begins. What were we suppose to be learning again today? "Ok class, see you tomorrow. And remember! Your third writing assignment is due today!" the teacher announces as everyone is packing up. "Ugh... do we have to?" someone from the back asks. "But of course! You decided to sign up for the AP course. So expect work. How else are we going to prepare you for the test come May?" While he's quickly rambling on about the wonders of AP tests, I quickly slip out of the class room and walk down to my favorite class, English. But only because Dylan's in that class, nothing more. (Sorry Mr. Fledging). Strange thing is, Dylan didn't show up when I enter the classroom. I know that he's disappeared throughout the day, but shouldn't he be at least in class? Huh... unless he's ditching... that bastard... At least take me with you! The late bell rings and I sigh sorrowfully as I glance at the empty table to the right of me. Mr. Fledging walks up to me and notices my downing mood. "What's on your mind?" he asks. "Oh nothing... I just thought Dylan'll be in class today," I sigh. "Ah yes... Dylan. Smart guy, but extremely lazy if you ask me..." Mr. Fledging rambles. "Tell me about it..." "Well, he did tell me to give this to you today and the asked me to tell you that he won't be in class today since he's busy helping ASB get ready for homecoming." He holds out another envelope and places it in front of me. "Thank you," I reply. "You're very welcome. Now let's get class started," he states while walking away. "Don't forgot about the bulletin!" I shout to him while giggling. He stops in his tracks and nods once before walking again to the front of the class. Msn, he always forgets. "Hello everyone! This is Heather with your daily bulletin. Student section: Friday, November 8th... Here's to all the hardworking princesses for homecoming! Remember, next Wednesday is the deadline to vote. I repeat, next Wednesday is the last day to vote." Boring... we (my friends and I) already know that Carrie won, all thanks to Dylan's plan. It was simply ingenious of him to have people vote right on the spot. I mean, to actually use his popularity to his advantage is just... wow... I never knew Dylan was capable of doing that. Like, when was the last time you heard of Dylan Wolfe speaking out to a crowd in school? Never! But I digress... I think Heather's almost done with the announcement. "And now," she continues, "we have a special announcement from our very own Dylan Wolfe!" "Hello everyone. Some of you may know me, to the few who don't, my name is Dylan Wolfe, as the amazing Heather just said... Anyways, today, I'm here to tell you all a secret." Oh no... is he going to? "To all the pretty ladies out there, I'm extremely sorry for this, but I'm officially in a relationship now." I swear, every single girl in my class either gasped or jumped into the air. But I had no time to worry about them. I lean forward and strain my ears to hear what Dylan's going to say next. "Again, I'm sorry, but I've met the person of my dreams. Who is it you might ask? Well, it's rather obvious really... he's none other than Christopher Tanner." Every single pair of eyes in the class shifts over and stares at me. I look around the room and shrug my shoulders. Oops? I blush a little as Dylan's voice projects again on the announcement. "Now I know all of you are shocked to hear this, but it's true. I'm gay, and I'm in love with the cutest boy in the world. So, I'm just going to say this right now; I don't care what rumors you spread about me, and I certainly don't care if I lose my popularity. To all the curious ones out there, yes, he's my first. Before that, I've never had so much as a kiss from anyone... I'm terribly sorry to all the girls who tried so hard over the pass five years to get me; I was never interested in any of you to begin with... I hope this doesn't stop you though from finding someone else. Again, I'm terribly sorry." Silence... absolute silence from the entire school. If someone were to drop a pin, the entire school, plus the neighborhood, can hear and pinpoint the exact location of the sound. And there I am... mouth wide open, shocked that Dylan decided to go even bigger by telling the entire school instead of showing to a few people during lunch. Wow... he's got balls, I'll tell you that. "Well..." Mr. Fledging starts slowly to break the silence. "I think... we should get started..." I snap out of my trance and stare forward at the board, trying to ignore all the dumbfounded stares I'm getting from all the guys and all the death glares from the girls. Great... now I need to think of a way to get out of class before everyone tramples me. "Hey-hey!" Mr. Fledging calls out to the class, "What Chris and Dylan are doing is none of your business. And I expect everyone to respect their privacy and no bombard Chris with a million questions." Thank you Mr. Fledging... at least he got most of the students to back off. Looking down, I notice Dylan's letter... That's right, Dylan's letter! I still have to solve the next riddle! Tearing it open, I read the short note. "I hope you're not mad at me for telling the whole school our secret 50 minutes early. But yeah... this was more effective, don't you think? Anyways, here's the riddle: I will always be right next to you. Whether it's literal or in spirit, I will accompany you to the very end. What word describes what I just said? And this is my apology gift to you for not following through with your plan exactly. So, another hint is: this word also sounds like a side of a rectangle. PS- Go to the ASB office today during lunch. You'll be safer there alongside your friends." Hmm... next to you, accompany you, rectangle...and what's with alongside being in there? Why not just say 'with you'-wait... Oh you sneaky bastard Dylan. The word's with isn't it... Oh my god, I see... I see... I'll always be with you... and width? You know, homophones... Again, that sneaky bastard. Wait 'till I get my hands on you for this... I write down the answer and see what I have so far. Will, you, go, with. Ok, so it's a question. I'm pretty sure the next word is going to me 'me.' It's a hunch... a really, really big hunch. Anyways, I put the letter alongside the others and stare back onto the board. Five minutes before class ends, I ask Mr. Fledging to leave early since I had to use the bathroom really bad. He sees right through me however, but doesn't a say a word, other than letting me out early. I thank the man and quickly rush out to the safe haven of the ASB room. On the way out though, I see glares of hatred in everyone's eyes, either it's me leaving early or the fact that I just stole the man of every women's dreams all for myself. Teehee, sorry ladies. I can't help it that he's in love with me. As soon as I enter ASB though, the bell rings and Carrie rushes over me to shut the door tight. "Ok Chris, Dylan told me to tell you that he's not here at the moment, and that I'm to give you this." She hands me, yet again, another letter. "Oh... thanks Carrie, although I kinda figured that he wouldn't be here anyways..." "AND! He also told me to give you this." She grins and holds out paper bag. "I know that I'm not the best at cooking compared to Dylan, but I hope this'll make do." "Thanks Carrie." "It's the least I can do for Dylan, and for you. I know what it's going to be like as soon as you step outside the those doors." "Yeah... chaos, people attacking me with questions, all the girls giving me the death glare..." I sigh. "Well, Dylan has his reasons for doing it," Carrie sympathetically states. "Oh you didn't know?" I raise an eyebrow. "Know what?" she asks. "It was my idea to let the school know about us. But we were suppose to do it during lunch and let the rumors spread." "Oh... that'd make more sense actually..." she trails off, "Then what's with the envelope?" "What, this?" I hope out the letter. "Dylan ditched me today and I can't see him until I've solved all eight answers. He says that the sentence will blow my mind, or something like that." "So that's why he went off campus in a such a hurry..." Carrie mutters to herself. "What was that?" I ask. "Oh nothing... if I know Dylan, you're going to be in for a big surprise," she grins and walks away before I can do anything. Huh... ah well, it's probably nothing. I sit down on one of the desks and see what Carrie made for me. A sandwich, juice pouch, and a bag of candy. Shrugging my shoulders, I unwrap the sandwich and take a bite out of it while opening the letter Dylan prepared. "Ok, I'm giving you a freebie since it's lunch. The next word is "me." Better remember it :)" Well that was easy... I take another bite of my sandwich and gulp down some of the juice. The rest of lunch goes by without a hunch. Carrie managed to get a late pass to my class from one of the staff members. That way, I can leave after the final bell rings so no one will be outside waiting for me. Peeking my head out the doors, I quietly sneak out of ASB and act all ninja-like to my next class, German. At usual, the teacher fusses about me being late, but couldn't do anything about it since I had a note. She throws the note into her desk drawer and takes out yet another envelope. Hmm... I wonder what the next word is... So, double-edged sword time. My desk is in the back, that way people won't be able to stare at me. Bad news? As I'm walking back, everyone's eyes are still on me. Jeeze guys... it's not that big of deal! Sheesh... can't I have a boyfriend? I sit down and tear open the sixth riddle Dylan's given me throughout the day. "Ok, this is easy. This word can be used differently for a total three times. 1. First, thou shall count to three, no more, no less... 2. Infinitive. 3. An excess of something. By the way, I'm so smart for coming up with this word during your German class teehee. ^.^ And we're almost there to the final and last question! Isn't the excitement just killing you?" Hmm... counting to three... so numbers? Ok. The infinitive... what did that mean again? Oh yeah... the 'to' form of verbs... OH... the word is 'to.' Counting one, 'two,' three, the 'to' form of running, and an excess of something, like 'too' much. Haha, I get it... I write down the word and think back to the other riddles he gave me. Will. You. Go. With. Me. To... Ok, to where though? A dinner? The movies? A date? He said eight riddles, so it has to be two words... hmm... And... before I know it, class ends. I envy you Dylan... you only have one more year before you get out of here while I have to stay for another three. Ah well... in any case, I pack up my things and head out towards Study Hall. At the door though, I couldn't help but glance back at the room next to me, hoping that Dylan will pop out and walk alongside me to class like any other day... The final bell rings, removing any last hope I have left. Sighing, I turn around and walk to class. I wonder where he is right now... probably avoiding Brandy at all cost I bet. Now that I think about it, maybe the reason why he didn't want to be near me is because he's afraid of Brandy hurting me. So he's diverting the attention towards him so the fan club will avoid me. ...That's why he said something about spying on Brandy... He's so sweet... planning something as elaborate as this and still thinking about every possible outcome... But what if Brandy decided to use me to her advantage? Nah... Dylan probably thought of a way to that problem. I enter Study Hall and see Caleb sitting in out usual spot. I wave to him as I walk towards him. "Hey," I greet as I sit down. "Guess what I got..." he teases back. "A white envelope from Dylan right?" I answer. "Wow... did Dylan successfully teach you how to read people's minds?" "Nah... I've just been getting them all day. So I'm guessing you hold riddle number seven." "Riddle?" Caleb questions. "Yeah... Oh just give me the letter and I'll show you." Caleb hands me the letter and I tear it open. Unfolding the white piece of paper, we both peer down and study the moon-runes Dylan put on it. "Coming home," is all it states. "What riddle?" Caleb asks. "Hmm..." I hum out while closing my eyes. "Hello... earth to Chris..." "Sh! I'm thinking..." I hush back. Coming home... coming... home coming. "Oh! Homecoming!" I blurt out. "What?" Caleb asks. "The answer to the riddle dummy. It's homecoming!" "I'm not following..." "Oh let me just show you." I pull out the other riddles I've gotten throughout the day. "See, each letter contains a riddle, and I've solved seven out of the eight." "So..." Caleb says while studying the letters, "What does it say now?" "Umm... Will you go with me to homecoming..." I mumble out while piecing together the words. Suddenly, a batch of roses pop up in front of my face. I jolt a little and look up to see Dylan grinning at me. "Dylan!" I gasp while standing up to pounce him. "Whoa! Careful Chris... these roses took a lot of time to get..." he says. "Sorry... it's just that I missed you so much..." I let go of him and take the roses off his hands. "Whoa..." "These are origami roses. I think I made about 20 of them? Can't remember," he says while sitting down. "Wow... they look so pretty..." "And since they're made of paper, they won't wilt, much like how our love won't die," Dylan states. "Aww... that's so sweet..." Caleb points out. Dylan looks at him and Caleb blushes. "But Dylan," I begin, "What about the last riddle?" "Oh! I almost forgot. What do you have so far?" he asks me, "Umm... will you go with me to homecoming?" I reply while fitting the letters in that order. Dylan places one final card on the bottom, with a simple word... Yes. "Of course I will," he whispers in my ear. Those words catch me by surprise as teardrops roll down my cheeks. The funny thing is, I don't know why I'm crying. I mean, I'm suppose to be happy right? Then why am I crying? "Pst. Chris," Dylan starts again. "This is the time where you're suppose to give me that batch of roses." "Oh..." I sniffle while rubbing the tears away and hand him the paper roses. Unable to hold myself any longer, I jump onto Dylan for the second time and hug him tight. Gradually, one-by-one, the students start from simple clapping to downright cheering. It got so bad that the teacher had to interject and calm everyone down. I finally let go of Dylan and punch him in the arm. "Ow... what was that for?" he asks. "For not following through with my plan," I say back, but then hug him again. "Oh right... sorry about that..." My inside's get all bubbly and I can't help I but smile. Of course, Dylan catches me in the act and pokes fun at me. "What? I can't help it," I say in defense. "I'm going to homecoming with you!" "Mhm..." "But Dylan, what did you do throughout the day then?" I ask out of curiosity. "Oh... well I basically tried to avoid you at all cost for the day. At the same time, I was attracting Brandy's attention so she wouldn't have time to think about you." "How did you do that?" Caleb asks. "Oh you know, popping out of nowhere in front of her so she's forced to try and catch up to me. Oh boy that was fun while it lasted," he nonchalantly says. "And you didn't get caught?" I ask in amazement. "Of course, I know every nook and cranny this school has to offer," Dylan proudly states, "Use them to your advantage guys, always remember that." "Well I need to know them first..." Caleb mutters. "Don't worry," Dylan reassures Caleb by scuffing his hair, "I'll show you guys everything by year's end so you can do some stuff, if you know what I mean." "Jeeze Dylan..." I exasperate, "Really?" "Of course," he grins back. "Whatever..." I scoff back. |~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~| Again I'm terribly sorry for the delay. School's starting, lots of things to do, etc. So, keep this in mind as the story postings will be even more sporadic than before. In any case, I hope you liked it. If anyone is interested in making the rose, one variation is this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq0WKQZMnt8 (Credit goes to whoever made this video.^^) * * * As for the idea about homecoming, you're more than welcome to use it lol. You can even put one origami rose among other real ones and say, "My love will last until the last rose wilts." But that last rose is made of paper. Boom! Romanticism right there! * * * I encourage you all to get ready and ask that special someone to homecoming! Don't you just love how I've managed to line up the story so close to it? ^.^
