Goy something going on this coming weekend that is gonna take up a lot of time. But I promise next week, we'll get back to the normal schedule....as long as God's willin' and the crick don't rise. LOL Here's Chapter 7...... Fup ****************************************************************************** FROM CHAPTER 6 "We're good." David said, not a question. "Yep, good." "Well, guess we'd better get back to our project, huh? Want a soda?" David leapt off the bench and ran toward the fence giggling. Kelly followed, threatening bodily harm when he caught up to him. UNDER PRESSURE/HIGH SCHOOL 7 - Dates and Things Wednesday was definitely better than Tuesday. The weather was better, and David's mood was better. He felt he had finally admitted to himself, and Kelly, exactly how he felt. The boys had returned to the library in a totally different mood than when they left, and were finally good-naturedly 'kicked out' of the library bu the librarian when their giggling and whispering had caused some nasty looks from the other library patrons. They had spent the rest of the evening walking around town, staying close to the library to make sure they didn't miss Kelly's ride home. It had turned out to be a pretty good evening. Now, walking through the doors at school, David felt like yesterday had been a bad dream. He got his books, and started toward the normal lair. He wiped the smile off his face as he approached his friends, giving a sly wink to Kelly. Not saying a word, he leaned back against the lockers and stared straight ahead. The tension from his friends was palpable. Their conversation quieted as David just stood there, not saying a word. Greeting David with a muted voice, Steve leaned over and whispered, "C'mon, we need to talk, now." Then he grabbed David's arm and pulled him away toward a semi-private corner. "Look," he said seriously, "I don't know what's going on here, but quit acting like a dick." David looked at Steve, raising his eyebrows. "Yes, a dick. I may not be one of your life-long friends, but I can see you're being a huge asshole here. What the hell is wrong with you anyway?" "First I'm a dick, then an asshole...you trying to say something, Steve," David replied, barely holding in the chuckles. "Yeah, you're fucked up. It's easy to see how close you and Kel are, man. Now wait," Steve defended at David's sharp glance, "let me finish, you hardhead. You guys are tight, like super best friends. And you two are messing it up with your crap the last two days. All I'm saying is that you need to get over it and back to normal." Glancing down the hallway, it looked like Kelly was going through the same speech from the other three. Suddenly, David through his arms around Steve, and gushed, "Ohhh, Steve, we didn't know you cared." Then he started chuckling. Shocked, Steve shrugged out of David's theatrical embrace, backing up a step. Looking at his laughing friend, he grumbled, "You two worked it out already, didn't you?" At David's nod, he continued. "And you made me go through all this? You are a dick!" Then he joined in the laughter. Getting serious for a moment, David looked at Steve, "Look, thanks, really. It's nice to know you guys care, ya know?" "Well, we sorta had a talk this morning, Jim, Sean, Mark, and I. And it was determined," Steve pushed out his chest, "that we were gonna take care of the crap, since you two were acting like assholes." David smiled, starting back toward the others, who were now laughing and joking like normal. "Crap, assholes, dicks, man I really think you have some issues, Steve." Steve punched David on the shoulder, "Maybe, maybe not, but if you guys act like that again, we're gonna kick the crap out of you two assholes." "Promises, promises," David grinned. Then he put his hand on Steve's shoulder, "Thanks, man." "No sweat, just don't let it happen again. I mean if we didn't stay friends, who would play chauffeur?" The two boys laughingly joined the rest of their friends, David smiling warmly at Kelly. The teens joked and laughed until the first bell rang a few minutes later. The morning passed quickly into lunchtime, and as the boys were sitting at their table, Sally arrived with Polly and another of her friends. She looked at David questioningly, and at David's smile and gesture to sit, the girls joined the table. "Let the games begin," thought David with a smile. Then directing his attention to Sally, he said, "Hey, I never thanked you for the necklace. It's nice." Sally blushed a little at the 'awwww's' from around the table, and smiled back, "You're welcome, it doesn't mean were going together, just I like you." It was David's turn to blush, "Well, thanks." Amongst the wiggling eyebrows of the guys around the table, Polly asked Kelly, "Hey, Sally and I are going to the movies Friday night, you two want to come?" David glanced at Kelly, who smiled at him, then replied, "That sounds fun, ok Dave?" "Sounds good to me, as long as it's not a tear-jerker," then he added with a smile, "cos, I get soooooo depressed." Then he collapsed forward, his forehead on his crossed arms, laughing. As the laughing around the table died, David realized that he had just agreed to a date with a girl. But, he also realized that his boyfriend would be there too. He thought it might not be too bad. The teens around the table continued chatting until the bell rang for class, then went their way to the next class. During AP Geometry, Kelly and David had a chance to discuss their pending date. "Soooo," Kelly began, grinning. "What? We can't help it women fall all over us," David joked back. "Well, it's going to be interesting to see what happens." "Yeah, as long as I don't get confused and kiss the wrong person." Kelly laughed, getting a 'be quiet' look from the teacher, and answered, "Not that I would mind, but I think our dates would." David gave an exaggerated shudder, "Yeah, no question." The boys went back to work, each in their own thoughts of what Friday night would hold for each of them. The next day came the expected ribbing from the other four friends about their 'girlfriends.' Kelly and David laughed and joked with their friends about different scenarios for the next night, each getting more and more outrageous. Finally, quiet Mark spoke up with a grin, "Well, how many of US have a date tomorrow night?" "Awww, Mark," complained Sean, "I thought we were going up to the bird sanctuary tomorrow night and make babies." ****NOTE FROM FUP**** The Bird Sanctuary was a wooded area on a back road up in the mountains, close to town. It, along with a few other places, was a favorite make out place for our school. At least for those who could drive. It was also a favorite place for "fuck busting," which will be explained later. LOL ****NOW BACK TO OUR SCHEDULED BROADCAST**** Mark snorted, and replied, "In your wildest dreams, homo." "C'mon, Markie," Sean laughed, "you promised." Mark grinned. "I'm going with Steve anyway," he teased. Steve being Steve, couldn't resist. "Yeah, we'd make better looking babies anyway." The group broke into hysterics, getting some strange looks from the other students passing by. Steve stopped a girl walking by and asked, putting his arm around Mark, "Hey, don't you think we'd make beautiful babies?" Then he grinned sweetly. "Gross," the girl spat, "that's just wrong." Then she walked away in a huff. Steve yelled after her, "You're just jealous." Once again the six of them broke out into laughter. Steve squeezed Mark's shoulder, then let go. "Sorry about that, bud, it was a joke you know." "Yeah, yeah, sure," Mark grinned. "I'm just using you to get to David, anyway," Steve laughed. "Hey, he's taken!" interjected Kelly, putting his arm around David. "Hands off," then he began laughing again. "My hero," swooned David, collapsing backward into Kelly's arms. "Ok, ok, enough lovey-dovey crap," chuckled Sean. The home room bell rang, and it was back to the grind for the boys. At lunch, Sally and Polly stopped briefly by their table to let Kelly and David know that her mother would be picking them up at 7:00 that evening for the 7:45 movie. They plodded through the rest of their classes - why did Friday's seem so long? They were at David's locker at the end of the day when David asked, "Hey, Kel, why don't you see if you can just spend the night at my house. That way Sally's mom won't have to drive you all the way back home." Kelly grinned, "Sounds like a plan, give me a call after you ask your mom and dad." The boys went their separate ways, each knowing what was in store for them when they arrived home. David's mom wasn't home more than two minutes before she started gushing, "Oh, David, this is your first real date. Make sure you dress nice, you want to make a good impression on your girlfriend." David rolled his eyes, "Mom, it's just a movie. It's not like we're getting married or anything, jeez." "Yes, but you never know," his mom teased. "Mom!" David blushed. "Oh, can Kelly spend the night? That way Sally's mom won't have to take him home, he can just come here." "Yes, Kelly MAY spend the night," his mom corrected. "No sense in running Sally's mom all over town." "Cool, thanks mom," David enthused, then called his boyfriend to give him the good news. Their plans solidified, David began getting dressed for his date. Blue jeans, polo shirt and sneakers seemed to be the minimum that would pass his parents' standards for tonight. He thought that if they would have their way, he'd be in a suit and tie. Ugh. It was close to 7:00 when the doorbell rang. He got up to answer it, to find his mom already ushering Sally into the house. "Come on in, Sally. David's...oh, well, he's here." David blushed at his mom's enthusiasm. Sally rolled her eyes a little, and David grinned. This might not be too bad after all. "What time are you coming home?" she asked Sally. "Right after the movie, Mrs. Barker. Mom has to go to work tonight at 10." "Oh, ok, that's wonderful." Both teens rolled their eyes at his mom's antics, and after saying their goodbyes, walked out to the car. "Parents," Sally giggled. "Yeah, weird," David agreed. They got into the car to find Kelly and Polly already in the back seat. He and Sally slid into the front with Sally's mom, who gushed almost as bad as David's. It was an embarrassing ride to the theater, and all four were glad to get out of the car. The boys, under orders from their parents, paid for the tickets, popcorn and soda, and the four of them went in to get seats. Settling into the middle of row about two-thirds back from the screen, the girls on the outside, with Kelly and David sitting next to each other, they chatted about school and general topics until the movie started. About halfway through the moie, Sally whispered, "David, want to hold my hand?" "Uhh, sure," he replied, glad the dark theater hid his flushed face. Sally locked fingers with him and gave a little sigh. David just rolled his eyes, glimpsing Kelly in the same position. They grinned at each other a little, and shrugged, then went back to watching the movie. A little later, David moved his left hand along the edge of the seat to get more comfortable, and brushed against Kelly's right. Smiling a little, he slightly rubbed the back of Kelly's hand with a finger. He felt Kelly move his hand closer, pressing against his fingers. Sliding their hands further under the mutual armrest, they locked their little fingers together. They kept their fingers that way until the movie was almost over and reluctantly let go. They stayed in their seats until the crowd of people exiting the theater had thinned out, the girls still holding hands with their dates, then they got up to leave. David made a motion to release Sally's hand, but she just squeezed harder. David sighed and kept his hand in hers, walking out of the theater to where her mom's car was parked. Getting back into the car, all four teens blushed as Sally's mom commented on how cute they were holding hands. The hand holding soon ended as the four discussed what parts they liked about the movie, the two in front turning toward the back seat to carry on the conversation. There was an awkward moment when they arrived at David's house, until David gave Sally a peck on the cheek and said what a good time he had. Kelly performed the same action, getting more 'how' cute's' from Sally's mom. "See ya Monday," both boys said in unison, as they left the car. They looked at each other as the car was backing down the driveway and shrugged in unison, breaking out into chuckles as they waved at the departing car and its occupants. Walking toward the house, David observed, "Well, that wasn't too bad." "Not really as bad as I thought, but when you grabbed my pinky, I thought I was going to bust out laughing." "Well," David said, blushing, "I'm glad you didn't." "Yeah, would have ruined the moment, huh?" Kelly joked. "Yep," David answered, going through the door. The boys were the center of attention as David's parents and sister 'interviewed' them about their evening. After a few questions, they begged off, saying they were tired and were going downstairs to sleep. "Glad you had a good time, boys," David's mom said. "The next time you four go out, I'll drive, ok?" "Sure," David answered, looking at Kelly with a grin, "we'll let ya know when that is ok?" "Ok, boys, good night." "Night mom." Kelly and David went down the basement steps, flipping on the small light next to the mattress. Cocking his head, Kelly stopped undressing when he had his shirt off. "What?" David asked, pausing in unbuttoning his jeans. "Shhh, hear that?" Kelly asked. "What the heck are you talking about? You hearing voices in your head again?" "Shhhh, I wanna hear what they're saying." David giggled at his boyfriend who looked like the puppy in the RCA advertisements, "Gonna tell me what they're saying, you goof? "Shhhh, it's a secret." "Well, then whisper it." "Ok," Kelly agreed, moving his face to David's ear. He was almost close enough to whisper, when David turned his face and kissed his boyfriend on the lips briefly. Kelly stared at him intently, somewhat worrying David, then he grinned, "You heard 'em too, huh?" David laughed, "You ARE a goof, you know that?" "Yeah, I know. But......" "I love you anyway," David completed the statement. Kelly laughed, stripping down to his briefs then slipped under the blankets, watching David as he finished undressing. David smiled at his boyfriend's gaze, shook his brief-clad butt a little at him, then turned out the small light, slipping into bed beside Kelly. "And what were you looking at?" he inquired. "Not much," Kelly teased. "Not much, huh? Well, then guess that tells me what your standards are." "Yep," Kelly giggled. "Why do I put up with you?" David asked, pushing himself up on one elbow, looking down at Kelly, almost invisible in the dark. He saw the gleam of Kelly's teeth as he smiled. "Cos you have to," Kelly answered quietly. "No, more like cos I want to, Kel," David stated, once again leaning down to kiss Kelly's lips. Kelly's fingers rubbed across David's bare chest. "Me too. So what did you think about tonight?" "Well it was fun, I guess. I liked the movie, and it's not like Sally was all over me or anything. I guess I had a good time." "Yeah, me too," began Kelly, then, "so you wanted HER to be all over you?" "What do you think, goof?" David laughed softly, collapsing on his back as Kelly pushed him down, resting his head on David's chest. "I think....you wanted me all over you." ***************************************************************************** Ohhhhh, the first 'car date'. LOL Complete with gushing parental unit.
