He strode in wearing his full military uniform with all of his orders. It was very impressive. He stood and held out his arms for me to remove his coat. I immediately set about the task. It was more difficult than the night before due to all the orders and braiding. After that he moved to the table and sat down, pointing to the chair opposite for me. We ate in silence. I was cowed and disturbed by his silence. Various servants brought in dish after dish of foods I had never seen. When the meal was finished and the table cleared. Ferdinand dismissed the servants, telling them he was going to rest after a bath. A fine metal tub was brought to his sleeping chamber and filled with warm water. I undressed him and prepared to bathe him, as was my duty. I washed him under the watchful eye of his body guard. I paid special attention to those intimate parts that I had become acquainted with the night before. He stood to be dried and then told his guard that he would now rest. The body guard ,smirked as he left the room. Servants promptly came in to empty the tub out the window and then remove it. Ferdinand lay naked on the bed and I sat on the floor by the bed. I had many questions for him and did not know when to ask. After a long silence he asked if I were troubled? Getting up my courage I told him of my surprise and asked him to dismiss me from his service as I was unworthy of such an honor. He motioned for me to sit on the bed next to him. "You are most worthy to be here. Never doubt that. I cannot take you as a spouse but I desire your company always.", he said in a commanding but affectionate voice. He got off of the bed and ordered me to stand in front of him. Slowly he removed each article of clothing from my body until as was as naked as he. Ferdinand softly kissed me before turning me around and pushing my chest onto the bed. He oiled my rear entrance and plunged into my tunnel with his rampant cock. It was easier to take him this time and his urgent thrusts brought me along with him to a climax. Ferdinand was a vigorous lover. His member was large, but well shaped. He entered me each time gently. Our love making now grew beyond his sexual needs . I grew to enjoy him inside of my body. I feared to express my own feelings to him openly. I cared a great deal for him. Without even summoning a servant when he had finished, one at once appeared with a basin of warm water and towels to clean us. Ferdinand pulled me in for another passionate kiss before urging my body onto his bed. I slept peacefully again with my head resting on his chest. We arose a short time later and dressed. Ferdinand offered to show me the rest of his palace. His body guard was waiting outside of the door as we left for our tour. It was a vast, magnificent palace surrounded by vast gardens. He ordered a carriage for us to tour the gardens. We were escorted by four mounted guards. He said that even in his own palace and gardens he was not safe from assassins. We would both have constant guards when not in his private quarters. It was obvious that he cared for me and intended to protect me. I returned to our rooms. When we entered I noticed a older man dressed in black. He was introduced as the secretary. He looked at me with an air of distain. I bowed and retreated to the sleeping chamber while Ferdinand and the secretary went into the library to work. There were two books in Latin that Ferdinand had set out for me to read. One was a history of Florence and the other a political tract. I settled to read them. Shortly after I settled, a footman, the one who had first selected me, entered the chamber with some wine, cheese and bread. He placed them next to my chair before inspecting the room carefully. Leaning over close to my ear, he whispered, "You must be careful of the people here. Do not let your guard down and speak only in vague terms. The walls have ears. There are those within the household who would plot your downfall." I nodded and in a very low voice said, "Do you mean the secretary?" He nodded and quickly added, "His secretary has ambitions to take a place in the Grand Duke's bed as a means to control him and the affairs of the duchy. He is backed by a few rich men who would do you and Ferdinand harm. They would place his weak cousin on the throne." I looked up and nodded that I understood. In my mind I knew that this situation was dangerous. Softly, I spoke, "I will protect Ferdinand because he is my master and I have feelings for him." The footman nodded and went about the room arranging things while I ate some of the food. He glanced at me, smiled and took the half eaten meal away. Later that afternoon, Ferdinand returned to the chamber, followed by two footmen carrying arm loads of fine garments. They placed them on the bed and left. Ferdinand looked over my shoulder to see what I was reading. It was the history of the city. He kissed me lightly on my cheek. He moved in front of me, taking the book from my hands. I thought that he wanted to pleasure him so I dropped to my knees. He laughed and said, " No, my precious. It is time for another lesson on proper dressing. We will be dining at the home of the archbishop and I must be properly attired. You must also be suitably dressed. This cleric is not a friend. He detests what he calls "my sins". But he dare not publicly oppose me. I suspect that he would have my weak willed cousin on my throne. You will sit at my left side and carefully observe how the food is served. You not eat any of it. If you notice that any dish is not first served to the cleric you are to kick me under the table, lightly so that no one will notice. Do you understand?" I said, "Yes, master." He laughed and said, "In this room and in my quarters when we are alone ,do not call me master, Leo. You know my name well enough." He turned to the bed and looked at the garments laid out there. Some of them were strange to me and I touched them. Sensing my unease Ferdinand held one shirt up to me, then another. "This one suits you coloring well. Put it on for me." I obeyed feeling the fine soft material against my skin. He then handed me a pair of dark stockings which I put on. He picked up a soft leather cod piece and reached into the stockings to place it around my private place. Ferdinand nodded his approval and said, "Those jewels are for my eyes only." He pointed to a finely made tunic and I placed it on. There were a pair of fine leather shoes to complete my outfit. Standing there admiring his work, Ferdinand then ordered me to dress him in a similar manner. I carefully followed his instructions as I dressed him. He looked very splendid in these fine cloths. When I finished he went over to the chest, opened it and took out various things. He placed a scarlet and white sash around my neck. Hanging from it was a medal with a coat of arms on it. "This will identify your as being in my immediate household and offer some protection." he explained. Laying out the rest on the bed, he instructed me on the proper place of each of the orders, ending with that of the Golden Fleece, the highest order in all of christian Europe. I stared at him in awe. Never have I seen a man in such splendid attire. The footman brought in two dark cloaks with blue collars for us. We walked down the grand staircase followed by his footman and his personal body guard. In the courtyard, instead of the sedan chair, stood the gilded, ornamented coach of state with its lanterns glowing. It was drawn by four white horses. There was a mounted guard waiting by the exit. As we made our way to the archbishop's palace other coaches joined our procession. They were the retinues of the other noble families of Florence. I sat silently in the coach with a military man next to me, facing Ferdinand. He was mindful of my nervousness and smiled at me in a reassuring way. Our coach waited as the other nobles entered the courtyard of the large, palace. The Grand Duke was to enter last, as highest official of the city. He was greeted at the door of the coach by the archbishop in his red, lace trimmed cassock. He had a jeweled cross hanging on his chest and the blue, papal Order of the Savior around his neck. Preceded by two black robed clerics and four footman, he escorted the Grand Duke into the palace. Ferdinand nodded and spoke to various people as we made our way into the large dining room. The meal was of many courses. The cleric offered a short prayer before the meal. I watched carefully as the servers brought out each dish. As was the custom, Ferdinand had brought his own eating utensils and cup. I watched as each dish was presented first to the archbishop then to Ferdinand. The wine was presented in a similar fashion. All seemed to be in order. At the end of the meal, the archbishop rose to offer a toast. Speaking so that his voice could be heard by all those present, he began " I am pleased to welcome my honored guest. Our Grand Duke Ferdinand. I pray that the Almighty will guide him as a just ruler. I also pray that he will be protected by the Almighty who will aid him in avoiding those temptations that come often with high office and power." The room was silent as Ferdinand stood to offer his own toast. "I am grateful to the archbishop for his intercession with the Almighty on our behalf. I also pray that the Almighty would guide the city's prelates in their ministry ever mindful of the words of our lord, "render unto ..'' he stopped there and looked at the archbishop, "but I need not remind our host of the rest of that quotation. The church has a high position in our city and the civil authorities have their own responsibility to govern and remain loyal to the head of our state and to the foundations of the city." He sat and received polite applause. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ok folks, thanks for the kind comments and encouragement for me to continue with the story.
