Morien embarked on a thorough study of the books contained in the library, which were occasionally added to by the Prince during his rare, unannounced visits. Morien had slipped easily into the role of serving the Prince as a personal steward. The Prince had few needs, and even fewer appetites. Morien saw to it that the Prince's apartments were always aired, and that the sheets on his bed were always clean and dry, and during the colder months, there was always a fire lit. Morien also worked tirelessly on various articles of clothing, but what the Prince valued most were the great cloaks that Morien assembled for him, with clever clasps and plenty of hidden, recessed pockets to conceal valuables in. Morien's love for Sheppington only grew deeper as the years went by, although Bradbury still retained a strange, unsettling power over him, as did the Prince himself. They both had become aware, very early on, of the love that had burst into being between Sheppington and Morien, and both evidently approved of the couple. Days had passed into months, the autumn deepened in winter. Winter spread a pure white blanket on the valley, and brittle ice swirled around the river and the falls. Spring came, then summer passed again, and winter arrived again. And so the years passed, so many years that Morien lost count of them, and they were only punctuated with brief visits by the Prince, who never seemed to age, but who never-the-less, seemed to grow older and older. Bradbury's visits were even fewer, and whenever he was asked about the world outside the valley, he looked dark and grim. One night, while speaking quietly around the fire, drinking tea, Bradbury told Morien that the lands beyond the valley had grown barren and deserted. However, he had recently followed a band of soldiers on their way to a destination beyond the valley, he had tried to gather what news he could. "My Prince's haven, this Hall, and this valley will not remain hidden for much longer, my friend." Bradbury said. "What of the outer defenses, that strange fog we came through?" Morien asked. "Surely that will continue protect the valley?" "No, the fog is gradually failing, because the power that sustains it, is failing. Long have greedy marauders been penetrating our defenses." Bradbury looked meaningfully at Morien. "You mean," Morien's voice grew quieter, "the Prince, his power fades?" "Yes. His power wanes, as does mine. The world is fading into darkness." "Your power?" Morien was startled. Bradbury smiled. "Who are you?" Morien asked. "We are...we were...," Bradbury's smile faded, and suddenly, he looked very old, and so sad that Morien became frightened. "We were part of a great host of those known as the sons of God," he finally finished. A long moment passed, "You could not understand," Bradbury began again, by way of an explanation. "What you can understand, is the race of men were not the only ones deceived at the dawn of time." They sat in silence for some time. Bradbury finally spoke again, "I am going to show you a secret path leading beyond the falls to a nearby road outside the valley." "I will not leave without Sheppington." "He may accompany you, but you both must be cautious to not reveal yourselves to the outside world, as you would be put to death, with the utmost of cruelty." "I understand," Morien sighed. "I will give you a purse, with enough gold in it to keep you and Sheppington comfortable for the rest of your lives," Bradbury added. "You will have enough to build, in some out of the way place, and live in as much peace, as the world will allow." "These wars," Morien shook his head sadly, "How will we keep from being drawn in?" "Morien, that is something you and Sheppington will have to do for yourselves. Just be ready for the sign to leave." "And what of the others?" Morien asked. "All will be cared for; some have left already, as you may have noticed." "Yes, I have. I wondered why anyone would want to leave." Bradury moved closer to Morien, cupped his face in one hand, and then kissed him tenderly. "You are still, after all these years, so beautiful," Bradbury murmured. Morien's eyes suddenly filled with tears, "I have grown old, I've lost count of the years that have gone by." "Age is nothing, and the Prince has slowed time for your body. You will have many years yet to live with your Sheppington." Bradbury kissed Morien again, "Sleep with me tonight, my dear friend?" Morien nodded. Sheppington understood the powers held by Bradbury and the Prince, and would not object. "Let's have a bathe first," Bradbury suggested. The two men walked down the corridors to the bath house, which was empty, as it was getting rather late. Before they undressed, Bradbury led Morien to the back of the structure, behind a wall, and stood before a panel that was flanked by two benches. Bradbury reached to a slight ledge, and to Morien's astonishment, the panel swung back, and before them was a narrow tunnel that led straight back into the ridge of the mountain behind the hall. "This route will take you behind the falls, and lets out in the woods. Continue south, until you reach the main high road," Bradbury instructed. Bradbury tugged on the ledge again, and the panel shut again tightly. Then they both undressed and sat in the steaming waters, both lost in their own thoughts. After a while, laughing a little at their shrunken skins, the two men threw on robes and moved with haste down the chilly corridors to Bradbury's rooms. There, in front of a fire, they dried themselves thoroughly, and Bradbury finally began kissing Morien, and Morien allowed himself to fall into the spell of Bradbury's caresses and his kisses. Soon, the two writhed on the bed, Bradbury moaned in lust as the hotness of his strong, stout shaft thrusted against Morien's sweating abs. Morien could feel Bradbury's thick cock grinding against his body, and suddenly he wanted that thick organ sliding deep inside of him. Bradbury's hands reached down, and lifted and spread Morien's legs, exposing Morien's tight opening to his view. "Are you ready for me to take you now?" Bradbury gasped. Morien merely nodded his submission. With his arms locked into place, keeping Morien's legs fully spread out, Bradbury made a few sweeping passes with his cockhead on Morien's exposed ass, gently probing, testing, teasing, causing Morien to gasp, with ever increasing lustfulness. Morien's cock jerked and threatened to erupt. Then Bradbury's cock found its target, and pushed inside. Morien threw his head back and groaned as the thick cock continued to part his tight flesh and slid home. Morien could feel the thick pubic patch scraping against his body, and knew that he had all of Bradbury inside of him, and the erotic joy of that moment was almost overwhelming. Bradbury began directly to thrust, deep, powerful, demanding thrusts, pulling nearly completely out at the end of each thrust. Bradbury kept Morien's legs spread and, after several minutes of the powerful strokes, he began to savagely to pound into Morien's prone body, signaling the end of his lust was nearing. Morien, unable to hold back, shuddered as his orgasm took hold of his body, and his cock flexed and sprayed out a copious amount of semen, coating both the men with stripes of the pearly liquid. Then Bradbury stiffened and almost screamed out, as Morien's ass clamped down in his orgasm against his punishing cock, straining and expanding, his cock getting ever thicker and then he groaned as his cock began firing thick jets as his seed began to spray deep inside Morien's tight ass. Bradbury withdrew from Morien, then collapsed beside him and immediately fell asleep. Morien slept through the night deeply, and soundly, and when he awoke, Bradbury was gone. There was a note on the table by the bed. It read simply "The Prince is coming." It was signed by Bradbury. And with a tired body, and a weary heart, Morien returned to his own apartment, into the arms of Sheppington, and he wondered what would become of them.
