Date: Fri, 13 Sep 2019 08:51:55 +0000 From: Al Peres Subject: THE WHITE DRUID PART 6 THE WHITE DRUID ================ Part 6 -------- CHAPTER 27 ------------------ During dinner, with all members of the two families together, Dart and Linda sat together; before they stood to go to their room, the boy and the girl rose as all kept silence, though they knew in advance what he was going to say. Jan was very happy since her dearest daughter had found what she was looking for. "Jan, Linda and I love each other; I think I have found something that I was missing." Linda continued her boy's short speech. "Yes, mother and father; I believe in what Dart has said tonight, I want to know if I am right." Saying this all present cheered them as they ran thru the stairs up to their room. As soon as they entered the girl's room, Dart took in his strong arms the girl and placed her on the soft bed. He did not lose any second and soon was naked and on top of the girl. He had never fucked a girl before, but had a large experience with boys and Marco, when they did it to him, especially the man. So he started nibbling the girl's neck, then her hard little nipples; she started moaning in pleasure wanting the boy dick into her cunt. She did not wait for Dart to take the lead; she turned over, so she was now on top of him, then guided her boy tool into her vagina and pushed hard down. She felt the sharp pain as she got rid of her virginity and felt how the boy's cock went into her to the hilt. The pleasure was so intense that she screamed; fortunately, the room was higher in the loft and the family that was downstairs could hear nothing. She rested her head on the boy's left shoulder as they recovered from their ecstasies, then Dart caressed the girl's sweated forehead and placed a tender kiss there. "I never thought this would be as good, my brother and Kist told me to try, but I never did." Linda returned the soft kiss. "I have been silly waiting so long to enjoy this; probably the Great Mother prepared everything so we could meet without being touched by anyone else." They hugged tightly and continued their lovemaking until they were worn out, then drifted to sleep: that was their real wedding night! No one disturbed the couple; they got up late when their bodies were required them food. Hand in hand they went downstairs; her mother had prepared a huge breakfast that they ate slowly. At that moment Doro entered and hugged his brother tenderly. "I have waited until you came down, brother; I am leaving for our town, as Klara's dad is getting worse every moment that passes." Doro could not retain his tears as he hugged back his twin brother. The boy added: "You have found what you were seeking, so I am very happy. I'll let you know how things go." Doro had said goodbye to everybody, except them. Outside was a squadron of warriors that would escort him until they find the other warriors from his town. Doro looked back waving his hand, though he was very sad, it was hard for him to leave everybody, though he expected to meet his girl very soon and was accompanied by Cletus and his warriors. After five days of riding, they arrived at the spot where his town's warriors were waiting for him. He received a lovely surprise when Rhode came to hug him. He separated from his old friend watching him carefully. "My goodness, Doro, you are so changed! You are not that little and brave boy anymore." I have heard so many things about you and the boys..." "Yes, probably I am; but you also have changed, now you are a real man. How's Stella." "She is very happy looking after the children." Before Doro could ask anything, Rhode added. "We have one boy of three, and one beautiful girl of one. Klara gave me a message for you, she said don't delay because Cato is seriously sick. We'll talk during our way." "In that case, let's go. We'll rest tonight." Without much fuss they said goodbye to Cletus and his men, thanking them for their assistance; he promised to come back to see the family as soon as he could. The rest resumed the trip, and Rhode updated him about all changes happened since they left. Doro also informed him about Denit whereabouts and braveness. Four days later the troop arrived safely to the walled town. Doro's heart started beating hard as many people came to welcome them. Following the twins' will, Cato had occupied Diviciaco's home, leaving his house to Stella and Rhode as their family was increasing. Klara was attending his father as she heard the noise and shouts outside. "What's going on, Lola?" Lola went out and one minute later she came back excited, she then told her sister and father. "I think your boy is here because I have seen Rhode hugging Stella and the children." Klara was ready to go out to meet Doro, her boy, but at this instant Cato screamed in pain. "Please Klara, my daughter, don't leave me; I am dying!!! With tears in her eyes, Klara and Lola remained near the sick man as her heart flew to meet her boy, but she owed to her father. She was cleaning the man's forehead as she felt a strong hand on her shoulder. She rose and spun, stared at the boy in front of her as he said. "Have I changed that much that you don't recognize me?" She did not doubt a second and launched into her boy's arm. He was near a different person, but still, his soft voice and tender look were with him. They hugged and kissed gently as they heard the old man said. "Who is this lad, Lola?" "He's Doro, Diviciaco's son, father!" The man extended his arms to the boy trying to raise himself from the bed, but Doro left Klara and hugged the man tenderly. "Cato, our great warrior! How do you feel, my friend?" "Doro, it seems a warhorse is running in my cores; I can't resist the pain, my boy. If Diviciaco were here..." He could not end the sentence, he fainted. His body was too weak after so many days in pain. Doro then, quickly as if he were in the middle of a battle, said: "C'mon girls, get him nude waist up, now that he's unconscious. Klara, please bring me my saddlebag, quickly." As usual, the girls demonstrated their efficiency. In a couple of minutes, Klara came and handed the bag to him, while Lola finished undressing her father. He extracted a small pot and poured a little portion of a white substance that he got from a leather pouch, then put some water and dropped the white dust into the pot, the dust dissolved immediately. He raised the man and gave it to him to drink; Cato drank it slowly. Lola cleaned her father's mouth with a clean white cloth. Doro then spun and hugged again Klara, and then Lola. He bent over the man and started exploring carefully his tummy; he touched something and Cato moaned in pain in spite he was almost unconscious. "What do you think, Doro?" Klara asked. "He's very sick. He has a tumour inside his intestines; I would like Marco was here, nevertheless, I'll contact him right now and he will instruct me how to proceed." The girls near were amused as Lola said. "Doro, do you realise that your Marco is ten days away from here?" Klara, which had strong faith in her boy, told her sister a little bit annoyed. "He knows what he is doing! Don't be silly!" Doro then dragged the girls to a nearby room, out of any person who might hear him. "Girls, you are going to watch something special, but before I do it, you must promise me you won't comment or say anything to anybody." Doro explored the girls' minds and found a hard determination in Klara, she believed her boy, even she felt a little upset for Doro's doubt about her; however, Lola had some doubts. He gave a peck to Klara as he murmured in her ear: "I don't have any doubt about you." Klara grinned and sighed. Lola then said: "May I know why is she grinning?" Doro responded bluntly to the girl. "Because she trusts me, and you have doubts." Lola deeply blushed. "How do you know..." Klara then stared at her sister's eyes, and answered her." "You easily forget that Doro is a druid himself, besides, son of Diviciaco; I have not any doubt what he says or does." "Alright, girls; still, there is enough sunlight and I need it to recover myself. Remember what I have said; if you are not ready to keep this secret, Lola, please leave us alone so I can heal your father's pain. He's what matters now." Lola, a little bit ashamed added: "I don't deserve to be present; besides, you will be more comfortable with Klara. Should you need anything from me, don't hesitate to call me; I'll stay in the kitchen." "Please Klara, go with your sister; I'll call you both within minutes, I need to pray to the Great Mother." The girls left and Doro went upstairs to his old room in the loft. As he entered, felt how his throat tightened with a bump and tears reached his eyes; still, he could see some of his toys on one of the shelves, probably Klara had taken care of them, because everything was clean without any trace of dust. He made a great effort and went out to the large terrace, where his father used to show him the mystery about the stars. He then wiped his face and cleaned his still smooth face from the recent tears; he had a task to do, and there was no time to lose. He concentrated and soon was talking, mind to mind, to Marco. He still considered him as his second father, and when they were in communication he called him like that. He explained how Cato was, and what could he do. Marco told him how to proceed and be sure he was full of energy; he would need it. He remained in the terrace until the sunset; then went down and called the girls. "Is anyone here, besides you two?" He asked. Lola was to argue, but Klara said. "Aunty Molly is in the kitchen, she always comes to help us; father trusts her as she is his only sister." Please, Lola, tell her to do something in order she leaves us alone." Lola went to the kitchen and came back after a couple of minutes. "I have told her we don't need anyone tonight because you are here helping us. She has thanked because her daughter in law is expecting a baby and she is needed there." They heard the bang of the front door as it was shut. Lola went and locked it, returning to where they were. "Now, please, get your father naked, at least from his crotch up." Klara need not anything more and proceeded as ordered. Doro then added: "Please sit down on the bed's edge, but with your bare feet touching the floor, and your hands entwined. Klara, your free arm must be around my waist, so that we all three form an only being." The girls did not argue. Doro then placed his hands on the man's belly and, pronounced slowly some arcane words for the first time. Klara felt something strange going thru her and in less extent thru Lola, too. Amazed they watched how Doro's body became almost transparent. A powerful brilliant blue light came out from his hands that spread over their father's tummy. The man groaned as if he was enjoying a great pleasure; then a lovely smile dawned in his wrinkled face. This lasted around three minutes, and then Doro stood and dragged the girls with him. Klara was weeping; she knew that her boy had done a great effort. "How do you feel, Doro? You look very tired." He smiled tenderly, and then kissed both girls on her forehead, as he added: "Thanks for your help; yes, I need to rest, I'm exhausted." Klara then helped him to her room and laid him on the bed, in seconds he was rock asleep. The girl understood, he had been all day riding the horse and now that... she did not know what to call it. She left Doro sleeping and came down where his father was; she stared at him that was blissfully sleeping like in the old times when they were little and he came tired but started to play with them. Lola interrupted her thoughts. "Sister, I eagerly want our father to get up, and then ask him how he is feeling. Do you think his pains have calmed." Klara sighed as she took the bedcover up, leaving only his father's head out. "I don't know Lola, but I'm sure Doro did his best to heal him, tomorrow we'll find out; he seems to enjoy his sleep after so many nights on pain or with nightmares." Lola then rubbed her sister's shoulders. "I'll stay with dad tonight, you better go and enjoy with your boy." She grinned slyly. "I don't think he's ready for what you are thinking. He has been riding since dawn, and now with this exercise, he's worn out; we'll have time enough to do anything we want. He looks so handsome... I did not expect to find him so beautiful; I'll lie down near him to warm his body up." Lola then said: "I always thought he would be like he was before, but bigger, but he's completely different; he is a wonderful young man." Klara chuckled. "He is near fifteen now and has grown up a lot; I was greatly surprised when he entered thru this door just two hours ago; he is even better and more handsome than I thought." They kept silence for a few minutes involved in their thoughts. "How would Denit seem like? Will he be as beautiful as when we spent the night in the forest? Will he remember me? Sometimes, sister, I get a whirl in my mind, perhaps I am silly waiting for him while he's in bed with another girl. I wish I had large eyes to watch what he's doing. Men are very fortunate and our boys more than anybody else." "Please, don't say that anymore!" Klara was visibly annoyed by her sister's words. "They were only boys and fought and looked after wounded people like real men; this has been recognized by the powerful Roman Senate, at least, that was what Kurt transmitted us. Doro will explain to us about him since just some months ago they were together in Rome; probably he's conveying a message from him to you." Klara paused and Lola added. "Sister, let's take the chance to get some rest, our father is quieter tonight." "Yes, I'll have some rest; I need it." Saying this, she stood and went upstairs. She found her boy hard asleep. She remained for a couple of minutes watching the sleeping teenager, especially his long light brown hair spread over the pillow. She then approached and dragged a little bit the cover; most likely in his dream, he had taken all his clothes off, because he was naked. "He always liked to sleep in the nude, even in the coldest moments." She murmured for herself grinning. "The problem is that I like doing it, too; though my sister always says that I am silly." She sighed, placed the candle on a small table near the bed and got off of all her clothes, then raised the covers and laid her hips on the bed, spooning the boy; immediately she felt the boy's warmness on her abdomen. She felt the luckiest girl in the world. She could not remember how long she stayed awake until the daylight came thru the large window and a hand was caressing her face. She opened the large eyes and saw her boy watching her. "I have dreamt many times about this moment, Klara. How is your father?" The girl sighed as she understood her boy's thoughts. "Since Lola has not come to call me, he must be much better. We have not slept like tonight for months. So my boy, forget about him by now." She paused and stared into her boy's blue eyes. "Doro, I want to inspect you inch by inch, to check that you are near me and in my bed and it is not a dream." Strangely it was warm, unusual for that time of the year in The Gauls; she then pushed tenderly Doro so he lay on his back. She then dragged the cover down to the boy's knees as she murmured: "You are so changed... but for better." She could see the boy's tool was hard and some clear liquid dripping from the pocking dickhead dribbling to his crotch where the little patch of silky hair was. "I like what I see." Doro extended his hands and placed them on the girl face cheeks, and then he turned over, so he was now on top of her; he bent his head and their mouth met in a tender kiss, then passionate; but he wanted to prolong those instants, so he broke the kiss and watched her naked body. "What do you think? Do you like what you are watching?" The girl said. The druid boy did not answer, but she knew her boy thoughts; he loved her and did not need to say a word. Doro caressed her light brown silky hair, he touched her red lips softly with the back of his fingers, and then his eyes stared at her beautiful breasts. They were protruding from her chest like two halves of a pomegranate; he kneaded them gently until his fingers touched the tiny step to the light-brown ring, where the centre was occupied by the pink nipple, standing hard like a king in his throne. Doro had seen many tits, but none had that beauty, probably it was due to her youth. She had just turned fourteen. Instinctively he bent his head and took into his mouth one of the nipples, while his hands wondered on the other one. They were excited and breathing hard, Klara wanting he ended his touching that was torturing her. Without any noticed, she then took her boy's hard dick and placed it at the port entry of her wet vagina. In a quick move, she fixed her long legs around Doro's thighs and her palms on the boy's butt cheeks, pressing them down; the two actions forced the boy's dick to enter into her soaking wet cave. She had not been with any boy or man since they fucked in the forest, more than three years ago, so she still was like a virgin. Doro felt the wonderful sensation and helped. He felt a little resistance, but after a second try, he went all the way into his loved girl's vagina. They did not need much effort; in their young minds, pictured the final steps of their beautiful rainbow. Their bodies tensed as washing tabs, stopped breathing as Klara pushed her hips up and Doro down. They groaned in delight as stars bust, a choir of cherub sang in their brains as with a final, triumphant drive he ejaculated a geyser of white-hot spunk six or seven times deep into Klara's core, completely out of control, before they slowly came down to earth; their young bodies glistening with perspiration. They had reached the top of their rainbow as they had never experienced before. She felt the lovely feeling of the boy's seeds into her as mentally she asked the Great Mother to grant her a baby from her boy. When they recovered, Doro tenderly kissed a peck on Klara's lips. "I love you, my little wife." Klara smiled satisfied and kissed her boy back. "I love you, too; my brave boy." They resumed their lovemaking until their bodies and spirits were filled wit love; then they drifted to sleep again. Some hours later Lola knocked on the door, she guessed what had been going on, so she was not surprised when her sister opened the door, she was near naked. They grinned slyly. "How's is father, Lola?" I wouldn't have come, sister, but our father is still sleeping and that concerns me." Doro heard Lola's answer and said: "Don't worry Lola, it is natural after so many weeks of suffering; I'll get dressed and come down." They cleaned and dressed, and then hand in hand, the couple went down. As Lola had said, Cato still was sleeping quietly. "Girls, you better get something to eat for your father, he must be hungry. Lola went to the kitchen as Doro placed his hand on the man's forehead. After some seconds, Cato opened his dark eyes and stared around as two tears rolled down his wrinkled face. "How do you feel, father?" The man grinned and almost naked dragged out the covers, stood and took Doro and Klara into his strong arms hugging them. "Thanks, my children; I feel wonderful, and above all, hungry, very hungry." They heard Lola's voice, she was approaching carrying a large tray with food. "Can't you wait, father?" They sat down together around a table and had a huge breakfast. Cato felt very well, however, he understood that his war life had ended. Now it was the time for the young and capable persons. Then staring at his daughters and Doro, he said: "I want to retire and enjoy the rest of my life with all of you and your children, therefore, Doro and Klara, and later Loa, don't lose your time, I want many grandchildren around me, I'll take care of all of them." The Great Mother had heard Klara's prays, she would have a baby the next summer. CHAPTER 28 ------------------ After three months from their arrival, Dart felt what has been hidden into his being, he loved Linda and wanted to spend his life near his new family; he had known from his brother that Klara was expecting a baby for the next July, and he wanted to increase his town's population, too. They were now in the middle of the winter and he had a lot of work healing sick persons, especially old ones and children; however, every night the family had dinner around the warmness of the large fire. One of those nights, at the end of the meal, he stood and slowly said: "Jan, Linda and I have decided to join our lives forever. I never thought I would meet a girl who would catch my heart. Until some months ago I thought I was homosexual but just as I have lived near her, I have discovered that the Great Mother was keeping her for me. Next spring, during the equinox and Great Mother's day, we'll celebrate our formal wedding, meantime, we are together working and learning how to become real adults; we hope you understand and help us." Jan stood and hugged the boy and his daughter. "Thanks Dart. You are as your father liked you were, honest and a true man; not many had done what you and your brother did for our country, so I am very proud of you both. Welcome to our large family thus you undertake the task that the great Diviciaco wanted for you." After these words, all came to hug and congratulate the couple, wishing them all the best in their future life together. Dart felt something strange because he had not yet assumed would be separated from his brother forever. After this Eduo ceremony, hand in hand, Dart and Linda flew upstairs to their bedroom; and as usual, the boy felt how his dick was tenting his leather trousers. During these winter months, Marco was very busy visiting villages, towns and military installations not far from where Kurt/Jan family lived carrying his science to them, rarely he used his gifted powers, and thus he instructed the twins. They should use them only in very exceptional and extreme circumstances, always keeping secret about their actions. His fame spread even further than the lands of the new Gauls; receiving invitations to visit all places. He never rejected to go anywhere, promising to go when the weather improved, because in those months it was rough with much rain and snow. He felt alone and missed Dart a lot, but the boy was devoted to his future wife; he felt very happy when he watched them hand in hand going to the forest searching for medicinal herbs. The equinox arrived and Dart, Linda and his family went to celebrate their wedding to Doro's place; Cato could not be happier, and the ceremony was a great success, though Klara was visibly pregnant. The two families spent those days together, and from there Marco started his trip to the north to know his son Martin, his near three-years-old son. Marco spent near two months to reach Kobe's place, his reputation and name preceded him, so most of the days he was stopped by the people and/or authorities of the places where he was passing by. Most of the times, he preferred to stay within the local Druid's home, so he could exchange experiences and news, he missed his boys that had split out to live their own lives. Some miles before of what today is Orleans, he watched soldiers approaching, commanded by a Centurion. When the troop reached him, the officer dismounted and made the Roman military salute to him, saying: "Sir, I'm Quito Caius, at the orders of the general Lucio Casio Longino, the chef in Command of the Mid Gauls; we are escorting you to his place within our fortress. We have been waiting for you for two weeks ago. Please, if you don't mind to come with us..." Marco grinned as he dismounted and hugged the soldier, as only two officers normally did. The Centurion did not expect this behaviour from a famous man considered in Rome to be one of the best friends of Julio Caesar. They started walking dragging their horses from the reins. "How is the brave Lucio?" Before the officer could answer, Marco added. "He's my father's old friend." "He's quite well, sir, in spite of his age; however, circumstances are keeping him here, despite he wants to retire to his villa in Ostia." "I know..." He paused. "In this case, let's hurry up to meet him. Good friends are rare specimens in these days." They mounted the horses and rode to the fortress. Just as he was dismounting an old man came and both went into a hard embrace. "Glad to see you, my boy. Where have you been since you left Rome? Even I did not see you in the parade." As they hugged, Marco noticed the strong muscles in a slim body for a military man; he knew this General had always been an active person. "Well... the weather had not been very good lately, so I had to start the trip after the equinox. I could not miss the wedding of two of my boys, Diviciaco's twins." "Yes, I heard about them. Eduos normally get married very soon, on contrary than Romans do." "Well, it is an old custom to start life as soon as possible, they assume is better to enjoy the present time than wait for the future that perhaps could not be better." They sat down as Marco was introduced to the General Domicio Calvino, second in command. Marco noticed how the general Longino felt uncomfortable and imperceptibly rubbed his stomach. After some time, the second in command left, when Longino started talking about Marco's father. He thought should not interfere in private subjects. "Calvino seems a prudent and educated man, am I right?" Longino grinned with some sarcasm. "Yes; he's a good man and comes from an old family, not as old as yours or mine, but old enough. Like all second commanders, he's eagerly awaiting my retirement... or my death." "Sir, you are not old enough to retire or to pass away, still, Rome needs many men like you to complete Julio's task here and there." "Marco, my son, you are being a little hypocrite or feel pity of me. As far as I know, you are a good physician as your father is, even better; according to what I have heard about you. Yes, I am ill, though I don't know the extent. I have inherited from my grandfather many things, one of them, his sickness." Marco was not surprised since he knew this man was very frank and honest. He then continued. "In Rome, I had your father near me, but here, except the druids, we don't have a good physician in the army, of course, I don't trust on any of these priests. Sorry because you are one of them, but you are a Roman, too." Marco grinned as he stared at the man. "I don't need to explore you to know how you are suffering, sir. You are like a spread written scroll for me." The general stared back to Marco understanding but did not make any comment. Marco continued: "You feel waves of pain low under your chest that spreads to the left side, accompanied by sweat. Am I right?" He did not wait for the man to answer and continued. "The pain is stronger after you have any meal, no matter whether it is abundant or not." Then the man said sadly in a whisper. "Yes, you are right, son." Marco then approached the man and asked. "Do you have any person of your absolute confidence, in which we can trust?" "Yes. The officer who met you, Quito Caius is a good boy, son of a Senator and good friend of mine. He must be outside or not very far away." The general rang a little bell and he instructed one of his soldiers to fetch the officer; a few minutes later he was there. Marco then said: "Please, have my things uploaded to my room?" "Yes, sir. I'll show you, though it is not far from here, it is the fourth door next to this one." "In this case, please, stay here with the General. I'll come back in a couple of minutes." Marco stood and disappeared thru the door. The officer remained close to his General, he knew he was sick, but did not know how ill he was and the extent or kind of his illness. He wanted badly to help him, but could not do anything unless he was asked, he was his superior and the discipline had to be kept. Nevertheless, he dared to say: "Sir, may I help you?" The man stared at the young and capable officer tenderly, he was to say something as Marco returned; he had heard the young man question. "Quito, I think we can manage if we need you I promise we'll call you. Thanks for your help. Please shut the door when you leave, and order the guardian not to allow anyone in here, unless the General order it." The officer felt something upset because he was not used to receiving orders from anyone, except his military superior, therefore, he glanced to his General and Longino, with a light move, confirmed Marco's words. The druid extracted a little leather pouch from his robe and dropped a little of the white substance into a pot with water. The General drank it and two minutes later he felt a lovely sensation, all pains disappeared. Marco then grinned. "It is gone, but it'll return; you are not cured. I guess what you have but I need you to answer my questions." "Ask what you think it is necessary. I never felt like now, so you deserve all my confidences." Marco chuckled. "I suppose I am entitled to know what is going on into my belly. Your father was not very explicit." "After you answer me, I'll tell you what is in my mind on respect of your tummy. Have you observed the colour of your dregs lately?" The man blushed like a child. "Yes I have, and believe me, I was not very comfortable; they are dark brown and stink madly." "I don't need further explanations." Marco paused as the General was expectant. "You have an old ulcer in your stomach, and now it is bleeding, that's why you are so slim and that colour is caused by the bleeding it produces." "What do you suggest, physician?" The man asked a little bit teasingly. "You should have taken measures to prevent the bleeding; now I think it is too late." "Yes, you are right; your father warned me about this result. Then I was young and abused with wine and strong foods... but I am a Roman soldier... and a soldier must be ready to die at any moment, so I am ready." The military paused and deeply breathed. "The problem is how to reach death without hurting my friends for being a coward, or suffering these terrible pains. I suppose you know what I mean." "Yes I know, but you are not a man of committing suicide or to put at risk your life unnecessarily." "I'll wait to bear these pains or maybe, I'll request the Great Julio to take me to fight that stupid of Pompey, perhaps I am lucky and granted with an early end..." Marco felt a commotion with that brave man's determination. "No, Lucio. Still, there is something I can do, or at least to try." The man stared at Marco in surprise but said nothing. Marco then continued: "Do you still remember your nephew Flavio? He was my best friend and..." The General interrupted him. "Yes, I loved that little boy with all my heart, it is a long time now, but I remember what his father explained me; he passed away happily after you had been with him alone, though you did not give him any medicine. "Yes, that was true. Unfortunately, I was too young and did not know how to manage my gifted powers, otherwise, he could have been here with us. Only I have used them twice: that day instinctively, and a second time to save the life of Vercingetorix's son. I knew he was ready to lose everything, except his son, so I could not refuse and I used those powers." "Strangely, someone told me about this in Rome, sorry son, but I didn't believe it." "If you are ready to trust me, Lucio, I can get rid of your ulcer... but under only one condition." Marco paused in order the military could ask any question, but he did not. "The condition is, you have to swear by you honour that you will never release a single word about what I am going to do here." The man rose and hugged Marco tightly. "Thank you, son, you have my word." The man stood and went to the main door, the sergeant in charge of the guarding approached the door and then Lucio said: "I am going to close this door, and unless my visitor or I open it, under any circumstance it will be open, except in case of a real danger of death. Am I clear, sergeant?" "Very clear sir. I'll inform my officer." Lucio did not answer the military and close the door slowly, and then returned to where Marco was waiting. As he reached the room, felt how his stomach grumbled and instinctively placed his left hand pressing his tummy. Marco watched how the man arched his body without protesting a single word; his forehead was covered by sweat. "Lucio, we can't lose a single minute. The medicine I gave you should keep out your pain at least for twelve hours. Please lay on the couch." He then took a cushion and placed it under the man neck. "Try to relax, the pain will be gone within a few minutes, though it may return later, I won't give it that chance." Marco proceeded to undress the man up from his crotch as he was breathing hard." Most likely you will go into a deep slumber for a few hours, though I'll be here near you, but also very tired." "In that case, now or when you finish, please open the door and call Quito Caius and tell him the situation is number two. We have agreed with some codes in order not to explain to anybody what he had to do in an emergency; this means I am not available for some hours, but there is not any danger." "That's good; this is why I always admired the military organization." The man grinned as he closed the eyes. Marco took off his robe and his sandals, placing his bare feet on the white stoned cold floor. He knew it was a grave situation and needed not to be disturbed while he spent all his energy. He missed the boys or a man to whom he could trust and help him, but none were there. He thought about calling the officer, but he did not want that publicity, it was essential to keep the secret as much as possible. He then concentrated, explored the man tummy and placed his hand over his stomach, starting to pronounce the arcane words kept deep into his mind. As it happened with Doro, his whole body became transparent like glass. A flow of power started absorbing the terrible energy contained in the tumour existing in the military's stomach. Lucio had his eyes nearly closed but could watch the first steps of Marco's transformation. After almost half an hour, Marco recovered his normal situation, though he was very tired and exhausted, his body needed to sleep; however, he had to inform Quito Caius. He stumbled to the door and opened it, the sergeant watched him fearing the worst. "Can I help you, sir? You look very tired and exhausted." He grinned. "Please, call Quito Caius. I'll wait inside." Five minutes later the officer entered, his face showed a terrible determination, and then watched his boss lying on the couch peacefully sleeping. "Caius, situation two, we need to rest for a few hours. Please look after us and take care no one disturbs our rest." Saying this, Marco fainted. The young officer guessed what had happened, so took his new friend to the nearby bed and covered him as he said: "Thank you White Druid, for saving this great man." He left the rooms closing the door behind. "Sergeant, the General and his visitor are sleeping and are very tired." The man thought about the cause of the men's tiredness, but the officer rubbed his sly smile. "I wish he had what you are thinking, but you are wrong. You will get a nice surprise tomorrow, meantime, have a good guard." They saluted and the sergeant started speculating about what had happened within that room. Early morning the General woke up staring around, he couldn't remember anything; his mind was empty when he watched Marco hard asleep on the next room. He tried hard to remember why the White Druid was there, but nothing came to his mind, except some flashbacks about the young man converted into glass. What was that? On the other hand, he felt as never before. He was to ring the little silver bell when Marco woke up. "What are you doing here, boy?" The General asked Marco. He immediately assumed the General's memory had suffered during the operation, but that would be temporal; before he could realise he would remember everything, but then he would not be there, this would be the best. "You felt bad, Lucio, and I came to help you. As I can see, we have succeeded." The General grinned extending his hand to Marco. "Thanks, Marco for coming; now I recall you were near here and I sent the head of my guard to fetch you." "If you don't mind, Lucio, I must continue my trip; part of my family is waiting for me and I cannot lose a single minute. I have rested comfortably, thanks to your kindness and am ready to depart. This won't be the last time we see each other. The Gauls and Rome need you here." They were to shake hands, but the General hugged the young man. "I wish you all the best with your new family. Ah, I forgot!" He went to a nearby table and extracted a scroll from a drawer. "Please read it, I received it yesterday directly from a place in the south close to river Rubicon. At this very instant, headed by Cayo Julio, our legions have invaded Italy in their way to Rome to fight Pompey and his conservative senators." Marco eagerly read the document signed by Julio Caesar; knowing he would read it, Julio informed Marco what a wonderful campaign his friends Orus, and especially Denit, were doing. He then commented. "General, this means the Civil War has started and thousands of Roman soldiers will lose their lives. It is a pity the mankind repeats the same mistakes so many times." "You are right, son. However, Julio offered Pompey and his supporters all possible solutions, even to dissolve their respective armies, but they rejected the offers. They know that if Julio wins this war, they will lose all of their prerogatives, so they have raised a great army and fleet to fight Julio's. I wish he calls me, I will be ready and happy to fight near him." Marco did not make any comment, he thanked Lucio for the news and said goodbye. Outside, in a passageway, he met Quito Caius; the young officer was amazed watching the White Druid. "Last night you looked as devastated, and now you are as fresh as a pink rose in spring." Marco grinned for the compliment. "Still, I am not very old and recover easily. By the way; the General has lost some of his most recent memory, that's normal and it is temporal, within a few hours he will recover it. Please tell him that from now on, he should have a normal life, but out of that wildlife he used to have." He then extracted a scroll from under his clothes and handed to the officer. "Please give it to him as soon as he recovers his memory." "I'll do Marco; and thanks for what you have done. Your horses are ready with all your belongings and little presents for your family. The General ordered them just in case you decided to leave before you had planned." They said goodbye; Marco descended to near the castle keep and mounted one of his two horses, the animal neighed happily receiving his master. It was near the sunrise, and he wanted to leave the town before the people could detect his presence in the castle. Some minutes later, he was in the middle of the forests riding northbound, to the land that today we know as Normandy. CHAPTER 29 ------------------ Marco avoided the towns and villages because he knew the people would stop and delay him; he thought would have time to visit them in the future. Now his main interest lied on his family. "How would the little boy be? His mother was a beautiful woman at the moment he was conceived." He murmured for himself. Kobe's features had more from his mother than from his father, as far as he knew, the boy had just turned fifteen, though still his body had not made the last spurt and he kept his pitchy voice. "I like him and I'll do anything so he is happy, thanks to him I have now a son." He thought. Five days later he visualized the house; it had been changed adding a new story on top with a few rooms. The farm was not a small one, now a lot of free lands had been added, especially, from those persons who died fighting during the war and had not any heir. It was mid-afternoon when he approached the house, and before he left the forest, clearly could watch Kobe playing with Martin. The little boy's giggles reached his ears as the angel's music; his heart started pounding inside his chest as he accelerated his approach. Suddenly the boys stopped playing as they watched the two horses trotting to the large house's porch. Morley, the children's mother, stood. She had been sat down on a swinging chair, but before she could react, instinctively the little boy squealed. "Daddy, Kobe, it is daddy!!!" Marco quickly dismounted as the de two yelling boys approached running. Marco did not expect to be recognized, but he opened his large arms as the little Martin jumped onto his chest, placing his small white arms around his neck kissing his father. Kobe hugged Marco around the waist as he felt how Marco's free hand rubbed his back softly, Marco pressed the young lad to him. At that moment as they reached the porch, he placed the little boy on the floor as the woman and man went into an embrace as their lips joined in a tender kiss. They broke the kiss and the woman placed her left arm around the White Druid's waist. Staring at a black servant she gave an order and he took the horses away to the stables. Marco sat down and immediately little Martin jumped on his lap and Kobe on the armchair near him. The fresh young woman sat down in front of him as the little boy started making many questions to his father. Marco wanted to reassure his love for Kobe so that he could never felt ignored or dejected; he wanted Kobe to be his real son, too. "Kobe, above all, I must thank you very much for saving your mother and your brother. I will always be in debt to you for your bravery and determination." Kobe felt the emotion inside his heart because as he had always thought, Marco was more than a great druid; he was a great man and his father. He hugged him as his tears dribbled along his smooth cheeks. "I love you, dad; I love you very much." The little boy also felt his brother's emotions as he also said: "I love you, too, daddy and Kobe." Their mother then said: "We all love him and he loves us. Let's go inside, dad had made a large run to be here with us. We'll have time to tell him all that we need and want." Later that day, he gave his family the presents he had brought for them; toys for the little cherub and many dresses and jewels for the woman, and a special present for Kobe from Kist; the armour that Vercingetorix had given him. Kobe could not keep his emotions back recalling his best friend. Marco then extracted a roll of scrolls containing most of the works related to Aristotle and Plato. He could not believe what he had in his hands. "Thanks, father, nobody has ever understood me like you; it is not strange that you are called the Great Druid." His mother embraced her son tenderly. "Yes, my son. He is the kind of father that I wanted for you and you deserved. EPILOGUE -------------- Yes, the young lady was right. She had been forced to marry Kobe's father when she had just turned fourteen; keeping her away from her wish to build up the family she had always dreamed about, based on love and not on the force or political conveniences. She was not an exception; many women were subject of these agreements, though Greece and Rome did not share it. Sometime later, her family came to render her their support, and to amend the erroneous decision that her father had taken sixteen years ago. Marco and Morley married some time afterwards and have a few more children besides Martin. Kobe became Marco's son, demonstrating his efficiency and intelligence, though he never married any girl. He loved his brother Martin dearly and the little boy paid him back until he got married when he was eighteen years old. Ten centuries later, the year 1066, one of Martin's descendants, Williams of Normandy, defeated King Harold in the battle of Hastings, thus becoming King of England. Denit continued as Julio's assistant, though two years later, he started taking part directly in the fights against all Rome's enemies commanding a Century at the orders Orus. Pompey claimed that Julio was more an ambitious politician than a General and that he had conquered the Gauls thanks to the boys and adults druids. The Civil War divided the Rome Empire into two halves but Julio would demonstrate, once more, that he was a military genius, and his former best friend and son in law, a vain full of envy man. Julio conquered Italy as Pompey flew to Greece. There, Julio defeated Pompey in a place called Farsalia; even with an inferior number of legions. He never punished the soldiers that had fought in Pompey's army; many of them joined his forces; those who did not join his army were disarmed and left free to return home, and without any payment. The Generals caught fighting were slaved for life or killed. From Greece Pompey flew to Egypt followed by Julio. Finally, Pompey was betrayed in Egypt and murdered; his head was cut off from his body and presented to Julio in a basket. Julio bitterly cried at the view of the head of his old friend and once son in law. He immediately ordered to execute the man who had brought that terrible proof. Pompey's supporters raised a large army led by Catton, the young, and Pompey's Egyptian supporters, including his two sons. Cayo Julio defeated them. Pompey's sons flew to Spain where they had many friends and supporters, again Julio gained this battle. With this, the Civil War ended and he returned to Rome. The new Senate celebrated an assembly, in that historical session he was granted with the title of "Pontiff Maximum", implying Dictatorship, Consul and Tribune of the People, not for one year, as it was normal, but for the rest of his life. Just one year before Marco Brute and his friends murdered Julio Caesar; Denit was appointed Tribune of the People in The Gauls, the youngest Tribune so far. He had married Lola, and after four years of being Tribune, he left the Army and went running his own business near Kurt. Orus Flavio Acquittal, as he was called in Rome, was faithful to Julio even after his death. Since he spoke Egyptian he fought against the Egyptian army until the Romans imposed their law in that vast territory. During all these years became Julio's right hand in the shadow; and when he was killed, Orus helped Antonio and August to find and punish Marco Brute and his friends. He said to them he wanted to retire to The Gauls where his family was; however, August rewarded him with the military command of the South Gauls that included all Eduos and Secuanos lands. Later on, this territory would be called Aquitania. He had married Angela, (Kurt's elder daughter) and they had a litter of brown-skinned children. He loved his Egyptians, as he used to call his children, though Angela did not like this, she was in love with her husband. Vercingetorix never returned to The Gauls; he died six years after his arrival to Rome. His son had had an accident falling from a horse the previous year, passing away afterwards, apparently due to the wounds caused by the fall. According to Kist, and beyond any doubt, it was not an accident, but a consequence of his old brain tumour, though he never recovered his conscience. The End. 124
