Steve asked himself, in disbelief yet, as he sat on a bar stool in a little bar in a corner of the lobby of Grand Central Station, contemplating a double Scotch the bar tender had just set in front of him. "When...???" he asked himself. Finally he took a very big swallow of the Scotch, and cringed slighty as the harsh whisky washed down his throat, and a pleasant heat spread through his chest. For several minutes, Steve sat, staring into his drink, wondering how his son, who seemed so masculine, could possibly be gay! "Did the Granville kid 'turn him' somehow?" Steve wondered. "Was he even Mark's first time?" As steve pondered everything, he suddenly came to the sad conclusions that he didn't really know his son as well as he thought he did, and, there really was nothing he could do about it - if Mark was gay - he was gay! Steve finished his drink, and ordered a beer then, and sat for several more minutes thinking about how suddenly everything in his life seemed so "different" than he'd thought it was. Finally, once his beer was gone, Steve paid his tab, got up, and sadly set off for the subway platform. * * * While Steve was sitting in the bar, reeling from his revelation, Mark walked Chris down to his train. There the two hugged and kissed again, still not caring if anyone noticed, or if they did, if they minded. They were in New York City though, so nobody really did take note of them, or if they did, they weren't surprised, nor did they care. At the last minute, Chris leaped onto the train, and Mark waved sadly at him, as waved back from his window, as the train pulled out of the station. Mark headed for his own subway platform then, and arrived, just as the next train to Brooklyn was loading. Quickly he hopped on it, and within minutes, he was back in Brooklyn, getting off of it. As he trudged up the stairs to street level, he thought about his upcoming visit to Boston, and perked up a little. As he stepped out onto the street, he realized it had started to snow lightly, which finally brought a smile to his face. Quickly he set off on foot for home. Just as Mark arrived home, so did Aaron, who'd been at Kyle's. "You OK?" Aaron asked Mark. "Yeah," Mark said. "We had a great day, and I'm gonna go visit Chris in Boston soon!" "Cool!" Aaron said. "You have fun with Kyle?" Mark asked. "You have to ask?" Aaron grinned, and wiggled his eyebrows up and down. "My balls are killing me they're so empty!" Both laughed, then went into the house together, said "Hello" to Gran, who was at the stove cooking, and headed upstairs to their rooms. * * * A short time later, Steve arrived at home. When he walked into the house, although Gran was still at the stove cooking, he never acknowledged her, as still lost in his own thoughts, he took off his coat, and hung it up in the coat closet. "Is everything alright Steven?" Gran asked her son-in-law, studying him with a look of concern on her face. "Uh, Oh Hi, yes, I'm sorry Mom. Everything's fine. Is Phyllis home yet?" he asked. "Not yet Dear," Gran said, as she continued stirring the contents of a pot she was cooking something in. "OK," Steven said. "I'll be in the living room." "OK Dear," Gran said, looking after him, as he exited the kitchen. "Must not have been a successful business trip," she muttered to herself, as she returned her attention to her cooking. * * * A few minutes later, Phyllis came home, and found her mother at the kitchen table cutting up some vegetables. "Hi Mom!" Phyllis said, smiling. "Did you see it's snowing?" "Oh Hello Dear, yes I did. I guess we're supposed to get a few inches." Gran said, smiling. "Did you have a good day?" "I did, thank you," Phyllis said smiling. "That's good," Gran said. "Maybe you can cheer your husband up then. He came home a few minutes ago, and seems a little upset. He's in the living room." "Oh dear!" Phyllis said, as she hung her coat in the closet. "I wonder what's wrong!" "He didn't say," Gran said. Giving her mother a concerned look, Phyllis quickly headed for the living room, with Gran following. When they entered the living room, they found Steve, who'd decided to call Mark's mother, still on the phone with her. "Wait a minute Roxanne. He told you?" Steve asked incredulously. His back was to the hallway, and he didn't notice his wife and mother-in-law come into the room right away. When Phyllis heard her husband mention his ex-wife's name, she looked at her mother and cringed. "No," Mark's mother said on the other end of the phone line. "But I figured it out one night when I came home earlier than he expected and he and his friend Jon, you remember the big blond boy he always hung out with, were in his room, and suddenly as I passed by Mark's room, I heard Jon cry out 'Whoosh! Marky! I'm gonna cum man if you keep that up!' and I knew then what they were doing. Especially when I heard Mark answer 'Me too man!'" "Oh my God! You've known that long? Why didn't you tell me?" Steve demanded getting louder. "Maybe because of the reaction you're having right now!" Mark's mother said. "Beside, it's not my place to tell you Steven! It's Mark's! I assume you're going to question him now about it. My question to you is, what are you going to do about it? Are you going to be able to handle having a gay son? You aren't suddenly going to start treating him badly are you? Do I need to come get him and bring him to Germany to live with me?" "OF COURSE NOT!" Steve bellowed into the phone suddenly, causing his wife and mother-in-law to both jump. "What kind of a father do you think I am? And I am his father and have every right to know! Especially if you knew!" As the two began bickering then, Phyllis decided it wasn't helping things and was about to step over and touch Steve's arm and suggest Steve try to call his ex-wife back a little later after they both had time to think a little. "NO!" Gran commanded sternly suddenly, and she reached out and put her hand on her daughter's shoulder. "Stay out of this. It's none of your business." "What do you mean by that?" Phyllis asked, turning on her mother suddenly. "Just what I said," Gran said. "It's Steven's business, not your's. And if you get involved, he won't be any happier with you than he is with her!" "But, Mom!" Phyllis began. "THAT BITCH!" Steven yelled suddenly then and he slammed the phone down. Unbeknownst to the adults, Mark and Aaron had been coming down the stairs, and upon hearing Steve's raised voice, had crept up to the doorway around the corner, and listened. Suddenly, unable to believe his parents were fighting again suddenly, Mark rounded the corner. Timidly Aaron followed. "What was that all about?" Mark demanded, looking sternly at his father, who spun around, surprised to see the whole family staring at him. Mark could tell from the way his father had been hollering on the phone, that it was his mother he was fighting with again. "Were you spying on me?" Steve growled nastily, causing everyone but Mark to look surprised. "Were you and Mom fighting again?" Mark demanded, not backing down in the least. "I thought you two stopped fighting once you came to New York. What the Hell is wrong now?" "What your mother and I discuss is none of your business!" Steve hollered, glaring at his son. "Oh dear," Gran muttered, looking sadly at her son-in-law, then at his son. Phyllis swallowed and opened her mouth to speak, but again her mother put a hand on her arm, and she pulled up before she spoke. "I have a right to know if something's wrong!" Mark said, staring determinedly at his father. Steve continued glaring at Mark for a couple seconds, then, remembering what the discussion was over, he suddenly let the air out of his lungs, and sighed. "There's nothing wrong," he said, more calmly. He closed his eyes then, and rubbed his face. "So why were you fighting then?" Mark asked, calming down equally as much. "It was nothing," Steve said. "Is Mom OK?" Mark asked, suddenly concerned for her safety and well-being. "Why did she call?" "She's fine," Steve said. "It had nothing to do with her. And I called her." "Then it must've been about me," Mark said. "What's going on? Why did you call her?" Steve looked at his son for a moment then, contemplating him. He wasn't ready for a conversation with him yet about his newfound knowledge about him. He needed some time to think. Suddenly, realizing it was his revelation about Mark that was causing him so much stress, and being that he was still angry with his ex-wife, Steve looked at Mark and more angrily than he meant to sound, snapped, "NOthing's going on! Can you please just go to your room for a while?" Mark was suddenly taken aback, and didn't know how to respond. He hadn't been dismissed like that and ordered to his room in some time by his father. After glaring at his father for a moment, and being totally confused, he silently, but angrily spun on his heel and walked swiftly out of the room, and up the stairs, leaving everyone staring after him. "You too Aaron!" Phyllis said, dully a moment later. "We need to talk - alone!" Aaron's eyes grew big, but then a moment later, he too turned and padded up the stairs. As he rounded the corner on the stairway, he almost slammed into Mark, who'd stopped there, to listen again to what was being said in the living room. "Shhh!" Mark said, in a barely audible tone, holding his finger to his lips. Knowingly, Aaron nodded, and he stood silently then where he was. From downstairs, the two could hear most of the conversation that followed. "Maybe - " Phyllis began, but suddenly cut off when Steve shot her a look. "I told you so," Gran said, softly, but pointedly. Phyllis sighed. Then decided to try a different tactic. "So, what is wrong Steve? Is there anything we can do to help?" Phyllis asked in a soft, concerned tone. For a moment, Steve glared at her, then, suddenly, the fight went out of him, and he sighed and sat down on the couch. As Gran nodded at Phyllis, she joined her husband and sat down next to him. "She's known for some time," Steve said, finally, looking disbelievingly at her. "Known what Dear?" Phyllis asked, mystified. "I had that meeting in Albany this morning," Steve said. "As you know I took the train. Well, after I got off the train back from Albany this afternoon, as I was running through the station to catch the subway home, I saw Mark and Chris. You know Mark was going to see him off. Well, just as I was going to holler and wave to them, they wrapped their arms around each other, and started kissing each other... on the lips... just like how you and I kiss!" On the stairs, Mark felt as if he'd been shot in the chest, and Aaron's eyes opened wide, and his jaw dropped, as he turned to look horror-struck, up at Mark, who was a step higher up than him. "They did what?" Phyllis asked, confused. "They were kissing," Steve said, grimmacing a little. "On the lips!" he added, when Phyllis continued looking confused. "Oh my!" Gran said softly. Phyllis opened her mouth to speak, and tried unsuccessfully to say a couple things, but each time she tried, she didn't know what to say. Finally, all she could manage was "Soooo...???" "Apparently he's gay, and apparently he's in some kind of relationship with the Granville boy," Steve said in a deflated tone. "Oh, what a shame," Gran said softly. On the stairs, Mark's eyes began stinging as they filled with tears. "So... you talked to his mother about it?" Phyllis asked finally, not knowing what else to say. "She confirmed it," Steve said. "Mark told her?" Phyllis asked, as on the stairs, as he listened, tears began streaming down Mark's face and he began shaking. "No," Steve said. "She found out by accident when she overheard him with one of his friends one day." "Oh!" Phyllis said. "So... he was telling this friend?" "No, she heard them having sex in Mark's room one day when she came home earlier than they expected," Steve said, resignedly. On the stairs, Mark's legs had begun shaking, and he sank down on the step above the one he was standing on. Aaron's mouth just continued to hang open. He felt awful for his step-brother. "Well," Phyllis said. "I-I guess that would kind of confirm it." "He's never had a girlfriend," Steve said. "Never even looks at them. I don't know why it never occurred to me." "Well Dear," Phyllis said. "That's probably normal for many boys. Aaron hasn't ever expressed any interest in g- .... OH MY GOD!!!" "Oh dear!" Gran said. Suddenly Aaron felt as if the floor had fallen out from under him. Was he about to be "outted" as well??? "Y-you don't suppose Aaron's gay too do you?" Phyllis asked. "He's rather young ..." Steve began. Then after a pregnant pause he added, "of course, he's sexually mature now, so... he probably has figured out his preferences by now." "Well," Phyllis said. "He's never been interested in girls either. In fact the only people he's friends with are Mark and Kyle." "Kyle is rather... 'delicate'," Gran said, surprising everyone. Aaron's chest began to ache as he listened. "I-I'm not saying he would do anything bad, but Steve, we had Mark sleep in Aaron's bed with him for a while when you first moved in. Y-you don't suppose ..." Phyllis said. "Suppose what Phyllis? What are you trying to ask? Do you think my son molested your son and turned him gay?" Steve asked, suddenly in a stricken tone. "NO!" Phyllis cried, as on the stairs both boys looked at each other horrified. "I know Mark would never intentionally or deliberately hurt Aaron. I can see how fond they are of each other." "But, you said 'intentionally' and 'deliberately'," Steve said in an accusatory tone. "That means you think something did happen, and of course because Mark's older, he had to be the instigator!" "Well, I doubt Aaron would know what to do at his age - " Phyllis began. "So you DO think my son forced your son to have sex with him?" Steve asked, incredulously. "Children!" Gran suddenly cried, sounding a little distraught. "Let's not forget the very long showers both boys used to always take!" "What?" both Steve and Phyllis cried incredulously, their heads spinning to look at her. Both were totally confused about what she was talking about. As still more tears streamed from Mark's eyes, as he listened, horrified at what the adults were talking about, Aaron suddenly became incensed that anyone would think Mark would ever hurt him. "How could you think that?" he nearly bellowed, suddenly bounding down the stairs and bursting into the living room. He skidded to a stop in front of his mother and glared angrily at her. As the adults stared in shock at Aaron, he suddenly cried, "Mark would NEVER do such a thing! He's been nothing but nice to me, and has always protected me from everything! He's the best big brother a guy could ask for!" For a moment, nobody spoke. Still shocked by Aaron's entrance, and not sure how to proceed, but still uncertain about just how close her son and stepson were, Phyllis asked, "So, nothing ... physical, has happened between you boys then?" "If it did, it would be none of your damned business!" Aaron growled nastily and evenly through barred teeth glaring more angrily at his mother, than he ever had in the past. Phyllis's eyes grew huge and she shrank back from her son in shock over how menacingly he was speaking to her. Gran's eyes opened wide with shock too. "Aaron!" Steve snapped. "Regardless of what we're talking about, that's no way to speak to your mother! She loves you and just wants to make sure you're OK." Aaron glanced over at his stepfather for a moment, but when Steve didn't back down, Aaron's bravado dissipated a bit. "I'm sorry," He said gruffly, but less angrily, looking back at his mother. "But what you asked about is my private business." "Well," Phyllis said, regaining some of her composure and straightening back up in her seat, but looking a little uncertainly yet at Aaron, "you may feel and seem very grown up now, but the fact is, you're still a child - my child, and I'm responsible for raising you. So, in a way, anything that happens with you or that you do, is my business yet. And as Steve pointed out, I'm only interested in making sure you're OK." "I'm just fine," Aaron said, retaining his steady mildly simmering temper. "And Mark would never ever do anything bad to me, or hurt me in any way! Don't you ever accuse him of such a thing again!" "Well Dear," Phyllis said, sounding a little embarrassed by then. "I was pretty certain of that. I just love you so much, I couldn't think straight. I had to make sure!" "You don't seem surprised to find out that Mark's gay," Steve noted suddenly, looking a little more calmly and curiously at Aaron. Feeling the tide suddenly swing in his direction, Aaron suddenly felt deflated and was at a loss of what to say, and just looked at Steve with big eyes. "Hmm..." Steve said, staring critically at Aaron. "So you did know then." "He's my brother," Aaron said finally. "He shares his secrets with me, and I share mine with him too." "So what kind of secrets do you share with Mark?" Phyllis asked, wondering how much Aaron might slip up in the heat of the moment, and admit to. "They wouldn't be secrets if I told you, now would they?" Aaron responded, suddenly sounding rather coy. "Touche'!" Gran said softly, and she smiled and winked at Aaron, who suddenly felt a slight boost of confidence because his grandmother appeared to be on his side. "How do you feel about your brother being gay then Aaron?" Steve asked. Aaron froze for a moment, then looking evenly at Steve, he said politely, but firmly, "I think the better question is, how do you feel about your son being gay Steve?" "Aaron!" Phyllis gasped, as Steve physically sat back slightly and stared non-plussed at his step-son. He hadn't expected to be challenged like that by him. "uh Oh!" Gran muttered, as she turned her attention to Steve and peered critically at him herself. Finally, Mark, who'd just managed to get his emotions under control, wiped the tears from his face, and stepped into the living room to try and save Aaron. "He's right. How do you feel about that Dad?" Mark asked, then he swallowed and in a more rasping voice added, "And please be honest. Do you have a problem with it? Do you want me to leave now that you know?" Steve's expression quickly changed from shock at Aaron's query and Mark's sudden entrance, to horror and sorrow when he saw the destroyed look on his son's face, and realized he'd been crying, and then to mild fear over Mark's thoughts that he wanted him to leave. Suddenly his stomach began churning. "If he goes, I'm going with him!" Aaron suddenly declared, backing up against Mark, and folding his arms firmly in front of his chest. He stood then looking belligerently back and forth between the adults. "What?" Phyllis cried. "How do you feel about having a gay son Mom?" Aaron blurted suddenly. "Because I'm gay too! Do you want me to leave too?" "Good God!" Gran gasped. Then as she gaped at her grandson, she thought to herself, "well his grandfather would say he's certainly grown a set of brass balls in the past few months!" She couldn't help smiling slightly then to herself over her grandson's suddenly blossoming self-confidence. Aaron had never before had the ability to stand up to anyone, and was shocked at himself for what he'd just said. At the same time, he was terrified of what his mother's reaction would be to what he'd just said. He was so terrified, his insides suddenly felt as if he was going to have a sudden bout of explosive diarrhea. "What?" Phyllis cried, again, totally confused, but suddenly beginning to understand. Steve just sat looking dumbfounded at the two boys. "Oh Dude!" Mark sighed, and sadly he wrapped his arms around Aaron. He felt terrible for his little step-brother, whose body he could feel had begun trembling, he figured, out of fear. Gently he hugged the boy, then kissed him on his right ear. Softly he said, "You really shouldn't have done that. There was no reason. This is my problem, not your's. You need to know that I'll always be there for you though, even if I'm not right with you, and yeah, if you ever need me, you can come to me, wherever I am, and I'll help you. But, right now you're not going anywhere. You have to stay here, whether you want to or not. You're not old enought to leave yet, and don't have anywhere else you can go. I have some choices though." "Y-you won't let me come with you?" Aaron asked, astonished, and suddenly fearful that he'd made a huge blunder and would end up abandoned and not wanted by anyone. His eyes began to water. "Of course I would," Mark started to say. "It's just that - " "Nobody's going anywhere!" Steve declared suddenly in an exasperated but firm voice, and he pounded his fist on the end table next to him for emphasis, causing everyone to jump. He got up then and stepped over to the boys. As they both looked a little fearfully at him, he contemplated both of them for a moment. Suddenly then Steve pushed his left arm between Aaron and Mark and pulled them apart, pulling Aaron into a hug with his left arm, and at the same time, he wrapped his right arm around Mark and pulled him into a hug as well. Squeezing both boys firmly, in a voice thick with emotion, Steve said "Nobody is leaving here! You're both our sons and we love you both no matter what! Whether you're straight or gay doesn't matter. We just want you to be healthy, safe, and happy. We're your family and we love you, and this is your home. You don't ever have to feel like we don't want you here with us!" For a moment nobody moved or said a word. Then, first Mark, who'd been most upset earlier, began to tremble again. Feeling his son giving way to his emotions, Steve held him more firmly. Then, as Aaron became aware that Mark was crying again, he finally began to weep as well. Steve tightened his grip on his stepson then too. Suddenly there was a huge sob from behind them, and Gran gasped, "That was so beautifully said Steven!" A moment later everyone in the room, including steve, was weeping. Quickly, Phyllis leaped up and ran around the backs of the boys and hugged them both tightly as well, and through choked sobs cried, "That's exactly how I feel too!" Aaron, who'd been terrified of his mother's thoughts about everything suddenly began sobbing hysterically then, and finally the huge knot of tension in his chest and belly dissipated. "OK!" Steve said finally, a minute or so later, as he straightened up and released the boys, who'd both finally stopped crying. He stood back looking at them both, and asked "Do you both now understand that our love for you is unconditional, and that you will always be loved and have a home with us?" Snuffling, Mark nodded, and looked ready to cry anew. Aaron was still shaking and wiping his eyes, but nodded as well. "Good!" Steve said, sniffling himself. >From behind them, Gran blew her nose loudly, then as everyone looked at her, she said, "I'll just say, in case you're uncertain, that I feel the same way your parents do! Now, I think I'll go freshen up a bit, as I expect you might like to have a little time to speak more privately." With that Gran turned and walked out of the room. "So, you're really gay then too?" Phyllis asked, looking at Aaron. He nodded, looking a little warily at her yet. "It's OK if you are Honey, just... are you sure you understand what it means to be gay?" she asked. "Completely," Aaron said, resignedly. "And... Kyle?" she asked, uncertainly. Aaron looked at his mother for a moment, then said, "He's my boyfriend, but Mom - you can't tell his parents about us! He's not 'out' yet and it might not go well for him if you tell them.... actually - can you please not tell anyone? Nobody but Kyle and you guys knows about me yet." Smiling a little sadly, Phyllis nodded and said, "I won't tell anyone Aaron. I'll leave that to you to handle." "Thanks," Aaron said. "Same goes for me and Chris please!" Mark said, looking at his father. Steve smiled and nodded, then said, "You were that scared of telling your mother and I?" Before Mark could think of a reply, Steve suddenly gasped and cried, "Oh shit! Your mother!" As everyone watched Steve quickly picked up the phone and dialed his ex-wife's number. "Just calm down will you?" Steve responded testily, to Mark's mother's apparently less than pleasant greeting. "Everything's OK over here! You didn't book a plane ticket already did you?" "Don't be such a bitch Roxanne!" Steve said in a more surly tone. Quickly Mark grabbed the phone from his father's grip, and gasped into the mouthpiece, "Mom! Stop! Please! Dad's really been great! You'd be so proud of him!" His voice began to waver then, as he began crying again, as he told her how wonderful his father was and about what a great speech he'd made. Weeping softly, Mark tried his best to listen to his mother then, and as she spoke he began crying harder. "Thank you so much Mom! I love you too!" he gasped, in a choked voice. Then suddenly, unable to speak anymore, he handed the receiver back to Steve. As Mark covered his face and continued shaking, Phyllis stepped over to him and wrapped her arms around him. Mark put his around her then, and let her hold him as he wept some more. "It's OK Rox, I understand," Steve was saying in his usual tone then, into the phone. Then after a pause, he said, "Yeah, everything's gonna be fine." "OK," he said a moment later. "Sorry for keeping you up so late. Go get some sleep." He hung up the receiver then, and at about the same time, Mark gathered himself together and extricated himself from his step-mother's embrace. "She was gonna fly over here?" Mark asked his father then. "Yeah," Steve said. "She was threatening to at least, when she thought I might be a jerk about things." "Hmm... would've been nice to see her once. Maybe you shouldn't have called her! Anyway, was there ever a reason for her to be worried?" Mark asked, looking curiously at his father. "No!" Steve said, emphatically. "Not from the moment I saw you and Chris at Grand Central, even though you didn't know it, have you ever had a reason to be worried. That's why I wish you'd realized, so you didn't have to keep hiding who you really are from me." "Well..." Mark said. "I didn't know that." "I know," Steve said. "I wish I'd said something earlier." "Like what?" Mark asked, a little incredulously. "You mean during our sex talk when I was 10, you would've said, 'Oh and son, by the way, it's OK if you turn out gay!'?" "Well," Steve said, smirking slightly. "I suppose yeah, I could've said something like that." "But then, what if I wasn't, and I thought you thought I was?" Mark asked. "Well... yeah," Steve said. "Jesus Christ, let's not bother with this discussion at this point. It's pointless. We know now, and you know we're OK with it - with both of you!" "Yes!" Phyllis said. As both boys smiled, Phyllis looked at Mark, and said, "So, that's why Chris gave you the necklace for Christmas, isn't it?" Shyly, and blushing a little Mark smiled and nodded. Phyllis reached out and lifted Mark's necklace away from his skin and leaned in to look more carefully at it. "Well, it's quite pretty, and Chris is quite a little 'hottie' too!" she said. "That Kyle's turning out to be quite the handsome young man too!" Gran said, as she walked back in from the kitchen. Everyone looked at her a little surprised. "Well, he is!" she said, defensively. "You fellas both have good taste in men! Now are we going to figure out what we're having for dinner or not?" Everybody broke out laughing then over Gran's comment. * * * Later that evening, after everyone had retired for the night, Mark and Aaron each called their respective boyfriends and told them what had happened. Chris was happy for Mark, and very happy that the people he had begun to think of as future in-laws, were so accepting of Mark's preferences. He was also happy to hear that they weren't going to 'out' him to his family, and that they were OK with he and Mark being in a relationship together. Kyle was shocked, and suddenly very worried, no matter what Aaron's mother had said, that someone in the family might purposely, or accidentally, tell his family that he was gay too. He also wondered how Aaron's mother was going to feel about her son hanging out with him all the time. Would she try to keep them apart, so they couldn't have sex anymore? In the end, neither Chris nor Kyle had anything to worry about. Nobody said a word to anyone in their families, nor did they treat either of them any differently than they had in the past. If anything, Phyllis and Steve actually treated Chris and Kyle more warmly than they had in the past. Aaron himself was especially surprised though, that his mother didn't try to interfere in his relationship with Kyle. When Phyllis caught him studying her one evening a week or so later, as he was about to leave to go over to Kyle's for a sleepover, after earlier having cautiously asked if he could spend the night at Kyle's, and she had agreed, she asked him what was wrong. "Nothing I guess," Aaron said. "Then why are you giving me the eye?" Phyllis asked. Aaron thought a moment, then finally couldn't stand it, and asked, "So, you're really OK with me sleeping over at Kyle's?" "Sure, why wouldn't I be?" Phyllis asked, eyeing her son. "You know why?" Aaron said. "Aaron," Phyllis said. "The lifestyle you're going to live is going to be different from the lifestyle I live. It's not something I can stop from happening, even if I wanted to, which... I don't. You need to live your life in whatever way makes you happiest. Now... I have some idea about what you and Kyle do with each other. And I don't need or want any details. But, whether I allow you to spend the night with him or not, I'm pretty sure that the two of you would find a different time and place to do the same things you'll do when you sleep over at his house, so... there's really no reason for me to not allow you to spend the night with him. I do want to caution you though about STD's. I know you learned about them in school. But Aaron, please always be careful. As long as neither you nor Kyle are with someone else, it should be 'safe' for you to be together. But if either of you ever decides to go with someone else, you need to use precautions, so you don't catch anything. Do you understand?" "Yeah," Aaron said, surprised by his mother's long, and so 'open' speech. "Um, we already talked about it, and there's nobody else for either of us." "Good!" Phyllis said. "And Aaron, if you ever want or need to talk about anything - you can always come to me! About anything!" "Thanks Mom," Aaron said, feeling a slight lump forming in his throat, and his eyes stinging slightly. "I love you!" "I love you too baby," Phyllis said, and she grabbed Aaron and pulled him to her into a hug. As Aaron headed out the door to walk over to Kyle's he couldn't stop smiling. He'd finally gotten all of his wishes! He was gay, and out to his family, and they were OK with it. And, he had a great older step-brother, who was hot, and who he could occasionally (although not often enough to suit him) talk into sleeping with him. And he had a pretty decent boyfriend, who was turning out to be really 'hot', and who was always horny as Hell, just like he was! What more could he really ask for? The End ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An Epilogue to this story will be published shortly...
