"When is Doctor Dad going to start exercising?" asked Jason. "He's too old." said Beau. "He needs his sleep." I went through the morning routine and when I sat down, Beau brought my coffee. I grabbed him and said, "I'm too old, am I? We'll see on Monday." Jeff brought the suitcases downstairs and loaded them into the trunk of my car. "Dad, you need to pick us up here at 5:00." Jeff delivered Beau and went to get Mrs. Tillison. She didn't come out, so Jeff went in. "Jeff, these two don't want to go to school." she said, as she pointed to Adam and Aaron. Jeff took it from there. "Butch and his two henchmen have been put in jail. You will go to your classes, and if anyone says anything just say, "We were in an accident. And don't say any more." Everyone went to college and the day went smoothly, until the paper came out with the story of the rape on campus. When Reg, Mrs. T., Adam and Jeff went to lunch, Adam said, "Everyone is looking at me funny. They think I'm the person that Tricia was talking about in her feature article." Jeff read the article and said, "Buddy boy, this article does not mention any names, nor does it mention the sex of the person, so stop being such a cry baby." Reg, who had not been in the loop, grabbed Adam and hugged him. Mrs. T. and Jeff left to get dressed and told Reg to introduce them. When class finished, Jeff went to his job and worked on several small problems and then went to pick up the guys. They left Denny in charge. I arrived and we all got ready to go. We arrived at the airport just as a corporate jet pulled up and refueled. Mrs. T., Josh and Ben arrived, and our baggage was loaded. We took off and a young steward served us drinks and brought a snack. Mrs. T., Josh, and Ben went to sleep. Beau and Jason were so excited, they couldn't sit still. The pilot came back and asked them if the would like to drive the plane. Wrong question. They were both eager and he took them each up front for about 15 minutes. I couldn't believe Jeff. He read, the entire time. When we landed, the crew unloaded our baggage. And the Captain said, "We'll see you lovely people about 3:00 on Sunday afternoon." We found our rental cars, and got directions to the hotel. We checked in and we had two double suites. You entered into a sitting room and there were bedrooms off to either side. Mrs. T. and Josh and Ben had the same arrangement. When everyone had unpacked, we assembled in Grams' suite. Jason asked, "Can we please go see visit Grandma Ginny first." We drove to the home. Jason grabbed Beau and we entered the home. The receptionist said, "Hi Jason, your Grandma is in the sun room." Jason led us to the sun room. He ran to his Grandmother and hugged her. He introduced us, starting with Mrs. T. "This is Grams Tillison. She lives in a big house with a swimming pool in the basement, and is always telling people what to do." He moved to Josh, and said, "This Dr. Josh Benson. He is director of the Homeless Children's Home where I was taken." He moved to Ben and said, "This Doctor Ben Jameson. He is a psychiatrist. He and Uncle Josh sold their house in Norfolk and are living with Grams now. Doesn't he look just like Daddy looked? I think he is my Grandfather, right?" He moved to me and said, "This is Doctor Dad Wilson. He's one of those doctors that listens to your heart and checks you all over, to see if you are okay. I live at his house now, and he is my foster dad and has legal control over me right now." He went to Jeff and said, "This is the boss, Jeff Wilson. He is the one that yanked both me and Beau out of that homeless children's home. He keeps trying to solve everyone's problems. Between him and Grams, there is no doubt what is going to happen. He is Doctor Wilson's son, so I guess he is a foster brother. He put his arms around Beau and said, "This is my new brother, Beau Benson. He lives with us, and he is also Dr. Wilson's foster son. He doesn't go to school, and is going to be home schooled. Right now he baby sits and helps Gigi. He's rather bossy sometimes, but he is usually right." He then turned to Mrs. Powers. "This is Grandmother Ginny Powers. Isn't she pretty? She was injured in an accident, when my Granddad Powers died. She has had all kinds of surgeries, but the doctors say she'll never be able to walk again." Beau went and hugged Mrs. Powers and gave her a kiss, "Jason is right, Grandma Ginny. You are beautiful." She hugged him. The rest of us shook her hand except Jeff, who hugged her and kissed her. Jason said, "You big people have business to talk about. Come on Jeff and Beau, let's entertain these people. We'll be in the game room." There was all call, "This is Jason Powers, Ginny Powers' grandson. There will be some entertainment in the game room in five minutes." Jason led the guys to the game room, and there was a man playing the guitar. Jason went to him and asked, "Mr. Blackwell, may Jeff borrow your guitar please?" "Sure Jason." the man answered, as he handed him the guitar. Jason turned to Beau and Jeff and said, "We'll start of with Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, and then Jeff can lead us in songs." The people assembled and Jason stood and said, "For those of you who don't know me, I am Jason Powers, Ginny Powers' grandson. This is my step brother, Beau Benson and this is my foster brother, Jeff Wilson. We'll start off by singing a fun song for you, and then we want you to join us in some other songs." Jeff took the guitar and sat on a stool and started to play. Beau and Jason went to the side and came strutting in. and the three of them started to sing as Jeff played the guitar. When they finished, the people applauded warmly. Jeff went to the piano and said, "Everyone join me. He started to play Bicycle Built for Two, and followed with several more sing-a-long songs. The people were starting to get into it. He then picked up the guitar and started to play, When the Saints Come Marching In, and Beau and Jason lead the group as they moved and clapped. The rest of us went into the Game Room and Jeff saw us and stood and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, we hope you enjoyed this time, but we need to stop now because we just flew in from Fremont, Nebraska this evening, and have not eaten dinner yet. Before we go, the guys will sing one last song for you." Jeff sat down at the piano and pretended to pray and the guys caught on to what he was indicating and stood, as Jeff played the introduction and the guys started to sing The Lord's Prayer. When they finished, Jeff stood and took the guitar to Mr. Blackwell and said, "Thank you for letting me use your guitar, sir." "Anytime son. You play so much better than I ever could. "Mr. Blackwell had tears in his eyes. Jason waved at the people and said, "We'll see you wonderful people again before we leave on Sunday." Everyone applauded. As we were leaving, a little lady came up to Jeff. "Young man, I would love to hear you really play and sing. I was a professor in the music department at the university, before I had my stroke. I'm Evelyn Thomas. I hope that the next time, you will be able to display your talents even more thoroughly. All three of you young men are so talented." Jeff hugged her and kissed her and said, "We'll try, lovely lady." Jason said goodnight to his Grandmother and we went to eat at a restaurant near the hotel. When we finished, Ben paid the bill and left the tip. We went back to the hotel. Mrs. Tillison took charge and said, "Jason and Beau, you guys go into your sitting room and watch TV or whatever, and help yourselves to the mini bar. We are going to have a meeting in the other lounge." When we got into the lounge, Mrs. T. said, "I want a stiff drink." as she pulled out a bottle of scotch. Josh and Ben joined her, but Jeff and I opted for a beer. She started, "Tomorrow, everyone needs to be up by 7:00 and ready for breakfast by eight. We are meeting the lawyer at the home, at 9:00 to make our plans for the rest of the day." "I have to tell everyone what happened yesterday. Adam is a fairly wealthy man, but I don't think he fully realizes the full extent of it yet. When we arrived yesterday morning, the step father had already been arrested. It seems he arrived back in Nebraska City on Wednesday, with an urn. He went to the undertaker and said his son had died in an accident and arranged for a memorial service today." "He went to the bank and tried to get Adam's money. The bank people refused, and said they needed a death certificate before they could release the money. When the creep was arrested, he was trying to forge a death certificate." "Adam pressed charges against him, and we then went through the things in Adam's house and found the important papers. His mother had put the house in Adam's name, and had put Adam's money into a trust, until he turned 18. His stepfather had told Adam he had to be 21 before he could get the money." "We had found Adam's birth certificate, and he can have immediate access to the money. The Chief of Police recommended his son-in-law as a lawyer and Adam really liked him." "After lunch, we went to visit Mitchell's parents. They are the nicest people, and so completely unassuming. When Mitchell's twin nine year old brothers came home from school, I fell in love. They remind me so much of Jason." "Next Saturday, the guys are going to go get their things, and Adam's furniture and furnish one of my rentals." Before she could finish, there was a knock on the door. Jeff answered and Beau and Jason came staggering in. Beau slurred his words and said, "We came to see if we could borrow some things from your mini bar since we emptied ours." "You what?" said Jeff. He quickly went and checked and when he came back he said, "There mini bar is empty okay. Jason, come here." Jason wobbled over to him. Jeff kissed Jason on the mouth and said, "You smell like chocolate ice cream. What did you do with the things in the mini bar?" "We sold them to pay for our milk shakes." Beau answered. "Okay guys, let's go put everything back and get ready for bed." Jeff said. I followed them and the guys had put the stuff under one of the chairs. They quickly put the things back, and everyone started to get ready for a shower. The guys decided to save water by us all taking a shower at the same time. We took our showers and went to bed.
