Chapter 58 "I'm so sorry, Charlie," Justin texted for the 30th time that day, yet the boy didn't respond. Sure, Justin thought, he's at school, but that's never stopped him before. "Please message me, Charlie! I miss you so much. Are you mad at me? I'm sorry if I did anything wrong! Let me make it up to you!" Frustrated, Justin threw his phone, cracking the screen. He didn't like being ignored, and he no longer trusted Charlie. They hadn't ever gone this long without communicating, and panic was choking the reason out of him. Justin had already missed his morning classes and he was in no mood to return for the afternoon. The last thing he wanted was to see Billy or Trevor...or Ry. Since Billy hadn't confronted him yet, Charlie clearly hadn't told his half-brother what happened; however, there was still Ry. The gimp would make sure everyone in the school knew that Justin liked little boys, and that was something he wasn't ready to face publicly. "Fuck it," Justin said, feeling some inspiration. He watched the video of him and Charlie having sex the first time and jerked off. The memory of how tight the prepubescent boy's ass was and how much he cried out as Justin filled him, caused Justin to cum once more. Afraid of what might have happened since they last spoke, Justin deleted the video from his phone. Luckily, he had a copy saved to the cloud in an anonymous account created at school. He showered and drove to Charlie's school to get some answers. ..... "I'm glad you're finally getting back to me," Brenda said, still on Cloud 9 after her meeting with Will a few minutes before. "I'm not interested in having dinner with you," Rick said. "Have you talked to Will yet?" "No? Why?" Brenda couldn't help but giggle. "You might want to talk to your lawyer before telling us no. It's not good for the baby." Her giggle turned into a laugh as Rick swore then hung up. It's only a matter of time now, she thought to herself. Sure enough, just as Brenda pulled into her parking spot, Rick called. "So, I was thinking about that cute, little Italian place you went for Ry's birthday," she said with no other formality or phone etiquette. "How do you know about that?" Rick asked, his tone was much more annoyed than before. "Billy is a social media butterfly. He sure has a way with selfies, don't you think?" Brenda baited. "I guess," Rick said, even more confused than before. Brenda gave a knowing giggle and said, "How about five o'clock? I'm sure you can come right after word." "Fine," he spat and hung up. Brenda continued to laugh all the way to her apartment. She turned on her computer and did some searches for the documents she'd need. She found custody and parenting time documents from the court and while she was at it, she made an appointment for assistance with the paperwork and another to the district attorney's office for later that day. When asked what it was about, Brenda only said that she thinks a child may have been sexually abused but she wasn't 100% certain and wanted to talk to someone about the evidence she managed to collect. The secretary urged her to call the police, but Brenda said she didn't want to waste their time if it was really nothing. Once those were taken care of, she printed off a marriage license and made an appointment at the courthouse to get married. All of her appointments were for the next day and she couldn't be happier. She then made a reservation for two at the Italian restaurant, pleased with herself after giving Will the wrong information about her dinner plans. "That should keep him out of our hair for the night. Now what to wear?" Brenda said, as she opened her closet doors. ..... Justin sat impatiently on the side of the road, closest to the entrance. He knew he wasn't allowed on school property, so he hoped he was close enough for Charlie to hear him calling out. Justin contemplated sending a text, but at the odd chance that Charlie had talked to the police, he didn't want them to be tipped off to his presence too soon. The last bell of the day rang. Shortly after, the throng of students left the building. Many walked towards the already parked and waiting buses, while others either had rides or were bravely walking home. A few of the boys caught his eye, but there was only one he wanted to take home and fuck. "There you are," Justin said aloud to himself as he exited his vehicle. "CHARLIE!" Justin yelled, waving his arms. It took another two tries but eventually, Charlie, David and Joey looked his way, and Justin didn't like the look he got from Charlie. "I'M GIVING YOU A RIDE HOME!" "NO!" Charlie yelled back. Justin could see the confusion on the other boys' faces but the hurried whispers from Charlie had awakened Justin's paranoia. Without thinking, he walked onto the property and headed straight to his new toy. "Charlie," Justin snapped, "Get in the car, now!" "I said, 'NO!'" Charlie shouted, causing Joey, David and several other students to jump. "What's going on here?" Mrs. McGrady demanded. Before Justin could say a word, Charlie said, "He's trying to make me go with him. I'm not supposed to and I don't want to." "Your dad sent me," Justin lied, hoping the adult would buy it. Unfortunately, not. "You're not authorized to remove students from this campus, so I highly suggest you leave before I call the police and report you. If you're telling the truth, you can work it out with Mr. Barton later." Not wanting the police involved, Justin glared at Charlie and stormed off. Mrs. McGrady made Charlie and Joey stay behind and offered to drive them to Charlie's personally. ..... Ry had the feeling he was being watched shortly after the cab left Will's office. He tried to look around at the cars, but he still wasn't healed enough to do a lot of twisting and turning. He wondered if Justin was on to Charlie or not, since Ry made it clear that his little brother wasn't to reply to any of Justin's pathetic messages. Ry wanted to take Charlie's phone and tell Justin off, but he wasn't sure how Justin would react, which could've left Charlie vulnerable. Ry sent Will a text asking if it would be alright to run a couple errands in the cab. After a few minutes, Will said it was alright but to let him know where Ry was headed, when he got to his destinations and when he left. Ry felt that it was rather overprotective but agreed, since it was Will's money funding the trips. ..... Justin watched and waited. He saw Ry get out of a cab and hobble into the house. Justin ducked down, not wanting to be seen by the eldest Barton brother. The last thing he wanted was a confrontation before talking to Charlie. A few minutes later, Charlie's bus went by without stopping. Justin's anxiety, which had been on edge since he left the school, was making him jumpy and jittery. "Come on, Charlie. Where the fuck are you?" He kept saying, over and over, as if it were a mantra. He wanted to blow up the boy's phone with more texts, but Justin wasn't sure who might be reading them. He let out a sigh of relief when, several minutes later, a car pulled into the driveway, and Charlie and Joey got out. However, just as he was about to open his door, Ry came out of the house looking panicked. Justin watched as Charlie ran to his brother and hugged him. Ry held Charlie, while talking to Joey and the teacher from earlier. "You fucking piece of shit," Justin swore. It was clear to Justin that Charlie told on him. He knew that Ry would only believe Charlie, but Justin had a plan. It was very risky, but it was better than nothing. "Charlie!" Justin called out, as he shut his car door. Everyone jumped, and Justin saw the tears on Charlie's face. "I think we need to talk!" "Get the fuck outta here," Ry snarled at Justin. He pushed Charlie and Joey behind him; pure hate in his eyes. "Ry, this is between me and your brother," Justin said. "He's been lying about me, and I want it stopped." "I'm warning you, Justin." Ry barked, noticeably shaking with suppressed rage. "I've called the police and they're on their way." Justin stopped. He couldn't tell if Ry was bluffing or not. "That's not funny. I didn't do anything, and Charlie knows it. I wouldn't ever hurt anyone, isn't that right, Joey?" Ry's brain acknowledged Justin's statement but his emotions wouldn't allow him to focus on anyone else. He barely recognized one of the two cars that drove by as the one that had been following him since he left Will's office. "So help me, Justin. If you EVER come around my family again, I'll fucking kill you." Justin smirked despite himself. "I'd love to see you try." "Hello, police," Mrs. McGrady said, all unaware that she had been on her cellphone. "I need to report a crime." "This isn't over, Charlie. Not by a long shot," Justin said over his shoulder before running back to his car. Mrs. McGrady managed to get a partial number off of Justin's license plate, which she hastily gave the 9-1-1 operator. "Get in the house, both of you," Ry said to Charlie and Joey, as he sent his Dad, Will and Billy texts. ..... Rick managed to get off early. He didn't want to take any longer than was necessary. As he left the office, he saw that Ry had sent him a text, but Rick ignored it. He was sure his son wanted to know what he wanted for dinner, and Rick didn't want to hear about how he shouldn't be meeting with Brenda. Not wanting to be bothered till after his conversation with Brenda, Rick silenced his phone and drove to the restaurant. "The reservation is under Swanson," Rick said as approached the head waiter. "I'm sorry, Sir. I don't have a reservation under that name," the man said, looking at his screen. Rick sighed. His memory of the place had been a happy one. Ry's birthday dinner was a great evening. However, it was being sullied by the vulture awaiting him. Rick grit his teeth and said, "Try looking under 'Barton.'" The head waiter looked, smiled and said, "Ah, here we are, and it looks like your wife has already checked in." "She's not my wife," Rick said, trying to hold his anger. The waiter gave Rich a quizzical look before taking to the table. "Darling, I'm so glad you could make it early," Brenda said, in a sickly warm and sweet tone. Rick wanted to walk out or punch her. "Why didn't you go home and change?" She asked, as she was in the black dress from their trip to Chicago. "Can I get you something to drink?" The waiter asked, sensing the tension coming from Rick. "No thanks. I won't be here that long." Rick sat down without acknowledging the annoyed look on Brenda's face. "So, it's going to be like that is it?" Brenda spat after the waiter left. "Afraid so," Rick said in kind. "Fine, have it your way," she said. Brenda reached in her purse and pulled out Rick's copy of the pregnancy results. As he opened the envelope, she took out the various documents she got from the court. "Satisfied?" "No," he said flatly, "but if these are real, then I'm suing you for custody." Brenda laughed loudly. Several people around them turned in their seats to see what was so funny; however, it was a mirthless laugh. "You honestly think a judge would give you custody?" "I have three kids, two of whom are almost adults, and I can afford a nanny if necessary. You're not fit enough to be a parent with the way you treated Charlie, and there's no way in Hell I'm going to let around anymore of my children." Brenda snickered behind her glass of water. "What's so funny? You know you have no chance at winning." Brenda stifled another outburst of laughter, put down her glass and pulled out another envelope from her purse. She passed it to Rick, who cautiously opened it. Brenda found the look on Rick's face to be priceless. She would've taken a pic, but she needed Rick to think sensibly. "What the fuck is this? Rick quietly demanded. "Where did you get these?" "You mean the dick pics Billy has been sending you?" Brenda asked innocently. "They were sent to my email anonymously." Rick was sure his face paled as he felt the blood drain from his head. He felt dizzy and sick with anxiety and mounting fear. "These aren't of my son, you fucking cunt." Brenda ignored Rick's attempt to get under her skin; after all, she wasn't a sore winner. "I know for a fact that they're of your 16-year-old son...or should I say, 14-and-15-year-old, since these were sent over the course of our relationship. Which begs the question: Were you cheating on me with him or on him with me?" "Fuck you!" "Well, that's how we got here in the first place, isn't it?" "These aren't of Billy and you can't prove it, otherwise," Rick growled, as he got to his feet. "But I can," Brenda said. "Well, Ry can; after all, he knows who Daddysboy12 really is, doesn't he?" ..... "Come on! Answer, damn it!" Ry yelled into his phone. His dad wasn't responding despite the eight calls and countless texts Ry personally made, not to mention all the ones Billy did. "Is your father on his way?" Office Turnbull asked. Ry threw up his arms so violently, he almost fell over. Billy grabbed him and said to the officer, "We still can't get a hold of him." "I see," the young, attractive cop said, "Unless he shows up soon, I'm afraid there's not much I can do." "So, you're going to do nothing?" Ry said angrily. "Our brother was raped by a psychopath! And you're just going to let it happen?" Officer Turnbull remained calm but replied in a firm tone. "I never said I wasn't going to do something, but without your father here, changes can't be pressed; however, I have Charlie's statement and I'm taking his comforter in for processing." To Billy, he added politely, "When your dad gets home, have him call me immediately." Officer Turnbull handed Billy a business card and left with Charlie blanket in an evidence bag. "Where the fuck is he?" Ry spat. "He should've been home hours ago!" "Calm the fuck down, will you!" Billy demanded. "You're not helping Charlie behaving like this, and he has to be our priority right now." Ry sat next to Trevor on the couch as Billy went to check on Charlie, who was in his room with Joey. He sent Rick another text. This one was loaded with sarcasm about how he had better be enjoying himself, since he probably gave Justin enough time to flee the state. "They're going to him, you know," Trevor said. "No, I don't know that," Ry said, a little too aggressive. "You heard what the cop said. Without our dad, Justin won't be arrested." "I think we're both smart enough to know that your dad will be home soon and will call immediately. That's if he doesn't stop by the police station and press charges on his way home; in fact, he could be doing that right now." "Then why the fuck hasn't he answered his phone or sent a text?" Trevor shrugged unbothered by Ry's attitude. "Many reasons, actually. He could've lost his phone, the battery died and he doesn't have a charger, he could've turned it off for a meeting and forgot to turn it back on...." Ry was even more pissed by Trevor's reasonable use of logic. "I'm going for a walk," he said. "You sure that's a good idea?" Trevor asked, revealing his concern. "I need to clear my head or I'm going to kill someone. I'll be back soon." Ry grabbed his jacket and crutch before heading out the door. ..... Justin drove and drove not knowing when or where to stop. He nearly pissed himself whenever he heard a siren or saw flashing lights. They were always fire trucks or ambulances, but the fear never abated. Justin had become so overwhelmed, he pulled over behind a supermarket and passed out. When he woke up, it was dark out. He looked at the time and decided that he couldn't live out of his car. He drove by the trailer park a few times and, when he was satisfied that the police weren't there, he took a chance and pulled into his driveway. Nobody was home and the neighbors didn't seem to be nosier than normal. Justin guessed he only had fifteen minutes at most, so he had to make every second count. He got out and ran into the darkened house. ..... "You could try fighting me," Brenda said, reaching into her purse once more, "but then, we'd have to go to court, and I'd feel obligated to show the judge these emails and pics of your teenage son's dick and asshole. Of course, I'd have to call Ry to the stand and have him explain who Daddysboy12 really is, which would then open an investigation. All three boys would have to go into foster care at that point, since your ex is still in prison and Will is a pedophile. Ry and Charlie would hate you for the rest of their lives, your unborn child will never know you, since I'd never let you around them, let alone go to visits, while you rot in prison, yourself. Billy still might want you, but that would make him choose between you and his family. And then there's Will and what he might do to you. I mean, he bankrupted the last man who fucked his son, so there's that. "But, we could find another alternative that would make everyone happy. I mean, you want everyone to be happy don't you, Rick?" Brenda asked, as she was preparing her final move. "What do you want?" Rick asked, tears forming at the corners of his eyes. He had been worried about Trevor knowing, but it was the sociopath before him that was about to destroy him and his family. "Nothing more than I wanted since our trip to Chicago," she said, placing the ring box on the table. "You didn't know it at the time, but I was going to propose then. You made it clear how you felt about marriage and your kids, so I decided to wait. I didn't realize that you were going to dump me for that fat bastard you have." Rick looked murderous, which only made Brenda laugh, since she knew Rick was in no position to fight back. She continued, "But, here we are at last, my love. We get to have our happy ending with our new little family. You, me and our baby." "And what about my boys?" Rick asked, not wanting to hear the response. "Ry and Billy will be out of the house soon enough, and once they're gone, we can send Charlie to this little military academy I found in Upstate New York, just outside of Buffalo." "That's on the other side of the country!" "Yes, which is really sad, but I think, as his new mother, it'll be the best place for him to work out his issues, don't you think? I mean, he hates me and will, undoubtedly, hate you for marrying me. I'm afraid of what he might do to our baby, especially given his now well-documented, violent history of bullying and assaults at school." Rick sat in silence trying to figure a way out of his situation. "Fine," he said, tears falling down his face. "You win." Brenda smiled and said, "So, you'll marry me? I'll need to hear your answer." "Yes," he said, trying to choke down the bile building in throat, "I'll marry you." ..... Although he walked slowly, Ry traveled a greater distance than expected. The sun was starting to go down when he came to a stop at a nearby park. Most of the snow had melted, which made the sidewalks easier to traverse. Billy blew up his phone, but it was their father Ry wanted to hear from. In the entire time he had known Rick, Ry had never known his adopted father to ignore an emergency text. Sure, there was a chance that Trevor was right, but something didn't settle well with Ry. He suspected that Brenda was behind this, but without knowing where his dad was, Ry was powerless to sort it all out. "Meet me at Luther Park. NOW! We need to talk!" A text from an unknown number demanded. Who the fuck is this?" Ry texted back. "You know who this is! Don't play games with me!" It had to be Justin, Ry thought. "How did you get my number?" "How do you think? Amanda! Now get your ass there!" Ry considered not going. Luther Park was another 20 minute walk at his speed, and his leg was hurting him; however, he really wanted to hurt someone, and Justin was more than deserving. "Alright, motherfucker, I'm on my way, and you better fucking be there!" Finding a new font of hatred, Ry made his way to Luther Park. So full of rage, Ry hadn't paid any attention to the car that had been following him since he left his house. ..... Justin had a hard time making up his mind on what he would need. He'd never done anything of the sort before and wasn't sure what life on the run was going to be like. After packing what clothes he had and a few other sentimental items, Justin packed up his laptop, which contained the videos and pics of all his little lovers, including Charlie and Bell brothers. He heard a car door slam out front and jumped. It was too close. Luckily, he decided to pack in the dark; unfortunately, there was only one way in and out of the trailer park, and his car was in the driveway. Justin frantically looked for a reasonable hiding spot. He went into the closet as he heard his front door open and close. "Justin, you home?!" A familiar voice called out. Justin wasn't sure how to react, but since it wasn't the cops, he called out, "Yeah, Dad, I'm in my room." Justin's dad walked down the hall, as Justin stepped out of the closet and returned to packing. "Boy," Mark said, "we need to have a talk," and he turned on a light. ..... "I'm so excited, aren't you?" Brenda said, wrapping her arm and Rick's arm. Rick didn't respond. In fact, he hardly said a word, since he reluctantly agreed to the cunt's blackmail. "Come on! We're engaged!" Brenda said, amused at her future husband's reaction. "I can think of a million other situations that are much worse than marrying me," she said. "Name one," Rick said. "Do you know what they do to guys like you in prison? You know, a child molester?" Brenda ribbed. "I'm not a fucking child molester," Rick snapped back. "Whatever you say," Brenda said dismissively. "I'm sure a judge would disagree with you. What?" Brenda said, guessing Rick's response. "Are you seriously going to tell me or anyone else that Billy asked for it? I'm sure that will go down like a lead balloon in the prison showers. Your 14-year-old son asked you to have sex with him, and you were more than happy to oblige? "Poor Ronda! She went to prison for nearly killing the man who TRIED to rape her eldest boy. Imagine what she'd do to the man was actually DID rape him! It's a good thing you have me, because I won't let that psycho anywhere near us." Rick was about to reply when a man in dark clothes quickly moved towards them with a gun drawn. "Give everything you got! Now!" ..... "Where are you going in such a hurry?" Mark asked. "I'm staying at Grandma's for a couple of days," Justin said, closing his first duffle bag. "Really? A few days?" "Is that a problem?" Justin asked, moving on to his next bag. "Yeah, Justin, it kinda is." Justin ignored his father's bitter tone. "You're hardly ever here, so I didn't think you'd care." Justin let out yelp as his father punched him in the back of the head, sending him falling face first onto his belongings. "Don't play games with me boy!" Mark snarled. "I know what you did to Charlie Barton." Justin froze and didn't respond. "I thought I beat that impulse out of you after what you did to the Bell boys, you fucking disgusting pervert. I hoped Brian's death had taught you a lesson, but I guess you felt the need to ruin another little boy's life, huh? You make me fucking sick!" Mark lashed out again, this time stomping down on Justin's leg, trying to break it. "Dad! Stop!" Justin cried out, pulling himself onto his bed. "I didn't do anything! I swear!" "More fucking lies!" Mark bellowed, moving in on Justin. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a fist full of pictures and threw them at Justin. "If you didn't do anything, you fucking cho-mo, then explain these!" Justin reached out a shaking hand and saw pics taken from Charlie's room. The angle indicated they were from Charlie's webcam, which was pointed at his bed. Justin recognized them as the last time he fucked the little boy. Justin sobbed, feeling betrayed. "He set me up, Dad! I swear he made me do it!" Mark didn't say a word. He backhanded Justin as hard as he could. "That's what you said about Brian Bell! He was only ten, Justin! You were fucking fourteen, Goddamnit! He killed himself because of what you did to him and his brother!" "No he didn't!" Justin yelled back, waiting for the beating that was sure to come. "I read his fucking note! I saw what it said! Did you? No, you didn't! Brian blamed you! He said it was your idea to do all those disgusting things and that it was your idea to get his little brother involved! Joey was only seven! Seven! Little kids can't consent to having sex, you freak!" Mark shouted as he punctuated each syllable with a blow to Justin's body. "The cops are looking for me!" Justin yelled, hoping it was enough to get his father to stop. Mark laughed and said, "No they're not. You fucked with the wrong kid this time. Nobody is coming to save your sorry ass this time!" "What?" Justin said, confused. He heard Charlie's teacher talking to the police. "The cops aren't coming, Justin. I was sent here to kill you by my boss, who also happens to be the kid's uncle. I told you that you fucked with the wrong kid!" Mark stood back and pulled a gun from behind his back and leveled it at his only child. There was no remorse. There was no regret. There was only a blinding hot hatred. "I should've done this years ago," he said. "Same," Justin said, pulling out his own gun from under his bag. Bang, bang, bang! ..... "I said give me everything," the armed gunman demanded. He pointed his weapon with a sturdy hand, making it clear that he wasn't nervous at all and if he wanted to kill them, he could easily do it. "Here," Rick said, pulling out his wallet. He opened it, took out his cash and card, before reaching out to the man, who quickly snatched them. "You too," the man said to Brenda. She looked like she was going to refuse, but Rick said, "Think of the baby! Your purse isn't worth a life! Now do what he asked!" "I'm pregnant!" Brenda said, bitterly. "If you cause my baby to die, you'll get the chair for it." "Don't push me, lady," the man said, with little emotion. "This is your last warning. Give me everything you have or I'm going to unload this in both of you." With a huff, Brenda took off her jewelry, put it all in her purse and tossed it at the man, who caught it without any effort. The man looked at Rick and said, "Give me your phone and your ring." Rick was glad to be without the ring, but he didn't want to give up his phone; however, neither item was worth more than seeing his boys again. Rick handed everything over and stepped back. "There, you have everything. Please, I'm a father of three boys. You have everything. Please let us go." "Sure," the man said, stuffing the valuables into Brenda's purse. "You're free to go." "Thanks," Rick said, relieved. "Come on," he said to Brenda, trying to lead her away. As they turned their backs, there were three gunshots. Bang, bang, bang! ..... Ry got to the entrance of the park, but he didn't see Justin nor his car anywhere. He sent a text demanding the rapist's location. After pressing send, you looked up and saw a car speeding his way...with no time to dodge. Bang, bang, BANG! ..... "Dad! Thank God!" Billy nearly shouted into the phone. "Where have you been? We've been trying to reach you all night!" "I've been with Mr. Bell," Will said. "The doctor's think he'll be able to go home in March." "Haven't you heard any of our voicemails?" Billy asked incredulously. "Hold on," he said. A few seconds later, he said, "Oh my! Billy, you need to take your brothers to the hospital now! Something's happened to Rick!" "What?!" Billy asked in shock. "What happened?" "I'll explain once we meet there. I"m leaving now." "Dad!" "What, Billy?" "Ry left hours ago and hasn't come home yet. I have no idea where he is or anything!" Billy began to cry. "I'll find him. In the meantime, take Charlie and Joey, and meet me at the hospital." ***Coming Soon, Chapter 59***
