My Step-Brother Jacob Chapter 71 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Soon after our plane took off from JFK, as we flew home to London, we were served dinner. "It's so queer to be given a whole dinner at 11:00 PM," I heard Jacob say from the seats in front of us. "This is my third dinner in 11 hours!" Harry replied. Chuckling, I said, "Just eat what you want of it, and leave the rest." The boys were quiet then, as they ate some of their meal. I did hear them murmuring quietly, and snickering every so often though. None of us felt like watching the movie after we'd eaten, as it was one we'd already seen. Besides, we were tired. And, as I found out shortly after the movie started, we were all horny as well. I had pulled out a book to read, and was just settling back with it. Andy had the aisle seat, and had just gotten a pillow and blanket, and was going to try and nap. Suddenly Jacob got up and stepped back to our seats. "Andy!" he said, smiling devilishly. "I don't feel so well. Could you come to the loo with me please!" "Are you gonna throw up?" I asked quietly, wondering why he was smiling so much, if he didn't feel well. "Andy can take care of me," Jacob smiled. "Besides, Harry said you might have to take care of him in a bit too." Suddenly, Andy and I understood. We looked at each other a bit shocked, but then grinned. "You'd best stop smiling so much if you're feeling poorly," I whispered, as Andy started to get up. Jacob flashed me a grin, then quickly put on a somber, sick to his stomach face, and headed to the back of the plane with Andy following him. * * * "Well, this is certainly a surprise!" Andy said to Jacob. The two had just squeezed into a restroom together, after mentioning to the steward that Jacob didn't feel well. "Harry and I thought it'd be different to switch off once!" Jacob replied, as he turned around and sat on the toilet. "Hurry up and drop your trousers!" "Well, I'm certainly chuffed!" Andy said, as he unbuckled his belt, and opened his pants, pushing them to his knees, exposing his semi-rigid rod. "MMMmmmm!" Jacob said, as he shoved his mouth over about half of Andy's twitching cock, and started sucking up and down on it. "Ohhh!" Andy murmured, as Jacob's mouth came into contact with him. Jacob couldn't get anymore of Andy's dick in his mouth, so he wrapped his right hand around the base of Andy's cock and started masturbating him as well. He hefted Andy's scrotum in his left hand, gently fondling his large egg-like testes. Silently, Jacob sucked up and down on Andy, as Andy leaned against the door of the rest room, with his head tilted back, basking in the sensual feelings Jacob's mouth and hands were giving him. About a minute and a half later, as Jacob continued working on Andy, Andy felt his orgasm building. "Soon Jacob!" he whispered. Jacob started moving a bit faster then. Within seconds, Andy's body stiffened up and he began to tremble slightly. Then with a gasp, he began flooding Jacob's mouth with his semen. Greedily Jacob swallowed every drop that Andy ejaculated into his mouth over the next several seconds, as moaning lowly Andy was wracked from his head to his toes with spasms of delight, each punctuated by the eruption of his life-giving fluid out his urethra. Jacob grinned up at Andy, once he'd finally sucked the last drops of cum out of him. "Bugger that was brilliant!" Andy exclaimed, breathlessly, wiping a bit of sweat from his forehead. "Tasted good too!" Jacob chortled softly. Andy got himself dressed again, then told Jacob to switch places with him. Within seconds, Andy was seated, and Jacob was standing before him, with his pants down. Andy busily sucked up and down the entire length of Jacob's hard shaft. As he did, he pushed his right hand through Jacob's legs, and reached for Jacob's butt, which he began kneading. Jacob grinned, and squatted slightly. Andy quickly poked his middle finger between Jacob's cheeks and pressed inward, until his fingertip came into contact with Jacob's anus, which he then began to massage. "Aww Yes!" Jacob exclaimed. Andy continued working on Jacob for another minute or so. He could tell Jacob was getting close. "I'm gonna cum Andy!" Jacob whispered loudly a moment later. As Andy continued working on Jacob, Jacob suddenly tensed up, and with a grunt, and a squeeze of his anal muscle, he squirted a glob of cum into Andy's mouth. "Mmmmmmmm" Jacob moaned softly, as he continued cumming in Andy's mouth, as Andy quickly swallowed each load of his juice, while continuing to suck on him. Jacob's legs began to tremble, and he thought they were going to give out. He knew he wouldn't fall though. There wasn't room enough. Eventually, Jacob's orgasm ended, and Andy licked him clean and dry, before letting his cock slip out of his mouth. "Feeling better now?" Andy asked, looking up at Jacob, grinning. "Most definitely!" Jacob smiled, as he quickly got dressed again. They both quickly peed and washed their hands, then exited the rest room. A woman who was standing waiting gave them a funny look. "He wasn't feeling well, we cleaned up nicely after him though!" Andy explained, as Jacob put on a 'sick' face. "Oh, that's too bad," the woman cooed then. Once they were out of earshot, the two began giggling as they made their way back to their seats. * * * Before Jacob and Andy sat back down, Harry got up and asked me to come help him as he 'wasn't feeling well'. "Must be something they ate!" Andy said, grinning at me, as I set off after Harry for the back of the plane. When Harry and I got to the tail section, there was nobody around, and one of the rest rooms was free. Quickly we stepped inside. Within minutes, we'd both performed the same acts on each other, that Andy and Jacob had on each other, thoroughly enjoying our orgasms, and the flavor of each other's semen. "I've missed being with you!" Harry said, when he had finished sucking me off. "I've missed being with you too Harry," I said, smiling. When we were finished, we too both peed and freshened up, before stepping out of the rest room. Nobody was around as we emerged. As we walked back past the galley, nobody was there either. The beverage cart was standing there unattended. I grabbed and handed Harry two cans of soda, and sent him on his way. Then, boldly, I swiped two mini bottles of Jack Daniels, and stuffed them in my pocket. I'd have left the money for them, but I didn't want to get caught taking them, as the drinking age on the plane was 21. I filled a couple cups with ice and took two cans of coke and went back to my seat then as well. As I made my way back to our seats I saw the steward and stewardess walking back toward the galley down the opposite aisle. 'Good timing' I thought to myself. Andy was happy to see I'd gotten us sodas. He was very surprised and delighted when I quickly split a mini bottle of bourbon between our glasses, before filling them with Coke. "How'd you do that?" he asked. "Don't ask questions. Just enjoy!" I whispered. We sank back into our seats then and sipped our drinks. After a while, I heard some light snoring from Jacob's and Harry's seats. Standing up and peering over at them, I saw that they'd both snuggled up together under a blanket, and were sleeping. "Good idea!" I whispered to myself, and quietly pulled another blanket and pillow from the overhead compartment. When I sat down, I lifted the armrest that was between Andy and I, and Andy snuggled up to me. We spread our blankets over us, and soon we were both sleeping as well. * * * The rest of our flight passed uneventfully, and with Andy clutching my hand tightly, we landed five minutes early at Heathrow. After disembarking, we went to retrieve our luggage. It was all there, and looked to be in good shape. Relatively quickly, we cleared immigration and customs, although for some reason they decided to search my bags carefully. Must've been the long hair and earring I figured. Soon enough they let me proceed. As we emerged into the main terminal, we heard Evan's voice calling our names. Looking to our right, we spied Elizabeth and Evan waiting for us. Both were smiling happily. "Bugger it's great to see you Mates!" Evan cried as we walked up to them. "Hey Evan! It's great to see you too!" I said, giving him a hug. Evan hugged me tightly. "I really missed you all!" Evan said. "We missed you too Evan," Andy said, as I released Evan, and Andy took my place and hugged him. "Mum! You're huge!" Jacob cried, when he got close to his mother. "Well, thank you for pointing that out Jacob!" Elizabeth said, chuckling. "I'm sorry Mum! I just meant that Austin must be getting bigger!" Jacob said, looking apologetically at her. "I know Jacob," Elizabeth said, wrapping her arms around her son. "I'm very glad to have you home! I've missed you very much!" Jacob hugged and kissed his mother, and said, "I missed you too Mum!" When they parted, Jacob bent down and said to his mother's belly "Hello Austin! It's your big brother Jacob. We're home!" Then he rubbed her belly. "Bugger! What was that?" Jacob cried, jerking his hand quickly away from his mother's belly, as Elizabeth cried "OH!" Surprised, Elizabeth said, "Seems he's happy you're home too. He just kicked!" "Wow!" Jacob said, his eyes big with surprise. "He's strong!" "Welcome home Harry!" Elizabeth said, as Harry moved a bit closer to look at her belly. "Come give me a hug!" "Thank you," Harry said, shyly, as being careful of her belly, he stepped over to Elizabeth and gave her a hug. Andy and I traded places with Jacob and Harry, and while they greeted Evan, we each hugged and kissed Elizabeth. "So, are you two really doing OK?" I asked Elizabeth, as I rubbed her belly. "OH!" She gasped, as I felt Austin kick. "Yes, John, we're both doing splendidly. "Wow! He is strong!" I exclaimed, grinning, as he kicked a second time. "He seems a bit more active than usual for this time of the morning," Elizabeth said. "I swear he knows you're back, and is saying Hello!" We all laughed. "Well, let's not stand around here all day," Elizabeth said. "Come. Let's go home, and talk more there!" * * * As we walked out of the terminal, it was grey, damp, and there was a slight drizzle coming down. "Damn!" I said. "What's wrong?" Evan asked. "I already miss the warm weather and sunshine!" I said. "Well, good news! The forecaster says it's going to warm up and get sunny beginning tomorrow!" Evan said. "Cool!" I said, grinning. "Well, I'm glad it waited a day, or I wouldn't have felt like we were home!" Andy said, chuckling. "Oh yes!" I cooed. "We must run home, put on our jumpers and wellies, take a brolly and go for a stroll!" Evan and Elizabeth gave me funny looks, but the boys laughed, and Andy looked at me indignantly. "I think that's exactly what we should do John! Maybe then, you'd come to appreciate our weather more!" Andy said. We all laughed then, while Jacob quickly filled his mother and Evan in on Andy's thoughts about romantic walks in the rain. "Oh, I think that sounds brilliant!" Elizabeth said, smiling, and looking at me. "Your father and I used to take walks together in the rain!" "He must've been head over heels for you by then!" I said. "He never liked rainy weather any better than I do!" "Hmm... So will you come for a walk in the rain with me then?" Andy asked, batting his eyelashes at me, while everyone roared with laughter. I couldn't help myself. Andy looked so funny, and so cute. I too started to laugh. Finally, when I'd stopped laughing, I said, "Alright! We'll take a walk later - whether it's raining or not! OK?" "Excellent!" Andy cried, beaming at me. * * * When we got to the cars, we split up. The boys rode with their luggage in Elizabeth's car, and Andy and I rode with Evan. "Should we go straight back to the house, or follow Elizabeth to Harry's?" Evan asked, as we pulled out of the airport. "Let's go to Harry's and make sure he gets in OK," I said. "OK," Evan said. "Man it seems weird to be on the wrong side of the road again!" I said. Evan chuckled and said, "Remind me not to ride with you for a while!" "Asshole," I muttered under my breath, as Evan and Andy chuckled. "How's your father Evan?" Andy asked. Evan said that Arthur was doing fine. He was still living over the Bell & Crown and was cleaning it each morning. He'd also begun helping out in the kitchen on occasion. Apparently he was a pretty good cook! "Doughed Bangers!" Andy suddenly exclaimed. "I've missed them so!" Evan and I laughed. "We'll get some real soon," I said. "I have missed our trips to the Bell & Crown myself!" "Your fans have missed you too!" Evan said. "Well, maybe we'll wander over there later for a pint, and surprise them," I said. "Besides, I've certainly missed the ale here! American beer just doesn't cut it anymore for me!" "And some doughed bangers!" Andy added. "Of course!" I said, grinning, as Andy sat smiling happily at the thought. Shortly, we pulled into the driveway at Harry's house. We all got out of the cars and walked Harry to the door. Mr. Phillips wasn't home. He was at work. Harry's mother, and Laney were home though. Mrs. Phillips was very happy to see Harry, and in an uncharacteristically non-British way, threw her arms around him and gave him a hug and kiss. Laney greeted all of us with hugs and kisses as well. We talked for a few minutes, then, before we said good-bye and went on our way, Harry pulled me aside. "Thank you so much for taking me to America with you!" he said looking up at me, smiling. "It was my pleasure Harry. As far as I'm concerned, you're just another little brother to me, so I wouldn't go anywhere without you!" I said, wrapping my arms around him, giving him a hug. "I love you," he whispered quietly, so nobody else would hear. "I love you too," I whispered back, then I gave him a quick kiss on the top of his head, before we broke our hug. "Thank you so much for everything you've done for Harry, John! Harrison and I can't express how much we appreciate it!" Mrs. Phillips said, smiling. "Thanks Mrs. Phillips. Harry's a wonderful young man. I love him like he was my own little brother, and our trip wouldn't have been half as good without him being along with us!" I said, grinning. "Well, we're very happy that he has you and your family in his life," Mrs. Phillips said. We left then, with Harry and Jacob promising to call each other later. * * * When we got home, and walked in the back door, Jack went Crazy. He wouldn't stop barking, yelping, and jumping all over us. I'd never seen him so excited. Of course this was the longest I'd ever been away from him too. He zoomed in circles from the kitchen, into the dining room, then into the hallway, and back into the kitchen. Then he jumped all over us again. Suddenly, he ran for the back door, and stood yelping. I opened the door and he ran into the yard, peed on his favorite bush, then raced back in and leaped up at me again. "By the way, did I tell you that Jack missed you?" Elizabeth asked, dryly. We all broke up laughing then. Jack followed the three of us around wherever we went for the rest of the day, making sure that he was always with at least one of us, as long as one of us was at home. I think he was afraid we might leave again. * * * Evan said he had to run. He apologized for just dropping us off, and said he wished he could stay to hear all about our trip, but he had to get to work. He had been reassigned to the opening shift at the cinema. We told him maybe we'd see him later at the Bell & Crown. He said that sounded good, and he'd join us if he could. He left then. We took our luggage upstairs, and quickly unpacked. Most of our clothes went into the laundry. A few items we put away. "Where am I going to keep all my snow globes?" Andy asked, as smiling he unpacked them all, and examined them to see that they were alright. "I don't know," I said, looking around our room. "Not enough room in here really." "I know. Can I put them in your den, on the bookshelves in front of the books? The shelves are very wide, and should hold them." Andy said. "Sounds good to me," I said. Together we went into the den and set them all up on the bookshelves. They fit fine. "That's perfect!" Andy said, stepping back to admire them. "Yup!" I said. I glanced at my desk then and my eyes got huge when I saw the stack of mail I had waiting for me. "Damn!" I said. "Forgot there'd be so much mail!" Andy chuckled and said, "Hopefully most of it can go in the dust bin!" "Yeah," I said, dubiously. "Well, it can wait a few more hours. I'll look at it later." When we were all finished unpacking, we each picked up our piles of laundry and took them to the basement. I threw a load into the washer, before we went back upstairs. * * * "We're gonna be doing laundry all day," I said, ruefully, as we emerged from the basement, into the kitchen. "Well, I guess that should've been expected!" Elizabeth said. "True!" I said, opening the refrigerator. "How're we doing for groceries?" "We might need a few things," Elizabeth said, from the table where she was sitting eating a banana, and having a glass of cranberry juice. I started rooting around in the refrigerator then. "Yup. I'll have to run to the PX!" I said. "Maybe tomorrow. If we need anything today, I'll run down to Fletcher's." "FLETCHER'S" Andy cried then. "I forgot all about them. I have to speak with them, and see if they still want me to come back to work!" "Well, why don't I make a shopping list, and you and I can put on our jumpers and wellies and wander down there. You can get your hours straightened out, and I can pick up the things we need, and we'll get our romantic walk in the rain in!" I said. "You just won't let up on that, will you?" Andy said, glaring at me, as Jacob began laughing. "You hungry Jacob?" I asked, as I noticed him getting out a box of crackers and a jar of his favorite spread, Marmite. "A bit. Mostly though, I've just missed my Marmite on biscuits!" he said. "Do you want me to get out your Sunpat and seedless jam too?" I smiled and said, "Sure. I guess I could use a snack too." We all sat down then and while Jacob and Andy had Marmite and crackers, I had peanut butter and jelly on my crackers. "Best put a jar of Marmite on the list, this one's almost empty," Andy said. "I better get a pad and pen," I said, starting to get up. "John! There's a Biro and some paper there, under the 'Mirror', next to you," Elizabeth said. "Thanks!" I said, settling back down. I lifted the newspaper, and picked up the pen and pad of paper. As we snacked, everyone thought of things we needed. I made two lists. One for things I would pick up at Fletcher's, that we needed right away, and the other for things I would pick up at the PX. * * * After a while, I ran downstairs and moved the laundry in the washer to the dryer, and started the next load of wash. "How about that walk in the rain, now?" I asked Andy, when I had returned to the kitchen. Andy smiled and said, "Certainly." We went upstairs, and Andy pulled on a sweater, while I chose a sweatshirt. "I'll pass on the wellies," I said. "I will too. Trainers will do. It's not raining that much," Andy said. We took a large golf-size umbrella, and set off for Fletchers then, with Jack on a leash. Halfway down Beaumont Crescent, Andy said, "See? Isn't this rather pleasant?" I looked around at the mist in the air, and the low-hanging dark clouds. It was pretty dismal, and really damp feeling. "Sure. Whatever you say Andy!" I said, smiling at him. "Be that way!" Andy said, huffily. "Hey! I don't need mist and dampness to feel romantic about you. All I need is you!" I said. "Oh John! That's so nice! Thank you!" Andy said, stopping and looking at me, and smiling again. I smiled at Andy, and put my arm around him and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. "C'mon, let's get to Fletcher's," Andy said afterward. "I give up. It's bloody fucking cold!" I roared laughing then. "OK, so you were right! But remember the second part of what I said," Andy said. "The part about snuggling by the fire afterward!" "OK, that does sounds good!" I agreed. "However, we'll have to stick to just snuggling, at least until Elizabeth goes to work!" "Well, that's OK. Maybe we should just sit by the fire, and you can work on your mail, and I can finish reading my book." Andy said. I looked at him a moment, then said, "Are you feeling well?" "Well, yes," Andy said, looking at me curiously. "Why do you ask?" "It's OK with you if we DON'T snuggle???" I asked, incredulously. Andy chuckled and said, "Well, I'd prefer to snuggle, and then some, but... if Elizabeth's around, we'll just have to wait till later for that!" I laughed then and said, "OK then." * * * Our progress to Fletcher's was slow, as Jack needed to stop and lift his leg on every tree we walked past. "Jeez Jack!" I said, finally. "How much piss do you have in you?" Andy giggled, as we waited, while Jack squeezed a few drops of pee onto the tree root we'd stopped at. Finally, we got to Fletcher's. I tied Jack to the bicycle rack in front of the store, which was under an awning, and in front of the big windows, then Andy and I went inside. I called hello to the Fletchers, and started shopping, while Andy went to talk with them. The Fletchers were overjoyed to see Andy, and both ran to greet him. "It's so good to see you Laddie," Mrs. Fletcher cried, giving Andy a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Did you have a good trip?" Mr. Fletcher asked. "Yes, I did, but it's nice to be home, and to see you both," Andy said. "Will you be comin' back to work for us?" Mrs. Fletcher asked. "If you still want me to," Andy said. "Aye, we most certainly do!" said Mr. Fletcher. "The boy we hired to work in your place while you were gone just didn't work out!" "We've been doing all the work ourselves!" Mrs. Fletcher said. "It's too much for us!" "Well, I'd be happy to come back to work," Andy said. The Fletchers both beamed. "When can you start?" Mr. Fletcher asked. Andy looked across the shop at me. I shrugged. "Tomorrow?" Andy asked. "Excellent!" Mr. Fletcher said. While I finished shopping, Andy and the Fletchers figured out a work schedule for Andy. I paid for our groceries then, and we left, each carrying a bag. I retrieved Jack from the bike rack, and we headed back to Beaumont Crescent. "I got a raise!" Andy chortled, as soon as we were away from the store. "They were so happy to have me back they're going to pay me another quid per hour!" "Cool!" I said, grinning. "That's wonderful!" Andy chattered away, as we progressed up the hill toward home, stopping again at every tree, so Jack could once again, claim it as his, by lifting his leg to it. * * * By the time we got home, the mist had given way to actual drizzle, and both of us were shivering. Jack however wasn't bothered by the dampness, he just shook himself several times in the kitchen, while we put the groceries away. Then, when we walked into the living room, he went and laid on the carpet in front of the fireplace, hoping someone would light a fire. "I guess Jack likes your idea of a fire too!" I said to Andy, as I walked over the fireplace. Andy grinned, as I threw some paper, twigs, and a couple logs into the firebox and put a match to the paper. Shortly, there was a cheerful fire blazing in the fireplace. Jack stretched out luxuriously in front of it. "I'm going to get my book," Andy said, heading for the stairs. Chuckling, I went out to the kitchen, and put a couple packets of hot chocolate mix in some mugs, filled them with hot water, then heated them for a couple minutes in the microwave. "So, what are your plans for the summer?" Elizabeth asked, as she walked out into the kitchen. I smiled and said quietly, "Do you think you could spare Andy and I for a couple more weeks?" "You're leaving again?" she asked, sounding a bit alarmed. "Not if you'd prefer we stay," I said. "No, it's alright. But, what did you have in mind, and when?" she asked. "Well, I was thinking about taking Andy on a trip for his birthday present," I said. "But we can delay it if you want." "No! I think it's a wonderful idea. Andy will love it. But, I'd prefer if you went soon, so that you were back before August! Who knows what will happen with the baby," Elizabeth said. "OK, then. That's what we'll do, but only if it's really alright with you!" I said. "By the way, don't tell anyone. It's a secret! OK?" Elizabeth smiled and said she'd keep it to herself. She asked where we were going, and I told her I wasn't sure yet. We talked a bit longer, and I asked if it was alright to have a party for Andy on his birthday. she told me she had fully expected we'd be throwing a bash, and asked what she could do to help. "Not a thing! I'll handle it all. Just come and enjoy it! By the way - it's going to be a surprise party!" I said. "Brilliant!" she said, smiling. Since Andy was off in the living room, I quickly called Fletchers on the phone and asked if they would schedule Andy to work on Sunday until 3:00. I explained about the party, and said it would be a great way to keep Andy away from the house, while I set things up. Of course I invited them to come to the party as well. They were thrilled to be included, and said they'd love to help out, keeping him busy for us. I called Laney then, and told her about the party. She said she could make it, and so could Harry. Then she asked if she could help. I asked her to call our friends and invite them for me, as I couldn't get to use the phone much with Andy around. She said she'd take care of it. I told her to ask everyone to be at the house by 2:30, and to remember it was a surprise. After I hung up, Elizabeth said, "You'd best get that hot chocolate in there to him, before he comes out here and catches you making plans. Finish things up tomorrow while he's at work!" "Good idea," I said, grinning. I headed to the living room then with Andy's and my hot chocolate. * * * Andy was settled on the loveseat by the fire, his feet, clad in his huge, plush moose slippers with the antlers on them, reading already, when I brought the hot chocolate in. "Oh yum!" Andy exclaimed, reaching eagerly for his cup of cocoa. "Watch out! It's hot!" I warned. "I'll wait a moment then," Andy said. "Sit!" "In a minute. I'm going to flip the laundry and grab that pile of mail to sort," I said. "OK," Andy said, returning to his book, as I wandered back out to the kitchen again. * * * A few minutes later I returned and sat down next to Andy with my stack of mail and began opening it. I was happy to find that most of it was junk mail, and not bills. A short time later, I heard the buzzer on the dryer, and went downstairs to work on the laundry. I folded what was dry, moved the wet laundry to the dryer, and threw the last load of dirty clothes in the washer. Then I went back upstairs. Andy still had his nose buried in his book. I threw all my junk mail and another log on the fire, and set the small pile of bills and other mail aside to work on later on. Then I picked up the newspaper and started reading it. A few minutes later, Andy closed his book. "That book was brilliant!" he said, smiling. "Great!" I said. Jacob bounded down the stairs then, "Are we going to eat soon?" he asked. "Hungry Bub?" I asked. "Yup!" he said, grinning. "OK, let us repair to the kitchen and I'll rustle up some grub!" I said. "Is your Mum sleeping now?" "Yup, and she said not to wake her," Jacob said. "OK," I said, as Andy and I got up and followed Jacob to the kitchen. Jack quickly jumped up and followed us. * * * I made fish and chips for our lunch, which we had with bottles of ale. Afterward, we quickly picked up the dishes and started the dishwasher. "I think it's time we can safely call Grandma and the boys and let them know we got home OK," I said, looking at the clock. It was 1:00, so it would be 8:00 AM in the US. I dialed, using the speaker phone in the kitchen, and we all spoke for a few minutes with Grandma and the twins. They were happy we got home OK, but were sad we weren't together. The twins said it was hot and sunny, and they wished we were there to go to the beach with them. "Well, it's beautifully gloomy and drizzly over here, and Andy and I took a walk in the rain earlier!" I said, chuckling. "Eww!" the twins both chorused. "Well, as Elizabeth says, 'This is England you know'!" I replied. We all laughed. We talked a few minutes longer, then hung up. * * * The guys helped me finish up the laundry then, and we brought it all upstairs and put it away, leaving Elizabeth's in the basket on the bench in the hall. "I talked to Harry earlier, and he wanted me to come over to his house," Jacob said, walking back into our room. "Can I go?" "Sure," I said. "I suppose you need a ride?" "Well, yes," Jacob said, smiling. "OK. We were thinking of heading down to the Bell & Crown anyway. We'll drop you on the way," I said. "Excellent!" Jacob said. He called Harry and reported he'd be there in a while. Then I called Evan and left a message for him that we were going to the pub, and he should meet us there if he could. We left a note for Elizabeth telling her where we were, then we took off... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next chapter in this series will be published shortly.
