The story was called simply "Search". I always liked this story because of the family history. So I always wanted to make it better. I hope you all enjoy this attempt at a rewrite. * *As always, please don't forget to support Nifty.org. It costs a lot to maintain this library. * *Searching for my Identity, Part one * My mother, Sarah Evans, was always a bit over the top. From as early as I could remember she over preached the bible and over judged all of those around her. As a result she was always on my ass to be the perfect child. By the time I was in high school I sort of had given up on trying to please her. I was tired of her preaching and I was definitely tired of her telling me that every wrong thing that a man would do would surely bring him a step closer to the devil's door. Now the biggest problem with that was that there seemed to be a lot of sins but not enough forgiveness. The poor woman never did read the part of the Bible that preached tolerance and forgiveness. And while mother tried her best to make me a good Midwestern Bible thumping Christian she actually completely turned me off to it. Then there was the few times I asked about my father. Those questions would throw her into a preaching rage. She would tell me to try to forget that I might even have a father because he is a true man of evil. His mind is ruled by the drink and his hands are ruled by the devil. As far as she was concerned he could have been the son of Satan himself. I never learned more of the man than that. He was a faint memory from my childhood that my mother tried her hardest to erase. My name is Scott Evans. I am the son of Sarah Evans and another person unknown. I tried to ease the negativity at home by throwing myself into all the school activities I could. I played baseball, I wrestled and I was the school student body president as well as being on the honor roll. I also worked out whenever I had idle time. The more I had to do at school the less I had to deal with "Ms. Moral Roberts" herself. I turned eighteen in November and I had earned enough credits to actually graduate by Christmas of my senior year. Due to my grade point average and my ability in sport I had numerous opportunities for scholarships. But none of them really added up to being enough to totally free myself from the prison I was in. My mother's home in Huntsville, Texas was my prison and my mother was the warden. I was weighing my options and trying to figure out how I could go to college and afford it without any help from the warden. By January acceptance letters to the University's I had applied to had started to come in along with some of those scholarships I talked about. But one letter arrived by certified mail. The letter was from one of those money management firms. Thankfully my mother was at work when it arrived otherwise I question if she would have tried to intercept it or not. I opened it and it read as follows: Dear Mr. Scott Evans, Congratulations on your recent graduation from High School. We instructed your High School to inform us with a copy of your diploma as soon as you earned it. The reason for this is as follows. Your maternal Grandmother on your father's side, Rose Gentry, set up a fund for you when you were born. Mrs. Gentry passed away three years ago but left instructions with us that you would receive the entire fund when you graduated from High School to give you the opportunity to decide what you would like to do with the rest of your life. Sarah Evans does not know that the fund exists and Mrs. Gentry never intended for her to know. Please come to our office, 7706 Main, and we will go over the details with you and help you make arrangements to transfer the funds. No appointment is necessary. Sincerely, Mr. Max Shaw, Hill & Hill Associates It was 2:30 on a Thursday afternoon. I decided to not waste anytime and catch the bus downtown. (I wasn't allowed to own a car yet as my mother thought that it would lead me to sin.) I had just ridden my bike back from the gym. All I had on was a tank top and gym shorts and trainers. So I went to my room and found a warm up jacket to through on and ran to the bus stop. I caught the 2:55 to downtown and was in front of the offices of Hill and Hill by 3:30. I went into the front doors and was greeted by the receptionist, "May I help you?" "I am here to see Mr. Max Shaw." I responded. "I see, would you have an appointment with Mr. Shaw young man?" she inquired quite suspiciously. Maybe it was because I was still in gym cloths? Or maybe my age? "No, I was told I would not need one, I received this letter from him today and thought I should come down as soon as possible." I said as I handed her the letter. She read for a moment and got up quickly. "Please sit down Mr. Evans. Mr. Shaw will want to see you immediately." Her attitude certainly changed quickly. I waited only a few minutes before the receptionist was followed by a tall, dark good looking man. I was taken by his square jaw and his dark eyes. His body was filled out with strength under his dark blue suit. "Scott, I'm Max Shaw, I have been looking forward to meeting you" He introduced himself as he extended his hand. My hand met his and his firm handshake sent shivers up my spine. I was immediately, for some reason, stirred by this man. I never had an attraction to a man before this but I could not help myself. "If you follow me Scott we can talk in my office," I followed him. As I followed Mr. Shaw into his office I was watching his body move under his sports coat and slacks. He moved like a man of sport. He had a goatee which I took as a rebellious addition against allowing himself to be completely corporate. He offered me a visitors chair across from his desk. "Scott, we might as well get right to it. May I see a form of identification, a driver's license maybe and a social security card, so I can first be sure you are whom you say you are?" Mr. Shaw asked. "Sure you can, I guess, here", I handed him my driver's license and SS card. I have a driver's license but I rarely am able to use it. I may only drive when my mother is in the car with me. "Thank you Scott. This checks out well. I'll need to make a copy of these for the file before you leave. Now, what I am to divulge to you today may come as a shock and you will probably need some guidance. I am here for you for now. Once you have absorbed the facts of your new life you will be on your own to make the decisions best for you. Since you were born in November and you have already had your 18th birthday and you have met the stipulation of your grandmother by graduating from high school this will all be very legal and final. Now I first will read the letter your grandmother wrote to you. I have not opened this yet as it was requested that it only be open and read in front of you upon your graduation from high school. So then, are you comfortable? Need anything before we begin?" "I don't believe so sir. I am quite curious as to what this is all about." I replied. "I can understand that Scott. First the letter (Max pulled out a thick file from his desk drawer and retrieved a legal size envelope from it. He opened the envelope and retrieved the letter inside. Once he unfolded the letter he began): Dearest Scott, I am sure you never heard of me since your mother cut all ties (except financial of course) with my family soon after you were born. I am, or was, your grandmother, Rose Gentry. You have never met me or seen me but I have seen you. I have pictures taken of you without your mother's knowledge and have had private investigators throughout the years keeping track of your growth and whereabouts. Where you were living was easy since your father still paid you mother child support all these years. Your mother was receiving $2500 a month from him and will continue to receive that until you graduate from high school. Since this letter is being read to you it is now assumed that that day has come and you are a young man now. Congratulations. The decision your mother made to cut the ties to my family are for reasons that I do not understand and never will. Those reasons are for your mother to tell you... not for me. I have prepared this letter and the rest to first of all let you know that you were always loved by others, not only your mother. Your father has kept up with your progress as well but has abided by you mother's wishes and stayed away. Your father is very different from your mother. He was always rebellious and has a certain edge to him. Although our family has always had money your father was less interested in the finer things that life had to offer and makes his way as a mechanic, owner of his own garage in Palm Springs. He is a good man, but like I said, he has a bit of an edge to him. Your parents met in high school; each being of a different class in social standings. Your mother came from a blue collar family barely making ends meet. As I am sure you know the bible rules your mother's family although I am convinced that no one in that family ever read the book. Well, anyway, your father and mother began seeing each other when they were just sixteen. Your father had the bad boy image. Played football on the high school football team and ran around with the team members. Although your parents were never really in love they did have a night of passion that produced you. You were born when your parents were just seventeen. Unfortunately your mother's parents did not take it so well and they threw her out. She never had the chance to finish high school nor did she ever see her parents again. As soon as you were born we made arrangements for a place for your mother and you to live as well as set up child support payments. Your father never let go of his responsibility to you. The house you have lived in all these years actually was owned by me. As of now it belongs to you. You may do as you see fit. You may let your mother live out her days in it or you may sell it. You own it. Your father finished college and then moved to Palm Springs. He will receive the bulk of my estate when I die and you will receive the trust fund that I set up for you when you were born. The money manager assigned to the account will explain all that to you my dear. But this letter is just my way of letting you know where you came from and that you were loved more than you could have ever imagined. I wish life was different and we could have enjoyed all the years of your childhood together. Unfortunately we can only try to make up for the wrongs that have been dealt us. Have a good life my dear grandson, you were and always will be loved, Your grandmother, Rose Gentry. I couldn't breathe. My mother would never tell me anything. I always asked where my grandparents were. Where my father was but I was always met by silence or a sermon. Now to find out that I have more of a family than I could have ever wished for was amazing. I let it sink in a moment then looked up at Mr. Shaw. He was staring at me in shock himself. He obviously didn't know the background on the family and seemed just as surprised as I was. We remained like that for a few more minutes then he cleared his throat. "Scott, I am sorry. I didn't realize what we would be getting into here. Are you ready to go on?" he finally said. "Yeah, I guess we might as well keep going. Nothing could shock me more than that letter. Will I receive a copy of it by the way?" I replied. "Yes Scott. You will receive the actual letter as well as the contents of this file after we are done. So let's proceed then. These are the conditions of the trust and I will highlight the main objectives instead of reading all the legal writings: 1. Upon Scott's graduation from high school he will receive the trust set up by Rose Gentry as well as the Plaza apartment in Houston and the deed to his childhood home. 2. None of the trust is to be shared with Scott's mother, Sarah Evans. Scott may gift her no more than $10,000 a year for the first five years. After that Scott is no longer under any obligation to this trust stipulation. He may also sign his childhood home over to his mother or keep it in his name and let her live in it or sell it. 3. Scott is encouraged to seek out his father but is to know that Scott's father, James Gentry, has no knowledge of the trust and only knows that his child support payments end at the time Scott graduates from high school. 4. Scott is encouraged to continue his education and to receive a degree of some sort. After the disclosure of the trust Scott should feel secure in the knowledge that he will be financially independent for the rest of his life and should have no problem attending a university of his choosing. "Okay Scott, that's basically the jest of it. Any questions so far?" Mr. Shaw finished. His forehead beading with sweat. "Well, I guess I have a million questions, but the one that sticks out right now is that the last entry said I was financially independent. What does that mean?" I inquired. Max Shaw's face at first was thoughtful then it broke into a wide smile. "Well Scott, I guess I did fail to mention that you are a millionaire." "Excuse me Mr. Shaw, but what do you mean a millionaire?" I was getting nervous now. I was sweating like I was in the sauna at the gym. I realized that under the warm up jacket all I had on was a tank top. I must be reeking by now. What would Mr. Shaw think? "The balance of the trust that your grandmother set up for you (Max shuffled some papers to find the print out that he wanted) is, as of this morning, seventy six million, seven hundred eighty three thousand two hundred and twelve dollars and forty seven cents." I froze. I never dreamed or knew of such money. I couldn't move, breathe or hear. I sat there petrified to move. After a few minutes I heard Mr. Shaw saying something.... "Scott, Scott... are you okay? Scott? Talk to me Scott. I can't lose the biggest client I got buddy...talk to me!" "I... I'm sorry Mrrr...Shaw. But...did you say? I'm not sure I understand.... Seventy million dollars?" I was in shock, big time shock. "No bud, I said just over seventy six million dollars. You are a very wealthy young man. Your father is quite a bit wealthier from what I understand, but you wouldn't be able to tell by the way he lives. Anyway I was prepared for you to be shocked and overwhelmed. My instructions are for me to take you to the Houston apartment as soon as possible and to let you rest. I am to see to all your needs until you have had a chance to absorb it all. I work for you Scott. And I am paid well. I hope that continues but if not I understand. As soon as your trust is turned over to you I am dedicated only to your account until you decide to terminate your association with Hall & Hall. I was chosen because I am not married and can travel. Do you have any problems with that?" "Well, no, I guess not. I mean...you work for me? How is that possible?" "Oh it's very possible Scott. At the moment, while I work for you through Hall & Hall, I make a good living. I make eighty thousand a year plus bonuses. I will be paid by Hall & Hall as long as you pay them. I am to manage your portfolio as long as you retain Hall & Hall. I am your new best friend Scott and will do anything I can to keep your relationship with Hall & Hall active. Now I must ask you. The Houston apartment has 12 bedrooms. I thought I could stay with you until you were comfortable with your new life if that is alright with you. If it is we can leave tomorrow morning. We will be taking your limo. I will call the driver right after our meeting to come up to Huntsville and pick us up. Is that satisfactory to you Scott?" Mr. Shaw said. "Where did all this money come from Mr. Shaw?" I had to inquire. "Well oil of course Scott. Your great grandfather was one of the pioneers of the Houston oil market. He was quite the business man. Made lots and lots of money with other people's oil." Mr. Shaw explained. "Well thank you Mr. Shaw. I guess I will be ready to leave tomorrow. What do I tell my mother? I was ready to leave anyway. I couldn't stand being in that house anymore but I didn't know what I was going to do. What will I say?" "Well Scott, just reading what I did in that letter life must have been really restrictive to you. I can have a ten thousand dollar cashier's check made to your mother for the first year's gift and you can hand that to her as you leave the house. Don't tell her anymore than that and that you will call when you're settled. You are eighteen now and rich. She has no holds on you any longer. And by the way Scott, call me Max. I work for you. And may I still call you Scott?" For the first time since I have been in that office I smiled. A huge weight was lifted off my shoulder. I looked at Mr. Shaw, er...Max and said, "You may call me Scott always Max. And as for my mother I will do just that. When the limo pulls up to our house I will hand her a check on my way out of her life. I will call now and then as I do care for the women but I can not bare any more sermons. And also, go ahead and put the deed to the house in her name. There is nothing about that house that I could possibly want. As far as Houston goes, yes, please stay at the apartment. Until we figure out something else anyway. You did say you are free to travel Max?" "I am under your charge Scott. Where ever you go and allow me to follow." "Then we will see how we like Houston and we will go from there. What time do you think we will leave tomorrow Max?" "I think around noon, is that okay?" "Yeah, but do me a favor dude. No more suits. Wear whatever you wear on weekends around the house or whatever. I never really liked suits." "You got it Scott. I may be a good money manager but I never fit in the corporate mold. I actually feel blessed getting this job. Thanks for allowing me to stay on Scott." "Nothing to thank me for Max... thank you! And as for the blessed thing....let's call it luck. I've had enough with the blessings in my Mother's life to last me a life time." "You got it Scott; one more thing. Here is a Debit card from a checking account I set up for you when I sent that letter. It has twenty five thousand dollars in it. Just in case you need it. The debit card is active and the account is in your name only. The pin number is ####. I will have you sign signature cards at the bank in Houston after we arrive." "Wow, okay.. .so Max, since we will be spending so much time together...how old are you?" Max chuckled a bit and said, "I am twenty six. You are my first big account. I can't blow this or I will be at the bottom of the bottom of all the money managing firms. So I meant it when I said I will do whatever it takes to remain employed by you. And so that we are always on the up and up I suggest you retain a lawyer. I want you to always feel comfortable that I am doing what is best with your money. I have a few firms in Houston that I might suggest if you want." "Well I am sure you know more than I do about stuff like that. We'll talk about it in Houston. I guess I'll go catch the bus." "Wait Scott, you took a bus down here? That must have been a thirty minute trip. You don't have a car?" "My mother thought that by my owning a vehicle that I would be lead to sin. So I take the bus." "I will drive you home. This is getting more and more... ridiculous... anyway, let's go. When we get to Houston we will go car shopping." "Thanks Max," Scott had that feeling again. He was attracted to Max. He didn't know what it was, but he was. The next morning I woke up in my bed in my mother's house in Huntsville, Texas. It took me a few moments to focus and then to realize what had transpired the day before. It felt like a dream. I lay there a few minutes with one arm over my head. I caught a whiff of myself. I never showered after the gym yesterday. I realized then I was hard. A vision of Max came into my mind. What was it about him? He was a good looking man and masculine as all get out. But why was I attracted to him; the way he moved and carried himself. It was all attractive. I didn't understand it but I did realize that I was getting turned on. Between the scent of my pit and the vision of Max I needed some relief fast. I closed my eyes and grabbed my cock with my right hand while I enjoyed the aroma of my left pit. I thought of Max. Slowly taking off each piece of that suit he wore yesterday, smelling him, licking him. I licked my pit then. Wishing it was him. I jacked quicker now...needing the relief. I came suddenly. It seemed to last forever but I knew it had only been a few seconds. I looked down at the mess I had made on my stomach and scooped it up with my fingers and put it to my mouth. I loved the taste of my own cum, always have, and I wondered if Max's tasted the same. Funny, all the time I have been eating my own cum I had never thought of eating another dude's. After I calmed down I started to panic. What if what happened yesterday was a dream. There was no money, no Max, no apartment in Houston to go to. I jumped out of bed naked and retrieved my pants off the chair I had put them on last night. I checked the pocket and there it was. The ten thousand dollar check made out to my mom. It was true. All true! I looked at the clock. 10:30 am. Late for me but I stayed up last night tossing and turning. Not believing how my life was changing. Thinking about what to wear I grabbed some loose shorts that were well worn and road low on my bubble butt and a tee without sleeves, my usual wear around the house. It was cool out but I didn't like cloths all that much and I only wore what I could get away with around mom. I own plenty of underwear but hardly ever wear it. I put on a pair of flip flops and went to the kitchen. I grabbed a glass of orange juice and sat at the table. What do I want to bring with me was all that was on my mind? Nothing! I really wanted nothing that was here. I would leave here with what I had on and my identification and debit card. That's all I needed. It was then I saw a note from mom on the refrigerator: Scott, Went to Walmart and then the market. I won't be back until about 2 o'clock. Fix yourself something for lunch. Mom Well this is getting easier all the time. I'll be half way to Houston before she gets back. I won't have to go through a scene. I wrote her a quick note myself: Mom I received my inheritance from Grandma Gentry yesterday. I am leaving to live in my apartment in Houston. Sorry I missed you. I will call when I get settled. Don't worry about me. I am fine. Here is a gift for you. Scott. That should do it. Now what? It's only 11 o'clock. I kicked off my flips and dropped my shorts and tee and went and took a quick shower. My hair is buzzed off so all I need really is a rinse. I then put back on my favorite shorts and tee. I then went into my room and made sure that there was nothing personal I wanted my mother getting into and discarded what I found. I didn't have a computer at home as she felt it would have lead me to sin as well. Finally it was five minutes till noon. I went to the front door and locked it and pulled it shut behind me. I didn't take my keys; didn't want them. I sat on the porch and waited. Not two minutes later did a black Cadillac limo pull up and Max jumped out of the back. He had on a tight pull over and almost as tight tan shorts that were well worn. And believe it or not he had on flip flops. I gave him the once over. Nice arms with a tattoo of a dragon on his left bicep. Hair from his chest poked out of the shirt. His ass was huge, in a good muscular way, and I could see a very impressive package from the front. For as straight as I thought I was I was definitely into this dude. "No bags Scott?" Max yelled from curb. "I really didn't want anything I had." I replied. "You're the boss Scott. You can get anything you want anytime you want. I understand." Max said as he lead the way into the back of the Caddie. "The driver's name is Pedro. Pedro this is your new boss, Scott Evans." Max made the introductions and I looked up to see a very good looking Hispanic man with a buzzed head and dark eyes. He must have been around Max's age. He wore a tank top from what I could see. He had a tattoo on his right arm that I couldn't make out. "I told Pedro it was okay to dress casually. Since your grandmother died no one on the staff saw a point to their uniforms any longer. You don't mind do you?" Max explained once we were settled in the car. "Heck no Max. If he was in uniform I would have felt uncomfortable. In fact I feel pretty uncomfortable in this Caddie. I suppose it was Grandmother's as well?" I asked. "Yeah, it does tend to make you feel old doesn't it. It is a couple years old. You can decide what to do with it when we get to Houston. Pedro has been the driver for about five years. He was a landscaper before. You also have a maid and a cook. The maid is older and ready for retirement. Her name is Susan. The cook is younger, in his thirties I think, and has been on staff for about as long as Pedro. His name is Rick. He's pretty down to earth. Susan is a bit uptight but like I said she is ready to retire. She lives in her own house on the outskirts of Houston and Rick has an apartment not far from yours. Pedro here is the only staff member that actually lives at the apartment. That was so he could be on call whenever Mrs. Gentry needed him, which actually wasn't that often." We talked casually for a while as we made our way south. I then felt myself falling asleep as I usually did on long trips in a car. The next thing I knew was being softly touched awake. Max was letting me know we arrived. I looked out the window and saw we were in downtown Houston. We were in front of a very impressive building with a red carpet and a red canopy at the front door. A doorman stood at the ready. "Good Day Mr. Shaw. How are you today?" "I am good George. I would like you to meet the new owner of Mrs. Gentry's apartment. This is Mr. Evans. Mrs. Gentry's grandson. Scott this is George. George is the full time doorman here. He is in charge of the others so if you ever have any problems let George know right away." Max introduced us. "Very good to meet you Mr. Evans, your grandmother was a kind woman and is very well missed in the building. I hope you enjoy your stay here and will make it your home for a very long time." George was older but had the kindest face and smile I ever did see. "Thank you George. And please call me Scott. I will never enjoy being too formal especially around people I will see daily." I said. "Er...very well...um Scott. I am honored. Let me ring the elevator for you. Any luggage?" George asked as he led the way into the lobby. "I am afraid I am the only one that brought a suit case. Scott didn't seem to have anything he wanted to bring. It seems we will be busy shopping tomorrow George. Can you arrange with Pedro to have the car ready by about 10 in the morning? We will rest today." Max asked. "Very good Mr. Shaw; Scott. Have a good night." George said as the elevator doors closed on Max and I. We traveled to the top floor of a 32 story building. The elevator opened to a small lobby of marble, granite and velvet furnishings. No windows; a very large chandelier that seemed to large for the room. On the other side of the lobby were very large double doors. On the name plate next to them was the one word; Gentry. Max opened the door and let me walk in first. I was taken by the lush furnishings and the brightness of the rooms. It all looked like a perfect picture in one of those house beautiful magazines that mother used to buy. It was too pretty; the type of place where you were afraid to touch anything. As we made our way from the foyer to the living room, the dining room, the study and the media room I was taking it all in and becoming more and more uncomfortable. We headed down a hallway that had about a half of a dozen doors. "This is the guest corridor Scott. These rooms are only used when entertaining and having people stay over." Max said as he opened each bedroom to let me see in. There was three bathrooms on this corridor connecting to two bedrooms each. I wouldn't know who I could use these rooms for. We left that corridor and headed for another one of the same as the last one. This one only had four doors with the same set up as the others; two bathrooms connecting to two rooms each. We then headed to the final corridor. This one had four doors as well; three of the doors on the sides of the corridor and one double door at the end. "This first room is Pedro's room. He has his own bath. This next room is a fitness room with sauna that was never used by Mrs. Gentry. It is lacking equipment but is ready to be made into a nice home gym. Next we have Mrs. Gentry's office. It also has its own bathroom, small one. And then this is the master suite." Max opened the double doors and inside was a huge room, about the size of my mother's house, in pastels and plush carpeting. The bed was a king size canopy. Off to the side was a ladies make up station....whatever they are called, and then a series of doors to closets and to the bathroom. It was truly a women's room--an old women's room. I turned to Max and he smiled as if he could read my thoughts. "Don't worry Scott. We can have it all redone however you want it." Max tried to be reassuring. "Max, can I be honest and share something with you?" I asked almost desperately. "Of course Scott...what is it?" Max looked concerned now. "I don't think I will ever be comfortable here. It's all too big and isolated and too pretty. I would rather have less house and more land. Pools and tennis courts. Can we sell this place?" Max's eyebrows rose up in surprise than a smile emerged. "Of course we can Scott. Are you sure that's what you want to do? You haven't spent any time here. You might learn to like it." "I am an outdoors type of guy Max. This is spending your life indoors with the climate controlled at all times. Trust me on this one. I will never be happy living like this. And I have no ties to Houston so there would be no reason for me to visit the city to justify keeping this place. How long did grandmother live here?" I asked. "It was actually your great grandfather's place. She moved in after his death about twenty five years ago. Your father made it clear to his mother years ago that he would never want it and that she should make arrangements to sell it after her death, but she thought she would let you decide if you would like it or not. The apartment hasn't been appraised in years but I am guessing it would add about ten million to your portfolio. So if you're sure I will call the agency in the morning and make arrangements." "I am sure Max. And I am sure of something else too. Tell Pedro to take that Caddie to the Chevrolet dealer and trade it in for a Suburban. I think it will fit all three of us better than that Caddy." I said. "Okay, but we need to also discuss Susan and Rick. Like I said Susan is no big deal, I think she would be happy to retire. Your grandmother set her up very well. Rick on the other hand has only been around for about five years. Nice guy but I don't think he wants to leave Houston. As for Pedro I am assuming we are keeping him?" Max inquired. I thought hard about this. Here I was twenty four hours later from being a poor high school graduate with nothing ahead of him making decisions for people's lives. I hadn't met Susan or Rick yet but I did have an obligation to them. And Pedro, a fine looking Hispanic man, he must drive the women crazy yet I haven't seen him out of the car yet. There I go thinking of men again. What has happened to me? The minute I leave the confines of my mother's house I become this horn dog for men. I realize I never really was into girls all that much but I figured that was because mother drilled into me the sins of the flesh. But now I was feeling attractions towards Max and Pedro. I realized as I was thinking all this my cock was having a mind of its own and getting hard. I then realized that there was no way to hide a hardon in these shorts of mind and snapped back to reality. "You still with me Scott?" Max was smirking. "Ah, yeah Max yea, um what I think we should do is let Susan retire after the apartment sells. Give Rick a healthy severance and ensure that he gets all the references he needs to get a great job. As for Pedro, I wonder how he would feel about leaving Houston?" Max smiled, "Boy for a beginner you certainly are decisive. I am impressed. As far as Pedro goes his parents came here from Puerto Rico. They died about 8 years ago in a terrible accident. I think Pedro had just finished high school. He has no other family here and like I said he has lived here for about five years. He has no attachments that I am aware of. I will ask him. Now, where do you think you would want to go?" "How does Palm Springs sound?" I asked with a grin on my face. "Some how I knew that that's where we were headed; Palm Springs is a beautiful place and it should satisfy the outdoors need you have. At least 9 months of the year. The other three months you might consider someplace cooler to summer in, like San Francisco or San Diego. But we can decide that some other time. If you're sure we can put this place up for sale tomorrow. The deed was transferred to you as soon as we had confirmation on your graduation so there will be no hold ups there. Anything else?" "Yeah, you know a good hotel in town? I don't really want to stay in my grandmother's bed." "Sure do, the Four Season's on Lamar. You sure you don't even want to spend a night here?" Max asked. "Four Seasons sounds great Max. And yea, I'm sure. Would you like to stay here or be my guest at the Four Season's? I am sure I could afford rooms for all of us. I would like Pedro there as soon as possible as well." "Of course Scott; I will be glad to move over there with you. Let me call and make the arrangements. I will get a suite and have a bedroom on each side connected for Pedro and I. Will that be alright?" "You bet Max. Thanks for understanding." "No thanks necessary." with that Max dialed up the Four Seasons and booked the rooms for one week. He then called Pedro and told him of the move. Pedro was up at the apartment in minutes to go to his room to pack an overnight bag. When he came into the apartment I finally got a good look at him. He was about 5'9" and was wearing Dockers shorts and the tank top I saw earlier. He had a nice round bubble butt on him and very nice arms and chest. His tattoo was actually an arm band around his bicep of barb wire. He was a healthy and masculine young man. "Pedro, may I ask you a question?" I inquired. "Yes, of course boss." He seemed shocked that I had to ask first. "I am planning to move to Palm Springs and we are going to sell the apartment as well. I don't want to lose you though. Can you remain on with me and move to Palm Springs as well?" "Well yes I can. I was afraid for a moment you were going to let me go when you said you were selling the apartment. I have no ties here boss. Where you go I go as long as you will have me." His face had an expression of relief on it while he talked. He had nice lips too...what was I thinking? "Great, Max it's all settled. You, Pedro and I are going to California. Do we have access to a computer so we can look up real estate in Palm Springs?" "Sure we can hook up to the hotel's Wi-Fi. I have a lap top with me Scott. We can hook it up when we get to the Four Seasons. Pedro, go ahead and get packed and we'll leave right away. Scott seems uncomfortable here." And within a few minutes we were out of there and I didn't care if I ever came back. It was not for me and as thankful as I was to my grandmother I was ready to look for my own type of place.
