After a few months, Glenn, Mitch's uncle and Drew's great-uncle, had decided that it was finally time to tell Chris the truth. He called him on the pretext that he had something he needed to discuss with each of Mitch's friends. He invited Chris over for drinks and dinner and a serious conversation about his past and their future. Chris showed up a few minutes early and just stood outside the enormous house (which some might call a mansion) trying to take it all in. It was an ultramodern house with an artistic fountain in the front, a huge wall of windows and solar panels in the side yard. Glenn had buzzed him through the gate and knew he was there but was waiting for Chris to ring the doorbell. When he didn't, Glenn went to see what was keeping him. He opened the door and saw Chris just staring at the front of the house. He chuckled softly then said, "You're here!" That snapped Chris out of his daze and he replied, "Yes, sorry. I just can't get over this place. It's huge. How many people live here!" Glenn chuckled a little more loudly this time as he answered, "Just me. Would you like to come in and see the rest?" Chris blushed when he finally realized that he still hadn't made any progress toward the front door so he put one foot in front of the other and soon found himself walking up the steps to where Glenn was standing. He reached out his hand and shook Glenn's, then the older man enfolded Chris into a hug. Glenn released him then stepped inside and Chris followed. If he had been taken aback by the outside, he was simply floored by the inside. "My whole apartment could fit inside your living room with some left over!" he declared as he took it all in, the sparseness and simplicity was like something out of a magazine. Glenn laughed out loud this time and replied, "Yeah, I know it's ridiculous but it's great for hosting parties. Come, I'll show you the rest. The dining area was almost as big as the living room but then when he saw the kitchen and he knew it had them both beat for its beauty and functionality. "This kitchen is incredible! Are you a gourmet cook?" "No, not even close. I have a cook. She makes me plenty of healthy meals knowing that I eat crap each day at the hospital. In fact, I hope it's okay that she made the meal this evening. I'm not a very good cook, never have been." "Of course, but I'm still wondering what you wanted to talk to me about. You sounded very mysterious over the phone." "Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I just needed to do this face-to-face. What can I get you to drink?" Chris didn't really drink hard liquor so that was out of the question and just as he was about to ask what was for dinner, Glenn offered, "I have champagne and orange juice if you'd like a mimosa." That was Chris' favorite brunch drink so he asked, "How did you know I like mimosas?" "A little birdy told me that you have brunch with friends every Sunday and that's a pretty typical brunch drink. So is that a `yes'?" Chris grinned and said, "Yes, thank you." Glenn offered Chris a seat at the breakfast bar then began putting their drinks together. Once finished, he handed Chris his then raised his glass and said, "Cheers." Chris had no idea what they were toasting but he raised his glass and echoed the sentiment. "Now, are you hungry?" Chris had to admit that he was so he said, "A little." Glenn knew what that meant so he retrieved the meals from the oven, uncovered them and began to make his way to the dining table. Chris noticed that it was set for two but could easily seat twelve. "That dining table is so big and intimidating. Why don't we eat here in the kitchen instead?" Glenn smiled at the young man and knew he was a chip off the old block even if somewhat removed. "Great idea. Would you mind gathering up the place settings and bringing them in here?" Chris jumped down from the stool, went to the table, gathered everything he could carry then set them back up on the marble breakfast bar. While he went back for the glassware, Glenn placed the warm plates on the placemats and waited for Chris to sit down. Then he joined him on the end. They ate in silence for a little while then Chris could contain his curiosity no longer. "So, Glenn. Why am I really here? It isn't about work, is it?" Glenn put down his fork and replied, "No, it's something quite personal. Why don't we retire to the living room if that's okay?" Chris was no longer hungry so he agreed. They took their drinks and went and sat on the huge, white leather sofa. "I asked you here to tell you some things, some things about your..." Glenn tried to think of just the right word then settled on, "history." Chris crinkled his nose at the word wondering what that could possibly mean but nevertheless let Glenn continue uninterrupted. "I've tried for weeks to come up with just the right words to say what I need to say but there isn't a right way and there are no right words so I'm just going to spit it out and then explain. Chris, I'm your grandfather." The words echoed in Chris' ears for a moment then he repeated them out loud. "My grandfather?" "Yes. Now here's where I need to explain because there is a backstory that you need to know first. When I was coaching college football. . . I was a college football coach before I went to medical school. . . I developed a philosophy for teambuilding that was the basis for what Mitch has incorporated at Canfield and with which you are very familiar." Chris nodded his head wondering where this was going. "We had a winning season that first year I added that `experience' to our regimen, even winning the state championship in our division. The next year we did even better and won the national title. Unfortunately, someone shared our winning formula with the wrong person, it got back to the administration and I was let go. It ruined my marriage so I left and yes, to this day your mother and grandmother probably think I'm dead." Chris nodded so he continued. "Luckily, I had inherited some money that allowed me to go to medical school, my real passion has always been helping people, and it also allowed me to invest in Mitch's company in order to get it off the ground. My investment has paid off over the years and I am now a very rich man as you can see. But I never forgot about my former wife and my daughter. . . or you for that matter. I set up Joanna with a trust fund which has allowed her to live a life free from worry. Carla married a good man though he never made much money doing what he loved." "He was a writer." "That's right. I remember. I made sure you never wanted for anything either. Now, I know that money doesn't make up for being absent all those years but I want to make it up to you now. I want to be a part of your life now if you'll let me." Chris could see the pain in his face and the tears welling up in his eyes as he asked what must have been an incredibly difficult thing. He was vulnerable and at the mercy of his estranged grandson. But Chris was a good soul with an incredible heart. He launched himself at his grandfather and hugged him so tightly that Glenn thought he might actually break a rib. "You've made me so happy, Granddad!" then he leaned back a little and asked, "Is it okay that I call you that?" Glenn smiled as the tears flowed down his cheeks. "It's more than okay, it's a dream come true for me." He hugged Chris tightly as he added, "You have no idea how long I've waited to hear you call me that. I love you, Chris." And his grandson echoed those words. "And I love you, Granddad." They stayed like that for a few minutes before Glenn pulled back. "You may have to pinch me, Chris, because it feels like a dream having you here, allowing me back into your life like this." "I'm not gonna pinch you, Granddad, but I can assure you I'm here and this is real." "That's good to hear. Now only you and Mitch know the truth. We haven't told Drew yet, so do you think you can continue to call me Glenn when other people are around and Granddad when it's just the two of us?" "Sure, I can do that. . . Granddad," Chris added as he wiped the tears from Glenn's cheeks. "When do you think you'll tell him?" "I don't know. He's just learned that I really am his great-uncle so we may have to wait a bit longer." "Wait. If you're Drew's great-uncle then that would make Mitch your nephew and both of them my cousins?" Chris asked hoping he'd gotten that right. "I'm afraid so. Are you okay with that?" "Hell yeah! I have a grandfather now and two new cousins. This is great!" "But you do realize that you've had sex with both of them, right? Are you okay with that too?" "Of course! I knew there was a connection with Mitch and Drew the first time I had sex with each of them, I just didn't know why. But now I do!!!" "So you're okay with having had a sexual relationship with both of your cousins? Well, I have to say that's very. . . progressive of you." "What can I say, Granddad? I'm a very progressive kind of guy. Which means I have a confession of my own to make." Glenn wondered what that could be so he sat back and listened as Chris related his own story. "When Mom would go to visit Grandma for weeks at a time, Dad and I would go camping. It started when I was maybe twelve or thirteen and continued until he died. We went to the same place every time, a nudist campground, so I got used to being around nudity pretty early on. And when we got back home we'd hang out in the nude then too. That is until Mom came back and then it was back on with the clothes. "Anyway, one time, I was fourteen maybe, it got really cold that night and I was shivering and my teeth were chattering so Dad told me to get undressed and get in his sleeping bag with him. He took off his clothes too then I climbed in with him. He wrapped his big, strong arms around me and after a while I stopped being cold. I was aware of his penis in my butt crack but by then I was so warm from his body heat that I fell right to sleep. The next morning however, I realized I could feel his hard cock between my legs. It turned me on so much that I got hard. I didn't dare move though because he was still asleep, or so I thought. He moved back slightly but I wanted him to stay where he was so I moved back too. He got the hint and moved back in. Then he reached down, found my hard prick and closed his hand around it. He said, `Morning, son. Seems like we both have the same problem. What should we do about them?' Well, I was so turned on that I started fucking his hand. Then he started moving his hard cock back and forth between my legs and before either of us knew it we were coming buckets." "Oh my God," Glenn said without thinking. It hadn't gone unnoticed by Chris that Glenn had a hardon of his own in his slacks but Chris wasn't finished with his story. "Yeah, I know right? Now Dad took care of cleaning us both and wiping down the sleeping bag with our underwear which meant that we both went commando the rest of the day which I'd never done before. When we got home that afternoon, he invited me to take a shower with him, something we hadn't done since I was a kid and he'd showed me how to clean under my foreskin. Well, we both got hard again but didn't do anything about it. Later on, after I'd finished my homework for the next day, I found him watching TV on the couch in the buff and I asked if I could join him. He didn't sit up though, he just scooted back making room for me to lay down in front of him. I did then he wrapped his arm around me and we watched TV like that for the next hour or so. I could feel his hard cock in my back but I didn't say anything because I wanted to stay like that. I liked it. He didn't reach down for my cock this time though. When the movie was over, he told me he was going to bed so I got up and then he did too. We hugged but then he did something he hadn't done since I was much younger. He kissed me on the lips. It was quick but it meant the world to me. It was like something had shifted in our relationship and I for one was glad. "After that, whenever we went camping we always shared one sleeping bag, slept in the nude and got off at least once during the trip. We also continued to shower together when we got back from our camping trips. And at home, when Mom was away, we laid on the couch together and watched TV in the nude. This continued until I was about fifteen. Then something happened and what followed was something I couldn't have anticipated." He paused to see if Glenn was still interested. "So what happened?" Glenn asked eagerly. "I decided it was time to come out to my dad. We were laying on the couch watching TV like usual when I turned to face him. Our noses were practically touching and I said, `Dad, I'm gay.' I'll never forget the look on his face. He was shocked which I thought was odd since we'd been jerking each other off for a long time now. Then he asked, `Did I make you gay?' and I answered, `No, I was born this way.' He seemed to breathe a sigh of relief then asked, `Maybe we should stop going camping and doing this, laying together naked.' I loved that he was so concerned but I had to assure him that I hoped we didn't stop. Then I said, `But if you need to stop then I guess that would have to be okay. Whatever you decide, I'll respect your decision. It's just that I feel closest to you when we're camping and lying here watching TV. I've never felt closer to another human being and with Mom gone all the time you're all I have.' He hugged me and kissed me. The kiss, however, lasted longer than it probably should have and it turned deeper until we were making out and then we were both hard. When he pulled back he asked, `Was that okay? I should have asked first. I'm sorry.' I answered, `No need to apologize. I liked it. It was my first real kiss and you're a really good kisser by the way.' He smiled and said, `Thanks, you're not so bad yourself. We could practice some more if you like.' I told him I'd like that so we made out for a while longer while we played with each other's cocks. Did you know that Dad was intact too?" Glenn shook his head and said, "No, I didn't know that." "Well, he was and as you know I am. We had almost the same cock actually. It was pretty cool. Anyway, then he apologized for Mom. He told me he thought it was because she grew up without a father." And that's when Chris realized he'd just said that to the man who was that absentee father. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, Granddad. I forgot. I'm..." "No, it's okay. It's not your fault. I wasn't there for your mother or your grandmother. I should never have left them but I didn't know what else to do." Glenn looked like he was going to start crying again, so Chris embraced his grandfather once more. This night was turning out to be more emotional for Glenn than he had bargained for. "Granddad, even if they never forgave you, I do. We're here together and you're making up for all those missed years now. I love you for that." Glenn pulled back so that he could look into Chris' eyes. He could see that his grandson was telling him the truth and the tears flowed down his cheeks once more. Chris did something he hadn't planned, he leaned forward and kissed Glenn on the lips. Glenn was so surprised that he stopped crying and pulled back once more. "I'm sorry, it was a spur of the moment thing. You were crying again and I just didn't know what else to do!" Glenn chuckled at the absurdity of the moment. His grandson had kissed him to make him stop crying. "It was definitely the right move, Chris. I stopped didn't I?" Then Chris chuckled too and Glenn continued, "I think we need to change the subject and get off this couch now. How about a tour of the rest of the house?" He knew Chris still had more to tell him about his dad but it could wait. They had the rest of their lives to catch up. "I would love that, Granddad." (to be continued in Part 2)
