Sean and Colby went to the pool after school the next day.  They changed
into their swim suits and then went to the pool area were they found Aaron

The coach had to kick them out of the pool so he could go.  Again the three
were left alone in the team locker room showering.  After starting their
showers with their swim suits on they soon took them off in order to rinse

time in the pool today the boys had to take a quick shower so they could be
outside when Steve picked them up.

The week continued in much the same way and by the end of the first week of
school everyone had seemed to settle into a routine.  However that routine
was going to change a little as we found out that Colby would be moving
back to his parent's house that weekend.

Everyone was a little down when Saturday came and Colby had to pack his
stuff for the move back with his parents.  Of course Sean was the most

After Colby had all his stuff packed, we all sat around the breakfast bar.
Connor being Connor had to lighten the mood by saying, "Oh my God, you guys

away and Sean you will see him every day at school and swimming practice.

Colby a hug and said he was going over to Hunter's house.

welcome here.  You have both mine and Steve's phone number and you can call
us anytime.  We want you to keep the key to the house and you can come and

Steve stood up and also gave Colby a hug saying, "We consider you one of
our boys and if you ever need anything just call."  With that, Steve and I
went outside where Ms. Johnston was waiting to take Colby to his parent's
house.  We chatted with her for a little while as Sean and Colby talked

Colby pulled Sean into a hug and said, "Thanks for being my best friend and
nothing is going to change between us except that we will not be sleeping
in the same bed every night."

Sean whispered into Colby's ear, "I love you and even though we will see
each other every day, I can't help but feel sad that we won't be sleeping
in the same bed every night, but I know that you need to be with your mom
and dad so don't worry, I will be fine.  Call me tonight when you can."

"I will, and I love you too."  With that, Colby kissed Sean and then went
outside to meet up with Ms. Johnston who was waiting to take him to his
parent's house.  After another hug from Steve and I, Colby climbed in
Ms. Johnston's vehicle.  Ms. Johnston thanked Steve and I again for taking
Colby in and said she would let us know how everything goes.

Just a few minutes later Colby and Ms. Johnston were at Colby's parent's
house.  They went inside where Linda and Dennis were waiting for them.
After giving a hug to both his mom and dad, Colby took his stuff into his
room and then came back out to the living room where Ms. Johnston was
talking to his parent's.  Ms. Johnston was telling Linda and Dennis about
how she wanted Colby and them to continue with their counseling for the
foreseeable future.  She also told them she would be checking in on them a
couple of times a month.

After Ms. Johnston left Colby sat in the living room and talked with his
parents.  He told them about his classes and about joining the swim team.
Colby's dad was impressed that he and Sean both made the swim team.  He was
even more impressed that they were practicing on their own.  Colby told
them about Aaron and how he was helping him and Sean on their stoke
technique and their turns.

Later that night they all enjoyed their first dinner together as a family
in a long time.  Colby was enjoying being home with his family but he was
starting to miss Sean.  After dinner Colby went to his room and called
Sean.  They chatted back and forth for the better part of two hours.  Of
course being teenage boys their chat turned to talk about sex which had

Colby's dad knocked and then opened the door without waiting for an answer.

I heard the door open slowly and saw a naked Sean standing in the doorway

Sean?"

Sean whispered, "I can't sleep. I miss Colby."

Steve woke up as soon as he heard Sean's voice and he rolled over on his
right side, pulling the covers back so Sean could join us in bed.  Steve
pulled Sean up close to him giving him a hug, telling him everything would
be ok.

I rolled over on my right side and snuggled up against Steve's back with my
arm over his and Sean's sides.  Soon we were all asleep holding each other.
It must have been an hour or so later and I felt the bed move.  It was
Connor climbing in bed with us, sliding in with his backside up against my
backside.  Of course when Connor came into our bed, Max was right behind
him, jumping up on the bed and taking his place at the bottom of the bed at
Connor's feet.

The sun was just poking through the blinds when I woke up.  I untangled

back and pulled Connor into his left side while he had Sean on his right
side.  They were so cute that I grabbed my cell phone and snapped a couple
of quick pictures and then Max and I went out to the kitchen after I

I put the coffee on, let Max out in the back yard and then went out front
to get the paper.  When I came back in Steve was in the kitchen sitting at
the breakfast bar looking very tired.  I gave him a kiss on the cheek as I
walked by going around the breakfast bar, getting our coffee cups ready.
Steve rubbed his eyes and said, "We are going to have to get a bigger bed
if these boys are going to keep climbing in bed with us."

I smiled saying, "I think you are right but then we won't have to all
cuddle in order to fit on the bed."

I went back in to wake the boys up for breakfast and had to call Steve,
"Hey come look at your boys all cuddled up together."  Steve walked up
behind me, putting his chin on my shoulder as we looked at Sean and Connor,
both sound asleep with Sean spooning Connor from behind.  Steve whispered
in my ear, "Those are our boys!"

I just smiled and pulled him into a quick kiss and then said, "Get OUR boys
up so we can eat, I'm starving."  Steve went back into the kitchen, but I
couldn't resist just standing there watching our boys sleep so peaceful.
After a few minutes I called their names to wake them up.  They both moved
a little, stretching their lean bodies, both rolling on their backs, their
morning wood tenting the sheet that barely covered their hot little bodies.
I stood there another minute admiring the view and also to make sure they
didn't just fall back to sleep before I walked back to the kitchen to help
Steve finish making breakfast.

A couple of minutes later I heard the toilet flush in our bathroom and then
saw two naked boys walk across the living room to their rooms.  A minute
later they were both at the breakfast bar in nothing but their boxers,
rubbing their eyes and asking what we were having for breakfast.

Steve and I both noticed that Sean was still a little down in the dumps.  I
asked Steve, "What do you think?  Should take the boat out for a little bit
today?"

Steve smiled, "Oh, I don't know, I was thinking of hanging out around the
house today and maybe read a good book."

I looked at the boys, both laughing at Steve, knowing he was full of it.  I
started laughing too saying, "Well then you two better get on the phone and
make sure Colby and Hunter can go with us."

As soon as we finished breakfast they both took off to their rooms grabbing
their phones each calling their best friend.  Sean had a smile from ear to
ear waiting for Colby to answer the phone.  Colby was only half a wake when
he answered his phone and it took him a minute to figure out who he was
talking to.

Once wide awake, Colby realized who he was talking to and what Sean was
asking.  After getting up and almost running out of his room naked before
he realized that he was home and could no longer run out of his bedroom
naked or even with just boxers on, Colby threw on some running shorts and a
t-shirt before going out to the kitchen where his mom and dad were sitting
reading the morning paper with their coffee.  Colby said, "Morning.  Sean
is on the phone and asked if I could go out on their boat with him and his
family.  May I go?"

Colby's dad looked over his paper at his son with a questioned look on his
face.  "You just came back from their house yesterday; do you think you
should be going back so soon?"

Colby's smile left his face and he glanced at his mom.  "I guess I should
stay here and spend the day with you guys."

Colby's mom could see the hurt in Colby's eyes, "Dennis, I think it would
be fine if he went out with his friends for a few hours, as long as he is
back in time for dinner."

Colby looked back at his father waiting for an answer.  Dennis looked over
the top of the paper saying, "I guess, as long as you are back before
dinner.  Remember we eat at five o'clock sharp, don't be late."

The smile returned to Colby's face as he ran off to tell Sean.  Sean told
Colby that they would swing by to pick him up after they stopped and got
Hunter.  Colby told Sean about having to be back in time for dinner with
his parents.

We spent the better part of the day out on the lake.  We would pull the
boys around on the tubes for a while, and then they would stop and relax in
the water for a while.  They all had a great time and before they knew it,
it was time to head in.  We dropped Hunter off first and then stopped at
Colby's house.  Steve and I wanted to say hi to Dennis and Linda so we all
walked Colby to the door.  Colby opened the door leading everyone inside.
Dennis and Linda were both sitting in the living room watching TV when they
saw they had company.  They both got up and greeted their guests.  Dennis
still didn't feel right having Steve and me in his house.  I could see it
in his eyes when I shook his hand.

We chatted for a few minutes, telling Dennis and Linda what a great kid
they had in Colby and how we enjoyed having him stay at our house.  I could
see that Dennis was not happy about Colby staying with us so I figured I
had better cut this visit short and get our gang back home.

After dinner that night as Steve and the boys sat and watched TV, I made my
weekly phone call to my two kids.  Kelly and Kate where both doing well as
expected.  Kelly had graduated college a couple of years ago, got married
to a girl he met in college and was now living in New Mexico.  Kate had
also graduated and was working in Colorado.  I don't get to see them much
but I call them every Sunday evening to check in with them. As expected
they were both doing well and we talked about them coming out for
Thanksgiving in just a couple of months.

Both my kids know that Steve and the boys were living with me.  I told them
as soon as Steve and the boys moved in back in the beginning of the year.
I didn't tell them that Steve had moved into my bedroom.  In fact they have
no idea about my preference for guys.  At least I don't think they do.  I
have to start thinking about how I am going to tell them when they come to
visit at Thanksgiving.  I would never ask Steve or the boys to put on a
charade to hide my feelings for Steve and the boys.  I just hope and pray
that they will accept my life as it is now and accept Steve and the boys as
family.
