Pavel had long ago sagged limply on the cushions, drained and exhausted beyond belief, wrung absolutely dry of his every emotion and every desire and every thought though this creature continued to force excitation and ejaculation upon him; so he merely lay there in a semi-stupor after being released, and his only thought was sheer relief that this was over at last. It was as if he never wanted to have sex again! Sleep came upon him as a welcomed visitor, and he embraced it so completely that he didn't awaken even when those chinitous arms took him once again and carried them through the buzzing hordes. He knew it was happening, but sleep was a refuge and he clung to that hiding place tenaciously. Some time later, he realized that what he heard was a human voice in a sort of chanting song, and he opened one eye to look into a familiar face. "Jassem!" "I greet you, my sultan and friend." Jassem said. "With sorrow rather than joy, for you now share my fate. I have prayed for you ever since they brought you here." "Where are Jethro and Pelen?" Pavel said, struggling to rise. "Rest easy, for you have been through a terrible ordeal." Jassem said. "I know it well. Your clothes are here with me, Jethro is sitting with some of his fellow countrymen in the next room, and your other friend lies sleeping still at your side." Pavel turned his head and saw Pelen was still asleep, his tousled hair and face softened by sleep making him look more as a child than a young man. "He will be awake soon." Jassem said. "The one the creature takes first is always drained the most, and this is why Jethro awoke before you did." Drained more than he? Pavel felt sorry for Pelen; he was still weak from exhaustion and groggy from the repeated orgasms forced upon him by the creature, and if Pelen had taken more of this abuse than he had...poor Pelen! Pavel blinked and shook his head, and this helped, so he shook it some more, and this after the dizziness had passed, let him sit upright. He didn't have the strength to swat a fly, but he was erect. Pelen's white form was stretched out on the bedding, and Pavel saw that this bedding stretched around for a long distance. There must be room for a hundred men here. The room was amply but dimly lit by many glowing globes of light overhead. He recognized it, this was human technology, directly from the ships which had landed here. "Where are we?" "In a chamber deep underground." Jassem said. "This entire area is for the humans that the Djinni have captured and keep. Only those young Turtle Men the Angels bring with them go back with them the same day." Pelen groaned softly and Pavel turned his attention back to him. That face begged to be touched, and Pavel did, stroking it softly, and Pelen roused and his eyes opened, looked into his. "Sleep some more." Jassem said to Pelen, and Pelen took the advice and his eyes closed once again, a small smile lightening the features. "I'll get you out of this, Pelen." Pavel said to him softly. "I don't know how, but I'll get you out of this." He looked at Jassem. "You and I had our reasons for coming here; we took the risk for the sake of our peoples and the future that could give us. But he came for friendship alone, and to give us help though we had done nothing to deserve such help." "Your friend is my friend, and your ally is my own." Jassem said. "Won't you sleep some more now? It is night-time." And Jassem yawned. "I thought it was quiet." Pavel said. "Yes, our captors sleep." Jassem agreed. "But they seal us in these caverns before they sleep. We could not hope to escape before sunrise, and so they would take us again. They do not punish attempts to escape, but I have been told that many have tried and none have succeeded. Now rest, for you are still weak. I will bring you food in the morning." Pavel had to admit that more sleep sounded good and he settled back down. Pelen roused as he moved, and snuggled in close to Pavel and Jassem without a word, pulled the blanket up to cover them both. Jassem was so wise for his years, Pavel decided, as sleep claimed him once more. He awoke again to the unmistakable sounds of men having sex, and a roaring in his own ears that told him he had been breathing the pink mist for some time without realizing it. Pelen was still in his arms, and the feel of that warm body against his was unbearably exciting. Pelen groaned and wriggled in some frenetic dream, and his cock was a burning flagpole along one of Pavel's thighs, while his own cock seemed determined to bury itself in Pelen's navel. Pavel turned up the beautiful face and kissed it delicately, again and again until the eyelids opened and a smile met his own. "We have spent the night together?" he asked. "Yes." Pavel said. "It means nothing." Pelen said. "Except that I am glad you are here now." Pelen's fingers were fire across his body. Pavel gasped and kissed that tender forehead, all he could reach, for Pelen had pressed his head downwards to watch and guide his hands, which were now playing expertly over Pavel's body, moving like lines of dancers that skirted and skated across his body. And in their wake was liquid fire! Pelen's hand found Pavel's cock and grasped it firmly, and Pavel groaned as Pelen milked his pud with gently clutching upwards tugs, and Pavel's hands which had been on Pelen's back found a life of their own and they pulled at Pelen's buttocks and pulled him tightly to Pavel and Pelen raised his lips to find Pavel's own eagerly searching for them, to meet them and press against them. Pelen moved his hips with gently motions, and this stroked his prick across Pavel's thighs, and Pavel shifted and with his other leg trapped this slipping prong between his legs, and Pelen sighed in pleasure and pumped into him harder. His hand still managed to squirm like a trapped animal, to work Pavel's dong with small motions, and in this synchronized motion of wriggling lust they pleasured each other. Pavel's thighs protested the heat and friction and he pulled at Pelen to bring this red-haired lover on top of him, and his legs parted to wrap around that white body and Pelen's prick now had egress if it desired. "Come on, fuck me." he begged Pelen. "Nice and slow." Pelen's cock was slicked with their body sweat and that in their aroused state seemed to be sufficient, Pavel felt the salty-sweat-covered prong kiss his anus and then press into him in sweet persuasion, his body clenched, then relaxed and opened wide for this friendly visitor. Pavel sighed as Pelen's pud slid deeper and deeper into him, and he kissed once again that gentle face that had never asked anything of him but to share his fate and his life. It deserved so much this gift of his body, the gift that gave him pleasure as well. Pelen moved with slow, languid strokes, and this inflamed Pavel more than swift and rapid humping ever could have. The mist was driving them to lust, but their bodies, weakened by their ordeal, slowed it back down again, and the end result was sustained passion metered out in a satisfying pace. Pleasure that went on and on. Pelen was moving so slowly, so wonderfully enjoyable were the sensations that played through his body as that smooth prick slid in and out of him, that Pavel wished for this time to be unending, that it could play itself out like the white creature had done, over and over, on and on. Had he enjoyed what that thing had done to him? It had wrung him absolutely empty, and only now his body was beginning to somewhat recover, did he long to feel it upon him once again? This frightening thought galvanized him into action, he rolled Pelen over and sat up on Pelen's crotch, that wonderful prong buried in him, and Pavel forced the pleasure into a fast pace, though his body reeled dizzily from the motions, he rode Pelen's cock hard and fast, and Pelen moaned in passion that resonated through him as Pelen's dick stroked his prostate, and Pavel groaned, groaned more as Pelen's hand, recovering from the shock of this new movement, began to whip his pud in time to Pavel's thrusts upon Pelen's prong, and in this new and more rapid symphony, their bodies climbed once more the heights of desire toward the precipice that beckoned at the other side. Pavel felt it first, the joy of climax swiftened by the fear of that furtive thought which had stolen into his brain, he would not become a slave to those white things, whatever they were, he would be the master of his own body and his own fate, and that fate said that this was how he would take his joy, he would take it like this, or not at all! So commanding and all-present was this need that his body complied at last, and Pavel felt his orgasm building in his prong, pooling there and coaxed by Pelen's rapid fingers, and he clung to his climax fiercely, forced it to build and when ejaculation came, when his body stiffened and jerked in joy as his cock sprayed Pelen's beautiful body with his pearl-colored jism, he felt triumph as well as pleasure, and he loved the way that his come splattered Pelen all over at once, landing like crystalline jewels upon that heaving breast and stomach. Pelen's eyes flew wide at the hot splats of jizz, and he began to hunch upwards at Pavel's butt, spoiling the rhythm but it didn't seem to matter then, for Pelen quickly reached his height and his wads pelted Pavel's innards with discrete hard capsules he could sense within himself, and as Pavel's orgasm released him, he fell forward onto Pelen still grimacing and spasming with his desire, and Pavel pressed himself against this body wracked by pleasure and held it until the seizures ceased and Pelen was limp and safe once more within his arms. Pavel rested his head on Pelen's come-splattered chest, not caring that he soiled himself with his own seed lying there, drinking in the smell of Pelen's body and his own ejaculate, and in that awkward pose and drained of his passion, he fell asleep just like that. Some time later, he awoke, still wrapped up in Pelen but now side-by-side. He rose and looked around him, his head still swam somewhat but he felt much better. "Jassem?" "I am here." Jassem came to him bearing two small bowls. "I have food for you and your friend. It is foul-tasting, but it is all they give us, and it does sustain life." "That at least was the truth." Pavel said. He looked at Pelen, who was still asleep, gently disentangled himself and sat up, took the bowl preferred to him. There was no recourse but to sip it from the bowl's edge, and he did. It tasted slimy, gooey, and flowed like paste. But if it was all he had to eat, he would eat it, for the strength it would give him and the strength to escape. He managed a swallow or two (it at least slid down his throat easily, no need to chew the vile stuff), and then rested from this effort, by asking, "Is Aram here? My last report was that he had been seen near here." "He is not among us." Jassem said. "All humans are brought here at night and kept here except when needed by the Djinni. I pray he is safe." "I hope he had the good sense not to come here." Pavel said. "I wasn't so smart. We just walked right in, and they took us without even trying." "Aram and I learned of the Djinni at our father's knee." Jassem assured him. "He would not be foolish enough to come here. He would have returned to Medina Jadeed without us, to try and summon aid from among my people. Not that he will succeed, but it is our only hope and he can at least tell our family what has befallen us." Pavel almost said, "But I was told he was coming here." and then he remembered who had told him that. The Angels. No reason to believe them in this, either. "Where are my clothes?" He settled for saying. He felt stronger with each passing moment. He let Jassem help him dress, but when it was done, he arose and said to Jassem, "My friend, stay with Pelen, so that he does not awaken all alone. Only point me the way to this thing I must see." "I obey my sovereign and will ward his friend with my life. You go through there." Jassem pointed with one long, brown, lithe arm. "There are only three chambers here, this room is the third of them and all are in a row; you will not get lost. But you will need the sight in that first chamber explained to you, for I did." Pavel walked between the rows of now-vacant beds (which were mere mattresses or large cushions on the floor, he couldn't tell their exact nature for they were covered with sheets and blankets) and feeling feeble but ambulatory, he made his way through the upward-sloping tunnel to the chamber Jassem had pointed out. This was the largest room by far, and it held the human population. Here was furniture of all sorts, and even games and diversions; four men played a game of tennis on a regulation-sized court surrounded by netting, there was a pool in which many men splashed and played, there was an area which held a broad amount of exercise equipment which the men were using, and another place where the men engaged in what appeared to be a complete wrestling tournament, for three separate groups were battling it out under the supervision of referees while others watched, cheering and exchanging bets with each other. Some sex was also going on here and there, too, of course, though not the amount he would have expected. But the mist didn't seem to be in this chamber at this time. Five of the men were Connobaran soldiers, and it took Pavel some time to realize that none of them were Jethro. But he saw another place beyond where some men walked in, and he went in that direction. Another chamber, but this one...seethed. Jethro was indeed there, along with the other men, regarding the contents of a pit too precipitous for anyone to climb into, not that anyone would want to. The exit to these chambers must be that tunnel beyond this pit; but there was no way to get to it save through that boiling mass of vomitous white. Pavel thought at first it was a pit of maggots crawling over some obscene dead thing, but he realized after a time what it contained. It was filled with immature versions of the thing that had waddled up to them and taken him and his companions. Jethro saw him and seeing his enfeebled state, went over and put a strong arm around him. "Where's Jassem?" He asked. "Jassem was to stay with you. He promised me." "I told him to watch Pelen, who's still asleep." Pavel said. "And he listened to you?" Jethro asked, somewhat incredulously. "He had no choice." Pavel grinned a mirth he didn't feel. "I'm his king, remember?" "Oh, yeah." Jethro said. "I forgot about that." Pause. "But you abdicated, didn't you?" "Not exactly." Pavel said. "Officially, I'm a sultan on a journey, who has left my kingdom in the keeping of my husband and vizier. Which is how I intend to leave things from now on, but only you and I have to know that. Now what is this place?" "It's those things that gave us the world's longest blow-job." Jethro said as he steered Pavel over. "Careful, there's nothing to stop you from falling in, and you don't want to fall into that." "I can believe it." Pavel said, putting his arm around Jethro's sturdy waist. "But I want to see." Jethro led him over and Pavel looked down into the squirming, corpulent scene. "Know what those are?" Jethro asked. "I couldn't guess." Pavel said. "They're the Angel's eggs. Or larvae, or whatever you want to call them." "Really?" Pavel said. "Why are they here, with the Djinni?" That didn't make sense! "Because the Angels don't lay their own eggs." one of the other men said to him. "Are you really the new Sultan of Medina Jadeed? What happened to Mahmoud?" "When we got into the Waters of Life, he's the one who became altered." Pavel explained. "So he became my first husband instead of me becoming his third." "Ah!" the man said in comprehension and bowed, as did most of his friends, for their company was heavily Arabic in composition. "We greet you, oh, Sultan, and wish you long life and a happy reign." Pavel knew how to respond; he said, "I thank you, my subjects, for your wishes. May your sons be many and give you honor." "We must get you free." the man said in a tone that brooked no objection. "If all of us work together, we might arrange that you could escape while we kept them occupied." "Let us wait and see what else there is before we plot that." Pavel said uncomfortably. On one level it made sense, to favor him like that, but on another, it rankled his sense of honor. He was sultan only by the weird twist of fate, and didn't deserve the title and had tried his best to give it back to Mahmoud the only way he could. But if he could rally these men to action...best to play along. Another of his erstwhile subjects volunteered, "We know that even killing them does not carry any penalty, save for the Queen and she is too well-guarded. I am told one did manage to kill a Queen by keeping a knife hidden until he could throw it into her face. But her entire family went mad and devoured him and the other humans with them whole, and then attacked the other Djinni in a berserk fury. They say this valley was filled with corpses before the entire family of the slain Queen was destroyed." "All the more reason to find a path which does not require killing." Pavel said. "Tell me more about these Angel larvae. Why are they here with the Djinni instead of being cared for by the Angels?" "Because they aren't Angel larvae." Jethro said. "They're Djinni larvae. Sort of." "I'm no wiser." "Neither am I, but let me tell you how much I know." Jethro agreed. "The Angels feed the Djinni Queens that mash I told you about, the ones they make using Turtle Men's sweat and stink as part of the ingredients? They bring it here, and in exchange, the Queen lays some special eggs for them. They hatch out into this. They aren't true Djinni, they're more like...blanks. Empty of genetic material, but able to take in outside genetic stuff and convert it into its own. Sort of like the Connobaran Eggs. The Angels take a hatched larva from here, they mate with it, and this turns it into that...that thing that they stuck onto us. It needs a human to finish the process, you see, and three humans at once, no less. So the Angels bring in young Turtle Men with them, who service the larva. The larva pupates and then hatches out like a butterfly into a young Angel." Pavel had to think about this for a time. "Wow." He said at last. "'Wow' is the right word." Jethro agreed. "So why do the Djinni need us?" Pavel asked. "Because there are Angels who want children but the Council doesn't agree." Jethro said. "Same problem as in Connobar, there are more Angels than nubile humans, and they are forbidden to discuss this with the Turtle Men. They use some means of erasing the memory, remember how Pelen remembered being here before?" Pavel thought this through, and said, "We had wondered about why the Angels entered the war against Connobar when we captured some of their Turtle Men. And now we know. Without humans, without their Turtle Men who will serve them loyally, by bathing in that gunk and by helping their larvae complete the life cycle, the Angels will die out." "Makes sense, though you have to wonder how this all started to begin with, because it's damned complicated." Jethro said. "Hmmm. Once the Angels met the Djinni, it would have been simple enough." Pavel mused. "They would have already had that valley of theirs and some humans most likely, and they've kept a great deal of their technology fuctional, far more than we have in Facilitata. A little genetic research and you have the answer to having children on this world." "Yeah, but it leaves us humans holding the dirty end of the stick." Jethro said. "True. Well," Pavel said, when he saw that everyone was looking to him for an answer. "Now that we know that, what do we do?" "This is war." Jethro said firmly. "For the same reason Connobar invaded Facilitata; our two peoples must have passage to the Arab plains if we are to survive. We can do that thanks to you, but the Angels block the way. We have to convince the Angels that the only way to keep their own way of life is to help us live ours." "So what do you have in mind?" Pavel asked. Jethro looked down into that morass of seething white shapes. "Shake them up. I say we burn this lot. Dump some flammable stuff down in there and clean them out. That would make them sit up and pay attention." "But our air comes in through this chamber." one of the men argued. "We would die in the flames as well." "We could shut off this one chamber." Jethro said. "Enough air in here to keep us alive until nighttime falls again, and we could slip out." "And what would the Djinni be doing." the man pressed him. "Better to jump into that pit armed with clubs and kill them all. But then the Queen would merely lay more. And how would we be punished? We have thought of this. There is no use to this killing. Show me its value and I will swear my life to this." "What do you say, oh Sultan?" Jethro looked at Pavel. "I'll...I'll think about it." Pavel said. "For now, I just want to lie down again." "I'm told we're safe from those things for at least four or five days." Jethro said. "They can't use us all every day or we'd die in a hurry from that stimulus. I shudder to think how they figured that out! But we'll be kept here long enough to form the rest of our plan." "Good." Pavel said. Jethro took him back to the resting chamber. "Sure wish you'd supported me back there." Jethro complained as they walked. "We have to get these men working on something. They've all given up. Some of the guys in this chamber have gone quite mad. The Djinni don't care. That's our fate unless we do something, we'll be sitting and drooling just like them. I'd rather die fighting than that." Pavel was silent and didn't respond, or even look around. He had some major thinking to do. END OF CHAPTER 15
