Captain Hendrickson nodded at the co-pilot. "Logan, Renaissance One Heavy" said the co-pilot. "Renaissance One Heavy you are cleared for final approach on runway L14. Be advised winds from the NE at 12, you are number 2 for landing." "Logan, Renaissance cleared runway L14, winds NE at 12, thank you sir" The captain turned to the co-pilot. "Pretty uneventful flight tonight eh?" "Works for me Don" said the co-pilot. "Every flight that is uneventful is a good one, especially these days; but there's not much between St. Thomas and here to cause a problem." "Runway in sight, I have the aircraft" said Captain Hendrickson. "Notify the plane please" The co-pilot ran a quick calculation in his head and tapped a switch for the 747's intercom system. "Good evening, local time is 741pm. We will be touching down in about 3 minutes and should be at the hanger in about 7 minutes. Please find a seat. Galley please acknowledge we're set for landing" Jonathan looked up over the magazine he had been reading to see Nick sleeping on the couch. Sebastian was curled up with him, his tail draped almost protectively over his leg. Jonathan couldn't help but smile at the scene in front of him. The two of them had been spending a lot of time together lately. Jonathan opened his mind to Nick and gently nudged him awake. "Come on baby wake up" thought Jonathan. "We are just about to land and I know you don't want the cat clawing his way through you" Nick rolled over with a sleepy smile and picked up the cat and held on to him. "Good Point" said Nick. "We're here already?" "You slept almost the whole flight." Said Jonathan. He watched the cat's ears go back and his whiskers start twitching as the flaps were lowered into final landing position. "You feeling OK? You've been sleeping a lot lately" "Yeah I know" said Nick yawning, "Probably getting a cold or something" Jonathan looked out the window as the plane crossed the threshold of the runway and traveled a ways before settling down gracefully on the ground. "Don is amazing how he can put this thing down so softly" said Nick. "Very true" said Jonathan as the plane braked and began to slow. "He has been flying for me for over 10 years now. He's never missed a landing." Shortly thereafter the plane arrived at the private hanger and shut down the engines. Danny knocked and entered the private lounge in the front. Sebastian made a hasty retreat out the door almost knocking Danny over. "We're at the hanger." He said. "The Hummers are being off loaded now, we should be ready to go in about five minutes. Where are we headed?" "We're going to be here for a few days" said Jonathan. "According to the Old Farmer's Almanac it is the perfect apple picking weather. I'm sure Karen and Anthony want to hit the farmer's markets and I've not been in an orchard in ages. Beyond that, we'll wing it" "OK" said Danny, having learned over the years to take things on the fly. "We headed to the hotel?" "Actually, send the stuff to the hotel." Said Jonathan, "I'm thinking a drink at the Oak Bar first then dinner at Fire and Ice" "Hrm" came the reply as he did logistics in his head. "Glad I told the company to have some cars ready for us" "You're never going to let us just go someplace are you?" asked Nick as he came out of the front bedroom. "Never have never will" said Danny. "You did once" said Nick a smirk on his face. "I wasn't there so no I didn't" recalling the incident in St. Thomas years before. "What are you all dressed up for?" asked Jonathan, noting that Nick had a suit on. "You did say the Oak Bar, yes?" asked Nick as he straightened his tie. "Yeah but a suit?" asked Jonathan, noting that he was comfortably dressed in dress pants, shoes, and a hand tailored silk shirt. Nick walked up to him and kissed him. "So, you can be my bitch for the night" This earned him a quick spank on the ass. "Cute" said Jonathan. "Kinky man" said Nick smiling. "I thought you only did that when you tied me to the bed" "I'll keep that in mind for reference tonight" said Jonathan with a smile. He went into the bedroom area and got a dark blue double-breasted blazer to go with his light gray slacks. He stopped in the bathroom and got some Cologne before continuing out the door. By the time he met Nick at the forward door, the steps were in place and the door was open. He noted two agents standing on the top of the stairs and 4 more waiting down on the ground. "Where's Brandon?" asked Jonathan. "He and Mark went ahead to the hotel." Said Danny. "They said they will meet up with you later on for dinner. Fire and Ice is holding a couple of tables for us." "OK let's go then" said Jonathan. "I feel like a martini before dinner" "You don't look like one bitch" said Nick laughing, as he went past Jonathan smacking him on his ass on the way down the stairs CHAPTER TWO: "They are really good" said Nick as he sipped his Orange Martini; nodding his head toward the jazz group. "I just wish it was a bit quieter." Jonathan was reaching to refill his own Martini glass with the cafafe in the crystal ice bucket before him, but lost out to the speed and efficiency of a passing waiter. With a nod and infinite grace, the waiter poured the remaining liquid into his glass and quietly removed the ice bucket. "I agree with you." Night had fallen on Boston and the streetlights somehow combined with the dim lighting of the Oak Bar to form the perfect amount of light in the room. Rich dark oak panels reached upward to the carved ceiling of the room 25 feet above them. Marble panels with oak boarders were in pattern around the room. Behind the massive bar, the mirrors reflected back the light. "I love this place, we really should come here more often" said Jonathan. "Works for me" said Nick. "The service is amazing as are the drinks. This Martini is perfect. Not too tart or too sweet" "The mixture on the Belvedere and vermouth is perfect here too" said Jonathan tilting his glass. "You want another?" "No thanks" said Nick. "I must be coming down with something. I've had two and am getting quite the buzz" "Do you have a fever or something?" asked Jonathan. "Do you want to just go back to the hotel and order room service?" "No, I'm fine, just a little achy" said Nick. "Maybe it is the flu" "OK I'll get the check and we can go" said Jonathan, signaling the waiter. It was swiftly brought over. As Jonathan signed the check he noted Danny already standing by the door. "He never misses a beat" As they walked out of the Fairmont Copley where the Oak Bar was located, He looked over to Nick. "Feel up to walking? It's only a couple of blocks." "Sure" said Nick, taking his hand. "Let's go" said Jonathan. "Crap" said Danny under his breath, motioning to the agents around the area. They formed a loose circle with Nick and Jonathan in the center with Danny slightly behind them. The eight agents around the two assured no one would get near them. It was only a five minutes walk to Fire and Ice. Jonathan shot Danny a look at the crowd of agents around them. "No sweat" said Danny. "It is only me and two others coming in. The rest will be waiting downstairs" Jonathan nodded at the compromise. He went in the door to find Brandon waiting for him. "Hi Boss" He said. "We've got a couple of tables ready upstairs." "Good. I'm hungry" said Jonathan. "Lead the way" After getting settled at the tables and the waiter taking drink orders and refreshing them on how to do the routine, Nick and Jonathan got up and walked over to the buffet tables. "Can't ask for much fresher" said Nick as he was picking out the ingredients for his own dish. "Yup" said Jonathan, filling his own bowl with different ingredients. "That's what I love about this place." He wandered over to another table and got the sauce he wanted for this round. Together, under the watchful eye of Danny headed over to the circle where the enormous grill was. A full 12 feet in diameter, people lined up at the circular counter and watched as one of the three cooks took their meal and prepared it on the hot surface. Returning to the table, they ate as Mark and Brandon joined them with their own dishes. Talk was light and they reviewed the days ahead. A light schedule was actually on tap for them for the next month or so. After an hour or so all of them agreed that they were full and dessert was not an option. Even Nick, who was known for his voracious appetite was full. Jonathan paid the bill and they returned to the street. "Hotel?" asked Danny "Yeah sounds like a plan" said Jonathan. "I feel just like relaxing tonight" It was a swift trip in the Hummers to the hotel. Two more agents were waiting outside the hotel and shooed off the doorman to get the hummer doors themselves. As the group walked into the hotel lobby, the concierge bid them good evening. Brandon had gone ahead and was waiting with messages for him. Jonathan nodded his thanks as he took them and they entered the elevators. "You guys are done for the night" Jonathan said. "We're sleeping in tomorrow, so unless something explodes somewhere no business before noon" "You got it boss" said Brandon. "Sleep well" Jonathan nodded and entered the suite. He took off his jacket and handed it to a waiting steward. Nick did the same. They walked into the living room of their suite and settled down on the couch by the fire. Anthony walked over to them. "Good evening" he said. "You guys want anything?" Jonathan looked at Nick who just shook his head. "No, I think we're good for the night" "That's a first" said Anthony with a smile as he moved over to poke the fire. "Call if you need anything then. " "Have a great night Tony" said Jonathan. The two just sat by the fire on the couch holding hands, neither speaking yet feeling each other's thoughts. "Come on baby" said Jonathan standing up, "I think you need some sleep" "Works for me, I'm wiped" said Nick. "I hope this crap goes as fast as it comes" "I'm sure it will" said Jonathan. CHAPTER THREE: The next morning Jonathan rolled out of bed to find Nick standing by the windows. He looked at his watch and saw that it was 830 am. He stood watching Nick for a moment, trying to figure out what the problem was. Giving up, he got out of bed and wandered over to where Nick was. He ran his hands over Nick's shoulders. "You OK?" he asked. "I'm not sure" said Nick. "I don't feel sick, but I don't feel right etiher" "Something hurting?" asked Jonathan as he rubbed his shoulders. "Nothing hurts, but I don't know how to describe it" said Nick. "I feel like I have ants all over my body. It itches and it doesn't" "Maybe we ought to cut this trip short and go see a doctor." Said Jonathan with some concern in his voice. "What ever it is should pass" said Nick. "Whatever one of catches usually passes in 24 hours these days" Jonathan opened his mind to Nick. He searched his mind for anything out of place. He got nudged by Nick. "It is always nice to ask before coming into the house uninvited" he joked. "Sorry, just looking for answers" said Jonathan. "I've got an idea" Once more Jonathan opened his mind to the universe searching. Suddenly Kristian appeared. Across the room Sebastian, who had been curled up on the bed, screeched and left the room. "Silly cat" said Kristian. He turned towards the two. "You called?" "Nick isn't feeling right but we don't know why" said Jonathan. "It's not like we can go to a doctor or really have a need to. You once told me that your powers extend to healing, like you did that day in the hospital with Nick. Can you help figure out what's wrong?" "I don't know" said Kristian. He walked over to where Nick was. "Let me in Nick" Nick closed his eyes. Kristian stared at Nick unmoving. For 30 seconds, then 45 before he opened his eyes. "I'm not sure what is wrong. There is no actual illness but something seems wrong." He walked over to a desk in the bedroom and wrote down a name, address and phone number, along with an internet IP address and handed the paper to Jonathan. "I think you should probably go to your own doctor with Nick." Said Kristian. "Have him run some blood samples, and tissue sample and send them to this address after calling." "What is this place?" asked Jonathan. "It is a laboratory run by us in Zurich." He replied. "They have technology beyond what is normally available and being immortals, can keep a secret if they do find something wrong as well as probably be able to treat it. Can you trust your own doctor?" "I've gone to him since I was a kid" said Jonathan. "Then do so" said Kristian. He turned to Nick. "I wouldn't worry too much. We can do things that mortals cannot" With that he disappeared. "I wish he would just leave once in a while like normal people" said Nick in a cross mood. Sebastian slunk back into the room growling, apparently echoing the thought. "What do you think?" Jonathan asked as he led them back to the couch. "Want me to call the doctor?" "You never told me where he was from" said Nick. "All I remember was that time in Boston when he flew in." "He's based out of Hilton Head" said Jonathan. "He's actually been my doctor since I was like seven" "Oh" said Nick with a smile. "That long ago" "Easy there kiddo" said Jonathan. "I'm not quite that old yet" "Nope, but we got a ways to go". Said Nick. "I suppose it couldn't hurt to give him a call" Jonathan kissed him and rose. "Perhaps all you need is a good fuck" "Perhaps so" said Nick with a mischevious smirk. "It is a two hour flight to South Carolina" "I'll tell Anthony to pack the lube" said Jonathan as he went into the study. CHAPTER FOUR: Nick and Jonathan waited nervously in the doctors' office. Both knew something was up when the doctor had called on Jonathan's private line the day before and asked to see them after hours in his private office. It had been a week since they had flown back to Hilton Head and gone to see the doctor. Since they had sold the house a few years previously, they had continued on to St. Thomas to the resort to hang out. Nick was slouched in the chair lost in his own mind; as was Jonathan. Jonathan was reliving the not so small nightmare of bringing Nick across to immortality in the mountains of Greece. Something kept floating around in his mind, yet he couldn't put his finger on it. Jonathan was stirred out of his thoughts as the doctor came through the door. "Jonathan, my apologies at the delay" said Dr. Armstrong. "We had an emergency in the office as we were preparing to close down for the day" "No problem Scott" said Jonathan. Dr. Armstrong had been Jonathan's personal physician for years, long before his ascendance into immortality. They had developed a long and close friendship. "So, how are you feeling Nick?" asked Dr. Armstrong. "Edgy I think is the best word" said Nick. He was slouched in the chair, his almost ever present A&F hat slid forward. "The light is giving me a slight headache but OK other then that" Dr. Armstrong made a note on the chart. He came around and sat behind his desk, oddly enough a behemoth of a desk that was a gift to him from Jonathan. "I've got a couple of questions for you Jonathan and I'm not sure where to begin" "Let me see if I can guess" said Jonathan. "You want to know, how I knew to ask for some specific tests, why I wanted them sent to a laboratory in Zurich for analysis and do I know what is going on?" "Yes, yes, and yes" said the doctor. "It's a long story and one that you probably wouldn't understand even if I told you" said Jonathan. "I don't understand the test results and it took two doctors from that lab in Switzerland over an hour on the phone to explain what I was looking at, so I don't think what you could tell me could be that more unfathomable" Jonathan paused with a sigh and looked at Nick who shrugged. He looked over his shoulder at Danny who was leaning against a bookcase. "Make sure we aren't disturbed for the next 15 minutes Danny." Danny nodded and walked to the office door and closed it behind him. "I've never gotten used to him being around" said the doctor. "I think that myself sometimes" said Nick with a smile. "So, what's wrong with me?" "Well, for the most part you are in the most incredible health of just about anyone I've ever examined with the exception probably of Jonathan" said the doctor. "You have the metabolism of someone half your age" Nick snickered at that one. "Yeah, well food and I have always had a good relationship" "Jonathan" began the doctor. "I have this feeling that you know what this report tells me. You want to tell me how you know?" "I don't know per say what the thing says" said Jonathan. "But to answer your other question, I asked you to send the test samples to Zurich because the people who run that lab actually work for me and are the only people who could have run the analysis on those samples." "I understand that Jon" said the doctor. "But they performed tests that only a few people even in the medical field know about. They transmitted a three dimensional moving display of Nick's body on a cellular level. That kind of technology just isn't readily available." "It is for them" said Jonathan, cryptically. "Yes well" said the doctor. "I'm not sure I still believe what it shows" "Tell us" said Jonathan. The doctor punched in a series of commands into the computer keyboard in front of him and spun the monitor around. As they watched a 3 dimensional cross section of Nick's body enlarged and they actually "entered" the body and continued going down to the cellular level where they saw cells being created and at the same time being exploded. The speed of which both took place was staggering and would have been perceived as fast motion if the computer clocking on the screen weren't moving in real time. The doctor stopped the picture. "Well? He asked. "Nick's cellular system is being destroyed on a scale that is unprecedented in both speed and size. I've never encountered anything that can cause cellular destruction on a level like that. What really makes even less sense is that the cells are being recreated at a speed that is physically impossible." "It is really very hard to explain" said Jonathan. "So it that" said the doctor pointing at the computer screen. Jonathan took a moment to think about it. In the back of his mind he had known, but was still unprepared for it. For a moment he looked at Nick. He sighed and faced back to the doctor. "What I'm about to tell you cannot leave this office." Said Jonathan. "No records, No papers. That file on your computer needs to be erased." "But Jonathan," started the doctor. "This is unprecedented. It needs to be documented" "Scott, nothing gets documented" said Jonathan. "No one would believe you anyway and the lab you sent those samples too technically doesn't exist, so there is no proof. Besides, I can make Nick very unavailable" "OK" said the doctor with a strange look. "At least explain what's going on" "Do you remember when I was shot and dying in Boston?" he asked. "Very much" said Dr. Armstrong. "I don't' think I'll ever forget that nightmare or what allegedly happened. I can't believe that the doctors were so mistaken in your diagnosis" "They weren't" said Jonathan. He paused. "I was dying. That bullet was where the X rays showed it to be. I did die. I also came back. Later on, a year or so later, Nick then became as I had become; although through a different way." "What is that?" asked the doctor, suspecting but refusing to believe that something like that could exist. "Immortal" said Jonathan. "Incapable of aging, dying, or being hurt" "That's impossible" said Dr.Armstrong. "I could have Danny come in here and shoot me but that is messy and it hurts. Take my word for it. You've seen the cellular regeneration of Nick. Mine is the same, although without the level of speed or destruction." "This is not possible" said Dr. Armstrong. "Even if what you've said is true, I can't believe it" Jonathan picked up the letter opener on the desk and drove it through his other hand. "Damn" he grunted as he pulled it out. Blood started to flow from the wound. Jonathan first showed the through and through wound to the doctor then wrapped his sweater around his hand to catch the blood. "Are you crazy" yelled the doctor, "Let me have that" running around the desk. Nick stood and stopped him. "It's all right. Give him a moment" As Nick held back the doctor, Jonathan stood and closed his eyes for a moment. First a grimace crossed his face and then it relaxed. He unwound the sweater from his hand. Where a gaping hole had been on both side of his hand with bone and tendons showing, now existed only healthy skin. Jonathan flexed his hand without pain. "I told you" said Jonathan. "Sorry about the blood. It will fade in a moment" "That's not possible" said the doctor grabbing the hand and turning it over. "You must have done something" "Yes I did" said Jonathan. "I just showed you that I am immortal. Incapable of being harmed or anything else. In time I suppose I will die, but we're talking centuries not years" Dr. Armstrong looked at him like he had three heads. "That's, that's.. I don't know what, but it's just not possible." "Can we get back to Nick's problem?" asked Jonathan, sitting down. "There was another part to that test result" "Yes" said Dr. Armstrong picking up the file off of his desk. "The doctors at that research facility did a computer projection of the cellular creation and destruction. The destruction is progressing slightly faster then the creation." "What kind of time frame are we talking about?" asked Nick. Dr. Armstrong read the file again before turning towards Nick. "The best computer projection-and mind you they did this on a Cray Super Computer- is that cellular degeneration and destruction will reach a point of no return in about 2 months." "So, in two months what happens?" asked Jonathan taking Nick's hand. "Even they don't know" said the doctor. "According to the computer, he just stops existing. That's a mathematical equation, so I'm not sure either" Both men sat there in stunned silence. Finally Nick stood and faced the doctor. "Thank you". He turned to Jonathan. "Let's go" The two walked out of the door, Danny behind them. As they approached the entrance to the office, two more agents opened the door. In the parking lot, the Hummers were waiting, Eric by the door to Hummer One. After they got in and were headed to the airport, Jonathan spoke. "I'm not sure what to say" said Jonathan. "Somehow this is all my fault" "No it isn't babe" said Nick, turning in the seat towards him. "We both knew that there was a pretty good chance years ago that the immortality wouldn't work. We've had a pretty sweet time so far anyway. I'm not upset. I told you back then that any time we had together was worth any downsides." "Yeah but" he started but was stopped by a finger on his lips. "Shhh" said Nick. "Not now, let's just head someplace" "Where do you want to go?" asked Jonathan. "The house at Boulders in Phoenix" he said. "Onward" said Jonathan. "Danny, let the flight crew know we're going to Phoenix "Will do" he said, reaching for the car phone. "Anything I should know?" "In time" said Nick. It was a short trip to the airport. Entering the gates, they drove to where Black Spy One was waiting. Captain Hendrickson was leaning against the stairs to the jet as they got out. "Flight plans are filed for Sky Harbor" he said. "Sounds good Don, sorry for the short notice on the change of plans" said Jonathan. "No problem, it's a nice afternoon to fly" said the Captain. He turned towards Danny. "I talked to the crew of Renaissance Two. They are waiting at Savannah for the Hummers. They will fly on to Phoenix and should be there about an hour behind when we land" "OK thanks" said Danny "I'll coordinate things and be aboard in about five minutes and we can fly" Nick and Jonathan boarded the plane and went into the rear of the jet and settled down on the couch. They could hear the crew running through the final check lists and such as the steward brought a pair of Martinis to them. Jonathan nodded his thanks. Soon Danny was aboard; seeing the mood of the two he stayed towards the front of the jet. Black Spy One started moving towards the runway for takeoff. Within a few minutes the jet left the ground and began its' ascent towards its' cruising altitude. "Well, what now?" asked Jonathan. "Sounds like we've got a bit of paperwork to do in the next month or so" "That's the least of the things I'm worried about Nick" he said, somewhat harsher then he meant. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean for it to come out that way. I'm just.. " "Shhh its' all right" said Nick holding his hand. "It's a change in the time table that's all." "It's more then that" said Jonathan his voice shaking. "Come on" said Nick, standing and moving towards the bedroom. "We've got about 5 hours or so, let's go relax." They entered the private bedroom on board the jet. Nick went through into the bathroom. "Be right back" he said. Jonathan picked up the phone and hit the button for the flight deck. When the co-pilot answered he asked how long a flight. "We're airborne for about five hours and 12 minutes at this point" came the reply. "OK thanks, let me know when we are a half hour out" said Jonathan. As he sat on the bed, he noted the lights dimming in the bedroom. Then the bathroom door opened and Nick stood there, naked, damp from his fast shower. "Do you remember that night in Switzerland after you found me in Hawaii?" he asked quietly coming over to the bed. He started to unbutton Jonathan's shirt. "Yes I do" said Jonathan quietly, his cock starting to swell at the memory. "Make it happen again" said Nick quietly, pushing the shirt off Jonathan, kissing him quietly. Jonathan returned, the kiss Nick, his tongue entering and probing Nick's mouth. Jonathan released Nick from the kiss to trail his tongue over Nick's jaw and own his throat. This produced low moans of pleasure. Gently he pushed and lowered Nick to the bed; their bodies never losing contact. Jonathan continued his tongue lower and over Nick's chest. First one then the other he ran his tongue over each of Nick's nipples, gently biting and sucking on them. As they became swollen Jonathan grazed his fingernail over them producing ripples of pleasure through Nick. He could see Nick's solid corded abdominal muscles spasm in pleasure as the waves coursed through his body. Below them Jonathan could see the fully erect eight and a half inch penis leaking crystal fluid onto his belly button. Jonathan trailed his tongue down over each of the muscled ridges, to the belly button, licking up the small pool of precum that had formed there. Taking Nick's cock in his hand he gently stroked it. Nick arched his back at the feelings. A loud moan escaped his mouth unbidden. "Oh God Jonathan" said Nick, his eyes closed. "I love you baby" said Jonathan. He stood and removed the rest of his clothes quickly. A single drop of precum formed on the tip of Nick's cock head, light from overhead reflecting in it. Jonathan brought his mouth down and Nicks' cock head slowly entered Jonathan's mouth, his tongue gently probing the cum slit. Nick could not contain himself any longer. He began slow thrusting his cock in and out of Jonathan's mouth. Slowly the long cock entered the back of his mouth and down his throat. Constricting his throat muscles brought intense feelings to the nerves of Nick's penis. Whimpering at the pleasure he was feeling, he hands clutched and released the sheets. Jonathan finally released the penis just prior to sending Nick over the edge. He continued his trek lower, taking first one then the other of his nuts into his mouth. Nick's hairless nut sack slowly tightened at the onslaught of Jonathan's tongue. He knew that Nick was getting close. He rose and brought his own leaking penis to the edge of Nick's lips. He slowly spread his precum across Nick's lips. After licking them clean, Nick took Jonathan firm cock into his mouth. His fingers found Jonathan's tight asshole and began massaging it, finally slipping one then two fingers into him, all the while continuing to lick and swallow Jonathan's cock. He too sensed that Jonathan was nearing his point of no return. He released Jonathan's cock and pulled him to him. The two lay together kissing and gently fondling each other. Small sounds of pleasure and moans escaped each one of them from time. The urgency of sex transformed itself to a passion; a need for release to a endless bond of love. Their emotions were once more metamorphosed into a single being. Gently trailing through the black hairs underneath Nick's nutsack he began a gentle probing of Nick's tight asshole. As his tongue worked it, the hole clenched and unclenched, finally allowing passage of the tongue. Nick could only moan in total ecstasy at the pleasurable feelings being created. Jonathan began to stroke the stone hard cock above him as his tongue entered Nick. Being pushed beyond all bounds of pleasure, Nick let forth an almost animalistic howl as the orgasm overtook him. His ass clamped down on Jonathan's tongue time and time again as he cum shot from his penis. As Nick's back arched, the first load spattering in his hair and own face. The load continued to shoot, covering his chest and abs, finally subsiding to form a thick pool at the base of his cock, soaking his dark pubic hair in white. Jonathan bought up his tongue to lick the last remnants of the load from the softening penis, sending almost electric shocks through Nick. He raised himself up to kiss Nick allowing some cum to enter his mouth. With one hand he took the load from Nick's abs and coated his own swollen aching cock. Nick lifted his legs allowing Jonathan access. Gently pushing, his steel edged slick cock he entered Nick, all seven inches buried in Nick. The two kissed as Jonathan's hips rocked back and forth picking up pace. As they made love, Nick's own cock swelled again trapped in the slick of his own jism between the two bodies. Nick gently bit down on Jonathan's tongue before releasing it. He lowered his head to lick and bite Jonathan's nipples. Jonathan moaned in pleasure as he felt himself going over the edge. He reared back and slammed himself one last time into Nick. A wave of pleasure swept through him as his own cries were released from this throat. Shot after shot of cum fired deep into Nick. The push of the loads against his own prostate caused a second orgasm for Nick. He pulled Jonathan back down to him as the bodies looked as if they were one. The two slowly came down off the high they experienced. For a long while neither spoke. Jonathan slipped out of Nick softly. "Immortal or not, I think time stopped there baby" said Nick, gently kissing him. "Hmmmm" came the reply, Jonathan's head on his shoulder. Gently Nick reached to the side and found the blanket and pulled it over them. The emotional and physical release having reduced both of them to near immobility. CHAPTER FIVE: The next evening, Jonathan entered the library of the desert house. Comprised of almost total desert stone, the lights were recessed into the stone making for the most unusual lighting arrangement he'd ever seen. The house built after their experiences the previous year at Boulders, they had only been there a couple of times. Nick sat at the desk in the tall backed chair working on the computer. The sunset was starting to turn the mountains brilliant shades of red and gold outside of the windows. "Dinner is just about ready" said Jonathan. "What are you up too?" Just taking care of some paperwork for the hotels. I won't be long" said Nick. Jonathan could only stare at the beauty of Nick. Cargo shorts, dress shirt and the A&F hat he looked like he walked out of a photo shoot. "What?" asked Nick, noting Jonathan was staring. "Just looking at how beautiful you are" said Jonathan. "Pffpt" came the reply. "Go make us a drink. I'll be there in under 10 minutes. I promise" "OK" said Jonathan. He turned to leave. As he opened the door, he heard Nick call his name. He turned back around. "I love you babe" said Nick, a strange look on his face. "Always and forever" "Always and forever" said Jonathan with a smile. He closed the door behind him and went across to the bar in the living room. Anthony was preparing dinner, so he slipped behind the bar and proceeded to make up two bloody marys. The fireplace was lit to ward off the chill of the mid autumn evening. Despite being in a mansion in a the Senoran Desert, the place still had the feel of a country manor home. As Jonathan stood in front of the fireplace sipping his drink, he felt a change of the astral plane in the room. He looked around, half expecting to see Kristian arriving but he was alone. Sebastian remained curled up in front of the fireplace; his tail slowly going back and forth. Jonathan made a note not to step on the tail as he watched it move. He paused for a moment as the feeling went away. Suddenly it came back on him stronger then before. He dropped the drink and went running at a full pace through the living room across the hall and crashed though the door of the library. His speed and mental energy shattered the door off its' hinges and sent it crashing ahead into the room. The sound of the destruction of the door also sent Danny and two other agents on the fly towards the room with guns drawn. Before they got there, Jonathan noted he was alone in the room. His mind opened up looking for Nick. He wasn't there. He opened his mind further to the astral plane without success. In his mind he called out to Kristian who appeared instantly. He also arrived at the same time Danny and the two agents did, who almost drew down on him but were stopped by a burst from Kristian's mind. "Kristian?" asked Jonathan. "Yes, it has happened" said Kristian quietly. He turned to Danny. "Leave us. Now" He spoke in a voice unheard before; ancient, cold, unnegotiable. Danny moved back, taking the two confused agents with him. Jonathan walked over to the desk. There on the chair was the shirt and hat Nick had been wearing. On the floor lay the cargo shorts and the dock siders Nick had been wearing a short time before. As Jonathan lifted the hat up he saw a pile of papers on the desk arranged neatly. On top of them was a handwritten note: "Hey babe" It started. "Tell your lab geeks in Switzerland that all of their technology and computer power was wrong. It wasn't two months, more like two days. It's happening now. Please don't be upset, there is no pain at all. My body is actually dissolving. It would be really cool to watch if it wasn't me.(joking here, smile). I've done all the paperwork to transfer the hotels and bank accounts back into your name. There are also some instructions on the first page of the pile and a couple of envelopes. Please follow them. Don't be afraid Jonathan. I've lived more in the 6 years with you then Kristian has in 900 years. I love you babe." Jonathan looked up as he saw Karen and Anthony coming through the door. "What's happened?" asked Karen Jonathan took a moment to find his voice. Sad and upset, yet calm he replied. "He's gone. This time for good" The FINAL CHAPTER: A few weeks later, in the late afternoon sun of the Colorado fall, the Hummer stopped along the road inside a small graveyard. Danny got out and opened the door for Jonathan after noting the placement of his people. Jonathan got out of the back dressed in black jeans and an Aztec patterned sweater underneath a down vest. The temperature was in the low 40's and dropping. Snow soon, he thought to himself. One of the instructions Nick had written was that he wanted a very simple service with no frills, or dressed up people wailing and crying. He also wanted only a marker in a country churchyard in Colorado. Jonathan shook his head and started walking towards a group of people standing around a covered stone. Only Danny walked with him and at a short distance behind him. Arriving at the group, he looked down at the white cloth covering what appeared to be a gravestone. "Secrets baby" he thought to himself again. He straightened up and looked at the assembled group. Karen and Anthony were there as were Brandon and Mark. Paul was there as well along with about 20 friends of Nick's. "In some way or another, Nick has touched all of our lives here" said Jonathan. "For me he showed me life, and laughter. I'm sure each of you have your own memories. Nick asked that there be no real service. He had an envelope sealed on the desk where he died that said `to be read at my service'. " He also asked that the only music played was one song. He wanted Bonnie Portmore played" Jonathan reached over to where a mp3 player was attached to a pair of small speakers. The lone sound of a bag pipe started. Then the haunting lyrics began: Oh Bonny Portmore, you shine where you stand And the more I think on you the more I think long If I had you now as I had once before All the Lords in Old England would not purchase Portmore. Oh Bonny Portmore I am sorry to see Such a woeful destruction of your ornament tree For it stood on your shore for many's the long day Till the long boats of Antrim came to float it away. All the birds in the forest they bitterly weep Saying, "Where will we shelter or where will we sleep?" For the oak and the ash they are all cutten down And the walls of Bonny Portmore are all down to the ground. Oh Bonny Portmore, you shine where you stand And the more I think on you the more I think long If I had you now as I had once before All the Lords in Old England would not purchase Portmore. As the last strains of the haunting Scottish song faded into the windswept forest surrounding the grave yard, Jonathan pulled the envelope from a pocket in the down vest. It was still sealed. "Knowing Nick, I haven't a clue what is in here, but I guess we will find out". He opened the envelope and scanned the one page quickly. He cleared his throat. "To my friends, one and all: Life is a journey with many twists and turns. I've experienced many in my life. Each one of you has touched my life and left a mark on it. A mark that I accepted with pleasure as that meant you were a friend and helped make my life what it is. I hope in some way that I've touched yours as well and that in some way have helped you. I continue my journey now, on a different level, a different plane. Don't be sad. I've been blessed with a special life and start anew. For everything that each of you have done for me I thank you." Jonathan looked up from the letter. He saw varying emotions cross the faces of the people gathered. For a minute he just stood there unable to find a word of comfort or peace. Then he realized that he didn't need to. Nick had said everything that needed to be said. He found odd comfort in this. "I guess there is one last thing" said Jonathan. "There was another sealed envelope on the desk that night. It was sealed instructions for this stone-" he pointed at the covered grave stone. "I have no idea what it says or what it looks like, so I guess we find out together." Jonathan walked over to the monument and lifted the covering just as the slanted rays of the sun hit the stone. The polished granite marker was about 3 feet tall and 4 feet across. It was of simple design, no marks on it, save for some writing done in plain block writing. One by one, a smile broke out across the faces of the friends gathered there. Finally a snicker, then a laugh followed by others exploded from the people. Jonathan looked down at the grave marker and read what was there: NICK COVINGTON- 1979-2005 "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, martini in one hand and a bar of chocolate in the other, loudly proclaiming Son of a Bitch! What a Ride!" Jonathan shook his head in wonderment before a laugh started in the back of his throat as well. Even Danny, staid and unsmiling in the most relaxed of time, stood there off to the side with a smile on his face. "Only Nick" Jonathan said, continuing to smile. One by one his friends walked past the simple granite marker, some still smiling, some touching the marker with a finger or hand. Finally only Jonathan was left there. As he stood looking at the marker he felt a change in the air. He looked up to find Kristian, standing in the distance under a tree as he had many years previously at his parents' funeral. Dressed in a suit he looked strangely in place. Their minds connected across the way. "Take the time to heal Jonathan. Love your memories, release the pain. Your life is before you. Know what was the past, know what is the present and the future. Grasp the reigns of the present and live your life. When you are ready call out to me, your time is now, the time is here" As many times before, Kristian simply disappeared into the air. Oddly at peace with himself Jonathan looked around the simple country graveyard that Nick had chosen for himself. On the road stood the Hummer, Eric standing by it. Scattered discreetly through the graveyard were the usual contingent of security agents. Danny was standing a respectful distance away. Jonathan's eyes continued to scan across to the far reaching Rocky Mountains in the distance. Once again he felt the air change around him. He looked down to find Sebastian sitting at his feet. The early evening breeze ruffling the long fur. With a quiet growl Sebastian jumped up landing in Jonathan's arms. For a moment the two stared at each other and then the cat bumped his head against Jonathan's jaw asking for attention. Jonathan scratched ears absent mindedly. After a very short time this earned him a light bite on the hand. "Ow" said Jonathan a scowl coming across his face. "What the hell was that for?" "For not paying attention" came back the cat reply as he scampered out of Jonathan's arms and walked across his shoulders. He stopped to rub his jaw across Jonathan's head. "I'll have to make due on my own apparently" "Stop that" said Jonathan with a smile as Sebastian licked his ear. "That tickles" Sebastian walked back down into his arms and gave him a typical cat smile of mirth before back flipping out of his arms to land gracefully on the pine needle covered grass. He walked over to the grave marker and sat before it, almost as if reading it. After two minutes the cat stood, stretched and arched his back. Sebastian walked over to the grave and meowed once before rubbing up against it. He then walked away and began to walk on his own back towards the hummer. Jonathan couldn't help but smile at Sebastian. Norwegian Forest Cat through and through and yet something more. Once more he turned to the gravestone. He walked over to it and in the dying sunlight of the evening crouched down next to it, his head touching it. For many minutes he remained in that position. As the sun left and the first star of the evening appeared he rose, his hand on the stone. "Thank you for what you gave me" Jonathan said, half to himself, half to the stone. "The joy, the memories. Kristian is right. Time moves in the present. I can't live in the past." He began walking to the Hummer. Eric held the door for him. As he got in, Danny asked, "Where to?" "The future" he said. "It's time to put the past behind and live for tomorrow." To all my readers who have loved this story line into creation and continuation, I thank you for your love, patience, comments, critiques and help over the years. It has been over 6-1/2 years-Jan 17th, 1999 since I first posted the very first part of the series. It has been a wonderful ride and a source of great pride for me. Over 2000 emails about the story and some 25,000 hits on the story website... I guess I did something right there. This is, however, the final story of the line. My life is at peace right now. My life and its' energies are for living now, not the memory of the past. I have the most wonderful person in my life now. It's to him I dedicate my life and thoughts to... My lover, my friend, my husband, my equal, flesh and blood, peace and love all rolled up into one. Jon/stonewolf
