Sunshine Chapter 3 Another Beginning I heard a commotion and saw a couple at the desk making a fuss. "What do you mean my son was beaten outside a gay club my kid ain't no faggot lady." I looked over and saw three people standing at emergency room desk. I glanced at Max looking at them with a scared look on his face. The man who looked to be in his early forties was dressed in a suit and tie which looked to be Armani. The older woman was dressed in a designed pants suit. The young girl was of course Liam's sister which I recognized. The older man turned around and saw Max and myself. He strode over pulling his wife with him, like he was lion stalking his prey. "What the fuck do you know about this shit Max and who the fuck are you?" he said looking at me with murder in his eyes. I sized them both up. New money, thinks money buy's prestige. The man is an egotistical bastard who thinks he can bully his way through life. The woman well she was all about being proper and high society. From what I saw the man is not the dangerous one. His motive is straight forward. The woman would be the problem here. She seemed all prim and proper but her motives were not out for all to see. "Gavin Sebastian Cox. I assume your Mr. and Mrs. Evans." I said holding out my hand to shake. "Max what this shit about Liam being found in a dress?" He said after looking at my hand and deciding I was not important enough to greet. "Dad, shouldn't we be more concerned about Liam than that right now." Said the younger girl. "Leeann is right James. We can get to the bottom of that later. Liam's condition is more import at the moment." Said Mrs. Evans. He nodded to his wife. "We'll talk later about this Max. If I find out your in anyway responsible for this and involved in bringing any shame to my family, I'll have you and your father wish you were never born." He said turning around and walking over to some seats on the far end of the waiting room. Max sat down in his seat and signed. I wasn't surprised by Evans reaction. Typical of the rich to act this way. Evans like most wealthy are more concerned about themselves and how things might affect them indirectly than those that are being affected directly. At this point Liam's life was being affected directly. It pissed me off. Why I cared I still didn't know. That pissed me off more. "I'll be right back; I need to make a call." I bent down and said to Max. I walked out the emergency room doors and lit a cigarette and pulled out my phone. I looked through the speed dial and found the number I wanted. I waited listened to the ringing. "Gavin I am about to go to a meeting. Unless this is an emergency I don't have the time to talk." "I need you to go the emergency room. There's a patient by the name of Liam Evans there. I would appreciate if you took special interest in his case." "Gavin, I have very qualified physicians in my emergency room. I am sure your friend is being taken care of." "I'll write a check for whatever you are going to beg for in that meeting." I bribed. The phone disconnected. I smiled to myself and poked my phone. I tossed the cigarette and went back in and sat next to Max and waited. I shut my eyes and dozed. I was still awake enough to hear what was going on around me. I could hear Evans talking about how he wasn't going to have a Fag for a son. "I know you're not sleeping mate." Said the all too familiar voice. "Nope, just trying to ignore that fucking pricks mouth across the room." I said opening my eyes. "He sounds like a real twat, that one." said Bazza nodding towards the man in question. I saw that Max was off to the side talking to Liam's sister. What was her name. I heard it but I don't make it a habit of knowing chick's names. I figured I am gay so unless the bitch has something to offer me which is hardly never. I don't bother remembering. For hours later heard the door to the patient area open and saw Steve Winters come out. He was wearing his doctor's lab coat over street clothes. In all honesty I never understood the man. He was lead doctor of Jeff's' emergency room but ran a small free clinic. To look at him by the way he dressed you'd never know he was a doctor. A hot one at that. He was the only guy I ever fucked over thirty-five. At 42 he was build and looked thirty. I stood up and walked over to him as he stopped by the desk. "What's the word Steve?" I asked offering my hand and got a quick hug in return. "I can't really tell you since you're not immediate family. All I can tell you is, it's bad. Call me." I nodded understanding. I went out the emergency room door and lit another cigarette. I watched through the glass doors as he talked to the family and Max. Evans seemed to be ranting about something. The wife was quiet but I could see by the look in her eyes that she was doing some heavy thinking. I don't know why but I felt that woman was dangerous. The girl was crying into max's chest. Evans turned and said something to Max and I saw Max's face go white. Just as I saw Steve go through the patient area doors I called him. "So tell me all of it." "Two broken ribs, a broken wrist are the minor injuries. We spent three hours removing his punctured spleen and repairing a punctured lung. He took a good blow to the head and there's is swelling. He is currently in a coma. The next eight hours should tell us how bad. If the swelling doesn't increase his chances are better. We'll know more in eight hours." "I owe you. Contact me later what it is you want." "I want my patient to get better so he can name the bastards that did this. As far as the other stuff. We'll talk." "Got ya. Again thanks." "It's what I went med school for and it's my job." He said hanging up. I walked back into the waiting room. I went up to where Bazza was sitting holding a taller Max's against his chest. Bazza looked a bit pale but Max looked paler and had tears on his face. Bazza looked at me. There was that look I hated. The one that said that I needed to do some act of kindness and charity. I hate this shit. I was about to do a great charity if I was right. Steve was probably going to get a state of the art free clinic. I raised my eyebrow at Bazza. Pretty much asking what the fuck did you volunteer me for now. I could hear the whimpers coming from Max as I sat down on the other side of Bazza. He raised both eyebrows. From over the years we had developed a silent language. He was asking me if I knew about Liam's condition. I nodded. Max sensed my presence and straightened up and wiped his face with the bottom of his Tee shirt. I caught a glimpse of his nice abs with a nice thick treasure train disappearing into his sweatpants. Nice I thought. I looked at Bazza and got that look that said; Back off. I smiled innocently to which he shook his head to. "so what did it cost you?' Bazza asked. "Don't know for sure yet but I think Steve got his new clinic." I watched as the Evans's left with the girl being dragged out with them. "Nice family." I said sarcastically. "Only if you compare their parents to the Phelps." Said Max. "They don't seem to concerned that Liam my not pull through." "Leeann told them everything." Bazza said. That's her name. I had been trying to remember it. "Not the best move. So they are just going to leave and not wait to see if he makes it." "Too paraphrase Mr. Evans. He is dead to us whether or not he pulls through or not. I will not have a fag in my family." Said Max. "Leeann and I are forbidden to see each other again." He added. "Sounds familiar." I verbally thought about my own family. The only problem is they have to deal with me considering I have controlling interest in the family business. I really had no interest in it. I just like turning the screws on them when I need to be amused. "Look I need to get some sleep. Can't get laid with bags under my eyes." I said looking at my watch and seeing it was now after nine in the morning. "The only thing that can stop you from getting laid is having every bone broken in your back. Even then my money is on you getting laid." Bazza laughed. "Only if that bone's not broken your probably right. Anyway, junior here's car is locked up in the alley." "Got you mate." Let's go friend." Bazza said putting his arm over Max's shoulder as they left. I watched them leave then went to billing and worked out that I will get all medical bills for Liam. I didn't do this out of the kindness of my heart. Anyone who knows will tell you I don't have one. I did it because I knew it would piss off Evens. I need to find out more about that waste of air. Not much later I walked into the big old mansion. I hated the houses interior but unfortunately I can only renovate and not gut it out because of some historical bullshit. I only kept it because it has been the family home for its two hundred and fifty plus years of existence. That and the fact it pissed the family off that I have it. I parked in the garage behind the house and walked down the open breezeway I had put in between the house and the garage. I did it for two reasons one to keep the neighbors from seeing into the yard and two I hate walking through the unpredictable weather. I unlocked the back door and it opened before I could turn the knob. "Good morning Sir." I looked at Pearson. He was another thing I inherited. Uncle Ken' had hired his grandfather as butler and when the old butler died five years ago I hired Pearson as butler. I saw him at the old man's funeral where Pearson's offered his services as butler. I have to admit the I mostly hired him because he was a hot Twenty-five-year-old stud. I never had sex with him though. Much to my disappointment at the time. "Morning Pearson." I said passing through the door. "I am going to take a shower and hit the sheets. Wake me up at three." I said as headed towards the servant's stairs leading up from the kitchen. "May I remind you that you have a board meeting scheduled for ten?" he said. "Fuck, I forgot. Lay out some closes that will piss off the old man and siblings. I still need a shower." I said heading up the stairs. I was not in the mood for the fucking board meeting. As major stockholder I had control. I delegated authority to the President Jacob Ulster. Jake replace David Spear the old president two years ago when I found out he was trying to manipulate stocks, mostly to the benefit of the old man and brother. I turned him into the S.E.C., Securities Exchange Commission. Jake was the one who tipped me off. So as reward he is now the President of Cox International Trade Investments and Exchange Corporation, or Citie Corp. I stripped and stood under the shower. The jets came out from all sides and the top of the shower. It was pretty much designed like a carwash though made for humans. If I closed the jets and turned a few nobs it became a steam room. I lathered up and a scrubbed off the grime I felt on me. After washing my hair, I luxuriated in the pulse massaging of the hot water on my body. Normally this would instigate a good wank but I wasn't into it. Washed and rinsed I stepped out of the shower and grabbed the towel Pearson had left at some point while I was showering. Most people would be unnerved that someone can seemly move throughout the house and not be seen. Uncle Ken once told me that you can tell a butler is good when he can get his job done and not be seen doing it. I remember thinking, 'yeah, just like a hit man'. I dried off and left the towel on the floor. I looked in the mirror and saw a good morning shadow on my face. Fuck shaving, I thought and went out to the bedroom where Pearson was laying out a Tee shirt that said, `I always enter from the rear'. I smiled. I knew I didn't buy that. I looked at Pearson and raised my eyebrow. "I was shopping and thought that would might suit your taste at times sir." "No doubt but I think today we need a little less direct in your face approach." I said laughing. He returned from the closet with a tight blue tee shirt that matched the preripped jeans with holes in the ass. I decided not to wear underwear and pulled on the jeans. After which I put on the tight tee. Last I put on socks and a pair of timberland boots. I looked at the time I had ten minutes. Like I really cared if I was late or not. Nothing could be done if I wasn't there. I walked down the stairs and grabbed the coffee Pearson was holding. I strolled out to the garage and turned around and went back to the kitchen. "Call my secretary what's her name. and tell her to send a limo. I don't feel like being bother by traffic." Granted it was only a dozen or so blocks but I figured this would piss the old man and his asswiper off even more. I sat in the front room drinking my coffee. Twenty minutes later Pearson announced the limo was here. I handed him the cup and went out smirking. The drive was about thirty. Red hair and grey eyes. Even under the limo uniform I could tell he worked out. I felt a stirring in my jeans as walked towards the opened door. By the time I got in I was hard. I didn't try to hide it from him. I actually smiled and squeezed it as if trying to adjust myself. His eyes lingered where I wanted them too. He handed me the briefcase that Jake made sure he had for me to look over the information of todays meeting. He smiled and closed the door. As we pulled off into traffic and made our way to the liberty one offices of Citie Corp. I opened the brief case and glanced through the contents briefly. Taking note of that a personal message from Jake saying Citie Corp stocks were being bought by ten small holding companies. I knew what that was about. He smiled and closed the door. As we pulled off into traffic and made our way to the liberty one offices of Citie Corp. I hit the intercom. "Are you my driver for the return trip?" "Yes, sir Mr. Cox." "I have several errands to run today. So I will be needing you until about four." I informed him. "Mr. Cox I also Mr. Cox Jrs. driver." He informed me. "Are you employed by him?" "No sir. I work for Citie Corp." "Ok then since I am CEO of Citie Corp, Junior will have to find another driver or take a bus. I hear Septa buses run on the half hour so it shouldn't be too hard." I smiled at him looking back at me in the rearview mirror. He smiled back. I knew this would piss off Junior. Which was one reason I was doing it. the other I was horny for some ginger. "So what's your name?" "Mathew Miller sir." He said as we pulled up to the Liberty One Tower. I waited as Mathew opened my door. As usual there were people looking to see if some celebrity got out of the large silver limo. Once they saw me a few stared mostly because I was a hot looking guy. Yeah I am conceited so the fuck what. He smiled and closed the door. As we pulled off into traffic and made our way to the Liberty One offices of Citie Corp. I took the elevator up to the forty-eighth floor leased by Citie Corp in 1988. Making it the third tenant. I waited patiently as people got off the lower floors. To make it worse some cougar kept hitting on me all the way up to my floor. When she got off at Citie Corp I smiled to myself when she turned to me and said. "listen unless you want to work for some queer the rest of your life, I have a position open that might fir yours and mine own needs." She purred tapping my ass then handing me her card. Tiffany Sullivan. Vice president, Kaltbaum Investments. I went down the hall towards the boardroom. I was already thirty minutes late but who the fuck cares beside the stuffed shirts. I walked towards my secretary glancing at the name plate on her desk Lisa Thomas. Good to know your secretary's name I figured. "Good morning Lisa." I smiled. She looked about forty but was a well-kept forty. Good morning Mr. Cox. They are waiting in the board room for you." "Spitting acid I assume." I smiled as a I poured a cup of coffee. I spotted the Wawa coffee cup on her desk and smirked. "Are you done with that cup?" I asked pointing her cup on the desk. "Let me empty it into another cup." She said returning the smirk. I like this lady. I think she is getting as much out of my screwing with their heads as I am. I emptied my coffee into the Wawa coffee cup. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Mathew smiling. I winked and put a figure to my lips. He agreed to be hushed. I went to the door and lazily opened it and walked in to the board room. There where ten men and two women sitting around the table. At the head of the table was the old man. I strolled up to him, smiled and placed my coffee on the table. "Excuse me you're in my seat." I said politely. "Just take a seat Gavin the meeting is almost done except for a discussion with a representative from Kaltbaum." "They'll wait. I have a few things I want to discuss first. Now if you will so kindly move to the empty seat at the end so we can continue." "If I refuse?" I bent down and whispered; "SEC is still looking for Spears accomplices." Needless to say he moved. I took my seat and sat down. I smiled down at the faces or the board all were forty-five or older. Some looked as if they had one-foot dangle over the hole that's will be their grave. All were frowning except for Jake and the other end of the table. "As Uncle Kenny always said to me when he showing me ins and outs of Citie Corp and that was a lot since I was ten. Never take anything at face value." I said looking at each face closely. "Yes Gavin he had a lot of sayings. Now let's get this meeting over with I have a lunch date with a fraternity brother at one." Said Junior. "You might be missing that play date Junior." I said picking up the first folder then the next finally settle on the third of four. "Now wait one-minute princess Gavin. You better learn to show some respect. I am CFO of this company." Said Junior. "Respect cannot be given when not shown back, was another saying Uncle Kenny liked. One I especially liked was; what a man has, can be taken away a lot faster than it took for him to acquire it. That being said if your done crowing and strutting like a peacock Junior may we continue." I opened the first folder. "I understand that this company is supporting a candidate for president and has made several small donations to his campaign and so to several partisan campaigns." "Yes that is true I thought it with in the best interest of the company to support Mr. Romney a better candidate than the current president." Said Senior. "Who issued the checks?" "The CFO of course. You should know this." "Well I knew nothing of this." "You must have and forgotten in one of your drunken hazes." "Nope. I don't sign anything unless I am sober and Jacob is present. Jacob do we have companies of the canceled checks?" "I can get them Mr. Cox." He said then briefly talked to someone about getting copies of the checks. Senior was looking from Junior back to me and didn't seem too happy at the moment. With as many faults as my father had, the main one being homophobic, he was an honest man. I had a pretty good idea as to what happened. I just had to wait until copies of the check came to be reviewed. "Okay we'll set that aside for the moment." I said placing the folder to the left and picked up the second one. "Now why did we cancel the domestic partnership health plan?" I asked the older woman who was in charge of Human Resources and company policy changes which included health coverage. "It was not cost effective." She replied. "Since when is health coverage ever cost effective? Health coverage is always a drain on a company's finical resources. This company avoided a lot of Union problems by offering better health coverage than they can. Looking at the figures I have gathered here, we are spending close to eight thousand a month more per employee over a three-year span than before. We also will incur and three hundred thousand in penalties for the plan change before it is due to be renewed. How is this cost effective?" I said reading from the notes Jake had provided. She stared at me with hatred in her eyes and didn't say a word. "Why did you change the policy? Any fool can see your reasoning is bogus." "I was hired as the Vice president of Human Resources to handle all situations regarding the employees of this company while keeping the best interests of the company in place." She retorted in an almost threatening way. "You call costing approximately ten thousand men and women life insurance for their domestic partners and the company millions of dollars with in the company's best interest?" "I have worked for this company for longer than you have been alive, if you don't like the way I am doing my job I can always resign." She said smugly sitting back in her chair. "Resignation excepted. Jake let Cigna know we will not be changing the health policy. Also find someone to make the New VP. of HR.' I said ignoring her. "You think I will go quietly you have another thing coming. You may be CEO of this company now but like your uncle your just another daisy." She spat and screamed. "One of the most important things I have learned from uncle was, when you're under the gun don't give them any more ammunition. Jake have security escort Mrs. Wallace off the premises and have her crap packed and sent to her home tonight." Two security came in. "Oh Mrs. Wallace. After all those years of working with my uncle, I am surprised you never learned not to piss off a fag." I said without any emotion. "Oh yeah it's pansy not daisy." I added as she was escorted out. "Now that is solved let's move on." I said smiling as if it was nothing. I looked at the faces around the desk. Good I have them scared. That's what I want. Time to put that bachelor's degree to work. I picked up the fourth folder. "Now who has decided to open up BC Entertainment to the public and sell the real-estate that are involved in the BC company holdings?" "It is one of the smaller companies with little profit. I did an analysis of the company holdings and figured we can increase its profits and not be a drain on the company if we open the to the general public as a private stock option. If we sell off some land surrounding the main part of the entertainment center it will increase profits that can used elsewhere in the company like your domestic partnership health benefits program." The Vice president of Accounting. Robert Towns Esq. I loved it when they used that esquire crap. Pretentious BS title. "You did run this past the CFO didn't you?" "I was told to look it to it by the CFO." "Now Gavin don't get all in a huff over your little play house. I am just trying to make it more profitable." "First off let's get the facts straight right now. BC Entertainment may be the lowest profitable sub company of Citie Corp. However, according to what I reading here it's at ninety percent profit over expenses whereas the rest of the companies are at seventy percent." I looked closer at the paperwork before me. "Cancel the sale of the property at once. You are not to touch BC entertainment. Is that understood?" I said to everyone in the room. Senior was looking daggers at Junior. I don't know why. he hated the club as much as junior. Neither one had set foot in the club. At the grand opening I invited the whole board and VP's to come all showed except those two. Not that I was surprised. They didn't want to finance the entertainment center at all or better said Boy Culture night club, which I have plans to expand it. I admit I was underhanded when I started it. calling BC Entertainment. Not once eluding to it being a gay oriented business. It however quickly became the biggest night club in Philadelphia and one of the biggest on the east coast. We were constantly entertaining celebrities. "Okay now we have that understanding let's talk about this." I said pulling out the contents of the fourth folder. Over the past three months several smaller holding companies have been buying stock. The smaller holding companies are subsidiaries of subsidiaries and so on of Citie Corp. Why are we buying our own stock? Also why are we being so secret about it with subsidiaries ten times removed from the mother company? Another thing is who set them up?" "I looked around the room everyone was looking shocked or acting shocked. The main face I looked at was Senior. He kept looking at junior. Who looked everywhere but at me and senior. I watched as senior eyes narrowed slightly. He suspected the same thing I suspected. I watched his hand ball up in a fist. I decided to poke a little. "the only way a subsidiary holding company can be made by this company is by the CEO, CFO and the CEO's proxy if I am incapacitated for any reason. Since I didn't make them and I am not incapacitated. I think though I can rule out my proxy, so that leaves the CFO. Care to explain Junior?" All the time I was talking I was texting Jake. He texted back that the sub companies had him as main holder. I text back I needed proof. God I love texting best invention yet to date in my book. There was a knock at the door. Jake answered it. he took a folder after whispering something to his secretary. He sat down and nodded to me. he handed a folder to be passed up to me. I looked in the folder. I looked at the copies of the checks and smiled slightly. I had to buy time so I looked up at the people around the table. "Junior why are the sub companies in your name as main holder?" "They aren't just in my name. they have me as CFO of them." I looked at Jake he rubbed three fingers across his chest like an E. "Well then Junior there must have been twenty typos then. Because the documents all say CEO." "That's wrong. There are no documents that say that." I looked at Senior. He was pissed off. I didn't know if was at me or Junior or at the situation but he was getting close to boiling over. At sixty-nine he was still a formable business man. Even though he had little to say in the company's daily running he had personal interest in it. his own fortune came for his law firm that he was just now a figure head for. His law firm handled all the company's legal business. "Miss make sure you get every word of this." I said to the stenographer. She nodded. There was another knock on the door Jake and his secretary exchanged a few words. Jake came up to me and handed me a piece of paper. On it was a list of the subsidiary holding company's all of which also listed James William Cox V as CEO on all of them. I looked up at Junior, yeah I know he is the V and senior is the IV but we always referred to then as such because it's easier. Junior was sweating which told a lot because the air was set at seventy. Which kept it comfortable without get cold. Personally I wouldn't mind sixty-five degrees old but the oldies in the room couldn't take it. I got up and walked the paper down to senior and handed it to him. He looked it over and sat back. he knew what was going on. Technically this was all legal up to the point where junior named himself CEO of the subsidiary holding companies. That's where it could have been construed illegal or at least questionable. "Junior, do you know that you have put this company in jeopardy with the SEC?" Senior said. "More than that. It looks like he attempting to get majority holding and take the Chair." I said sitting back watching him squirm. Senior Nodded agreement. Which was a bit of a shock to me. "You know When you get tired of the way your house looks you have several choices. You either sell it or tear it down and rebuild it." Junior said. "Or you can renovate it and get rid of things that keep screwing up." I said. "I think Junior, that it would be in the best interest of the company that resign." I added. "I am a major stock holder of this business. I will not resign my seat on the board." "Your right son no one make you resign your seat. Though as legal counsel for Citie Corp I do recommend to the CEO that you be fired from your position as CFO." "It was by board vote that I was made CEO. It's only the board that can remove me." said Junior smiling. He knew that most would side with him. "Actually, you are wrong Junior. Six months after you were made CEO. Ken Cox had that changed. The CEO at any time can fire any executive with in the company for any just cause as long as that person receives a check other than from their stock holdings this also means he can hire a new CFO without board consent." "Daddy please don't do this." Junior was now sniveling. "Not up to me. I am sure Gavin already knows he can do it. I am sure he would have fired Wallace if she hadn't resigned first." I was surprised that he gave me credit for knowing this. "Father may I have a word with you in private." I asked Senior. He nodded yes and stood up. There is a mini conference room with large windows looking into the main one. As I passed junior I grabbed his phone. When he started to protest I gave him a look that said to shut up. We went into the small room. The old man sat down in a chair and I leaned against the wall looking out into the main conference room. "Is there any way we can stop him from taking those stocks? Or stopping any sale of stocks?" "We can freeze the sale of the stocks in the subs but anything more would alert the SEC and that wouldn't look good. Citie Corp stock would drop and might take forever to recover." Senior informed me. "How do we get back the stock?" I asked. "Buy it back yourself. From what I can see it will put you at fifty-two percent of the stock." He said. "How fast can we freeze it?" "One phone call from you or the CFO. I don't see the CFO doing it though." "What about an acting CFO?" "If he is give the same powers as the CFO yes." "Will you be willing be acting CFO?" "We don't actually get along and let's be honest we don't like each other much. Are you sure you want to do that?" "Look all you said is true but I know your honest. If promise to leave BC alone I have no problem with it." Senior nodded his agreement. We walked back into the main board room. Senior took his seat and I took mine. Before I could say anything Junior said if he gets fired I'll regret it or something to that effect. I pretty much ignored it. Senior cleared his throat. "As of today if the position of CFO is vacated by James, I will be resigning my position as CEO proxy and legal counsel for the board." There was shocked looks around the table. Junior was grinning ear to ear. The fool thought that Senior was resigning in his support. "James you maybe my brother. Most younger brothers grow up idolizing their older brothers and look to them for guidance. I never did any of those things. That being said I have no qualms in telling you that you are fired as CFO of this company. You will be escorted to your off where security will allow you to gather all personal belongings. You will not touch any computers or make any calls. Once you leave your former office your cell phone will be returned to you." "James IV I accept your resignation in the hope that you will take on the position of acting CFO until a suitable replacement maybe found." "I accept." "You'd turn on your own son for that fag?" "First off that fag as you call him is my son too. Also I happen to agree with him. You over stepped your boundaries." "We still have the meeting with the Kaltbaum representative." Said Jake. "Send her in." I signed looking at my watch. Two o'clock. I been here for three hours. I am hungry and tired of play executive and grown up. The woman stepped in and stopped and stared at me in the CEO chair. She smiled. "I thought I was dealing with the CFO and possibly the CEO." "Gavin Sebastian Cox, CEO." I said smiling as I stood and held out my hand. She took and sat down. "Ok here is our final offer for the property. That of course is going with the assumption that Citie Corp is still demolition of the buildings. I am sure we will be doing more business in the future as we have done in the past." "What property are we talking about. The Walnut street property of course." "What buildings were to be demolished?" "All of them though we would still like to negotiate for the sale of the fa.. the club." "The property is not for sale." "I came here on good faith to purchase that property for my company by the CFO. I demand he be present for this meeting. "First of Lady you don't make demands here. I am the CEO of Citie Corp I make the decisions and I have decided not to sell or do any business with any company that allows their homophobic employees make comments towards any employee whether he be the CEO, which is me or a copy boy. Now get the fuck out of my office." I screamed. "CFO please discontinue all business contracts with Kaltbaum. I am sure there are other companies that are better suited to fit our agenda." I watched as she turned white." Your still here? You have 3 minutes to get out of my offices or I will have you arrested for trespassing. You better hope that elevator is up here too." I spat. "Anything else?" "We need a VP for human resources." Said the skinny procurement VP. "Waste of money. Just let it go vacant until someone less cunt like can be moved up. if that's all I am done playing adult for the day meeting fucking adjourned." I started for the door and remember something. "Those checks are forged with my signature get the money back and put it all behind the president. I don't want a President that thinks are all created equal only if they think like him. Once we get the money back let me know I'll sign the new checks." I walked towards my office, Mathew falling in behind me. "Take the rest of the day off Mathew." I thought about it. Mathew is my personal driver. He is not drive anyone else without my consent I told my secretary, Lisa Thomas. I figure if I say enough I'll remember her name. "Got any Motrin?" I asked my head was beginning to split in two. She handed me two pills. "This playing CEO slash adult sucks donkey dick." I mumbled. That got a snicker from Mathew. "Lisa I need you to keep me up to date with what's going on here. If you could call me daily with what's going on I'd appreciate it." "I can do that. Or, you could just come in every day." She said smiling. "Nah. That's sounds too much like a job and being an adult. I am out." I left the building and walked down Walnut street. It was a distance on from Seventeenth Street to Eleventh Street. It took me about thirty minutes. Would have taken less but the distractions of tight asses along the way were in abundance. I walked in to the main reception of Jefferson hospital. I asked for Liam Evans room. He was still in intensive care. Normally only family could visit ICU patients but since Steve put my name on the list of visitors I was allowed to visit. I am sure he didn't really expect me to visit though. In all honesty I was surprised I was visiting him. When I left Liberty One for all purposes I was just going to head to the club grab a drink and head home for a nap for a few hours. But for some reason my feet carried me here. I don't like this shit. Being concerned about some twink in a dress was not me. I stepped off the elevator and walked down the hall. Towards the ICU. I stopped at the nurse's desk and asked if Dr. Winter's was around today. I was informed that Dr. Winters was the ER Doctor and Dr. Linda Wise was Liam's attending doctor. She would be doing rounds shortly. I went to Liam's room. The person I saw in the bed looked nothing like what I saw in drag. He was still beautiful. Even with the black eye and his head in a brace. His right arm was in a cast from his hand up to his shoulder. His right leg was in an air cast. He had a tube down his throat and had several IV's and monitors hooked up to him. He looked like he was being transformed into a Borg. Yeah I am trekking and I am not ashamed to admit it. Though I blame Bazza for it. I stepped closer and looked down at his face. I had to admit he was beautiful. Ok yeah he was a twinky but Not like I don't fuck twinks. Whoa, was I thinking of sex with Liam? Fuck the kid might not even live. I felt a sick feeling at the thought of that. Ok I can admit the kid has touched me somehow. I just will never admit to it. not like I'll fall in love with him. Love is for delusional twats. I heard a rustling behind me. I stepped back and let go of his hand. When did I take hold of his hand? I smiled at the woman in the white Lab coat. I saw her tag this was Dr. Linda Wise. IM. She was a pretty little Japanese lady. It was hard to tell her age. She was attractive though. "Patients in a coma react to all kinds of outside stimuli. Talking and touching. So don't be afraid to talk and touch him." She said looking at his charts. Then moving to over to flick a little flash light in his eyes. She placed her stethoscope on his chest and listened as she moved it around then on his stomach. She took off the bandage on his side and checked the surgical areas on his side and then the one on his chest. She then dressed and reapplied a new bandage. "So what's the verdict?" I asked when she finished and made some notations on his charts. "Are you his family?" "No, I'm not. I am Gavin Cox." I introduced myself holding out my hand. "Oh of course Steve Winters told me about you and that you're Liam's emergency contact." "Well that's good to know." I said smiling. What the fuck emergency contact? Fucking Steve will pay for that shit. I thought to myself "Liam's condition has improved. We were a bit surprised by that. We had just hoped for him stabilizing. From what we can tell he is still in a coma but we believe he will be coming out of it over the next few days. Once he is out of the coma we will reset his leg and then hopefully he'll be able to go home a few days after that." She smiled. "Thank you Doctor." I said smiling. Fucking Steve. I turned back to Liam and instinctively held his hand. I looked down at his hand then at him and sighed. "What the fuck are you doing to me Sunshine." I said to the sleeping beauty. "He also lost two teeth. Once he is a wake I can send and orthodontist up to talk to him." Said Dr. Wise popping her head in the door. "Don't worry I'll take care of it when I get him home." I said not even glancing up. Get him home? What the fuck, I am losing my mind. I bent down kissed his forehead and left the hospital. What was this kid doing to me? I don't care about people as a whole. I usually just do what I think is right. Yeah sometimes that helps people but WTF.
