He had invited all of the old gang, or at least as many as he could locate: his law office partners Tommy and Ted; Jeremy from the FBI; Carlos; Stuart and Raj; Vince; Tad and Mike; and of course, Ross and "TMGM", Joaquin. Joaquin had not lost any of his beauty in the years since Mason and Mario first encountered him. Mario was not sure if this party was going to become one of the old-style events which he and Mason had sponsored: a wild night of sex and booze. He did not plan it that way; he merely wanted to get some old friends together and enjoy some of the old camaraderie. His menu was designed with that purpose in mind: Mario was not the accomplished cook that Mason had been. Mario cooked for himself, of course, but he simply did not feel like putting together a full spread for a party. He made arrangements with the newest caterer in the neighborhood, because he had heard several positive comments about him from friends. Canapes, charcuterie, crudités, booze, fruit, langoustine, shrimp cocktails, cheese boards, salads, and desserts, seemed to be plenty for Mario. He lit the candles, had swept off and then hosed down the patio, set out napkins, silver, and trash cans, and set up a self-serve bar. He had had to go to the neighborhood grocery to get more booze, because even though he and Mason had always had a complete supply on hand, over the years since Mason's death that supply had dwindled. Despite his disastrous first night in Majorca, Mario was not a heavy drinker; he brought home each of the popular labels of whiskey, scotch, bourbon, tequila, vodka, and gin, and two dozen bottles of wine. He anticipated that he would only drink a couple of glasses of wine, and the rest was up to the individual party-goers to create their own drinks. Ross and Joaquin were the first to arrive: they hugged tightly as soon as Mario answered the door, like old friends always do. Mario thanked Joaquin again for his help with the Prime Minister, and Ross told Mario they might have a job opening for Lina at the gallery if she was interested. The caterer arrived next, and it was as if Mario was having a Deja-vu moment: he was certain he knew this man, or at least had seen him before. Peter Schilling was dressed in black tuxedo slacks, white chef's coat and toque, and was accompanied by his staff of four young men, all in tuxedo pants and vests. Mario showed them the kitchen as well as the outdoor kitchen on the patio, and the bar and the places he had arranged around the patio for ease in serving the guests. Peter was surprised that Mario had spent so much time in advance to prepare the space for the party, because as a caterer he felt that was a part of his contract. He remarked to Mario on that and thanked him profusely. Mario still could not shake the feeling that he knew this man from somewhere. Mario grabbed Ross and Joaquin, leading them into the great room and had them sit on the sofa with their drinks in hand, and wait for Stuart and Raj. He wanted to ask the four friends to provide him some advice. In just a minute or two, Stuart and Raj arrived and followed Mario into the great room. "Please don't answer me tonight but take some time and consider what you might want to advise me: I want the four of you to consider something for me. I am thinking of selling this house and moving to a condo in Santa Monica, near my office." There was a gasp from all four of the friends; Ross spoke first and said "No!" Mario turned to him and smiled, and said, "Again, please, take some time and think about this, I am not in any hurry, so let's just enjoy this evening together and relax, and we can discuss the idea and your advice in detail at a later date, say in a month or so." Mario sat on the sofa next to Stuart, who turned to him and laid his head on Mario's shoulder and sighed deeply. Raj was smiling and asked "Well, will your condo be large enough for the sex parties this house is famous for?" Mario laughed; "I suppose not, but I had not thought about that. Actually, I have not looked at any properties yet, although there are two condo developments within walking distance from my office. If it gets that far, I will want all of you to come and see the condos with me. But you know there have not been any sex parties here since..." he left the thought unfinished. Ross was clearly upset and marched off to the bar on the patio, proclaiming "I need a stiff drink." Stuart laughed and said, "Well in the past that would have opened the door to someone offering something stiff to Ross." They all three laughed, and Joaquin said, "I better go see about him, this is going to take him a while I am sure." Within a half hour, all of the other guests had arrived, but Ross had not re-joined Mario and the others in the great room. Mario decided to let it go, and not pay any attention to the potential drama. He understood the emotional impact; he had actually expected Stuart to be far more emotional about his request than anyone else. The reaction from Ross was a surprise. By midnight, when the last of the guests had kissed Mario goodbye, and the catering crew had finished cleaning and packing, Mario stopped Peter Schilling and said, "Before you go, may I ask you something?" "Certainly." "Well, this was a wonderful evening, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, so thank you for putting this together. I truly appreciate it. I am wondering why it is that you seem so familiar; I feel like I should know you, that we may have met sometime in the past." Peter was smiling, and that only deepened Mario's sense of intrigue; glancing around to make sure none of his crew were listening, Peter said "Well, perhaps you do not remember, but a number of years ago I lived across the highway and came over here to this house to attend a number of your parties with your husband Mason. I was roommates with Tad Olson and a bunch of surfers, and I still have very fond and vivid memories of those times." Mario was blushing; "I'm so sorry I do not remember you, but I guess in those days I never heard anyone's name out of your group. So, you still recall all of those parties?" "Oh, Hell yes, that was the best! I still have dreams about those times." Mario blushed even more; "I don't suppose you and I..." He did not complete his thought, because Peter had taken off his toque and kissed Mario, not lightly, not carefully, but deeply and passionately. "How is that for an answer?" asked Peter, laughing. "Oh God..." Mario was still blushing. Before Mario could recover, Peter, still smiling broadly, said goodnight and turned and headed out the front door. Mario thought "You evil son of a bitch, leaving me here all alone with a raging erection?" He still did not remember any specifics about this charming man, who now, at 6 feet and perhaps an inch or two, ginger-brown hair and sparkling hazel eyes, certainly had ignited a fire in Mario. At 2AM, after tossing and turning in his king-size bed, the same one he had shared with his husband Mason for many years, he decided he had to either get up and go for a swim, or go running on the beach, or take a very cold shower, because Peter Schilling had set his mind on fire and it was not going to get extinguished by itself. Mario got out of bed, ran across the patio and down through the backyard naked, and plunged into the frigid Pacific, swam out for a few yards and then returned shivering to the house. He lit the fireplace on the patio, dressed in his robe and slippers, and returned to the chaise nearest the fire and sat contemplating the kaleidoscope of events he had been through in the past two months. His mind kept returning to Peter's kiss; he had no idea what to do about it, except for the present moment, because of the hardness of his cock every time his mind went back to that kiss. After jacking off, cumming like a firehose, and falling asleep on the chaise, he was awakened at 9AM on Sunday morning by the doorbell. Mario stumbled to the front door, opening it to find Peter Schilling. A foolishly grinning Peter Schilling. A blushing Peter Schilling. "Well, another surprise from the caterer. Please come in." Mario was perplexed: he was surprised, afraid, pleased, and horny, and did not want to open his mouth and say the wrong thing. He merely stuttered "Good morning, what brings you out this bright and early morning?" "Two things, actually three: first, an apology for last night." "Apology for what?" Mario asked. "That kiss. I should not have done that." "Actually, I'm glad you did. I have not been kissed in a very long time." Peter blushed again and replied "Oh, I see. Well I hope you liked it." Mario laughed; "No. I loved it. But it did give me a problem." Peter looked confused and asked, "What was the problem?" "Well, I could not sleep, and finally had to jack off." Peter blushed even harder, and said, "Oh, God, then I really do want to apologize, but..." "But what? I enjoyed it, I enjoyed jacking off, I enjoyed fantasizing about you, and I am so glad you are here. We need to talk." Mario was trying to show his serious lawyer face, but not managing it very well. "What are the two other items on your agenda?" Peter said, "I brought the billing for the party last night, but we don't need to talk about that right now, the third thing is the one that is most on my mind at the moment." "I'm intrigued. Come in and have a seat and let's talk." Peter nervously followed Mario into the kitchen and sat on a bar stool while Mario set up the coffee maker. After setting out coffee mugs, spoons, creamer, napkins, and sweetener, Mario said "Please fix your coffee, I'm going to go get dressed; I'll be right back." In less than five minutes, Mario had returned to the kitchen in a tight navy blue striped tank top and hot pink shorts and flip-flops. Settling on a bar stool he looked at Peter for a long moment: really inspected Peter, up and down, and enjoyed the discomfort it was causing Peter. Peter said, "I'm just going to plunge off the cliff here, and go ahead and ask you, if you might be available for a date some time?" Mario gasped; at least he hoped it did not sound like a gasp to Peter, even though he was certain he had just sucked all of the oxygen out of the room. Peter was staring at the floor; Mario did not say anything but reached out and touched him on the shoulder. Peter slowly looked up, and as their eyes met, Mario was smiling, and Peter began to relax. "No. I am not available for a date. However, I am available for a very long exploration to see how frequently you can reproduce that kiss from last night." Mario grinned. Peter stood up and grabbed Mario in a hug and kissed him again, and this time the kiss was returned ardently by Mario, lasting for perhaps only a moment but seeming to be hours. Mario took Peter's hand and led him out to the patio, and they sat on the chaise nearest the fireplace, where Mario had jacked off and slept last night, and they kissed again. Mario broke their second long kiss, and asked Peter, "If you have time for lunch, perhaps I can give you a better answer." Mario drove them northward along Pacific Coast Highway; the Lamborghini which had been a Christmas gift from Mason years before, was still in perfect condition. They stopped for lunch at a seedy little place which had changed names, owners, and menus numerous times, but they were more interested in spending time together than in spending a lot of money on lunch. They talked for hours over the lunch and the wine; Peter had a million questions about what had happened in Mario's life since the era of the sex parties. Likewise, Mario had similar questions for Peter about how his life had developed since moving away from Malibu. Mario told Peter about Mason's death, about his mother's death, and about his law practice and his travels. Peter filled in Mario about his college experience at Cal State, attending culinary school, his parents and family, his two deeply disturbing prior boyfriends, and his search for a truly fulfilling life. "I guess I have to admit the past ten years have been pretty lonely" Peter finished. Mario agreed: "Me likewise. I have done almost nothing except work since Mason passed away. But to be very honest, I have been terribly lonely. Maybe it's time to change all of that." Peter laughed: "I sure as Hell hope so." Mario was silent: then a thought occurred to him. "You planned this didn't you?" "Do you mean, I tracked you down and plotted how to entrap you into a relationship with me?" "Sort of, although I'm just kidding, but really, how did you find me?" "I didn't find you, you found me" Peter said. "When you contacted me to do the catering for your party, I suddenly remembered the parties from years past, and could not wait to see you and catch up. Everything since then was an accident." "Except the kiss?" Peter blushed. "Yes, except the kiss. But I did not plot that, it just sort of happened. And by the way, you turned me on too; I could not wait to get home last night to jack off!" Mario laughed. "What are you doing this afternoon and evening?" Peter said he had a free afternoon but needed to be in bed by at least 9 PM to get ready for a big day the next morning. He had a wedding engagement party luncheon to prepare and serve, which was scheduled to begin at 2 PM. Mario said, "Well I can certainly make sure you are up and showered and out the door on time in the morning." Peter laughed; "Let's go to my place so I can grab a change of clothes on the way." By the time of Peter's witching hour at 9 PM, when they were holding each other in bed, saying goodnight and kissing for maybe the one millionth time, Peter had fucked Mario twice, Mario had reciprocated twice, and they had enjoyed a soak in the hot-tub and a leisurely supper of crackers, cheese, fruit, wine, and cold chicken wings. Mario fell asleep with Peter's arms around him; he slept through the night without dreaming. The next evening at 8 PM, Mario's cell phone rang: it was Peter. "I'm finally done; Bridezilla lost her mind during the tea and began demanding all kinds of changes for the next three events, so I had to sit through a meeting with her mother and grandmother and sister. The father of the bride had the brains to head out of town the minute the tea was over. Anyway, I'm going to stop by and get my good-night kiss, but I have a terribly busy week coming up, so I won't be able to see you until Friday." "Damn. At least we have tonight." Mario was actually relieved: he needed some time to think about this new whirlwind that had entered his life. "Be careful driving, I'll see you in a few minutes." Mario and Peter kissed passionately in the great room, standing close and hugging; in a moment or two, Peter began leading Mario toward the bedroom. Mario was surprised at first, as he had planned on only a good-night kiss but let himself be led by Peter to the bedroom. His reticence fell away along with his clothes; lying on his back with Peter kneeling over him and his face in Peter's ass removed all resistance. Peter had Mario moaning in just minutes, sucking all of the anxiety, fear, hesitation, loneliness, and longing out of him along with his huge load of cum. They lay entwined together for several minutes, silent, panting, just caressing each other. "When I see you next, can we talk?" Peter asked. "Of course; you don't need to ask permission." "OK, I just want to be clear; that was a big error I made in both of my prior relationships. I don't want to fuck this up." Mario was sleepy; Peter fell asleep first, and in the morning when they both awoke, smiling, they showered together, and Peter dressed and ran out the door, shouting back to Mario "See you Friday, Love." That was a shock.
