Wild Young Hearts- Prelude From the start you should know that this is a story about a relationship. It's not a cheesy love story where they meet each other, instantly fall in love, then live happily together with a few mild bumps in between. This is a reality story, it's about two people who aren't ready for commitment, they both like to have their fun and then go on to the next thing. Neither of them want to be tied down and they never want to settle for monogamy. But ever since they met they have fallen into a strong liking for each other, one that they have never experienced with anyone else before. They'll never admit it but they're turning into a monogamous couple a bit more every day. They even live together, it's not a conventional story but it's a story none the less. The two people are Maxwell Parker and Adrien Richardson. The former being a well to do British advertising executive in his forties, who is the epitome of a playboy (in every cliche sense of the word). He always has a hot young thing on his arm at all times. He doesn't do bad in the dating department, he's a handsome man with his tall stature, salt and pepper hair, and piercing green eyes. It also doesn't hurt that he's rich, but that's really just a bonus. Maxwell is a pretty blunt person, he tells it like it is, most of the guys that has dated know that he doesn't want anything serious. However some have gotten too attached in the past and he has set them straight. But there was one person who got to him in a way that no one else had and that was Adrien. Adrien is a beautiful chocolate young man, in his twenties. He's fresh out of school and is just discovering all the different joys of adulthood and experiencing the freedoms of his sexuality. So naturally he's not ready for any serious relationship. Before Maxwell he was exploring all the different types of men he could find. Then Adrien met Maxwell at an art exhibit which Adrien was the exhibit designer of and they hit it off. Then they started dating, at first they thought they were just going to "date" for a while till they've gotten what they wanted out of that and then move on, but things changed. Maxwell was an exciting new force in Adrien's life and showed him an extravagant lifestyle, the likes of which he had never seen before. And on the contrary Adrien was something different then the other guys that Maxwell had dated previously. Adrien was definitely the type of guy (young, fit, and handsome) but he was also witty, humorous and could actually hold an interesting conversation. They soon started dating more exclusively and doing things as a couple (all while agreeing to keep things "loose"). Then at about 6 months of dating Maxwell asked Adrien to move in with him and Adrien agreed. This was a big deal for both parties because Maxwell had never asked anyone to move in and Adrien because he had never lived with anyone before. This was new territory for everyone, but they made it work in their own unique way. Basically they were like roommates who slept with each other most of the time and occasionally with other people. However Maxwell's friends started teasing him, saying that he was finally settling down. These notions were making Maxwell quite uneasy, he's not one for commitment at all. You'd think that a man in his forties would be ready to commit but he swore to himself that he'd never settle down. Subsequently, while Maxwell is becoming anxious, Adrien is somehow becoming more at ease with the situation. He never thought that he would start to get into a serious relationship at his young age, but it was happening and he was content with it. Now they've been together for 14 months. Maxwell is realizing that he's becoming attached to Adrien. That prospect really started to scare him. Adrien however knew nothing of Maxwell's anxieties and became increasingly more comfortable with the situation. With their opposing views on their "relationship", only chaos can ensue. Author's Note: If you think this chapter's too short, don't worry because this is just the "Prelude" (or the introduction), a little piece to get you familiar with the characters. Also I'm not going to have it narrated in the third person, from now on it will be from the point of view of Adrien or both Adrien and Maxwell (I haven't decided).
