The boy was excited that his family was taking him into the woodlands up north for his eighteenth year. He loved forests and animals. It was his nature, in his blood though he didn't know why. He was strange to the point that he did not go to public school. He was home schooled because he saw things that if anyone else were to find out about they would merely label him as crazy then lock him up and forget about him. However he was not insane. It was not his fault that he could see beyond the veil of realities, see the energies of magick and creatures of different realms. As well as harness them. He was not very powerful as he had little interest in magic beyond summoning the occasional pixie yo be a companion to him or causing his room to clean itself. But all this had to be kept secret. His father knew things, of that the boy was sure. Alas the man would never tell his son the secrets which he kept guarded so closely. His mother though he loved her dearly was not the one who had given birth to him. He had no one to guide him, or that he could ever be himself around. He was alone even when around his family. Maybe that was why he loved nature so much. He could talk to nature, He could do as he pleased in nature. In all this nature would never judge him nor tell him to stay silent or tell him to hide himself. Nature loved unconditionally, and would never say an unkind word to him. Yet she did talk to him in his heart and mind the trees the earth the animals he had a telepathic bond with them. The boy had been packing the small amount of stuff he would need. It was only a vacation so he brought nothing more than clothes. Though his subconscious mind said this was an important trip, a life altering trip. He took a few clothes all goth style his spoke collar and some shoes. Thought he only wore shoes in public. The clothes accented his small lithe frame very well and the style was what he liked. Dark black hair dangled in his face and crystal blue eyes that at times seemed to shine with a light of their own. No sooner had he finished packing than his little sister Ariel came in. Her face was sad, borderline weeping. "I will miss you, Jesse." Then she hugged him tight tears running down her face. Jesse was utterly confused and held his sister in his arms he spoke words in his soft almost musical voice to comfort her. "I'll never leave you, or mom and dad." She nodded to him sniffling slightly. Her eyes said she had more to say but would hide it forever. He couldn't ask her she would not tell him. He had learned when his family wished to hide something the only way to find out was to read their minds which sadly he had not learned to do. Though he had always suspected his sister was clairvoyant she always acted odd before things happened. Something was gonna happen on this trip. Something she saw scared her. He did his best to comfort her then set her down on the floor again and kissed her cheek softly. He would become protective of her now instinctively he wanted nothing to happen to any of them. He grabbed her hand and in the other grabbed his bag. They headed down to breakfast before they left to get on his dads plane. Very soon after breakfast they were off they all packed into the family car and were headed off to the airport. It was a small municipal airport just outside of the city limits where his dad kept his plane it was a small six passenger plane. After they stored their bags they were off it was about a 4 hour flight to the secluded northern forests in Canada where their cabin was. Jesse and Ariel had already fallen asleep in the back of the plane. As he slept he dreamed. It was a nice dream, a dream where he had someone who loved him for himself. Someone who accepted what he really was. It was nice the one who loved him was not human, but a wolf boy. Alas that was fine, neither was he. The dream however soon took a turn for the worse. A woman soon stood over them about to kill the wolf boy, and she spoke to him, "If I cannot have the wolf no one can!" Then he awoke to the sounds of beeps and whirring sounds the plane was crashing and his whole family was unconscious. He could see through the windows intense solid magic energies. Powerful enough to render him unconscious after mere moment after seeing it. He would awaken one last time seeing the broken mangled bodies of his family his little sisters arms locked onto him tight in a literal death grip. He couldn't move and when he tried he was rendered unconscious, once more from a concussion. Daryn awoke from a nightmare. It had started out nicely enough and though he wasn't human the imagination of human contact had made him happy until it turned into a nightmare. The boy from his dreams was so very strange he wasn't like anyone he had ever met. In the dream he felt love for the boy until he turned into the one who had cursed him. She still played with his mind from time to time. The nymph, or fairy. "Nothing like being cursed for being yourself," he muttered to himself. He arose from his bed. His body was still mostly human but the more he became an animal the more he changed. There was no going back he just wished he could stop it. He didn't want to lose his mind because some bitch used what he had inside him as a curse. However without human contact his mind became more animistic each day. His paws hit the floor and he got up. He would have to go hunting today. He threw on some baggy shorts and grabbed a bucket to fill with water. He looked at himself in the mirror before walking out the door. His body was a bit muscular but not like the jocks he saw when he was in school, his tall frame was lithe but tone his black short hair seemed to be emphasized by the black pointed canine ears on his head his black tail wagged behind him as he stood there his foot paws covered in the same black fur of his other canine parts. Soon he was at the door and off through the woods. He had not been roaming the woods long when he heard a loud noise not far off. He stood there unable to move. His mind was all a panic. Should he see if someones hurt? What if its a trick? In the end he decided it was the right thing to do. He came to the sound of the deafening crashing noise. The plane had been torn asunder from the impact in the cockpit was a middle aged man and woman. Strewn across the ground with debris where the plane had broken in half was that of a little girl and a young boy who didn't look to be any older than sixteen maybe seventeen. The little girls arms were around the boy clinging tightly. He checked them first. The boy had a pulse, the girl did not. He continued checking the people in the plane. They were dead too. Only the boy had survived and he wouldn't without help. He pried the girls arms off the boy and carried him back to his cabin. Once he got the boy back to the cabin cleaned up and settled into a bed tucked in and the scratches and bangs cleaned up. He returned to the crash and gave the others a proper burial. He dug for over ten hours nonstop making each one a grave well over six foot deep. After the deed was done he returned home to check on the boy. He was still fast asleep. So the wolf sat the little he had left would have to suffice to feed them until the boy was well. He couldn't leave for long again. He dozed off in the chair again the exertion of carrying a boy of walking four miles one with a boy and digging four graves had caught up with him.
