I do apologize for the extended delay in this story. Since the last posting I have had to deal with the illness and death of my aunt and younger sister due to caner, moving across the country, and taking care of my sister's children. So needless to say time has been very limited. I am hoping to get things back on track and start posting regularly again

Okay, this chapter is based on Jasper's point of view and picks up where chapter 4 left off.

Jasper's dreams were troubling as the information he had absorbed from Simon assembled in chronological order. He saw the full horror of what his father was responsible for. Namely the planned assassination of his birth mate, just because "HE" would not nor could not have a gay son. Jasper even saw the conversation Simon had with his father King Jasper Alexander Gibaldi the II (second). Upon awaking it was quite clear to Jasper that his homophobic father had ordered his birth mate's death.

Jasper began preparations for the day. Seth, one of the royal messengers, entered the room. "Pardon me, Prince Jasper, I have a summons for you to appear in the High Court today at thirteen hundred hours concerning a matter of diplomatic importance."

"Very well Seth, thank you. Can you please have Eric update my schedule?

"My Prince, I mean no disrespect. I have taken the liberty to notify him prior to coming to you as I did not wish to wake you."

"Thank you Seth, you have always been thoughtful and efficient. You may confirm that I have accepted." Following a deep bow Seth left to notify the King.

The day seemed like a normal day for Prince Jasper. He had his studies, combat training, and answering formal request submitted by the coven territories (whether it be for assistance or audience with the royal court). Simon came to assist Prince Jasper in preparing for court. There was a sadness in Simon that was not normal and despite his best attempts Simon would not share what troubled him so. As Simon went to fetch the Prince's crown Jasper heard a whisper in his mind and it was unmistakably Simon's voice. "I will so miss the warmth that the prince brings to my day and fear the queen shall take a death sleep of a broken heart. The king should have learned from his first mistake in ordering the death of the Capetian, sending assassins to kill his own son or his birth mate to protect his kingdom from war and disgrace. Perhaps I should tell the prince the king's plans, for such an unjust king should not remain king. "

As Simon returned with the crown and a tear in his eye he seen the look of horror on Prince Jasper's face. "My prince, have you heard my thoughts?" Jasper nodded in response. "My prince, I am sorry for this to fall to you but you must not let on that you are aware of the plans. The king is sending you on a diplomatic mission to patch things with the Capetian family and if he cannot find your birth mate by the time you are half way to their palace then there is a second team awaiting to ambush your caravan, making it look as a robbery. I understand that my revealing this is high treason to the king but I feel he is wrong in this and that you can maintain peace despite his disgrace." By this time Simon was balling.

"Simon, I am grateful for your trust in me and will keep this in confidence. When I assume the throne I will make sure you are rewarded for sparing my life and that of my mates. I will not reveal my plans to change what has been set in motion, merely so you do not have to endanger yourself further with the king. Know that my father is dead to me now and will pay for his crimes in due time. As I recall I have an appointment to keep to get to and I am sure the king will need your aid."

Simon cheered up some, place the crown upon the prince's head. Then bowed and left the room. Jasper called his most trusted servants and friend, Sebastian Ta'Lorn and Anniston Williams. He gave instruction to protect his mate at all cost, bring him up to speed as he has had no knowledge of the supernatural kingdoms, and provide any training needed. Jasper was able to provided his mate's precise location and advised that they may hear of his death due to a vile plot but will know its truth or lack thereof by his mate, for as long as he lives so do I. Sebastian and Anniston left the palace post haste.

Jasper came to the High court. The doors being of solid black marble were gigantic with engravings with gold inlay that made it look as though they came from Rome. Each door was a single slab that was 5 feet wide, 25 feet high, and 1 foot thick. As he entered the court he was amazed as always at the architecture of this room as it was fashioned in a Greek and Roman design. Just as the doors where gigantic so was everything within the room as it was meant to intimidate those entering and serve as a reminder of the power of this court. The thrones for the king and queen were carved into the wall and the ledge at the foot of the thrones is 18 feet off the ground. The council seating was to the right of the thrones and is 10 feet off the ground. Even the public witness area was 8 feet of the ground. When entering the Court the stadium seating of the public witness area was on both sides of the entrance walkway. Upon entering the Court's Justice Floor one know what it must have been like to be on the stage floor of the Roman Coliseum. As Jasper approached the Justice Podium at the center of the Justice Floor he passed the defendant and prosecution podiums. Upon reaching the Justice Podium he stood looking up upon the thrones awaiting the entrance of his Mother and his soon to be dethroned Farther.

After awating till 13:05 Jasper using his commanding voice ( a trait that only manifest in royal blood ) declares, " The crowned prince hath been generous to accept this courts summon and is insulted by this delay. You have but 1 minute before I depart to my normal duties." The walls and room shook as though an earthquake had struck.

The court's attendant entered stumbling over himself as he ran to his post. "Your majesty, my sincere apologies, I will go announce you it shall only be a moment."

As the court attendant was speaking to Prince Jasper the King and Queen entered followed by the council. The king interrupted the attendant. "Saril, you hath failed this court and angered a royal, your life is now forfeit and at the mercy of the Crowned Prince. What say you Prince Jasper?

Jasper had to keep appearance despite the loathsome feelings he now carried for the king. "Your Highness, I will not have bloodshed this day. I reserve my judgment till there ia repeat occurrence at which time Saril shall be de-fanged and placed on a barely sustainable diet while serving in the royal blood mill for one year at which time he is to be released to fend for himself without any aid or benefit from the Vampiric Nation. This, my king, is my judgment and thus it is royal decree."

The king stood and declared, "Very well Prince Jasper. Saril, you have heard the extremely lenient judgment set against you by Crowned Prince Jasper. It would be wise of you to not further fail this court. Now, let us address the business at hand. Prince Jasper, as you well know the tensions between the Lycans and Vampiric nations have been escalating as of late. The Capetians have requested a peace conference to form a game plan to avoid open war. Beings you were destined to be their heir's mate you have been chosen to represent the Vampiric Nation with the full authority of this court. Do you so accept this task and vow to serve the people in the best interest of all?

Jasper slightly bowed his head an spoke, " For the people of the Vampiric Nation and this court I accept this task and do so swear."

The King sat then proclaimed, "As it is witnessed in this court, so be it, you shall leave by Sunrise and return as soon as able. This court is adjourned."

The King and queen departed followed by the council . Saril bowed deeply to Jasper, "Thank you for your generous judgment against my failure. I am forever in your debt."

Without a word Jasper took his leave. Simon had his bags packed and embraced Jasper as he entered his living quarters.

"Simon, I need you summon my mother to me in a half hours time. Go not as I need to prepare."

Simon simply nodded and took his leave. Jasper pulled out a spell book that was given to him by his Grandmother, Abatha. He quickly found the two spells he had in mind. He took a clear tear shaped diamond that was one carat and attached a mounting clasp. Focusing his energy and stilling his mind he prepared himself. Starting by drawing blood from his finger with a fang and applied it to the diamond. The incantation was simple and once it was completed the diamond look like a ruby. The second spell was called living clone and required his blood and some dirt. Which he place in a container as it took 48 hours to grow. Simon soon arrived with the Queen.

"My son you have called for me? Are you not old enough to go on a trip without a mother fretting over you?" She asked with a smile and she embraced him.

As they separated from the hug Jasper place the red diamond in her hand. "Mother I fear I have uncovered a plot against my life and do not want your worried about me. I have enchanted this clear diamond with the life source spell. Regardless of what you hear, as long as I live this stone shall be red, should I take heavy injury it will become sapphire. If the diamond returns to clear then and only then will I be dead. The villain of this plot is known to me but I cannot say who as it would place you in danger as they are within the palace. You must keep this a secret to all including father as the person is in our court. I would recommend even going to the extreme of morning and using the Mock Death sleep spell when you receive word of my death. The reason for this spell is that you can remain in the spirit realm and observe all around you then wake when I return or when you see fit. I know this is harsh but I have a plan to deal with this traitor but need the time to execute it as I will have my mate with me at that time." Jasper hugged her again as she started to cry.

"Though I am not fond of this I do trust you and will do as you have requested. Just promise me that I may have a hand in punishment and demise of this traitor." She asked.

"Mother, I do so promise."

The queen placed the diamond on her necklace then left Jasper's living quarter. Jasper finished his arrangements and was on the road before sunrise. There was a security force of 10 guards that were traveling with Jasper.

The trip would take a several weeks as there were planned stops at different consulates to visit along the way. As they neared the location the ambush would be set Jasper activated the clone and slipped away from the caravan.

There was one thing no one but two other people knew about Jasper and that was his true speed. A normal vampire can move fast enough to avoid detection but any human senses but never fast enough to avoid a vampires senses yet oddly Jasper could. There had never been a recorded instance of this phenomenon before. Jasper naturally used this to his advantage.

Jasper witnessed the massacre from a distance. There were 20 bandits and all fell and there was only one guard that survived. The guard took the body of Jaspers clone that had the heart removed and was decapitated covered it in sheets, preparing the body for transportation. He had failed to protect his prince but he was determined to make sure the prince had the burial he deserved. Once he had left Jasper searched the remains of the bandits looking for evidence and sure enough on one he found the decree and pardon of actions written and sealed by the King himself. This was better than Jasper had hoped for.

By the end of the same day Jasper arrived in Carpethia the capital of the Lycan Nation, a full week ahead of schedule. As he approached the Capetian's Manor he was awed at the simplistic beauty of it. The elegant buildings were all of a very open floor plans. Natural and frosted glass was 90% of the building material. There were gardens that were well cared for and then of course plenty of trees and a very large forest in the back.

Jasper had made a point of dressing plainly. When he approached the entrance to the Manor the guards asked what his business was.

" I am the Crowned Prince Jasper Alexander Gibaldi the III of the Vampiric Nation here in response to the request of thy King and Queen. I know I am here ahead of schedule but need to speak with them as soon as possible."

"HA, you expect us to believe you? Why your are just a common bloodsucker. Go on not about your business before you become intimate with our jailer." Scoffed the Guards.

Jasper was outraged to say the least. Jasper decided he need to make a point so used his commanding voice. "Thou Fool, I demand audience with the royal court immediately and I may yet let you live."

The walls trembled and the guards lost their footing several glass walls shattered nearby. The King was quick to arrive at the gate. He asked the guard what just happened. The guard responded, "Sire, there is just a common blood sucker, sorry vampire, that claims to be Crowned Prince Jasper Alexander Gibaldi the III of the Vampiric Nation here in response to your request. He has no royal look and we told him to go on his way and he did this damage with his voice."

The King was clearly angered and back handed the guard so hard it broke his jaw. "How dare you insult any one at my gate. If I am requested at the gate you get me and let me judge their worth or Identity. I am your King and you are not above me." The King looked down and seen Jasper in common clothing. "Young man, can you substantiate your claim to be the crowned prince?"

"Your Majesty, I can provide proof but will need you to come down where you can see it as it is etched in my skin. My caravan was ambushed earlier this day and am believed dead but it is due to uncovering a plot set against me. In this proof I offer you I can attest that Stephen Reginald Capetian, My Birthed mate yet lives." With saying this Jasper removed his shirt and sank to his knees placing his hands behind his back. He raised his face to the sky. This was all to show his lack of ill will as he made himself prone and vulnerable.

The King and two guards with arrows drawn came through the gate. As the King approached he could see the jeweled crest in the chest of Jasper. It was clearly his family crest with the Gibaldi Crest. The king hit his knees in tears and embraced Jasper. As they stood the guards lowered their arms. And Jasper apologized for the damage his commanding voice had done. Explaining what provoked him to use it made the king furious and called for the guard.

"Rylan, you have embarrassed this court and hereby stripped of your title, possessions, and belongings provided by the court or that you have acquired with the wages paid to you by this court. For your Insult you are hereby enslaved and gifted to Crowned Prince Jasper whom you have insulted. Your quality of life will be at his sole discretion from this moment forth."

The guard was stripped nude in front of the court and removed for processing. The King explained to Jasper that they do not condone slavery but it is used a punishment for sever crimes as to a wolf the loss of freedom is the most extreme fear and punishment. Jasper thanked the king for the gift as he did not want to insult him. The king showed him the room they had prepared for him.

At dinner that night Jasper related his situation, and his dream fastings with Stephen to his gracious hosts. "Your Majesties, I must be frank as there is no way to sugar coat this. My Father is the one who is responsible for the kidnapping and attempted murder of your son, my birthed mate, also for the attempt on my life in a last attempt to kill Stephen. I was made aware and used a magically created clone to fake my death till the time is right to exact revenge. I have my two most trusted servants standing guard and training him. He has had a hard life but we can change that soon. We are but 2 weeks away from the completion of what my guys can do for his training and will need to follw up with you. I would like to stay here till we can formally bond then we can reveal our hand against my father. We should still hold the peace conference and put in the paper work that the dethroning of Jasper Alexander Gibaldi the II and that he pay for his crimes against the Capetian Royal court, and his own son."

The king and queen readily agreed. There were terms reached in the peace conference and word was sent out to the Lycan Nation to stand down and any aggressive action to any of the Vampiric Nation would be seen as an act of war against Capetian Royal court.

Prince Jasper, King Stepheno, and Queen Diana dressed in full royal attire. Stepheno and Diana was impressed as the clothing Jasper requested from their tailor made him look stunning. It was time at last. Before long they arrived with 2 flanks of guard at the residence where Prince Stephen had been residing. Jasper anxiously approached the door and Knocked...
