Also, this story may contain acts of a gay sex so if this offends you: 1) How the hell did you come to be reading this anyway? Is there something you want to tell me? 2) Don't be such a homophobe...we are still people! 3) I suggest you leave now and find help. Authors Note: Ok, this is my first attempt at this kind of thing so please bear with me. If you are looking for something that you can get off to quickly then I suggest you move on because although this will have sexual elements, I intend it to be more of a story. Enjoy :-). ************************************************************** Mages of Cornelia Part 1. "We are gonna beat you so bad you fucking faggot!" "Yeah, you are gonna wish you were never born." "I'm going to turn you in to a bloody mush!" "Ha ha ha. You picked the wrong queer to pound on, you freakin' idiot." Marcus was surrounded by 6 men between the ages of 19 and 30 and all of them were holding knives, pipes or other such weapons but he wasn't remotely bothered. This would be child's play for him. Jake, the leader of this motley yet, under normal circumstances, rather menacing crew was starting to get a bit concerned. Here they were putting on their best show of force with weapons (and faces) that would normally scare the crap out of a fully grown man and this guy was almost laughing at them! "I am going to quite enjoy this, after all, a violent homophobe like you Jake deserves everything that is coming to him" laughed Marcus. `What the fuck?' thought Jake. How does he know my name...and what does he mean `coming to him'? Was that a flame? No, where could it have come from??? "Enough of this" yelled Jake, seriously ruffled now, "Get him; he is just a fucking fairy!" "Close, but no cigar" replied Marcus as he floated four feet into the air and a perfect orb of flame appeared above his upturned hand. "What the fuck is that" yelled one of Jakes lackeys. "What? You don't like fire? Ok, try this" said Marcus and the orb of flame instantly turned into a sphere of ice which he hurled straight at the stricken man. With a resounding thud he was thrown against the wall behind him with a bleeding wound in his left shoulder. The rest of the men faltered for a second and then rushed Marcus with renewed anger fuelled by their fear. Marcus sent a blast of flame towards one, instantly setting his clothes alight and with his other hand called down a bolt of lightening which struck a third man, stopping him in his tracks. However, before he could hover high enough into the air, the final three men grabbed him by the feet and dragged him back out to earth and started punching and hitting him with pipes. He crouched in to a ball and put his arms round his head. Jake and the other two men took this as him trying to protect himself but nothing could have been further from the truth. Under his breath Marcus was rapidly muttering a stream of words he had recently learned. As he came to the end of his incantation he burst up to his feet and thrust out his arms upon which energy he had been summoning dispersed like a shockwave, knocking his attackers and giving him an opportunity to escape relatively unscathed! ********************************************************************* Two years earlier: "Marcus...Marcus, get up you lazy wretch" yelled Aunt May. Marcus groaned as he was forced in to consciousness by his less than loving legal guardian, Aunt May. His parents had died when he was only two years old in a car accident and since then he had lived in a pokey attic room in his Aunts house being treated like a slave. He was not unduly unhappy with his life, after all, he knew no better but he knew there were things his school friends had that he didn't. He couldn't complain though. Aunt May was his only living family and she had been gracious enough to house and feed him for the last 14 years. Marcus, 16, was quite tall for his age at 6"1', he had dirty blond hair, the most gorgeous, piercing blue eyes that seemed to melt your very soul and he had a good body. He wasn't exactly muscular but he had good potential with no fat on him and a nice solid bone structure. A lot of the girls at his school had told him he was attractive and a lot of them lusted after him but he wasn't remotely interested. He couldn't explain it but they just never seemed to do anything for him. However, just recently he had found he was become more and more interested in how his male friends were developing. There was nobody in particular but the highlight of his day had become showering after PE with all the guys. His school still had one of those old fashioned shower rooms that was just a tiled room with a load of shower heads sticking out of the wall. He had watched over the last few years as his classmates developed from young boys into the stages of adolescence. He had been a very early starter. By fourteen he was 7.5 inches long and he already had a full bush of hair above his crotch with a trail leading up to his navel. He had been teased by many of the boys in his class for being so developed but unbeknownst to him, many of those teasing him dreamed of wrapping their lips round his meat. "Marcus, will you get up, the parlour needs cleaning!" "Yes Aunt May" he replied. He quickly got out of bed and threw on his clothes and rushed downstairs to start cleaning the parlour. Being a Saturday, Marcus was allowed to go out to town once he had finished all his chores so at two o'clock he collected his meagre allowance from Aunt may and started the ten minute walk in to town. He was in the process of encouraging the muscles he knew he had lurking under his skin so he headed over the local pool to do some laps. Having done his laps he went into the changing room to shower and dress before heading to the mall. He was just finishing off in the shower when he heard a strange noise coming from out in the locker room. He thought nothing of it, assuming it was just another member getting changed or something but just as he was turning the water off a head became visible in the steam ahead of him. Assuming it was the man from outside he smiled and made to leave when something happened that seemed to disable every muscle in his body. "Do you know who I am Jake?" asked the man as he started to move towards Jake. "I...er...ummm....I don't thi...OH HOLY CRAP!!!" was all Jake managed. "What is it? What's wrong Jake?" asked the man. "Wh...wh...where is...the rest of you?" Jake stuttered. As the man was walking towards him Jake had realised that this head has no body. It was just floating in mid air with now support whatsoever. "What?" asked the mans head, looking down. "Oh blast, not again. Excuse me a second." The head closed his eyes and seemed to vibrate and suddenly disappeared. Jake blinked, blinked again and then pinched himself. "Must have imagined it" he thought and made for the exit but just as suddenly as it had left, the head reappear ed preceded by the same rattling noise Jake had heard before. This time, however, there was a body attached. It was now that Jake was able to take in what this man looked like. He was old, possibly around 80, with a long grey beard and wispy grey hair but he had a very young looking face. He had no lines or wrinkles and his eyes were bright and alert. He wore a long white Roman style toga with sandals on his feet. "Sorry about that, it has been happening more and more recently. Anyway, where was I?" said the man. "I...you...umm...how...but...huh?" "Oh do stop dithering lad, its not very becoming...and close your mouth. Right, my name is Dominic and I am a Mage from Cornelia. I have been sent to collect you." Jake shook his head. "Ok slow down. Where is Cornelia, how did you do that thing with the head, how did you appear out of nowhere and what the hell do you mean 'collect me'?" asked Jake looked decidedly white in the face. "Did you mother not explain all this to you?" asked Dominic. "What does this have to do with my parents? Besides, they both died in a car crash when I was two" replied Jake. "Oh my yes, how could I forget...wait, what did you say? A car crash! WHO TOLD YOU THAT?" demanded Dominic, visibly outraged. "Aunt May, my Guardian." Dominic was fuming, his face had turned a deep purple and there were veins popping out of his temples. "Come Jake, we must go" and with that, Dominic disappeared. "Er, Dominic?" said Jake, feeling extremely stupid for talking to an empty room. A few seconds later he thought he heard a very faint "Oh blast" and Dominic reappeared, grabbed his arm and then he felt a stomach wrenching, falling sensation which lasted for about ten seconds and then he stopped. This sudden stop caused his legs to give way and he fell flat on his face, much to the amusement of Dominic. "Oh, sorry, I should have warned you about that" he chuckled. Once Jake had recovered from the experience he could not yet identify he was able to establish where he was. He was sanding in the centre of a large room with paving stones on the floor and white, uneven plaster on the walls. The whole room was lit by candles and a fire roaring in a huge grate to his left. There were portraits of many old men on the walls in frames that looked like they had been made hundreds of years ago. He looked down at his feet and saw that he was standing in a chalk circle surrounded by a series of strange symbols. Dominic noticed his confused stare at the ring and simple said "All will be explained in good time". With that he set off at a brisk walk towards the only door in the room. Jake followed quickly trying to take in as much of his surroundings as possible should he need to make a break for freedom. As he followed Dominic out of the building he couldn't help noticing a lack of many staple items such as lights, cars or even glass. "Dominic, why is everything so old?" he asked. "Ha ha, I was wondering when you would ask that. We have no need for all of your fancy new inventions here on Cornelia. We are happy just the way we are." "Wait, what do you mean `on Cornelia'? Are we on an island? What continent is this and how the hell did we get here?" "All in good time Jake." "NO, NOW. For all I know you have just taken me half way across the planet in less than a minute, I first saw you when you apparated in front of me and the local population appear to be have ignored all of societies latest inventions, including a decent sewage system!" Jake almost yelled, having just walked past what looked like a large pile of manure. "Evidently your parents did not have enough time to explain your heritage to you before they died. Come with me and I will do my best to explain." Jake and Dominic had stopped in the middle of the street and now Dominic took them down a side road that appeared to lead out of town. In a few minutes they had come to a series of small hills. "Jake, do you know who you are?" "What do you mean? I am Jake Hudson." "No you aren't. Yes your name is Jake, but you are not a Hudson and Aunt May is NOT your Aunt. She is...an operative i suppose, of the royal family here on Cornelia...I will explain momentarily about where here is...who we placed in your society to monitor your progress there." "Monitor OUR progress?" Jake asked incredulously. "Look at this place; it looks like Rome in 400BC. How can you possibly be monitoring our progress?" "Will you let me finish please? I will get back to `Aunt may' shortly. First I must tell you who you truly are. Do you see these hills? They are the burial mounds of our royal family who live in a Palace over that hill away from the commoners. That one at the end was built for a King and Queen called Rex and Julia Stronghammer. However, they were killed in foreign lands and their bodies were never found so their tomb has been turned into a shrine for them. Jake, they were your parents. Your real name is Jake Stronghammer and you were the Prince of Cornelia when your parents died." Dominic let this sink in before he carried on. "You see, for the last 18 years and evil woman called Angelique has been trying to overthrow the royal family by killing them, imprisonment or uprising. When your parents realised you were in danger 14 years ago they took you to the area you know as Sussex but Angelique had two of her agents follow you and just after you were delivered into the protection of Agent May they were attacked and killed. Since then Angelique has ruled this land with a harsh hand and the poorer classes can't take it any more. We have bought you back to Cornelia to put this to rights." "Hold on, firstly, if you knew Angelique was responsible for the death of the royal family...my family. Why didn't you go to the government? I am sure the House of Lords and Commons would have done something about it! And secondly, WHERE IS THIS CORNELIA?" "I will answer you second question first as this will explain the answer to the first. Cornelia is not exactly what you would call accessible to your...the British Government or any other on earth for that matter. You see, Cornelia is not an island. It is a planet." Note: Ok, what did you think? Not much happened yet but I promise it will. All feedback welcome and eagerly awaited (including structured criticism) at magesofcornelia@hotmail.co.uk.
