I looked him dead in the eye, and got his attention. He just got a little smirk on his face and nodded at me. OK, this is getting weird. Can the guy read my mind? He spoke, "Yes, I can read minds, my species is telepathic, and yes I would love to be your first." And now for Chapter three: I didn't know what to say or even think at that time. I was totally floored, and he saw it too. The very next thought that popped in my head was, of what we might could do with each other, and that even made him blush. "We'll have to wait and see, on that one." He said. I don't think I could have turned a brighter shade of crimson at that moment in time. I just looked at him, what else could I do? I asked him, "You said your not from this planet, right?" His reply was, "Yeah?" Then I asked him the all important question, that all science fiction nuts think of, yes I'm a sci-fi nut, "Where are you from?" He sat there in intense thought for a couple of moments, and said "Well, your astronomers haven't even found the galaxy I'm from. In your terms, I am from clear across the known universe. My galaxy is about 1 million of your lightyears away. I know your wondering, how long it took me to get here? Let's just say, in a blink of an eye." I sat there with a blank look on my face, trying to absorb what I had just learned. "For now, I think that this has been enough talk about me. Let's get you home, and I'll talk to you in a couple of days." I was unable to move. I was numb, trying to understand what I had just been told, I just couldn't move. He came over to me and wrapped his arms around me. At that moment, I felt calm, and relaxed. I don't know if it was his "gift" that was doing it to me, or if it was just being so close to someone that was that good looking, I'll never know. I was able to rise to my feet. We then, started back to my house. We had walked all the way to the river, which is at least five miles from my house, so it was a little walk to get back. All through the walk, my mind was a jumbled mess. "What am I supposed to think?" I kept asking myself. On the way back we just chit-chatted about little stuff, like, how my school life had been last year, if I had any interest in any of the guys at school. Of course he already knew the answers before I spoke, but I told him anyways. I did ask him if he was with anyone, and to my suprise, he said no. When he said that, my mind started kicking into overdrive. I immediately had to stop the line of thinking I was going towards. I just knew if I continued, I would be lusting after Rick, and I didn't want that, just yet. So I shook the idea out of my head and continued walking towards my house. It took us about 45 minutes to get back to my house. Once we got back, we just stood in silence outside, why? I don't know. "I know what I've said is a lot to take in right now, so here's my card, I'll be back in a couple of days. If you need anything, call me. Anytime. I'll be here faster than you can blink an eye. Oh, by the way, tomorrow, you should tell your parents your gay, they already know, but they just want to hear it from you. Yeah, they'll be a little upset, but, they love you." The look I gave him, was one of complete terror. "Trust me on this one." With that, he got into his car and backed out of our driveway, and left. I just couldn't even fathom how he knew that my parents would be ok with me being gay, I was just terrified. Then it dawned on me. He had read their minds. So I went inside and went to my room. Now, my house isn't big by any stretch of the imagination, but it isn't small either. My parents are decent middle class people, my mom works at the local hospital and my dad has his own business in town. So we live a comfortable life. That night at supper, my parents noticed I wasn't acting like my normal self, and asked what was going on. I told them I would talk to them about it the next day, and it was left at that. The rest of the meal was ate in silence. After supper, I helped clean up and then went to my room. My room wasn't very big and had little in the way of decorations in it. I couldn't even hang any posters, my dad had said no holes in the walls, so there goes that idea. I had been in there for about an hour when an knock came at my door. It was my mom, "come in" I said. She slowly walked in. "I know something is bothering you, I was just wondering if you might want to talk about it." She was always someone I had always felt safe with. Yeah, if I crossed her, she would give my butt a good paddling, but I usually deserved it. I looked up at her with tears in my eyes. She came over and sat down on my bed beside me and took me in her arms. I always loved that feeling. I looked up at her and smiled, knowing that everything would be ok. "Mom, your are right, something is bothering me," not knowing how to continue, I just got to the point, "I know you love me and always will, I've just been a big disappointment to you and dad, and I guess I can add one more to that list. I'll never be able to give you the grandchildren you always wanted from me. I'm gay." I just burst into tears at that time. I couldn't help it. She just sat there silently. Rubbing my back, trying to comfort me the best she could. "I've known for some time you were different. You have always been so special. I've know for sometime that you didn't like girls in that fashion. But your father and I still love you, no matter what." I knew at that point her love for me was unconditional. It was at that point I told her about Rick. How he had come out to me. How he knew I was gay, and how I shouldn't wait to tell them about myself. She understood. I told her, that even though he was alot older than I was, I felt oddly attracted to him. She gave me a concerned look and said, "I don't think that it's a good idea for you to get romanticly involved with someone his age." I knew she was right, but I just felt something was there. What, I didn't know. At that time. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Thus concludes Chapter 3. Hope you liked it.
