When he entered Peabody's Park, he was amazed. You would never know it was Mars from a photo of it. There were trees scattered around. They were short, but they were trees. There was grass on the ground along the path. He saw a bird fly by and then heard several. He saw a group of brightly colored flowering plants. He saw a bench alongside the path. He could still see a lot of rock, and there were walls, but it was beautiful. Another bird flew by. Beautiful and alive, he thought. He walked down the path and saw Mun. "Mun, it looks great!" "I know. It's very exciting. If you don't look at the walls of the cavern, you would think you were on Earth. Pon plans to have plants growing on the walls, so it will seem even more Earthlike. It has turned out better than any of us had hoped." Three birds flew by them. "It looks like the birds aren't having any problems due to the gravity." "No. It doesn't seem so. When Peabody woke up the next morning, Lan was gone. He sat up as Lan walked into the room. "Good morning, beautiful." "Good morning. I love you." "Umm. I love you, too." Lan got in bed. He moved to the foot of the bed and Peabody grinned and pulled his legs up. Lan pushed inside him and began fucking him. "Yes! Lan!" Lan rolled him onto his stomach and he continued fucking him. "Yes, my love!" Gradually, the bed started shaking. "Harder, Lan, harder!" Lan fucked him for several minutes before grabbing his hips and pulling his butt off the bed. He continued thrusting while his fifth hand stroked Peabody. He thrust hard and came. He barked as an intense orgasm almost overwhelmed him. And then it didn't end! His orgasm lasted at least twice as long as usual. "Fuck, Lan! I'm coming!" Lan felt Peabody's hole convulsing around him as his orgasm began to end. Finally, Lan softened and slipped out of Peabody. He rolled over on his back. Peabody climbed on top of him and kissed him. Peabody lifted his head and they both said, "My love," at the same time and laughed. "Go back to sleep, Lan. I need to take Oscar out." "You'll come back?" Peabody laughed and said "Where else would I go?" "No. I meant to bed." "Yes." Lan closed his eyes. He tried to figure out why his orgasm had lasted so long. He wondered if he had two eggs ready and they came out sequentially during his orgasm. He slept a lot the day before. He thought that might have something to do with it. Peabody used the bathroom and walked into the kitchen, followed by Oscar. There was coffee, but Lin wasn't there. He got Oscar's leash, plastic bags, and paper towels. He put Oscar in the cloth carrier and hung it around one shoulder. He walked to the ladder that led to the cavern. Peabody climbed down the ladder to the cavern. He walked Oscar who was unhappy again that he couldn't drink the water. "I know you want to drink it, even though you have a full bowl of water at home. Well, you can't." They left the cavern and returned to his room. He got some chips from the kitchen and he opened the refrigerator for the first time! He laughed when he thought about that. He started to feel guilty then. He hadn't so much as lifted a finger while he had been on Mars. His mates were working themselves sick, and he was sitting around. Then he sighed. He would get sick again if he did try to help them. Having kids was an important job, so he decided he was doing his share. Lan walked into the kitchen. "What are you doing?" Peabody looked at him. "Looking in the refrigerator?" He laughed. "Or is it a trick question?" "What would you like to eat?" "Oscar's dog food tastes terrible. I don't want any more of it, so human food definitely." Peabody laughed at the expression on Lan's face. "I'm kidding! I thought I would have a snack." Peabody wrapped his arms around Lan. "How about nachos, big, studly alien?" Lan bent down and kissed him. Then he got to work. A few minutes later, Lan placed a plate of nachos in front of him. Peabody shook his head. "You are a walking wet dream and you can cook. I have to be the luckiest person in two galaxies." "No. I am the luckiest. I think you will have to settle for seventh." Peabody smiled at his lover while he tried one of the nachos. "Wouldn't NASA be shocked to know that beings eat nachos on Mars? Do you think we should put a plate of them in front of one of those little robots?" "It would probably prefer batteries," Lan said. Peabody laughed. "We haven't found signs of life, but we know they like Mexican food," Peabody announced, laughing. "Why don't you go back to sleep? I think I will take Oscar to the pool. He hasn't seen it. I won't get in, so you don't need to worry about me." "Promise?" "Yes. I have no desire to drown, believe me. Besides, I just ate and it isn't a good idea to swim right after eating." "Why?" "You can get stomach cramps. Actually, any kind of exertion after a full meal can cause them." "I don't need sleep, but I have work to do." Lan kissed him and left. Peabody thought Oscar would like the pool. He could drink the water there, unlike the cavern, and he would probably enjoy swimming. He put Oscar back in his carrier and they went there. He put Oscar down and Oscar sniffed around a while before lapping some water. Peabody dangled his legs in the water and watched Oscar. The bright light was wonderful and soon he was laughing as Oscar barked at the water running down the waterfall. The water certainly behaved strangely, so he agreed with Oscar. He sat there for about an hour. He decided they needed ferns on the waterfall and a chair he could lay on in the fake sun. He knew when Oscar had enough. Oscar sat down next to him with his tongue lolling to one side. He petted Oscar and thought about how much his life had changed. He realized he hadn't thought of Robert or Max in several days. He was so glad he decided to keep living. If he had given up, he would have missed the greatest adventure he could imagine. Plus love! How many others had journeys that could compare to his? Not many, he was sure. Every day seemed better than the day before and even though he didn't see enough of the other brothers, he knew they loved him and he would eventually be able to spend time with each of them. He put Oscar in his carrier and headed back to their quarters. No one was there. He took Oscar to the movie theater where they watched Benji. He fell asleep before the ending. He woke up in bed, confused. He supposed he would get used to falling asleep in one place and waking up in another, eventually! He smelled food. He got up and walked into the kitchen. Lan was cooking. "How did I get in bed?" Peabody asked him. "I picked you up and carried you." "Wow! I must have been out of it!" "It is normal for hosts, even Alaphin, to sleep more when they are pregnant. Your bodies are working harder." Peabody thought that made sense. "What are we having for dinner?" "Steak." "Yum!" Lan left after they ate and Lin came. "I will eventually see all of you at the same time, right?" Peabody asked. "Yes. We all want to be present for the birth," Lin said. Peabody moaned. "I am joking, my love!" "Good." Lin hugged him. "Try to be patient just a little longer." "I will." Lin slept with him, but he was gone when Peabody woke up. There was coffee in the kitchen and cinnamon rolls. He fed Oscar and ate a roll with his coffee. He brushed his teeth, and then they headed back to the cavern for Oscar's walk. Oscar did his business. Peabody sat on the bench and thought about Pon. He had blown him right on that bench. He missed him. He missed all the brothers. "I really hope things will be back to the way they were before. I miss them," he said to Oscar. "That was before you came to this planet. Did you realize you are the first dog on another planet? No? Well, it's true. I'm the first human and you are the first dog. We are the first Earthlings to orbit Venus and visit the asteroid belt. We will have to write our memoirs or host a reality show. Maybe writing our memoirs would be the reality show. If not, you could sing, Oscar." "We have really left him alone far too long," Lin said. "I just hope he doesn't think the dog is answering him," Lan said. Peabody turned around and saw Lin and Lan. "Did you get enough sleep?" he asked both. "No. None of us have had enough sleep," Ban said as he came into view. "We will sleep later," said Fon. "Doctor, please order these people to get some rest," Peabody said. "Later. We have something to show you," Lin said. "Really? Finally?" Lin came over and put Oscar in his carrier. He got up and he saw all the brothers. "I can see you all at the same time!" They laughed. They all turned around and left the cavern. They climbed one by one up the ladder. They passed their level and kept going up. They passed the gym level and kept climbing. They got off in a tunnel Peabody had never seen. They walked about twenty feet and followed the tunnel as it turned left. It opened into a larger tunnel. Sitting there was a beautiful yellow sports car. Peabody stared at it. At first he thought he was hallucinating. A sports car? On Mars? Where there were no roads, no gas, and nowhere to go? It was a convertible and the top was off. Ban stood by it, holding a set of keys. Peabody saw they were at the end of a long tunnel. It looked a lot like the shuttle corridor. The tunnel descended to his right. Then he noticed a row of motorcycles to his left. "We have a car now? Where are we going?" "I was hoping he would ask that," Mun said. "Me, too," Pon said. "We are going to Peabody's Park." "What? A park?" Peabody was very excited. "That's what you've been doing?" They looked very happy and Peabody smiled at them. Lan took Oscar out of his carrier and put him in the car. "You can drive a car, can't you?" Ban asked. "If not, I figured it out and I can show you." Peabody laughed. "I know how to drive." "If you will follow us in your car, we will take you there." "I want to look at the car!" "It is a gift from Ban and Lan," Fon said. "It is electric, Peabody. You will be able to charge it at this end and at the park." "That's good. Otherwise you would have to build me a gas station." Peabody walked up to it. He ran his hand over it. It was stunning. He looked inside. It looked very nice. "It's beautiful! Do you want me to thank you now, in front of everyone?" Lan laughed. "I would prefer to be thanked in private. I'm not sure, but I think Ban would prefer that, too." "Oh, yes. Just the two of us, Peabody." Ban opened the driver's side door. Peabody climbed in the car. "Oh, it's comfortable!" Peabody started the car. "Do you like your new car, Oscar?" he asked. Oscar looked happy. "Do I drive normally? I don't want to wreck it the first time I drive it." "Just drive slowly and don't accelerate or brake suddenly." The brothers got on the motorcycles and drove off slowly down the incline. Peabody put the car in gear and followed them. He was in a sports car driving seventeen miles an hour. "This is so exciting!" he said, and he meant it. Oscar looked out the window from the passenger seat. The tunnel curved to the left and was straight for a while and then curved to the right. It leveled and the motorcycles sped up. Peabody did, too. "Ooh. Twenty-five miles an hour!" Finally, they slowed, gradually, and then stopped. The tunnel ended with a large area at the end. To his right was a door in the rock. He got out of the car and walked over to get Oscar. He picked him up and walked over to the brothers who were standing next to the door. "Ready, my love?" "I'm not sure! I'm very nervous!"
