Date: Tue, 14 Jan 2014 10:51:05 -0800 (PST) From: John Black Subject: Switching Sides, Chapter 4. Switching Sides Chapter 4 I was taken aback by his suggestion that we live together. I was definitely eager to do it, but I didn't know that he felt that way about me as well. He did enjoy my company (especially sexually), but he always seemed to be holding back. Perhaps, that was because he couldn't give me an answer to every question I asked. He was always hedging, trying not to reveal what I wasn't supposed to know as an outlander. Now that the general had granted my freedom, I could go anywhere and do anything I liked. But, I knew I'd need someone with me to explain all the new things I'd be seeing. And I had no money on me. That had been confiscated when I'd been captured. How was I to buy new clothing, food, or any of the new gadgets that I was sure to find? "Uh, Persid," I began, "assuming we go out tomorrow into the city, how will I know what to buy, and especially, how would I pay for it?" "The money you brought from your homeland will be returned to you," Persid said. "It won't be enough to do much, I'm afraid. I can't believe that they didn't send more. How were you supposed to spy on us when you didn't even have enough to rent a room for more than a week, let alone buy food?" "Uh, well, they said we could steal it or beg for it," I replied. "I thought it was pretty stupid, but I'd already made up my mind to defect, so I didn't put a lot of thought into it." I paused and reflected for a moment. "So, if I don't have enough money to last a week, how will I survive?" "I have more than enough for both of us, Koldan." I bristled. "I don't want to be kept like my friend Ettin." "Who is Ettin?" "He's my friend who was kept by the government guy, the black guy with the big dick that I infrequently fucked with," I stated. "Oh, I see," Persid responded. "Rest assured, Koldan, you'll be working and earning money from the job I have in mind for you." "Working?" I wondered. "I have no skills that anyone would pay for in your advanced society." "You underestimate your worth," he smiled. "And I'm not talking about selling yourself for sex, which you could easily do and make yourself a fortune. You are so much like the members of the Imperial Guard with your amazing build, huge dick, and round, hard ass. You'd be surprised how many men would pay handsomely to be serviced by one of the Guards. Those men are rare. And even after their service to the King, they are snapped up eagerly by men who will pay very well for their company. And you would be doubly paid because you love to get fucked, too." I grinned at him and kissed him softly. "But, that's not what you'll be doing, not with other men anyway. And I'm not paying you for sex, either. I've needed an assistant for a long time. My military duties afford me little time to really live, to run my household, to answer my correspondence, to shop, to cook, to do what nearly everyone else has time for. The general keeps me very busy and I'm at his beck and call twenty-two hours each day, every day. I've tried several times to find the right assistant. I've even tried an employment service, but they always come up short of my expectations. You're a very smart man, Koldan. You'll catch on quickly." I hoped he was right. I had much to do to learn the ways of these people and most especially how to be Persid's assistant. The next morning dawned clear and sunny. Persid lay beside me, his arm thrown over my chest, his hard dick pressing against my side. My stomach grumbled. Well, it was much lower in my abdomen than that. I needed to get to the bathroom to abort his gallons of baby gravy before I made a mess. I gently lifted his arm off my chest and slipped into the bathroom. After finishing my business in there, I went back to the bedroom and slipped in beside him. He'd rolled on to his back in my absence. His hard dick was throbbing against the sheet. I gently removed the sheet and gazed on his big, throbbing, precum-leaking dick. My mouth quickly engulfed his hardness. He moaned and opened his eyes. His hand pushed against the back of my head and encouraged me to do down farther on him. "I had a great dream about you last night," he moaned. "And now it's coming true." I continued servicing his big dick, hoping to get a big, creamy load from him. I tasted cum on his dick as well as the taste of my ass. After all, he had fucked and nutted inside me twice last night. I'd only fucked him once. For whatever reason, last night I needed to get fucked. Other forms of sex weren't on my mind at all. I needed Persid inside me, breeding me as only he can. "Oh, yeah," he groaned. "Like that!" In less than a minute, he grunted once and flooded my mouth with his sweet cream. I swallowed and swallowed again. This man could make so much sperm for me; hence, my need to dash to the bathroom earlier. We showered and ate breakfast in the general's dining room. Mat was there, but the general had already left for an audience with the king. We enjoyed a companionable meal with Mat. He gave me a new set of clothing that was more modest than anything I'd had been asked to wear before. Still, my dick showed, despite the loose drape of the fabric. "You can't hide manliness like that," Mat laughed. "I hope your stay here has been very pleasant and that you'll come visit us often." He kissed me chastely on the cheek. Persid and I left immediately. I had a small case with clothes and some personal toiletry items. He insisted that I bring along all the clothes I'd been given as he said they were provocative and would be perfect for wearing around our new home. "No need to parade your considerable qualities to the masses. There are a lot of gay men out there who would love to have a shot at you." "The only shot I want is from your big dick going deep in my ass," I assured him. "And I know how to turn down men graciously." We exited the general's home and turned left toward the central core of the city. I'd been transported to the central park to meet my contact yesterday, but I was so nervous that I saw very little of the city. Walking, I was able to take in the details. Everything was so new and different and colorful. That's nothing like my homeland. There, it is all drab and boring. "Ah," Persid said after we'd walked about ten minutes. "This is the men's store I was thinking of. They have everything you'll need. We'll stop later at a different store to pick up items you'll need to be my personal assistant." I must have looked like a fish out of water. My mouth was open nearly all the time, gasping at the riches and beauty of the city, the people, and the merchandise displayed in shop windows. But, before he could drag me into the men's store, I saw a shop right before it that had small movie screens on thin devices. They were displaying different pictures, motion pictures, and graphics, as well as text. "What is this?" I asked. "Oh," Persid smiled, "you'll need to get acquainted with those very quickly. They will be the center of your skills to be my personal assistant. We should probably go in there first." We walked through the open glass door and walked up to a glass counter that displayed more of the small movie screens. In the back of the shop were enormous screens. "What are those?" I asked, pointing to the large screens in the rear of the shop. Persid smiled again. "Those are air-vision screens." "What's that?" "You have broadcast radio in your country, right?" I nodded. "Well, you can receive picture and sound from a broadcasting station just like your radios receive transmissions from a radio station." I know I looked confused. "Like your radios, we also can receive many stations broadcasting different programs." "We have very few stations in my homeland. Most of the programming is religious propaganda with only a few stations with approved music," I sighed. "Damn, that must have been grim," Persid smiled. "How did you tolerate so few choices?" "I didn't," I laughed. "I left!" I looked again at the big screens in the rear of the store. "So, when can I come here and watch the programming?" "We have several at home, Koldan. You don't have to come here." "Wow! Really?" "Yes, really. But, you'll have work to do, so you can't be spending all your time changing channels to locate new programming; well, new programming to you. I'll explain it more when we get home. Meanwhile, you need to be introduced to our personal devices. Most people just call them PDs." He led me back to the glass counter. Pointing to one of the larger ones, he asked the store clerk to demonstrate it for us. I was overwhelmed with what the device could do. He was showing us so many features that I finally held up my hand and begged him to stop." "Too much information, eh, Koldan?" Persid smiled. "We have similar devices at home. I'll show you more there. And we'll have some classes that will train you on how to use them. Most of them have tutorials, but to get started, you really need someone sitting beside you, helping you navigate the many features. Meanwhile, let's go next door and get you outfitted for your new job." He thanked the clerk for his time and we left. In the men's store, we bought new shoes (casual, athletic, and dress), new shirts and pants, new underwear (although I wasn't sure I'd ever wear any), and formal wear for when Persid was invited to special functions and I'd go as his spouse. He'd, of course, be in uniform, but I needed to be in formal attire for such social occasions. When I was being measured for my pants, the tailor was purposely careless in rubbing his hand against my big dick. Of course, I boned up almost instantly. With Persid standing close by, he knew that was as far as he'd get. But, I enjoyed being felt up, anyway. The guy was handsome! "That's why you need underwear, Koldan," Persid admonished. "No amount of tailoring can hide what you're packing." The tailor agreed with a big smile and squeezed my dick again. "Less handling of the merchandise, if you please," Persid nearly snarled. All our purchases were boxed up or put in clear bags. Persid was told the total cost. He nodded and touched his ring to a small, round object on the counter. "Thank you, Sir," the tailor said, and we left. "Uh, will they bill you later," I wondered. "No, I paid for it there." "You did? How?" "You saw me touch my ring to that scanner?" I know I looked perplexed. "The round thing on the counter is a scanner." I waited for more information. I still wasn't getting it. "The scanner reads data on my ring that accesses my account at the bank. You do have banks, don't you?" I nodded, a little chaffed that he thought we were that backwards that we wouldn't have banks. "Anyway, the funds are transferred from my bank to the store's account instantly. No need to carry around money." "What happens if you don't have adequate money in your account?" "The transaction doesn't go through and you're enormously embarrassed." I laughed. "I guess you would be." "Let's head home. It's only a couple more streets." When we got there, he touched his ring to a small scanner on the outside of the door. "You have to pay to get into your building?" "No," he laughed. "The ring has more than my banking authorization on it. It contains my personal access code for my building and my apartment upstairs." "What happens if someone steals your ring?" "The ring doesn't work," he replied. "It is keyed to my DNA." "What's that?" I asked. "My genetic code that is unique to me, just like fingerprints are always unique." I nodded understanding as we walked through the door and onto the elevator. I knew what this was. Finally, something familiar. The elevator raced to the 32nd floor and the doors opened. We turned right and walked down a carpeted hallway about twenty paces. At a door that looked like all the others, Persid paused and pressed his ring against another scanner. The door swung open. A voice said, "Welcome home, Persid." I looked around to see where the woman's voice came from. I saw no one else in the hallway. "Who was that?" I asked Persid. He looked at me and then understood my question. "Oh, that's my PD. I call her Dora." "A PD is a personal device?" Persid nodded. "So, this is a machine like the one we saw in the shop?" "Similar, but this one controls the functions of the apartment and does data searches and so forth for me," he added. "And that reminds me that I need to add you to the security net for the building and department. We'll go out later and get you your personal data ring, so you can access whatever you need. We'll go to the green grocer later and shop for items we'll need to prepare dinner. Let's get you started first on understanding how the apartment systems work." He walked over to a large screen on a side wall. Off to one side was what looked like it could be a kitchen, but the appliances were sleek and unusual. At least the furniture in the living space wasn't strange. Off to the other side was a doorway that led to his bedroom. On the other side of the bedroom was an office with another large screen. I walked to the far side of the room and looked out the floor-to-ceiling windows and gazed out at the crowded harbor. "You have a magnificent view from here," I admired. "Not as magnificent as the view from here," Persid said with a smile. I turned and looked at him. "Yeah, you! You'd look good in any clothing, but I know you look best without any." "Pervert!" I laughed. "Thank you," he smiled back at me. "Now, let's get started with Dora." He walked over toward the large screen on the wall and sat on a sofa about five paces in front of the screen. "Dora." "Yes, Persid." "We need to set up another authorized user for my bank accounts, access to the building, and this apartment. He'll also need access to you for his own research and instruction. Koldan, please walk over to the screen and touch the black front edge." I looked at him curiously, but did as I was told. I then joined Persid on the sofa. "And restrictions, Persid?" Dora asked in a melodious, female voice. "No current military or classified data. Military history that is declassified is approved. Also, schedule us for an appointment to get him a ring with his DNA," Persid added. "Yes, Persid," she complied. "When would you like to schedule that ring and DNA appointment?" "The sooner, the better." "Accessing the central data base," she said and then paused. "Would an early afternoon appointment be satisfactory? They are available at 1:25 and at 2:45." Persid looked over at me. I shrugged. "We'll take the appointment for 1:25, Dora. Thank you." "You're welcome, Persid. Anything else I can do for you?" "Yes, please scan the other man in the room for his DNA, so that when we get to the central data base, they'll have everything they need," Persid instructed. "Already done, Sir." "Thank you, Dora." "Already done?" I asked. "How did she do that?" "She can scan anyone who is in the room for all kinds of things, including health and security. Clearly, you aren't a threat or she'd have said something and taken action. For DNA purposes, touching the screen always leaves skin cells behind. She can analyze that nearly instantly and will have your genetic profile ready when we get to the central data base." "I'm almost afraid to ask what you mean when you say that she can take action against a threat," I cautiously observed. "See those two small holes at the top of the screen frame?" I nodded. "She can project an energy beam from there that can incapacitate a person, but doing them no real harm. She will also contact the police, unless I tell her not to." "Dora, what do you think of my new man?" "He's very healthy," she said. "He is similar to you, but is taller. Has he or is he now a member of the Imperial Guard. He has all the attributes as I understand them, especially his male breeding tube," she added. Persid burst out laughing. "I guess that's one way to put it, Dora." "You do seem to have a preference for men with extraordinarily sized manhood," Dora replied. Again, Persid laughed heartily. I just shook my head. Obviously, Dora knew him very well. I'd have to ask her more about him later. "He's going to be living here on a permanent basis," Persid smiled at me and I grinned back. "We will be a couple." "Marriage?" Dora pressed. "Perhaps, later. We are still in the early stages of our relationship." "Aldig relationships are difficult to understand," he said. "But, I shall attempt a more complete understanding as I know about your `new man'. Just to be clear, I'm not finding his DNA in any database that I've accessed. Is that a problem?" "No, Dora. He's an outlander who has defected to our country. Please welcome him as you would me. By the way, do not include him in any database. The central data storage for his ring has a special, partitioned off section that only military personnel with specific authorization are permitted to access. Koldan is a double agent. We do not want him found and killed by his former comrades, if they figure out that he is a double agent." "Yes, Persid. Outlanders are a special category that I can't access, anyway." "But, others might. You'll have to trust me on this, Dora." "Of course, Persid." Persid pulled a personal device off the table and turned it on. "Dora, please transfer our food list to this device. We'll be shopping at Candliss." "Transferred," Dora said. On the device appeared a listing of food items Persid was running low on. "How does Dora know what you need?" I asked. "There are things I want to eat later in the week as well as things that she knows we are getting low on or are out of." "How would she know that?" "The chiller and shelved dry goods are on her inventory. She knows when we'll need more, or if something is beyond a safe date or spices have begun to lose some of their strength," Persid replied. "Now let me show you how to use this device." He showed me how to turn it on and off, which symbols accessed which features, and how to engage a typewriter. "I'll show you other features at another time." "Why doesn't this device allow for voice access and response like you have with Dora?" I wondered. "Such devices exist. They used to be very expensive and were only included in large screen devices like you see on the walls. The small ones have come down in price enough that I should probably trade-in this model and get the new one. It would be a lot easier for you to learn how to use them if you didn't need to be bothered with the old way of doing things." I nodded agreement. "We should stop at that same shop and buy a new one on our way to the green grocer. Dora, please remove all personal data and military programs from this device when we leave the apartment. Hold them until we return with the new unit. Then, we'll go to the green grocer." "Yes, Persid," Dora replied in an even tone. "I will add an application that tells you which aisle you'll find items on your shopping list. It will include where sale items are that you might want to consider. Would you prefer my voice or another on the new device?" "Yours, of course. Thank you, Dora." "You're welcome, Persid." He went back to teaching me some of the symbols and what they meant and what was behind the symbols that I'd need to know. The most important one was his calendar or schedule for the day. I noted that he had standing appointments in the afternoon for the next six lunar cycles. "People will send you requests for meetings or for me to attend functions. Some people let the device handle that, but I prefer a personal touch with someone who can say no." "Don't you have any time that you schedule for yourself? You can go to meetings all day long," I pointed out. "There are days when that's all I do," he sighed. He looked over his calendar again. "Why don't you try to schedule me for personal time each day at high sun for training? That will be my workout time or time to spend with you during the day. We could also use it to get your questions answered. You should also get a device that is your personal device where you can schedule your day as well. That way, we could work out together occasionally." I nodded my agreement and added it to a mental list I was preparing of things to do before we returned to the apartment. After three more hours of instruction and trial-and-error on my part, we left the apartment. Of course, Dora had deleted all the files that Persid had requested before the door closed behind us. Just as we entered the personal device shop, his chronometer toned. "It's the general," he stated. Holding his wrist up to his face, he said, "Yes, Sir?" "One hour, my office," the disembodied voice said. "Yes, Sir." "Let's buy you a new personal device and then head back to the apartment. I'll get a new one for myself later," Persid sighed. "We'll go to the market after I return and ask Dora to reschedule us for late in the afternoon at the central data base. I really want to be with you when we go to the market and the central data base. I need to impress on them personally the seriousness of not allowing your information to get into any other databases." Once more, the shop clerk demonstrated a couple of devices with the features that Persid wanted and knew that I needed. He purchased the one he desired and paid for it. I didn't have any input other than to decide on the color. I decided silver was probably best right now. The more colorful ones were too gaudy for me. Back at the apartment, Persid told Dora of the change in plans. She changed the appointment to later in the day and preloaded all the applications in the new device that she thought I would need, including two that Persid suggested. "Dora, please instruct Koldan on how to easily use this device. Give him some tasks to perform, so he'll feel more comfortable with the new personal assistant. Please give the new device a different voice, so we'll be able to discern the difference." "Yes, Persid," she agreed. "The new device is ready for use. Please try it out Kordan to see if the voice is to your liking. Then, we can begin your instruction. Should I assume training should commence at the beginners level?" "Yes, Dora," Persid replied. "Meanwhile, I have an appointment with the general. I'll call as soon as my meeting and any subsequent assignments are completed. If I'm gone beyond 4 this afternoon, please move the appointment for the central data base to tomorrow. My morning should be relatively free, unless I'm tasked with new duties by the general." Persid kissed me, groped me, and left me alone in his apartment. "Shall we begin, Dora?" I sighed after Persid was gone. "Of course, Koldan. Have you been shown how to turn on the device?" I said that I did. "Once you have turned it on, you can tell the device to power down, but remain ready to respond to you. You shouldn't have to turn it on or off again." The screen bloomed into color and text. The voice in my device welcomed me. "Is the voice satisfactory?" Dora asked. I assured her that it was fine. "Now, introduce yourself to your personal device and ask for a name suggestion. Choose the one you prefer." I did that, too. "Now, talk to your new device. For instance, I would suggest you start with Persid's calendar." "Fiona, please show me Persid's schedule for the rest of the day," I said. My new personal device blinked, and then showed a time-line with times along the left side and persons or tasks to be completed in that time slot in the middle of the screen next to the time. His evening was free. "Please show me tomorrow, Fiona." Again, the screen blinked and a new schedule appeared. The morning schedule showed that the entire time was taken up with training me. His blocked out mornings hadn't been changed since the general released me into Persid's care. Quickly, I asked Fiona to block out high sun every week day for an hour, so we could work out together. At my direction, Fiona showed me more schedules for the following six weeks. Only two social events had been scheduled for the evening in two weeks' and four weeks' time. Fiona asked if I would like to include those events in my calendar. I agreed and asked that high sun also be blocked out for me to workout with Persid. Fiona made other suggestions for times I should receive instruction on using the device and other applications on it. We settled on two hours in the early morning and two more in the early afternoon. I wanted to leave plenty of time for Persid with his need for my time as his assistant. "Please show me the list of items we'll be buying at the green grocer's, Fiona," I asked. That took a second to appear. Evidently, Dora had to transfer that information to Fiona before it could be displayed. "I'm not familiar with some of the items on the list. Please show me pictures and tell me what the item is used for, Fiona. By the way, Dora, did you add the application for finding products in market to my devices, too?" "Yes, I did, Koldan," Dora replied. "Thank you." By then, Fiona had displayed pictures of the items in question as well as a short description of how they were prepared. All but two of the items were familiar to me, but the names were different. Something more to learn, I sighed inwardly. "Fiona, do you have any knowledge of the kinds of foods and products we have in Faldo?" She acknowledged that she did have a fairly complete understanding of my former country's products. "Do any of those Faldo products compare to the two items I don't seem to recognize?" There was a pause before Fiona said that there were no items similar enough to say there was a match. "Perhaps, I could help, Koldan," Dora broke in. "I have access to more complete data." I asked her to please proceed. She showed on her screen the name of the produce that I knew in Faldo and what it was named here. The onion-like vegetable had the same appearance. "It is not frequently used, but it does add a delicate onion undertone to any dish it is in. Persid prefers it over the usual bulb onion or green onion. And it doesn't add color to the dish, either." "Perfect! Thank you, Dora." "You're welcome, Koldan." "Fiona, please add this item to your database and include any other items from my homeland that Dora has knowledge of," I directed. "Certainly, Koldan," Fiona replied. Dora interrupted, again. "I'm sorry, Koldan, but I've just received a communication from Persid. He will be unable to join us later this afternoon. I will reschedule your appointment with the central data base." "Did he say why?" "All he told me was that this was a military emergency and he wasn't sure when he'd be home," Dora revealed. "Faldo is attacking, isn't it!" I surmised. "I don't have that information, Koldan," Dora stalled. "However, I am seeing unusually heavy communications traffic in the capitol. It is similar to when the last two attacks occurred." "Those IDIOTS!" I stormed. They'd taken the bait that the general had given them through me. With their depleted forces, they'd be blasted from the sky before they got closer than 100 miles from the capitol. What were they thinking? They must have completely believed that the hole in Aldig's defenses was real. Even a small strike on the capitol would create great damage and shatter the political and economic structure of Aldig. Knowing where they were going to attack, Aldig would easily prevail. I hoped! This story is fiction. Your life isn't. Always play safe. Please donate generously to www.nifty.org.
