This story will also involve sexual and intimate relationships between two (or more) males, and if this offends you or it is illegal for you to be reading, then please leave. If you are under the age of consent for your community, please leave. And if it does offend you, I honestly don't know why you're even here in the first place. Or are you just into things that offend you? Huh, kinda existential, I guess. Teth 4 "What??" Aileena dropped the drumstick she was eating, causing a rather loud clatter that the surrounding wulves turned their heads at. Xusion quickly shushed her. "Not so loud! Do you want the whole Huddle to find out?" his voice was lowered to a whisper, and so was Aileena's now. The bustle and talking of the rest of the wulves resumed. "Xusion, do you realize what you've... what has... well, what's happened? You've discovered a basically extinct people that potentially have the power to destroy anyone who comes in their way! He could turn on you next!" "That's not true. We've talked. Psii aren't as barbaric as we were taught." "Sure, sure... whatever you say." Aileena twiddled her fingers, and seemd to say "I give up." "I suppose that shouldn't be surprising after all... Besides, these were the same history books that said humans were the paragon of all good. Sooo, why are you telling me this?" "Well, I felt like I could confide in you as a friend." Aileena gave him a funny look, but Xusion threw up his hands in innocence. "I swear! That's all." the look prolonged. "...Ok, I also need some advice." "And you thought I'd be the right person to ask." "I dunno! Two heads are better than one or something. Come on, gimme some ideas. He's upset, he's really angry and frightened, I don't know what to do." "Angry? Just lemme cast a pacifying spell on him! I do it to people all the time." Xusion raised his eyebrow. "What?" "Yeah! I'm great at them. You'll just bring me to him and I'll-" "Listen, Aileena. He's been through a lot. He still doesn't fully trust me and I just got him upset, and... I'm not sure if it'd be a good idea to just do this without his permission. I don't wanna lose what little progress I have." "But, but you-" Aileena pouted and crossed her arms, her furry ears hugging her head. "I wanted to see him at least. Don't tease me like that." Giving in to Aileena's expression, Xusion ran a hand past his own ears and through his hair then softly growled. "Fine. But don't cast any spells. And don't say anything, and don't shift." "Tch! I never do. I promise I'll behave." she innocently put her palms together. The halo could not be provided, and in Xusion's eyes, it did not deserve to be imagined either. ~~~~ Teth didn't get up as he saw the figures of Xusion and a stranger shift into humanoid form. There was Xusion- he was familiar with him. But the woman: ebony curly hair down to her waist, deep brown skin, swirling tattoos of the third scouting strata around the wrists. She had an inquisitive eye. Before Xusion approached Teth, Aileena pulled on his arm and whispered in his ear. "...He's just sitting there, glaring at us. What's he doing?" "Probably wondering about you." he whispered in response. "He looks so angry." Angry he did look, and angry he was. To Xusion's frustration, Aileena quickly broke her promise and pushed in front of Xusion, putting her hands on her knees and ironically looking at Teth like a human to a dog. "Hi... hi... I'm Aileena. What's your name?" Teth, along the same lines, looked like a feral hound ready to bite if the hand that fed him came too close. Xusion saw a little bit of himself in Aileena's cautious reaction. She retreated back to his side. "Does he know how to talk?" "Decide for yourself." Teth stated bitterly. The sting in Teth's voice caused her to flinch. "I'm sorry." said Aileena in a regretful whisper. "Aileena's a friend. She's worried about you too." Xusion said, taking over. He gave a frustrated look to Aileena before kneeling down in front of Teth. With gentle effort he procured eye contact. He could still see fear and residual anger in Teth's eyes, so that was unchanged. But Teth seemed far more trusting of Xusion than Aileena. "Come on. Stay with me. You're gonna be okay. We're gonna get you through this." Although Teth remained silent, in secret Xusion's words began to gather more and more meaning in their repitition. Xusion's dumb smile, the way his ears perked up when he listened to him speak, his always respectful distance and apparent penchant for repitition- maybe he really was safe with Xusion after all. But he was maybe a little bit too absorbed in Xusion's concern. While Xusion distracted him, Aileena quietly found an opportunity to perhaps continue her previous plan. She crept around the periphery of the place, tip-toeing until she was behind Teth and Xusion. Without Xusion noticing, she put her hands and lips together. "I may not know much about this kinda thing, but we'll find your family, and you'll won't be alone, and maybe we'll..." Xusion's voice faded away. Instead, the air grew heavy and the sound of a sleepy song slithered into Teth's ears. Teth's eyes widened. He covered his ears and opened his mouth in a silent scream. Xusion didn't understand until he heard and saw Aileena singing. "Aileena! No!" he yelled. But it was too late. In one deft motion, Teth swirled to his feet and slashed his arm at Aileena. A gust of wind conjured in an arc, sweeping Aileena off of her feet and into a tree. The force her back hit the trunk with caused a rain of leaves to pour to the ground. As Aileena slowly rose again and rubbed the back of her head in pain, Teth stood incensed, eyes wild, his hair a mess, his chest heaving up and down. Xusion lunged forward and grabbed Teth's arms behind his back, easily stifling any more struggle with superior physical restraint. Teth still wiggled in vain against Xusion's bonds. "You're here to put me to sleep!" he screamed. "I knew it! Get away from me!" "No, Teth, she didn't mean it! She was only trying to help-" Xusion was cut off when a blast of wind rocketed from Teth's pinned hands, almost blowing Xusion off. It failed, and Xusion repositioned his hands into an even more compromised position. "Calm down!" While Teth physically exhausted himself, Xusion really couldn't help but marvel at how weak his physique was, yet how strong his will. He chuckled to himself, reminded of a stubborn puppy. Aileena made her way over to Xusion's side again, clear of Teth. "...I've never seen anyone react that strongly to a pacifying spell." she said. "What happened to him, Xusion?" Now Xusion became stern. "I don't know." Teth's struggle lessened. Xusion craned his head over his shoulder, speaking directly into his ear. "Hey. You're okay. I'm here." It seemed the words pacified Teth. His muscles grew limp, his head dropped. Xusion slowly loosened his grip. A bad idea. Teth's skinny wrists slipped from Xusion's hold. "Teth-" Teth blew both Xusion and Aileena away in a windy explosion. By the time the breeze faded away and Xusion could see again, Teth had disappeared into the forest. ~~~~ "Fun" fact for fans!: I couldn't really decide how magic would work in Teth. As of writing this, the kinks are still being worked out, but I think it'll have something to do with song or melody, or something, almost like the game Tales of the Abyss, if you're familiar with it. Heya, Part 4 is almost completely original material! Definitely not what I was expecting when I started uploading the story. Haha, part 5... might just be a bit shocking :O! Well... that should be interesting, to say the least, even for me. As per usual, thanks for reading! Questions? Comments? Reccomendations? Fan Mail? Hate Mail, maybe? Wanna just chat?
