I was starting to lose track of what was real or not. I had never known a boy like him before. Never had sex before. I knew I had an attraction towards men but this time was different. It was a whole new level of emotions. Here I am sitting in my room in this empty house. Yes my dad is here but he's always busy, but I still feel alone. There's this boy in the mirror that keeps watching me. Its me but its not me. Reality is twisting and turning. My mind is racing so fast that I can't keep track of my thoughts. The world is crumbling beneath me. With meeting Vince, my world has been turned upside down and inside out. Things are changing all around me. Everything seems so distorted and unreal. The world I once knew is gone. What was I to do? I needed to get a grip of reality and get things straight again. Am I losing my mind? Am I going crazy? Or is this my reality? A tapping sounded upon my bedroom door, not a knock, but something more. There's a beast waiting for me on the other side. As to reveal my secrets that I hold inside. The memories are blocked and gone away, though the pain and agony are here to stay. The floor beneath me began to crack, to pull apart from front to back. I steadied myself so not to fall with The tremors of the shaking walls. I looked in to see the firey hells. And to my hearing I heard the bells. The bells would ring, then crack and burn. The sounds of children to scream and their concerns. Something happened long ago, but at last where did my memory go. I sprang up from my bed in a heap of sweat. My whole body drenched, I was startled from the dream. I couldn't tell if it was real or not. But something was telling me there was more to this place than I thought. I'm missing something. But what could it be? I got out of bed and a change of clothes to roam the halls to follow the sounds of whispering voices. All they told me were to follow me. I made my way outside and still the voices pulled me in. I finally got around to the old cellar door which of course to find it locked. I heard the tapping from the inside, I moved closer to place my hand against it. Before I touched it, the doors with a loud pounding sound shocked me as I jumped back. I don't know why but I had to know what was in there. I raced inside to find the old key that Sarah got from the sherrif. And there it was. In the usual spot on the end table. I grabbed it and ran back to the cellar door. I fumbled as I tried to get it in the key hole but it slipped and fell through the crack. I tried to put my fingers through to see if I could reach it, but once I touched the key, I heard it bounce down the concrete steps. It was lost. Before I pulled me fingers out, a hand grabbed my fingers and screamed. "LET ME OUT OF HERE!" The voice had an eerie shrill in its voice. I jumped back, slipped and fell on my ass as I screamed. I stood up and sprinted to the front to go back inside. As I turned the corner, Sarah was standing at the door. She turned quick to see me running towards her. "What's wrong sweetie?" She asked. "Somebody's in the cellar, and I dropped the key." I panicked. "Oh come on, how could there be anyone in there? Its locked from the outside." She laughed. "Come on, I'm not fucking stupid. Ever since we got here, everything has been strange. Disembodied voices, seeing things, people that aren't there. Hell, even places that aren't there shows up out of nowhere." I snapped at her. "Calm down dear, what are you going on about?" She asked. "Come on, just show me that there's nothing strange going on. I want to show you the boy in the mirror." I said as I grabbed her by the arm. I dragged her inside and before I opened my bedroom door she stopped dead in her tracks. "What's wrong? You aren't afraid of a ghost are you? You even said so yourself that there's no such thing." I said to her. "There's more to it. You're not ready yet." She said as she looked away from me. "What the hell is that suppose to mean?" I said in a sharp tone. She just shook her head and walked away. "Wait Sarah. Sarah?" I called. She had already walked out the door. By the time I opened the door, she was gone and the fog had filled the yard. The fog was thicker this time, all I could see was the beginning of the walkway from the porch. There also seemed to be stones of some sort peeking through the fog. I walked outside to see if I could make them out, but I saw a light in the distance. I walked towards the orangish glowing light and confined until it got brighter. Just to find out that I walked in a circle or so it seemed. It was the porch light to our house. I tried to turn around and walk the opposite direction and again made it back to my house. I couldn't leave my house without being turned around. I walked back inside and the house looked brand new. There were lights from a small chandelier in the living room, plants on the end table. The sofa wasn't shredded anymore and the curtains were hanging in the window. I walked through the house to find each room was different. There were beds in each bedroom. The floor wasnt cracked or warped anymore. They had a shine to it. The bathroom had a brand new sink and a shower. Am I in the wrong house? I walked into my bedroom and noticed that I had an actual bed, I dressed and an old record player. I walked upstairs to see if the attic looked any different. The doors were all unlocked and the attic door was already open. I climbed the steps and peeked around the corner. The attic was clean. There was a few boxes, but the mirror was gone. Just thinking about it, the mirror wasn't in my room either. Wandering through the house, I heard no voices or seen anything strange going on besides everything being new. I went downstairs and heard glasses clinging together so I followed the sound to the kitchen. "Mom?" I asked I stood there in disbelief. I swear it was my mother standing there washing dishes. She died a month ago, so how could this be? I then heard my dad talking about the baby. "Wait, what baby? Dad? Mom? What the hells going on here?" I asked frustrated. Neither of them responded. My dad walked to my mother and turned her around to kiss her growing belly. She was pregnant. But how? She's not real, none of this is real. I then hear a voice behind me. "Mom? I had a nightmare." The voice said in a soft spoken voice. I turn around and it was a small child about six years old rubbing his eyes. He had brown that went past his ears, big brown eyes and scrawny. This was starting to bring back memories. Was this me? Mother walked up to the child and picked him up. "There there sweet child, everything will be fine. Don't you worry about a thing." She comforted him. She then took him to my room and tucked him in as she sung him a lullaby. *sweet child rest your head, the light will save you from the dark. The angels watch over your bed. As the demons gone away and out of your head.* He fell fast asleep as she kissed him on the forehead. Was I dreaming? There she stood, as lively as could be. I was invisible to her. In a split second she was gone. Then I hear her scream. I run out to the hall and see her at the end. The mirror was hanging on the wall at the end with bloody hand prints smeared down the middle. My mother had bled from something unknown. A flash of light shot through the hall and she was gone. But then I hear laughter in one of the rooms. I walk to the door and before I touched the door, it swung open and a younger child ran out of the room giggling and laughing. "You can't catch me haha." He giggled as he was being chased by someone. There was nobody chasing him though. I followed him into each room. He would crouch down beside the beds and scream and laugh as he would run away and hide again. He made it all the way into the attic. Once I followed him up there, he was standing in the middle of the room and stood there in silence. He turned to look at me and pointed at me. *This looked all too familiar* I thought to myself. I wasn't sure I wanted to look behind me. But I turned my head and there stood a man with a hood from before. But this time he wasn't disfigured. He was the grounds keeper. "I got you now." Said the man in a graspy voice. "Let's play a new game ok?" He smirked. The little boy backed up until he bumped into the mirror that was gone a few minutes ago. The old man became frustrated and started to yell at the boy for knocking the mirror down. As he took his coat off, he stepped closer to the boy and raised hand to smack him. I stepped in the way and his arm went through me and he was gone. So was the boy. The mirror was left standing again as nothing ever happened just now. My memories are starting to come together slowly. Who was this boy? And what happened to him? I just couldn't figure it out. I then walked downstairs and as I slowly walked by each door. The house began to change back to the worn down place that I knew. The walls were decaying right in front of me. I got down to the bottom step and heard a door shut, but I couldn't figure out which one so I tried to open each door. Of course they were all locked again. My dads study was even locked thus time. I went back to my room and walked inside. The mirror had a handprint on the glass. Was it my mother or was it the boy?
