I was really spent, and although he had reached climax, too, I think I had the better of the relationship. I certainly would never forget the meaning of `whoopee'. After lovemaking, we took a short nap, holding each other. We were awakened by Kent's voice telling us that we would be landing in about ten minutes. That was more effective than the best alarm clock. We were out of the bed in moments, using the bathroom to refresh outselvesd, and moved quickly to our chairs, securely fastening our seatbelts. "So, what do you think we should tell them about drinks and dinner?" I asked. Ry, looked at me, smiled, and said with warmth, "I am ready for anything, Lover. After making love to you, I am relaxed, comfortable and happy. Let's join them. That doesn't mean we have to go to bed with them. If that happens, then as long as you are with me, I guess it would be okay." "No. I don't want them. I want you, Hon. You are my lover, my partner, my husband. I want to keep it that way. I can dream about casual sex, but I don't have to participate," I told him. His answer was to take my hand and bring it to his lips. He kissed my hand gently, and said to me, "Thanks. I only want you, too. We are a couple with plans for a future with children. I want to keep our vows, making you my and only," he said as a couple of tears slowly rolled down his tanned, masculine face. I undid my seat belt and went to him, sitting on his lap and kissing him firmly. He stroked my back, and I leaned a little away from him so that I could look directly into his eyes. I smiled at him and told him, "Hon, we are a couple. And with the boys, God willing, we will be a family. I want you forever Ry. Forever! I love you!" "You'd best get back in your chair and get that seatbelt on. I don't want to lose you in some silly accident. Now get going." Almost as soon as I had fastened my seatbelt, we began the descent into the small New Hampshire airport. We landed smoothly and taxied to the little building that served as the airport terminal. Kent pulled into the space prescribed by airport personnel. Jesse opened the door and the stairs went down. There was little fanfare when Jesse and Kent moved the luggage into the terminal. Soon the pilots were confirming the arrangements that had been previously made. That task completed, Kent and Jesse met us in the main room of the terminal and accompanied us to the waiting Explorer. Opening the car doors, they assisted us into the vehicle and loaded the luggage. We sat in the back, while Jesse drove and Kent rode in the passenger's seat. With little conversation, we left the airport, and headed to Vermont and the West Hill Inn. It was a short forty-five minute ride to the inn. Just seeing it again, flooded me with wonderful memories. As Ry took my hand and squeezed it tightly, I knew immediately that he, too, was experiencing the same feelings. Jesse parked in a space near the entrance to the inn. We got out of the Explorer and walked up onto the porch, again looking out over the Vermont hills. Ry put his arm around me and pulled me to him, and although it was cold, I was warmed by my lover's closeness to me. He whispered , "Baby, does all this bring wonderful memories back? I can't believe how much I feel the same magic that we experienced when we exchanged vows." "Ry, it makes me happy just to be back here with you. I really love you, Hon." "Ditto!" came his quick retort. Jesse and Kent joined us on the porch with the luggage. Kent said with a hearty laugh, "Let's get into the inn before I freeze my balls off." Jesse joined in the light-hearted interchange, saying, "My cock is so shrunken from the cold I wouldn't have enough to fuck a mosquito." Kent quickly added, "You never could anyway." "Ha!" said Jesse, "My cock always seems to please you. You like it anyway I want to share it with you, my horny lover." Ry and I were laughing, and my husband said, "We're going inside while you two decide how successful Jesse is as a lover." We walked through the inn doors and went to the desk to take care of registration. The desk clerk recognized us immediately, and before we could say anything, he called us by name, as he welcomed our return to the inn. he quick registration and the warm hello pleased us. We signed the register, and were patiently waiting for someone to help us with our luggage as Kent and Jesse joined us. They were smiling and obviously in a good mood. The bellhop, whose nametag read, Peter, arrived at about the same moment and, after gathering up our bags, asked us to follow him to our accommodations. Just as we were about to leave, Jesse asked, "Well, have you thought about drinks and dinner tonight?" Ry quickly answered, "We would be happy to join you guys for drinks and dinner. What time did you have in mind?" "How about 6:30?" asked Kent. I replied for both of us, "That will be fine. Let's meet in the bar. Kent, why don't you make reservations for dinner? "Gotcha See you at 6:30." Jesse answered. By this time we were at the door of the inn following the bellhop. I looked at Ry and smiled. I knew the moment we left the main house where we were going. I was right when we were led to the cottage we had shared on our wedding night. "Here we are Mr. Taylor and Mr. Kelly. I am to tell you that your father, Mr. Taylor, demanded this cottage for your stay. We hope you find everything to your liking. If you have any problems, no matter how small, please call the desk so that we can take care of it. Good night, sirs," said Peter said as he left us inside the door to the cottage. Thank God for Ry who had enough presence of mind to say goodnight for us and hand the Peter a tip. I just stood there in some kind of stupor, overwhelmed, I guess, by being back at a place that had served as the remembrance of one of the happiest times of my life. I became aware of Ry closing the door and coming to me. He took me into his arms and held me close. Neither of us said anything, enjoying the moment. "Can you believe this?" asked Ry? "Just leave it our dad to do something as wonderful as this for us. I love him as much as you, Hon." "You're so right, Baby. But you know what? I can see Mom's hand in this, too. Let's get unpacked, freshen up, make out a little, and then who knows." he said to me. With a quick kiss, we were off to freshen up for dinner. ------------------- (Ryan narrates) Sean and I had very little time to enjoy the cottage, as it was nearly six o'clock when we arrived there. We did rest for about ten minutes, got unpacked, made out a little, but didn't have time to enjoy a long sexual adventure. We took a quick shower, put on some clean clothes, and were ready to meet Kent and Jesse on time. Our walk to the bar and dining room also brought back a flood of wonderful memories of our commitment ceremony and all the gracious and supportive family and friends who had joined us there. The bar was quaint and softly lit.. At first we didn't see the two of them as they were seated in a booth at the very back of the bar. Jesse stood up and waved at us, motioning for us to join them. Sean smiled at me with a knowing smile as we walked toward them. "Hey, guys, we really appreciate your joining us for drinks and dinner. By the way, this is on us. We're getting paid really well for this little excursion, so not to worry about the check, Kent daid to us. The two of them were sitting on one side of the booth, so Sean and I took our seats opposite them; Sean facing Jesse and Kent facing me. Sean spoke first, "Hey guys, thanks for asking us to join you, but really don't worry about the check. I am able to take care of the entire bill with no problem. So what are you two drinking?" "I'm having a scotch and water, and Kent is having a dry martini. What would you guys like? And check out the bartender. He's hot, and with a name like Graham, he sound be gay," Jesse asked with a wide smile on his face. "If you say he's hot, Jesse, then I imagine he is. Good luck to you two if you go hunting. Sean and I really don't drink much, so I guess I'll have a Corona Lite. What will you have, Sean?" I asked. "A large Coke will do me fine, thanks," he replied. Just at that moment, Sheila our waitress, came to take our order. The flyboys ordered refills, and I ordered my Corona and Sean's Coke. Sheila had brought a platter with a number of munchies. Sean who began sampling the various items that ineresed him. We all joined him, enjoying the nibbles. I decided that now might be a good time to discuss driving the Explorer tomorrow. I knew that it would probably be emotional and trying for Sean, and frankly, I didn't want Jesse and Kent there to make matters worse. Additionally, I felt that what was to be discussed tomorrow between Sean and Father O'Rourke was intensely personal, and I wondered if even I should be there to hear it. "About tomorrow," I started, " the mission we are on is a very personal and highly emotional one. I had thought..." Jesse interrupted me, "Listen, Ryan, we've already discussed it and we don't think we should be extra baggage, so we will stay here at the inn and enjoy the downtime. There's an exercise room, an indoor pool, a steam room; plenty to keep us busy. And if we get bored, there's always the inn transportation which will take us into Brattleboro, so don't worry about us." "I really appreciate what you two have decided to do. I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring, and, except for Ry, I don't want anyone else there. I'm glad that you understand that. Thanks for thinking of me," said a relieved Sean. Sheila appeared with the drinks and, knowing men, she also had another platter of munchies for us. We thanked her and she left. It was fast approaching seven and our dining reservations were for that time. Everyone finished their drinks in a timely manner and we moved toward the dining room, but only after leaving Sheila a generous tip. Jesse had signed the tab on our room. Sheila hurried to find us just before we got to the dining room, telling us, "Sirs, all charges at the hotel are to be paid after you leave. A Mr. Gerald Taylor will be paying for everything. Just sign the tabs, but don't worry about paying. It has all be taken care of by Mr. Taylor." "I'll be damned!" I said. Sean laughed and said, "What did you expect, Hon? You know Dad. When he said he would take care of everything, he meant just that. I suggest we all relax and let him do what he decided he wanted to do." Kent and Jesse looked at Ry, and said almost in unison, "You are a fortunate guy to have such a generous father. We'll be sure to thank him for his kindness." We moved into the dining room where we enjoyed a leisurely dinner with loads of entertaining conversation. No one brought up what we would do later in the evening, and I think the two pilots had already decided that we were a committed couple and that they should not interfere with that commitment. I was happy that it turned out that way. Sean later told me that he was glad of that, too. He said he didn't want to appear rude to the guys by saying we weren't interested in a tumble with them. After dinner, we returned to our respective rooms to carry out whatever plans we had for later that night. I knew that Sean and I had to discuss tomorrow and what it might mean, but I also wished to make love. Time would tell. -------------------- (Ryan continues to narrate) When we got back to the cottage, we sat on the sofa in the living room. Sean looked pensive, and I realized that, even though he had been a good dinner companion to all of us, his mind was probably on tomorrow and what he would find out from the good Father. I sat close to him and put my arm around him. He shuddered, and I immediately wondered if now was a good time for romance. I decided that it wasn't, and after kissing him on the forehead, I asked, "Baby, are you worried about tomorrow?" Very quietly and in almost a whisper, he told me, "Yes." I decided he need some more hugging, and so I took him into my arms and hugged him, kissing him softly on his lips. I could feel the tenseness of his body, and there was an almost imperceptible shaking. It wasn't from sobbing. It spoke more of dread, of discovering something about his life that would once again become a distraction and a painful experience. I pondered briefly what I should say, and finally decided that the best approach would be a straightforward one. "Sean, you can't let this matter, this business of the voices, become a controlling force in your life. You need to face it with courage and determination. You must solve this problem at the cabin, and with my help, and the help of Father O'Rourke and your Aunt Emily, we should be able to do it." He sighed deeply, as if it were coming from his soul, and I responded by pulling him tightly into my arms, kissing his curly blond head, and patiently waiting for him to speak. There was a long period of silence, punctuated by the sound of the pendulum swinging back and forth in the grandfather clock that stood in the corner on the other side of the room. Gently he pulled himself from me and stood. He walked away for a few steps and turned, looking at me with tired eyes. He didn't smile, but with this serious and pained countenance, he finally spoke. "Ry, I'm sick of it all. I want it over with. Do you understand? I want to live my life with you, alone and not hindered by recurrent episodes of my parents contacting me to tell me how to live. I knew what I wanted and it was you. And they told me they approved. Now we have this mess. And, Ry, it is a mess. We had hoped to have the building done in late spring so that we could have the new place furnished. In my fondest dreams, I could see you and me and the boys enjoying a wonderful summer together. It would give us an uninterrupted time to get to know each other, not for you and me, but for the boys. And now this business. I wonder if we will ever have a family and a place to call home. I'm really discouraged, Hon. I'm really unhappy," he told me as tears began to form in his eyes. I didn't quite know how to respond to this, so I waited a bit. Sean went on, "I know you can't tell me what to do because we don't even know what is happening or why it is happening. I want you with me, but I realize that whatever is going on is my problem and not yours. There has to be some important reason for this happening. Remember, my parents said a final goodbye to me, leaving us to live our lives together. And now, suddenly, they are back. I just don't understand. Hon, this will surprise you, but I really don't care." "Sean, you don't mean that. I understand how disconcerting this whole episode in our lives has become, but I know that deep down in that wonderful heart of yours, you want to make things right so that your parents can really rest in peace. It has to be very important, or they would not have interfered in your life again. I don't know why they didn't tell you earlier, but perhaps they never imagined it would become a problem. Baby, just remember that I love you very much, that I will be with you, and I know deep in my heart and soul, that we will be able to solve this problem and then move on with our lives. I hate to seen you so upset when I know your energies and effort should be at the piano preparing for the concert," I said. "Ha! I will certainly screw up the concert. I'm just not that good. I mean, I appreciate Rog recommending me, but I also know, Hon, that I have big limits. Without some intense practicing, it will be a disaster. I just want to forget it all, I want to...." I angrily interrputed him. "Sean Kelly, just stop that shit! I don't want to hear any more self-deprecating spiek coming out of your mouth. I told you this once, and I don't intend to tell you again, Rog would never recommended you and Dr. Coen would never had asked you to play unless both of them recognized your talent and skill. Now, listen to me, my beloved: I don't want to hear anything more about the concert until I congratulate you after it's over. That's final" He stood there aghast, his faced drained of color and his fists clenched so tightly that the knuckles were white. I prepared myself for the onslaught. I even imagined that he might strike out at me, but at that moment, I didn't care. I wanted him to understand that I would no longer listen to any drivel about his lack of talent. I had listened enough. I waited. I could see that he was trying to gain control of himself. But I didn't smile or move to him. I stood as tall as I could and starred him in the eye, not flinching. Suddenly he sort of crumbled. He sat in the nearest chair, put his head in his hands, and sobbed. It broke my heart. Again, I saw him get control of himself, he looked up at me, his face tear-stained, and in a muffled, emotion-filled voice, said, "You hate me, don't you?" That was it. I walked quickly to him, pulled him from the chair a little roughly and with my face very close to his, I told him in a loud and angry voice, "Sean Kelly, don't you ever say that to me again. How could you even think that I hate you? My God, I love you so much, so deeply, that you have become the center of my universe. I am really upset, Baby. Really upset! I'm going to bed. Good night." Before Sean could say anything, I hurriedly left the room, went into the bedroom and slammed the door. I knew he saw the tears that were streaming down my face. I was distraught. I stopped on the other side of the door trying to catch my breath and get my emotions under control. I was shaking with anger, or even more, disappointment. Confused and angry, I began to pull off my clothes. I ripped the covers back off the bed, and naked and shaking, I dove onto the bed, put a pillow over my head and had a good cry. I felt something on my back, and as I took the pillow off my head and turned, I saw that it was Sean, standing over me, tears falling from his eyes, his body shaking with sobs. What was I to do? I loved him so much. The dam of my anger broke, and I pulled him down on to the bed with me, and together we wept, knowing full well that we had had a major rough spot in our relationship. I started to remove his shirt, and soon with efforts from both of us, he was naked and in my arms. "Ry, please, please forgive me. I can't believe I said what I did. I guess it was my frustration; the uncertainty of this mess at the cabin, and some anger with my parents for not leaving us alone. No matter what I said, my beloved, I love you with every fiber of my being, and I would gladly die before I would hurt you. I did hurt you, Hon, and I don't know how to make amends for that. I'm so sorry; believe me, Ry, I would be desolate and unwilling to go on if you didn't love me. I guess I was scared of so many things. Don't you see that I need your strength, your calming presence? What would I do without you?" and he started sobbing again, his hot tears falling on my chest. Now I felt like the world's biggest asshole. "I forgive you, my darling Sean. I love you, baby. Just know that I love you," I whispered to him. After a long and emotional day, we quickly fell asleep in each other's arms. The lesson learned tonight was so true. Even when we love someone, that doesn't mean we can't get angry. Both of us had demonstrated that, and both of us now regretted it. It was in the truest sense, more cement for our relationship. It was now stronger. Morning would bring renewed love and understanding to our commitment. -------------------- (Ryan contiues to narrate) When I awoke the next morning, Sean was not in bed with me. I got out of bed and went into the bathroom expecting to find him, but he wasn't there. I walked to the living room and found him wrapped in a blanket, sitting on the sofa, staring out the window at the hills of Vermont. I stopped to study him. He was awake, but he didn't move. He would sigh from time to time, but that was all. I decided I had to go to him, to let him know I was awake. I walked up to the back of the sofa, leaned over and kissed him on the top of his head. I got no response. I moved around the sofa and faced my lover. I didn't wait for him to speak; I asked, "Are you okay, Baby?" "Come here," he ordered me. I went to him and he opened the blanket and welcomed me in. I moved to him and enjoyed the warmth of his body. I remained silent, hoping that I had not disturbed his private time. He took my head and kissed me gently on the lips. I could feel my cock growing and hardening. I also could feel his cock responding. "I love you so much, Ry. I can't believe I said what I did last night. Thank you for forgiving my lapse in brainpower. I don't know what possessed me. Thanks for not letting me get away with that. I understand your anger with me, but I guess I don't understand why you didn't punch me out, or leave me to stew in my own juice. That's what I deserved. I was the supreme example of a craphead. Make love to me, husband; I want you in me making me know I am forgiven and that you still love me." I knew then that we would solve the problem at the cabin and return to living our life as we both wanted. But at the moment my lover wanted me to make love to him. So I did.
