From CH6:
`Wanna dance?' Chris whispered never breaking eye contact with Ryan.
`What?' Ryan said starting to walk away again, as a slow song started to play.
`I promise you wont forget this one' Chris said lovingly as he pulled Ryan close to his chest and began swaying with the tune, as did all other couples in the street, but for them it was special, it was a sign of their love.

`Maybe this time I'll be lucky, maybe this time he'll stay, maybe this
time for the first time love wont hurry awwway!' Katrina belted into the
microphone,
her red ball gown glittering under the heavy lights as she danced and sang for
her loving fans, she was one of the best drag queens available. Thunderous
applause erupted from the audience; Woody's was really packed that night.
Katrina bowed and blew kisses at her adoring fans, the curtains gently came to
a close as the music died down, the act was over, but the night was still
young.
`When are your parents coming home?' Chris asked Ryan as he gently ran his fingers through his hair.
`They'll be here tomorrow morning, I cant believe they still aren't home I mean come on its been 4 days since I woke up, you'd think they'd come and see if I was ok' Ryan said a little annoyed.
`True. But we got to spend 4 days together no interruptions or anything.' Chris smiled kissing Ryan on the cheek `Come on I'll walk you home'.
`Ok sweetie, wait a minute' Ryan said walking backstage and popping his head into Katrina's room `Hey Sam. Katrina was great tonight'
`Maybe this time I'll be lucky' Sam laughed as he took off his wig and put it onto his dress mannequin.

Ryan slid his key into the lock, a small snap sounding as the lock recoiled, the door opening easily. Chris stepped inside after Ryan, as light swam into his eyes, the house was immaculate, no a spot of dirt or clutter anywhere, cream walls and wooden floors, pictures of flowers on the wall providing small bursts of color, pictures of the family from various holidays one containing a hugely built man, who Chris guessed was Ryan's father looked very intimidating, and looked nothing like Ryan. The pictures of Ryan's mother bared striking resemblances to him, the same striking blue eyes and pale skin and lips that shamed the reddest rose. Her Hair however the embers of winters fire that must have gradually turned black over the years, as the black and fiery auburn was mixed, but still stunningly beautiful. Ryan must have inherited the darkness, and ended up with the darkest brown hair humanly possible.
`Are these your parents?' Chris said pointing to a photo with Ryan and his parents in front of the Disneyland castle; he didn't know Ryan had ever been to Disneyland.
`Yeah My Dad's called Craig, Mum's called Jennifer' Ryan said taking his coat off and putting his keys on the entryway table.
`Your mum looks a hell of a lot like you, only you're more beautiful' Chris said kissing Ryan on the cheek. `I better get home; I'll call you later ok?'
`Sure goodnight sweetie' Ryan chimed before kissing Chris deeply on the lips, as Chris's masculine arms wrapped around him tightly, holding him close.
`You'll be with me like a handprint on my heart' Chris whispered before departing into the night.

`Ryan wake up. Ryan your going to be late for school' Jennifer said shaking Ryan awake; he never used to sleep in.
`I'm getting up jeez give me a minute' Ryan said swinging his legs over the bed and running into the bathroom, the wooden floors making his feet sting with cold.
`Jesus Ryan what a mess...' Jennifer said making his bed, throwing his schoolbag onto the floor, its contents spilling everywhere, including Ryan's sketchpad. Jennifer picked it up and began thumbing through it, such beautiful drawings of flowers and buildings, of famous films and people and then the pictures began to change, they were all of one boy, a teenage boy...naked, then it was Ryan and the boy kissing and at the back of the sketchpad was the name `Chris' written over and over again in various fonts.
`I'm out of shampoo' Ryan said coming back into the room a towel wrapped around his waist. Jennifer quickly stashed the book into his school bag before he could see.
`Sure honey, I'll uh go get you some' Jennifer said flittering out of the room, seemingly dazed.
Twenty minutes later, Ryan came down the stairs, fully dressed in his school uniform with his beautiful brown hair hanging slightly over one of his shoulders, while elegantly tucked behind his left ear.
`I'm Ready'
`Ok then lets drive' Jennifer said grabbing her car keys and opening the front door for her son.
The car pulled, gracefully out of the driveway, it was a big silver jeep Ryan's mother had owned for about 2 years, and Ryan loved it.
`You know I got my first car when I was 19.' Jennifer said making conversation with Ryan ` my boyfriend was Dan Simmons, now he taught me what a kiss really was' she laughed.
`Ewe gross' Ryan said giggling himself.
`So do you have a boyfriend Ryan?'
Jennifer stopped the car, she needed to hear him say it, but she didn't Ryan unbuckled his seat belt and ran off as fast as he could, he had to escape, she'd kill him if she knew.

`She knows' Ryan nearly shouted out of breath.
`What?' Chris said taking Ryan in his arms, sensing and seeing how fucking terrified he was.
`She asked me if I had a boyfriend, I don't know how she knows' Ryan said nearly bursting into tears `Oh god if she tells my dad I'm done for'
`Don't worry; I wont let him come near you I promise. You're staying at my house from now on. Now come inside and we can snuggle in bed and talk'

`Excuse me ma'am but I'm looking for my son, have you seen him' Jennifer said showing a woman a picture of Ryan, she had figured Ryan would run to the gay bars for comfort, but the Diner was the only place open. The woman to whom Jennifer was talking had blonde hair, but it had darkened over the years hey eyes were bright gleaming emeralds and her smile was flawless red lips, it was Chris's mother.
`Oh Ryan? I haven't seen him since last night sorry dear I wish I had, wait you're his mother? Well hi I'm Rose '
`Yes I'm Jennifer. I asked him if he was gay and he took off, I have no idea where he is' Jennifer said tears starting to run down her face and smudge her make up.
`Hey hey don't cry sweetie, he's probably at my Son's, Chris's Uh, listen, uh ... if you ever need to talk to somebody, I'm here most days and nights but I live at 26 Whitfield road Cause I know what you're going through, the finding out. I mean I always knew about Chris in fact I told him... to spare him the pain of having to tell me. So ... Jennifer ... don't ask, 'Are you?' because it's never a question. Just say, 'I know.'
`Thanks'

`Kiss today goodbye, the sweetness and the sorrows we did what we had to dooooo wont forget cant regret what I did for lovvve what I did for loooooovvvvveee.' Katrina sang into the microphone, it was late and this was her last encore, Ryan's mother kept ringing and txting him, but he wouldn't answer or reply he was far too scared.
The crowd broke into applause and shouts of approval as Katrina bowed and kissed the air, loving being in the limelight.
`Come on, lets go home' Ryan said standing up and yawning `I fancy an early night' he shamelessly flirted sending a sexy wink at Chris.
`Oh do you now?' Chris said returning the wink with a deep kiss.' What we waiting for then?'
Chris led the way out of the bar and down the street, as Katrina ducked into the bar's alley for a quick smoke, she was supposed to be quitting but what her boyfriend didn't know would never hurt him.
`Hello?' Katrina said as she heard some voice down the alley.
The force of the punch was amazingly brutal, sending Katrina to the floor and knocking out one of her teeth, the men kept kicking and punching trying to teach the `fag' a lesson he wouldn't forget, tearing at the stunning ball gown, and reducing Katrina into a bloody mess. After they got tired, they left her their like a dog, half naked and badly beaten, as passers by outside the alley ALL gays and lesbians, had no idea what had just happened, on their little gay street, to such a beloved friend.
